Jason and his team were absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work with! Everyone from him to his team were super friendly, professional and very detailed oriented. Our MC, DJ and photo booth operator were very attentive with us and our guests throughout the night ensuring everyone had a great time. Common trend of compliments from our guests about the music was “they were all bangers!” Thank you Jason and everyone involved so much for making our wedding so memorable and one of the best days of our lives! Jason and his team were amazing to work with and I would highly recommend this team. Lee and his brother were our MC and DJ and they were an incredible team. The energy for the whole event was high because of the music and it was just the dance party that we had wanted! We had a bass and guitar for our ceremony, a jazz trio for cocktail hour, and then a DJ for the reception. This was perfect as we got a mix of live music with the ability to play all different types of music during the party. We had lots of compliments from the guests on the music and flow of the night. Lee went above and beyond by MCing a cultural ceremony we had planned and using our script to explain to everyone what was going on. They were attentive and checked in throughout the night on the flow. We found this team through our venue's preferred vendor list, and we would highly recommend this team!

Jason and his team was super helpful and kind in preparing for our wedding. We had to postpone our 2020 wedding to 2021 and Jason couldn't have been kinder or more flexible in making the transition easy for us. Lee and Val were great on the event day and we had the wedding we pictured all along. They were such a pleasure to work with. I wouldn't ever hesitate to recommend them to anybody!

We found Jason through a couple of friends’ recommendations and after seeing his team at several events, we knew we wanted to hire them for our wedding. The entire team was fantastic and listened to each and every one of our song requests—and played every single one! We also had the best of both worlds with Dj/live music, they were truly a one-stop-shop. We had a classical guitar and cello for the ceremony and a jazz trio for cocktail hour. Then for the reception we had the DJ with a percussion add-on, so there was someone playing the bongos along to the music. Everyone raved about the team and I could not have been happier with our decision! A no brainer to book them!

Lyons Entertainment was recommended to us by the venue where we were having our wedding and we couldn't be happier with our choice. No only was Jason easy to work with; our DJ Jaime was masterclass. The music at the wedding was amazing, there were no hiccups, and everyone especially the bride, had a wonderful time. Lyons Entertainment was recommended to us by a good friend, as he is friends with Jason, and had used Jason for his own wedding, along with several other family weddings. We originally wanted to go the route of “self djing” our wedding due to wanting to save money and knowing we didn’t want “just another wedding playlist.” So let me just follow that up with that going with Lyons was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. From the minute we began working with Jason, he was awesome. Even when our first phone call got derailed by unforeseen circumstances, Jason was quick to find extra time to talk to us. He provided detailed “paperwork” to help us organize all our songs and what we wanted to do in terms of speeches, timing, etc. It really made the whole process easy as there might have been something we would’ve not thought about if we did it on our own. We had our final call a little less than two weeks out to go over everything and even then we could tell it was going to be a good night. Jason was really excited about all of our selections, helpful in places where we needed some suggestions, and even went so far as to go over how to pronounce our entire wedding party for introductions – and there were 17 of them! And then the day of the wedding, words would not do justice for Jason and his DJ (we did the two man package of Emcee/DJ). Our dance floor was always packed! And even when it was time for the dinner buffet and everyone should have sat down, he’d play a song that would get one or two people out there again. We feel this is because he had really picked up on what to play through all of that “paperwork” we had done. It helped guide him to formulate a good batch of songs that would make all of our guests really just enjoy the night. It was definitely a party we didn’t want to end. Our wedding was almost a month ago and a friend just asked if we could have another one because she had so much fun. And we truly attribute that to Jason and his team for keeping things moving and playing to the crowd. It was such an amazing night, and if we ever need a DJ for anything in the future, we will definitely go through Lyons Entertainment.

Lyons Entertainment is a fantastic vendor to work with! Jason Lyons was incredibly helpful and patient with me throughout the entire planning process - from making great music recommendations (for both the ceremony & reception) to reviewing the details & timeline of the day. He answered every single question I had and that really put me at ease. For the wedding, Jason, MC Lee and DJ Val set the happy & celebratory tone for both the ceremony and reception with their music recommendations & selections. The music and flow was awesome! Our guests had such a wonderful time.

