th, stubborn, and a had a rude tone to her voice. She got into little arguments about silly little things with multiple people who are not confrontational. In the end, the hair styles all came out fine, but the experience was not good. Would unfortunately not recommend.

resentable at all. I provided a picture of myself from when I had gotten my hair done for a previous wedding as an example of what I wanted (smooth, neat curls). I tried to smooth it out on my own and then asked for a touch up before they left, but she reverted it back to how she had originally styled it. The curls were not uniform at all, going every direction and frizzy. After the wedding I reached out to Lynda to say I was not satisfied with the styling (which was $125, not including tip). I was met with immediate defensiveness and even gaslighting from Lynda - saying it was because of the weather and she thought I looked great (did not go outside before taking photos). Lynda does not offer refunds, only a complimentary free styling. As I'm not local and was not happy with the services, that was of little value.

l with Lynda and started the trial by letting her know that my skin was really dry. She then spent the whole time critiquing my skin - telling me the makeup wouldn’t look good because of my skin, talking about how badly I needed a facial, etc. I understand that it is a makeup artist’s job to notice such things, but she really piled on about it in a way that made me feel uncomfortable and insecure, which no one wants on their wedding day!
I also didn’t love the lip color and told her very specifically what I wanted instead. After trying one or two others (which didn’t match what I asked for) she threw her hands up and said I’d have to find lip color myself before the wedding day.
To top it off, the hairstyle she gave me was so far off from the photo I gave her that I didn’t even know where to begin to ask for tweaks. The whole look was very 1998 prom. For this reason, I chose not to use her services for my wedding.

She answered all of my questions and is SO prompt with communicating and always offering to speak to me even later at night or on weekends basically just going above and beyond at all moments! ed to look for someone else, Lynda responded very quickly to my email and was extremely friendly, flexible, and willing to help me out. I did not do a trial because I was short on time, but was confident based on photos and my conversations with Lynda that she would do a great job. She was able to fit me in despite having another wedding the same day as mine. On the wedding day, she arrived on time and was very professional, efficient, friendly, and helpful! We had our makeup done early, but Lynda gave me a touch up kit and even offered to come back after she finished with the other wedding party if I needed anything. I absolutely love how my makeup turned out and it lasted all day, despite some serious heat and lots of sweating on the dance floor! I loved the airbrush makeup and eyelashes, and Lynda helped me pick out a fun lip color and even gave me some extra for reapplication. I am not used to wearing a lot of makeup, but I did not feel overdone at all and felt like I looked like myself. My skin looked great, and everything photographed really well. A few months later when I had decided that Lynda was my top choice, I called to confirm rates and see if she was still available for my wedding date. Although her pricing had increased since my friend had called, Lynda honored her previous quote despite the fact that I had nothing in writing and had never spoken with her before.
When I showed up at the trial I had about 10 potential styles that were in consideration. Lynda helped me identify what I liked about each picture and put together an updo that incorporated different aspects of each photo. Although I loved my hair after the trial, I had a last minute change of heart and decided I wanted a different look. Even with no lead time Lynda was able to make the switch effortlessly and I absolutely loved the result.
On the day of the wedding she and her assistant were on time, organized, friendly and were able to do hair for seven people in just a few hours. All of the girls looked absolutely beautiful, and more importantly they were all happy with how they looked! Lynda was absolutely fantastic and I could not recommend anyone higher.

She got me so excited about what I envisioned for myself, and what I wanted to convey with my hairstyle - one of the fun things a bride gets to think about! After about 5 minutes, I was sold and booked her on the spot. And it was the best decision I could've made! Lynda and I stayed in touch throughout my planning process, and our trial run confirmed that I was in very good hands. She was a great listener and nailed it - I felt like a princess! To be sure she could replicate it, she took a bunch of pictures and emailed them to me to review (I loved every angle!). When my wedding day arrived, she was right on time, and brought two assistants with her to accommodate my party of 9. We were all on a timeline, of course, and she helped us stick to it. She had me completely styled and ready to go when my photographer arrived. And she could not have been warmer to me and my bridesmaids. Everyone loved her and her assistants, and we had a blast getting our hair done in my room (at OceanCliff in Newport). Most importantly, it took the pressure off of me to get myself out the door the morning of my wedding. I was able to wake up, shower and get beautified, all in the comfort of my own room. Fabulous!
