Lynwood Estate was originally built in the 1880s and is a Queen Anne-style mansion. Built by Samuel E. Des Jardins, a French Canadian architect, the manor was constructed for Brutus J. Clay II as a gift from his wife, Pattie Field Clay. It is a versatile wedding location with multiple ceremony and reception spaces to choose from. There is also plenty of parking for your guests. This venue is spacious, with room for up to 300 guests to dine and dance. Couples can also have access to the main house for their photos.
Rental packages at Lynwood Estate provide access to the property from Thursday until Monday. This is to allow vendors plenty of time to get the space ready for your event. The team also offers two property visits for the use of planning your event and provides staffing to ensure that your occasion goes smoothly. Two packages are available, with the option of one-day or two-day rentals with overnight accommodations. Such a setup allows guests to unwind and enjoy the celebrations. The grounds are beautiful but we were very disappointed overall with Lynwood. They seemed very accommodating and nice when talking with them before the wedding, but then on the wee...
kend of the wedding things changed. Their attitude was very unfriendly, rude, and untrusting. Everything was very locked up and uptight. There was someone standing post outside the bridal suite every second making sure only the bridesmaids entered, but they wouldn’t even let my 8 year old step son in to get help with his suit. We were given attitude when we asked if we could work on flowers arrangements under the tent (not even inside the house) a couple days before, my mother and grandmother in law were given attitude when they tried to enter the house to take pictures with the rest of the bridesmaids (they were locked out in the rain), my mother was given attitude when she asked about the security deposit after and told her we were the worst clients he’s ever had. The grounds keeper told us plenty of stories from previous clients, I know we were not the worst. I’m not really sure what we did wrong. They were rude to my wedding coordinator. When I texted a concern about the setup with rain, I was only responded to with “Stop worrying”, I felt completely disregarded. The bathrooms were dirty and weren’t restocked. The chairs and tables were not cleaned after fall and winter storage and my mom had to clean them. And the utility sink was also very dirty, the only place to wash or get water. And no garbage bags were provided for clean up the next day, making things very inconvenient. To their credit, I will say, I was treated well as the bride (other than the “stop worrying”), and I did not see any of the rudeness myself. But it was disappointing to hear that all this was happening to other important people to the day.
