We had 5 bridesmaids, two flower girls, two moms, and the bride all getting services done on a tight timeline, and all of the artists did an amazing job (including with some very long and thick hair in the bridal party). The coordinating team was communicative and easy to plan with throughout the process.

really nice words to manage expectations. I had my day of coordinator call me 4 days before the wedding to tell me our timeline didn’t work even though she had approved it weeks in advance. I called Lux and asked if there was anyway we could start earlier even though I was past the deadline for making changes, and they were so kind and accommodating.
Veronica did my makeup trial and day of look for me and my bridesmaids. She was phenomenal, really sweet, and even got us done ahead of schedule which was perfect! Tanya did everyone’s hair, and she must have super powers because everyone curls and looks held up even with hours of dancing.

Disclosure- This review is for the people managing Lux Beauty and Bridal and not the women from the hair team that showed up on my wedding day.
Do not book with this company if yo...
u want top notch service and easy communication. They do not answer their phones. You have to schedule a time to get a call back if you want to speak with a person outside of their automated emails. They have a 90-day policy on the numbers for your hair and makeup whereas almost every other vendor I had for my wedding and the ones that I vetted before my wedding had policies closer to one month in case you have someone drop out of your wedding our lineup- KEEP THAT IN MIND BECAUSE THINGS HAPPEN. I realized a miscommunication on numbers had happened and they refused to remove one person from my hair lineup and made me pay for it even though I notified them more than a month before the wedding.
They also will not let you speak directly to your hair or makeup team at all before your wedding. They make you email them what you want to say and then you have to wait for the game of telephone before you hear back what the artists say. It is exhausting and a complete waste of time. I have no idea why they are even necessary to be honest. I would book the artists that work for them separately because they were amazing but because they were affiliated with Lux I couldn't tell what I was going to get because I wasn't allowed to speak to them in advance and run ideas past them about my hair trial.
I had to contact my venue and let them know that I had a horrible experience and that I regret using the preferred vendors list since they had recommended them. They also mentioned Lux's very strict policies and contracts and that it wasn't the first time someone had mentioned how inflexible they are.
They are all about the contract and not willing to work outside of those parameters so just keep it in mind :).
Otherwise my hair was great- I personally just could not stop talking about how awful their managers/ the owner was so I felt bad for the staff that have to work with that.

Offering $70 as a service removal fee is not a nicety- it’s completely inflexible and idiotic. Why would I want to pay more money to you? Lol.
My sister HAD to take the time slot because otherwise the artist gets paid for doing nothing for 45 minutes and she's my sister, she wanted to make my day easier.
Booking a hair and makeup trial at the same time is SUPER normal. Every other bride I have talked to including my sister who was also married in Dripping Springs have had their hair and makeup done at the same time for the trial. Once again, what you think is an extra nicety is just a normal thing so it’s not earning bonus points in my opinion.
The emails from real people were only after I complained so those numbers of contact were just the staff refuting why I couldn’t get a service removed.
Lastly, to offer my personal email correspondence to future clientele in this review response is a shocking offer to make and I’m sure any future bride reading that would be horrified that a business owner is offering to share anyone’s private email information to the public. Honestly go for it 😂! I’d love to see someone see how yall handled all of this! lol.

clarify a few key points for accuracy and for anyone reading:
Communication and phone calls
-Since booking in May, you received 12 automated emails (invoices/receipts, reminders, next steps) and 18 emails from our admin team—real people.
-We also accommodated a same-day phone call when you asked to talk through your trial, even though we normally schedule calls in advance. Outside of that, our policy is scheduled calls with all booking/timeline changes confirmed in writing so nothing is missed.
-Our voicemail notes that calls are by appointment. If additional calls are needed, we’re happy to schedule them; written follow-ups protect accuracy for your artists and your schedule.
Artist contact and “telephone game”
-Our policy states artists don’t handle admin—artists focus on services only while our admin team manages timelines and changes so nothing gets overlooked.
-Despite our policy (shared by the admin team) that we don’t provide artists’ personal contact information, you still requested the artist’s phone number at the trial and she declined per policy.
90-day change policy (why it exists)
-The deadline appears in your Agreement, Quote, “Next Steps,” and 4-month check-in. After that point, artists’ calendars and payouts are finalized to protect their income. It’s also worth noting that vendor policies differ. For hair and makeup, it’s very difficult to backfill appointments inside 90 days, especially in peak season like November. Many artists rely on this period for a significant share of their income, so last-minute removals can materially impact their ability to cover expenses.
-You requested to remove a hair service after the deadline and stated the artist should have verified service counts at the trial, even though our materials explain that booking updates are handled by the admin team—not the artist. As a one-time accommodation, we offered to remove the $120 service from your invoice and substitute a $70 removal fee, which would've saved you $50. The artist would still be paid the full service fee so their payout wasn’t affected; LUX would absorb the difference and keep nothing.You declined. You ultimately filled the slot with your sister, who was very happy with the result.
Day-of timing
-The outside makeup artist you booked independently ran about 45 minutes late, pushing your start in our chair from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM. Thankfully, your hair timeline had a 30-minute buffer we built in, which kept the day on time.
Additional courtesies
-We made a rare exception to allow your outside MUA to use our studio for the trial so everything could happen in one place.
-We requested your makeup artist’s email to coordinate schedules and prevent any service overlap, so your wedding morning would run smoothly.
-Your additional hair artist also completed a hair extension add-on at no charge as a courtesy to keep the morning stress-free.
We understand our policies felt strict to you, but they are designed to protect your wedding day and your artists, and they are communicated repeatedly before anything is signed. Many clients appreciate that structure. We regret that our approach wasn’t a fit for you, while we stand by the accuracy of the documentation and the professionalism of the team who served you.

