She opened up her suit to the bridal party after I had difficulty booking a room with the resort (as things often go wrong wile planning a wedding) Tara was there to fan my tears and calm my anxiety. She blended right in with all 8 of our strong personalities and got the job done with a whole lot of finesse with a twist of fun. The hair was phenomenal and my bridesmaids looked like mermaids -a jungle wedding must! My hair and makeup was bespoke and very special. Customized to fit my personality and my style. It looked so amazing in photos and I felt like a goddess! I would hire Tara all over again and really appreciate her patience and skill set.

On top of everything, she was SUPER sweet, and all of my ladies loved her! My hair and makeup withstood an outdoor ceremony with a little rain and a lot of dancing. I didn’t do a trial, but I was happy with her stylistic choices, and she definitely glammed me up! This wasn’t a problem at all, but for brides planning ahead, I might suggest you bring a lipstick you like for touch up later in the evening, or if you have a long-lasting lipstick you like, you can always have Tara apply it. I would definitely recommend Tara!

g and boy did they deliver. From the minute I met them on the trial, Tara answered every question from type of lipstick to ways to improve skin care routine leading up to the day. I sat down on the morning of the wedding and essentially told her I wanted a completely different look and she didn't skip a beat and created the most stunning and natural look I had ever seen. Not to mention, she even addressed an often overlooked part of make up: the neck! She put Angelia Jolie's make up artist to shame ;) Now Jimmy, my goodness. If you don't love Jimmy you are crazy. This guy! He is insanely talented, hysterical, and kind. He multi-tasked getting girls hair done, making jokes and keeping my 1 year old nephew entertained. He created gorgeous looks for myself, the bride, to my mother in law and mom to all my bridesmaids. And he did it all with a smile and hilarious commentary. If you are looking for an amazing crew with not only talent but the personality to keep you laughing and happy on your day, look no further. THIS IS IT!

I was really happy with how my makeup turned out and Tara did a great job understanding what I wanted and making it happen. We had Jimmy from Luxe do our hair and he also was fabulous. They were a great team that kept the mood light and fun. Not one person in the bridal party had the slightest issue with how their hair (or makeup for that matter) turned out (when does that happens!?)-he did a wonderful job. Tara placed my hair extensions perfectly and Jimmy finished my hair style and it all came out better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Luxe. They are THE BEST.

I felt like I could trust her when I needed advice but she was never pushy and always made me feel like I had complete control over my look. Day of, they brought everything they needed in what I can only call a Mary Poppins suitcase of hair/makeup/lighting, and came to us so the girls and I could relax while getting ready! Everyone looked great and we had so much fun. I would highly recommend Shannon and Tara to anyone!

able. I had barely any changes I wanted to make- but everything I asked for she adapted and changed to fit my dream. I know so little about hair and just showed her 1-2 pictures and she was able to create the exact look I was looking for. My makeup was picture perfect all night. She came to my house for our trial earlier in the week and dealt with the craziness of my family all around her. She and Jimmy (her hair stylist) were the perfect team. They added an element of fun to getting ready and took away any stress I might have felt. They also spontaneously did makeup and hair for almost all of my bridesmaids since they were so fast and efficient (we hadn't planned for this). Tara is amazing and has my heartiest recommendation.

She was attentive towards what color eye shadows I liked and what looked good with my skin tone. Also, my bridesmaids looked beautiful! Wes Pursley did my hair and he did such a fantastic job! I actually changed the plan last minute, he squeezed me into his schedule for a practice round, and it came out so beautiful on the day of! I went for more of a loose, curly up-do with a flower piece and he nailed it! And again, my bridesmaids looked beautiful. The whole staff was so friendly and fun during the getting ready part of the day. I never felt stressed or rushed once. Their timing was perfect. I would recommend this group to anyone!

sn’t going to be able to finish all 4 bridesmaids and bride in the time we had allotted to get ready. It was then my responsibility as MOH to find a professional that could accommodate hair and make up for a summer wedding in Portland with only a week left until the big day. I contacted Tara via the knot and she immediately responded. She answered all of my questions with professionalism and I was was incredibly impressed with her customer service up front. She offer to travel to our venue or to provide her services within the Salon she works from. We opted to have her travel to us and day of the wedding she showed up 20mins early, quickly got set up and got to work. She listened to our requests and provided her professional input to ensure we were happy with her services. We had to get ready 6 hours before ceremony for photos and I’m so pleased to say our hair and make up lasted the entire day and even into the late evening. Aa an event professional myself I’m so thankful to have found Tara in a last minute crunch and couldn’t have been more happy with her ability to make us feel comfortable and beautiful on such a special day! I’d highly recommend her for anyone looking for a professional, talented and personable hair and make up stylist for their big day or any special occasion!

rried that I wouldn’t find someone, or let alone find someone who had nice photos, was affordable, and had reviews of some sort! Luckily Tara literally saved the day for me and was the quickest to respond and was able to quickly communicate with me through text to get myself, maid of honor, and bridesmaid booked for that following Sunday. Tara was very prompt to arrive, and was a couple of minutes early to the hotel so that she could setup and meet everyone. She did so well amidst all of the “chaos” of the “getting ready” time in the morning and really put me at ease. I totally didn’t plan right for music that morning, but once again Tara saved the day and put on a Spotify playlist on her phone. (Thank you!!!) She even jumped in to offer waterproof liner to my makeup artist/ bridesmaid that had traveled in from out of town. Talk about above and beyond! This girl comes prepared and she is super personable and easy to talk to. She was just the right kind of energy that we all needed on the morning of the wedding. Also I didn’t do a trial or anything and she completely exceeded my expectations for my hair. All I had to do was show her a couple of styles I had pinned and she went right for it. Not only that, but it also rained on the day of my wedding so I was a little worried about my hair and makeup holding up. My hair (and makeup) was absolutely flawless the entire time, through the rain and all the way until the end of the night because she had done such a wonderful job. I would highly recommend Tara to anyone that is looking for someone to help them get ready on their special day. She was incredible and absolutely exceeded my expectations and came through for me at the perfect time.
