I’m more than happy to show anyone how she “photoshopped” my uncle’s face into our family photo of 7 people, as Melissa wasn’t able to tell that his face was completely blocked by his wife while shooting. This was the *only* family photo I would have had from our wedding and she completely missed the mark. How can you not see if 7 adults have visible faces in a photo?? When I brought it up to her after seeing the proofs, she said she could fix it… and the cut and paste editing job she sent back to me is honestly hysterical because it is so bad. I requested a photo of all of our wedding guests after the ceremony…She didn’t even think to stand on a chair/step stool to get a better angle… you can’t even see half of the people in the photo! I could go on and on, but the bottom line is, we screwed up by choosing her instead of hiring a professional. She is lazy and terrible. She applied blanket whitewash filters to every photo and sends them back to you as if they’re gold. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. PLEASE HIRE A PROFESSIONAL. I **promise** you that you’ll get better photos/angles/ideas if you hand an iPhone over to a teenage girl to photograph your wedding. Paying this fraud was the biggest regret of our wedding, do not make the same mistake we did! There is a reason her business isn’t thriving… DO NOT HIRE HER!

we loved seeing someone who loves what they do doing exactly that. She is an incredibly talented photographer and I think the best way to explain her personality is sweetheart meets firecracker. It's contagious and uplifting. My now husband and I decided the second week of April as we were planning the big wedding for September that we'd 'elope' by the end of the month. As hectic as the planning and prepping was, our photography item on our to-do list was NEVER a hassle thanks to Melissa. We emailed 4 photographers inquiring availability and pricing, and Melissa was the only photographer to not just contact us back that same night, but called us to discuss details and introduce her and her company in a more personal way. We LOVED this. Only to fall in love with Lux Light Photography when we looked thru her website albums and even going on to read her blog that has fabulous articles she's written for engaged couples getting ready for their big day. We filled out a form she created for her clients and loved all the questions that she asked including especially family relationships//no-longer-relationships that should be kept in opposite corners of the room(: She helped me with what to expect and the 'norms' that I never thought of until about an hour before walking down the aisle... she knew how to keep the bride calm and excited all at once while continuing the flow of photography moments between the daddy-daughter reveal, bridal suite, grooms suite, and knowing the difference between the happily divorced parents and keeping the other set of divorced parents far apart. Everything about Melissa and her quality of work is simply perfect. We are extremely lucky with how everything aligned for our special day and being able to have a photographer like Melissa capture it. A big big big thanks to Melissa and her professionalism AND personality... she just knew how to keep everyone focused no matter which group of people she was photographing (this was a whole task in itself with our only 27 people guest list of a wedding) while making everyone laugh by being such a personable, bubbly, firecracker that you just KNOW when you meet Melissa this is her authentic self. 5 stars are not enough for Lux Light Photography... From our initial contact with Melissa, inquiring if our wedding date was available, she was very prompt, kind, fun, and incredibly helpful in all of her correspondence with us. This girl seriously knows weddings! She will be able to assist you with just about anything wedding related – not just pictures! She was very instrumental in helping us create a wedding day timeline. My husband and I flew into Michigan a couple of months before our wedding and she was even able to meet with us to go over things. On the wedding day itself, Melissa and her assistant, Ashley, were awesome to work with. They gave amazing directions for all of the poses and honestly, it was very natural and nothing felt forced. After the wedding, we did not have to wait very long at all to receive our pictures. When we did, we were amazed! Literally all of the wedding pictures are gorgeous and we will treasure them forever. If you are like me and relying heavily on reviews when choosing vendors, do yourself a favor and choose Lux Light Photography! Melissa and her team do not disappoint. She is incredible!