t. I let my makeup artist know, and she did exactly what was needed to keep my makeup in place all night, which included a lot of dancing and sweating. My daughter preferred a more natural look, and she looked stunning. I had several other wedding party members do either hair or makeup, or both, and everyone looked beautiful and was incredibly happy with her look. I highly recommend LUX!!

Cedar matched my inspo picture perfectly and was so easy to work with! I was a little scared that my extensions would be too long so she put them in a little higher to help me adjust :)

They arrived on time and even finished their services slightly early. They were very upfront with how much time they would need to complete all of the services prior to the date of the wedding. on the internet. When I came across LUX, I knew that they would be a perfect fit! They were very easy to communicate with and were extremely organized and accommodating. After doing the trial session, I was even more excited because they made my vision become reality better than I could have ever imagined (I'm not great at communicating what I want in this department). On the wedding day, the timeline was clear and the stylists were professional, making the preparations go smoothly. Myself and my wedding party don't wear makeup regularly, but they answered questions and made us feel comfortable and confident in our natural looks. Everyone LOVED their hair and makeup and the whole experience with their stylists. I can not recommend LUX enough, as I felt more confident and beautiful than I ever have before, thanks to them.

super quick and helpful. For makeup, I was paired with Veronica Aguilar and I could not have been luckier. Veronica executed my dream look perfectly! She was so kind and really made me feel special both for my trial session (which also happened to be my bridal portrait day) and on my big day. After my trial, the venue owner (during my bridals) said my makeup was the best he had seen in a while and was so impressed with how it looked after several hours. For hair, I was paired with Sandra Mach and let me tell ya, she is magical. I showed her two pictures before my trial that were different from my original inspiration pictures and she made my hair better than pinterest- not even being a little dramatic! Looking at the sneak peeks from our photographer, I am so impressed with how my hair and makeup lasted throughout the whole night!! I had 8 other girls getting hair and make up (in 4 hours- yikes but Lux made it happen!) There were 3 other stylists helping us that morning and every one of them was so kind and prompt and everyone loved their look at the end of the day. I am so pleased with how smooth the morning went and I owe it to all the stylists :) THANK YOU!!

keup they had ever had done. Joanna and Andrea were our two lead artists and were easy to work with, friendly, professional, and experts in their craft. I did a trial session with the two of them prior to our wedding day and they were open to feedback to get it perfect (although I didn't have much to give, since it already looked perfect). On the day of the wedding, they arrived early and staying on schedule the whole time. I also loved that LUX put together a detailed timeline from the start, so there was no question about how to fit everyone in. I would recommend LUX, and especially Jo and Andrea, to anyone looking for wedding hair and make-up services!

She is a hair wizard and her makeup skills and knowledge are beyond impeccable! They made every step of the process (from booking to payment and contract signing) seamless and simple. Jena also did an incredible job on our makeup. My bridesmaids and I were all so glowy (yet natural) and that’s exactly what I wanted. She was also so sweet to incorporate some added touches at the end with particular blush and eye shadow colors I requested last minute, and she was so patient. Overall loved working with LUX- their response time was great, they were accommodating, and so helpful. I could not be happier!

Right after that- I booked again with LUX for our welcome party and wedding day! At my trial- I was once again partnered with Veronica (at my request) and Rachel for my hair. It felt like visiting with old friends!! We had such a good time chatting and I was thrilled with my hair and make-up look. I fully trusted them to get me looking my best!
All of this was no different on the actual wedding day. Veronica and Rachel came in as a hype squad to really kick off the day!! I can not say enough things about these incredible women. They are the sweetest and most fun pair- I definitely feel like I snagged the A Team!!