We absolutely LOVED working with Lyons Entertainment! We had our wedding reception at the Stone Mill at the New York Botanical Garden this past Saturday night. Lee was super friendly when we met as he was setting up for our reception -- the rain was coming down a bit and he looked right at me and said "this is going to pass" -- and it did! He had a really great vibe that carried on throughout the night. I was initially thinking I'd have to remember to do certain things for the "timeline" of our evening, but Lee took care of everything! He was so great about checking in with my husband and I about the entrances, speeches, cake cutting, etc. A couple of times we asked him what he thought would make the evening flow best and he gave really great suggestions. And most importantly -- I can't stop getting compliments about the MUSIC! I've had several friends ask me if there is a playlist they can steal! Once dinner ended I was still upstairs talking to the last few guests still in the dining room, I looked downstairs at the patio / dance floor and it looked like our ENTIRE wedding was out there dancing!! I was blown away!! The energy never lagged and everyone had such a blast. Lastly, working with Jason since we first started planning has been fun and a breeze! He is super friendly, always fun, professional, and shared in our excitement! He and his team really understood exactly what we were looking for. You will not be disappointed!

Jason Lyon was absolutely incredible and helped to make our wedding day so special. From the music selection, to the timeline, to the MCing he really did a fantastic job. We received SO many compliments from our guests about the music choices. Due to traffic we were running a bit behind schedule during the reception, and Jason helped us to feel calm and got us right back on track while maintaining a smile throughout. Jason made it so easy for us to enjoy ourselves, and it honestly was the best day of our lives. He was responsive from the first time that we spoke to him, and helped to guide us in selecting all of the perfect choices for music. We wanted to have an acoustic guitar during the cocktail hour and helped to secure a fantastic musician for us. I could not be happier that we chose Jason Lyons as our entertainment for our wedding and I really cannot recommend him enough!

Jason Lyons was unbelievable - better then we ever could have dreamed! We wanted to have an instrumental version of All of Me play as our processional and he secured such a talented keyboard player and violinist, everyone was in tears. Jason was our phenomenal DJ for the Reception and he had everyone on the dance floor all night. From Baby Boomers to Millenials he knows how to read the crowd and keep the party going. He was also such a pleasure to work with leading up to our wedding. We would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for any entertainment.

We were referred to Jason by our wedding venue (NY Botanical Garden) and after talking to him for the first time on the phone, we knew we had to book him and his services! He was incredibly thorough, friendly, and professional, and he helped us envision how the wedding day would go, which we had not a clear idea about since we didn’t have a wedding planner. He talked us through a lot of the details patiently for over an hour, and we were left completely reassured about the whole process. We booked the 2-person MC and DJ. About two weeks before the wedding, we talked on the phone again and nailed down all the details. He was also very responsive and easy to reach out to by phone and email when we changed a couple of minor details (like processional order, etc) here and there. Jason helped pick the perfect songs for the small details that my now-husband and I hadn’t thought about. The day of our wedding, Jason and his team made it so easy to have people on the dance floor. I never realized that my brother had some great dance moves! I also saw my mom in a dance-off with a friend which was a complete surprise. Moreover, I saw a lot of family members dance for the first time at our wedding after several other weddings I’ve attended with them. Our friends had a ton of fun and were sad to leave the dance floor at the end of reception. Thank you so much for making our wedding day special and filled with wonderful memories!

We recently worked with Lyons Entertainment (DJ Jay Leon) for our wedding at the New York Botanical Garden (3/3/2018). From start to finish, Jason Lyons was so helpful, accommodating to our requests and needs. In addition to providing DJ and MC services, Lyons Entertainment also provided the photo booth for our event and it was a hit with all guests! Our family and friends were incredibly impressed by Jason's professionalism and execution of a musically perfect evening. Lyons Entertainment provided music for our outdoor wedding ceremony, indoor cocktail hour, and indoor reception. He even offered appropriate and wonderful song suggestions for the ceremony, which were used. The sound quality, volume and tenor of the music struck a perfect chord throughout the event :) At the reception, Jason had every single guest on their feet and dancing. The song transitions were awesome and we could not have asked for more. My husband, a music buff, even had a long list of requested songs (varied genres), which Jason received well and integrated throughout the night. Lyons Entertainment was on the recommended List of Vendors from The NYBG. Having been to weddings that couldn't keep the guests dancing and even one where the music tripped the breakers 3 times, leaving no music for about 20 minutes, having the right DJ was extremely important to us. From the get go Jason Lyons exuded confidence in his staff, equipment, and familiarity with our venue which set us at ease. Working with Jason was awesome and easy. They set up remote speakers for our indoor/outdoor cocktail hour and ensured the music set the tone of the night. For dinner, dancing, and toasts or DJ and MC team Lee and Bruno were seamless in their transitions and had none of the cheesiness of a DJ trying to be the show. They let their choices in music truly show their talent in keeping the guests dancing and pulled some awesome throwbacks out of their pockets which allowed for everyone regardless of their generation to get up and dance. We had such an amazing time dancing with our friends and family. Planning with Lyons Entertainment was just one more decision that ensured we wouldn't have to worry when our day came.

