In response to your disheartening review: “This planner would be great if you have no personal vision or ideas. She made my now husband I feel like we were wrong if we didn't want to do everything exactly her way.” As an event planner it is my job to offer suggestions throughout the process. This is one of the main reasons to hire an event planner- to utilize their expertise in their field of work. You incorporated many DIY details throughout your wedding and many times in DIY events I offer multiple suggestions in an effort to figure out what works best for the clients + also to ensure the best use of your budget. If there are specific details + ideas that appear to be done “my way” at your wedding – please let me know specifically as I assure you that the vision, décor, color scheme + vendors were all selected by you. I felt that myself + my team took your vision to life. It reflected all of your details, unique color scheme (brown, black, white + touches of yellow) + DIY projects. I was onsite all day – I actually arrived prior to both the bride + groom-- to be there to help assist them throughout the set up process as needed. If at any time throughout the day that you felt, I wasn’t representing your vision- I wish that you would’ve addressed it immediately. This is why I find the review so disheartening—I heard many times from your family + friends how lovely your event was. And how much it reflected the two of you. Come of the day of the event she kept sending guests to my best friend (from out of country) with any questions I am not sure what guests you’re referencing that I sent to Anne Marie throughout your event. I can’t recall sending anyone to her for any reason. She was absolutely delightful and she did help tremendously with your floral (DIY) setup, breakdown + other bridesmaid details. She was lovely. At the end of the event (after my team + I helped load up all your personal belongings- after also helping with complete venue breakdown – neither part of my contract) Anne Marie hugged my neck + thanked me for all that I had done- as did the both of you + your family members that remained. I returned the Thank You- as she was a fantastic bridesmaid and also friend to Noel. Unfortunately this was my biggest wedding expense regret. I am sorry that my services were your biggest expense regret. It is also unfortunate on my end as well- since I offered you a discount on my planning services while still including the facets of planning that you needed + requested – design + decor, layouts, vendor selection, etc. My team + myself also helped with venue set up + break down- these were services provided outside my contract- at no additional cost. If anything, I felt that we went over + beyond on the service level to ensure that your event ran smoothly. Many of your family + friends, along with the wedding vendors all commented on our service level + attention to detail. I wish you the best + hope you enjoy your future together. Sincerely, Amanda