This vendor provided the music to our wedding at the Stone Mill at the New York Botanical Garden on August 19th. The DJ was amazing and kept our guests dancing and happy the entire night. In advance of the event, the DJ met with us to get a sense of the guest list and tone of the event. It proved to be a successful strategy. Thank you for making our day extra special.

Lyons Entertainment provided outstanding entertainment for my guests. They were perfect emcees for the evening, and the playlist kept my guests on the dance floor all night long. I couldn't have been happier with their services!

My husband and I chose Lyons Entertainment DJs after a coworker and friend recommended them. Without question, it was the best choice we made for our wedding. For our wedding, we worked with the founder of the company, Jason. Over the course of our engagement, we met with Jason two times in person and once over the phone to talk about music we wanted to hear/music we didn't want to hear, the flow of the wedding and the feel of the evening. Firstly - Music Selection Working with Jason means working with someone who loves music and understands music for a wedding must appeal to all age ranges. We worked with Jason to create a music playlist for the wedding that included music for older folks at our wedding moving into modern tunes for everyone. More than anything, we wanted to make sure the music played had soul and feeling as opposed to just club beats. Jason's ability to use music to judge a crowd and get everyone and dancing is incredible. In addition to to supplying us with a "ten most wanted" songs and "ten least wanted" song list, Jason worked with us to create a Google Spreadsheet of music we loved/wanted to hear. This gave him a better idea of how we wanted the wedding to feel. With a great mix of slower songs (Sinatra) to a great mix of soulful songs and dance jams, Jason really knows how to throw a party. Secondly - Flow of the Evening We worked with Jason to establish a less traditional wedding flow. Instead of having full song first dance, we asked Jason to abbreviate the first dance/mom and son/father and daughter dance in favor of getting everyone on the dance floor to enjoy the night. Jason did such a good job of getting everyone up and dancing and more importantly, keeping everyone up and dancing. Jason has no problem working with the couple to make the wedding less cookie cutter and more tailored to your wants. Thirdly - Jason Outside of how great the music was and how great the flow of the night was, it must be said how sweet, kind, spirited and professional Jason is. Jason is a hell of a guy who exudes calmness, professionalism and fun. We couldn't have asked to work with a better guy. In all honesty, we couldn't have been happier to have worked with Jason. Great guy. Great DJ. We would recommend Lyons Entertainment DJs to anyone and everyone.

I got married on July 12, 2014. Jason Lyons and one other DJ came as a 2 person team. They did soft setups for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and did full DJ services and lighting for the reception. I spoke with Jason at least 2 to 3 times before the wedding when he asked detailed questions about our vision for the wedding, and what atmosphere we wanted. Jason and the other DJ absolutely nailed it! They understood my husband and my personality, and how we envisioned our wedding reception. He coordinated with the venue and the other vendors to ensure a flawless ceremony. He made my husband and I feel like we were VIP clients throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough about working with Lyons Entertainment on the business side and on the big day! Jason encouraged me to email or call any time leading up to the wedding. He is a vendor who truly understands that your wedding day will only happen once, and there is only one opportunity to make it perfect. One of my bridesmaids and two of our wedding guests have already booked Lyons Entertainment for their upcoming nuptials.

Jay Lyons was our DJ about 2 weeks ago and I knew the music was going to be great! After meeting with him I knew he understood what kind of music my husband and I wanted. Fortunately, he likes the same stuff! He kept all of our guests on the floor and the led lit up DJ Booth was awesome! Thanks Jay!
