When my now husband and I started planning our wedding we went to a few wedding fairs and were so overwhelmed by all the options, costs, and details presented to us. We were on a tight budget and wanted to make wise decisions with our money. It was also important to us that we would have great memories of our day for years. We found all of this with M photography. She captured our wedding day in ways we never thought were possible. She has a wonderful gift for not only taking beautiful, artistic, and creative photos, but as the ability to make a bride and groom feel relaxed and uninhibited in order to create and capture authentic moments. Em put me at ease throughout my time with her with her humor, attention to detail and ability to be in control of situations and groups. We had a big wedding party and even bigger family groups that we wanted pictures of and Em was able to quickly organize each group while having fun and getting everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. She was totally in control the entire time and was so much fun allowing all of us to relax. That meant so much to my husband and I along with our parents. So many friends and family told us how impressed they were with Em as a person.. Once they saw her pictures they were blown away and so were we. We said and continue to say how glad we were the we had Em as our photographer. She allowed us to see parts if our wedding we never even knew happened because we were busy doing something else, but she was everywhere! It is so hard to find top notch, talented professionals when so many people are now taking photos. Em was affordable, professional, and very helpful and attentive leading up to and the day of the wedding. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to invest in a lifetime of wonderful memories!

Em did an excellent job photographing our daughter's bat mitzvah. She took family portraits and photographed the service, luncheon and dance party. The images from all four categories are beautiful and creative, and captured the essence of our daughter as well as the event. There are so many fabulous photographs it will be hard to choose which to print.

What can I say.... When we first contacted Em I knew we were to look no further. We met over a beer and we made a game plan for the big day. And let me tell you folks she showed up and had already done her homework finding beautiful spots around our wedding facility. She was so fun and caring to the point of total and utter satisfaction. Em was so beyond great to work with. Going into wedding planning, my husband and I talked about wanting a photographer who could capture the most amazing, important, and emotional moments without being too much a part of our moments and she did just that. Looking through the photos, I can see she was right there with us for the most important shots, but I never felt like she was intruding in our special times. She also really helped keep us happy throughout the day. We took family photos right after the ceremony and with our large families there were a lot of opinions and plenty of irritation. When it was time for the session with just the two of us, she helped us shake off the annoyance we were feeling from our large group shots, remain happy, and take in all the joy of the evening. We had a traditional Jewish wedding, and she was expert at anticipating and capturing all the traditional elements, so important to us. Em and Melanie are so fun, easygoing, and sweet to work with. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Em really made our wedding photography process so enjoyable. She was the right balance of creative while listening to our ideas. Em was fantastic to work with; it was a pleasure to have her and her assistant Emma as part of the wedding day. There was a lot of joy and love throughout the day and Em captured it beautifully. Being a photographer myself photos are very important to me. It was the first question after getting engaged most people asked. They thought I would have a difficult time selecting a photographer since I know several. But it was easy for me. I had seen Em's work and how she creates her work at other weddings. I had the privilege of meeting and working with Em as a bridesmaid in two different weddings almost five years ago. From the moment I met her, I was truly impressed with her. M photography took great photos at my sister's wedding. Somehow, she captured everyone looking at her with eyes open, in even the large group photos! And she worked quickly and was very organized so that we could get on to the fun. Also, I loved the creativity of the wedding party's "around-the-city" shots.

As a groom, I was a bit shell shocked at the prices of various components to a wedding. Of all things we spent money on, however, our photographer, Em, was without a doubt the best money we spent that day. After seeing Em's work (which is consistent with market prices), my wife and I couldn't be more pleased. Em has a true gift. She captured the emotion, intimacy and excitement of our wedding day (and engagement photo shoot) perfectly. She has a creative eye for making natural occurrences (a puddle, a fallen flower or leaf, the shapes of the clouds above the church, a tree she passed on the way to our church) seem as though they were put there just for our special day. The hardest part for us was narrowing down all of the photos for our album. Equally as important, Em is a gem to work with. She is easy going, yet gets the job done without adding stress to your day. We booked Em for our wedding and we were very lucky to have her with us on our day. She was very personable and worked with my special needs sister-in-law with endless patience and kindness. She also had many unique and fun poses for us to do that were different from other photographers. She was very flexible when I came up with some more photos I would like. My husband and I hired Em eight short years ago for our engagement and wedding photos and have been recommending her to every bride and groom we know ever since. M Photography's wedding photos took my breath away and after 6 years, people are still talking about them & I still feel the same way I did when I first saw them. I use them on anniversary cards, post them on Facebook, etc. & people are always blown away with M Photography's creative eye with the camera! I do a lot of photography myself and at times, I think I'm fairly decent but she far surpasses me & the word I would describe her work is what I named this review, AMAZING! She captured my daughter & her husband perfectly and I cherish the photos she took! At the time, I absolutely loved the pictures she took of my husband! They were incredible and last year, he passed away of cancer. I love looking at them now because they were taken at a time when he was disease free & happy. I used her photos for all of the things I needed to have for his celebration of life and I cannot thank her enough for them. This may seem like a "bogus" review, but believe me, it is not. I'm just a mother of a bride from 6 years ago that is over the top crazy about M Photography's work and Emily, herself. She made taking photos painless and caught many magnificent moments throughout the day & night that we didn't even know she was taking. It's been 4 years since our wedding weekend, and there is not a week that goes by that I don't think about that day. Sadly, but inevitably, as the years go on those memories become fuzzier and fuzzier. If someone has told you that your wedding photographer is probably the most important vendor/partner you find for your wedding day, it's TRUE. I'm thankful that we found M Photography. Em captured the most important moments in our wedding, and one's that I didn't even know were happening. To be honest, I didn't even know she was around. A slick little thing, she finds a way to capture love and light in the best possible way. When I look at her pictures, to this day I still get butterflies in my stomach and a it still brings a big smile to my face. A wedding is one of the few days in our life (except maybe your funeral!) when everyone that you hold dear in your heart is one place. Please don't leave your wedding photographer to chance. I'm so happy we had Em that day, and hope you get the opportunity to work with her, too.

We both said that when she got married M Photography had to do her wedding. A few years later when our daughter was engaged, Em took amazing engagement pictures. Em was an amazing photographer for our wedding. She was so easygoing and we all had a blast taking photos with her. She figured out the best spots ahead of time, took us there, and our photos turned out great. She worked with a large group, and handled all of the different personalities great! We used Em to take our first pictures as a family. Not only was she wonderful to work with (especially with my girls) but her eye for finding places to take pictures was amazing! M Photo was really fun to work with. My wife had some interesting ideas for our wedding photos, yet Em was able to listen to what she/we wanted and she created a variety of opportunities to capture our unique ideas. Em also added a lot of creativity when taking our photos, even a stranger off the street approached her during the shoot and asked for her business card! My husband and I had Em as our photographer not once but twice. We were originally planning a September wedding but when my husband received his deployment orders we had to move the date and make it happen fast. Em was so understanding and accommodating for us she did a wonderful job. After my husband came back from his deployment we wanted to renew out vows and have the church wedding that we had wanted from the beginning and there was no doubt that we wanted Em to capture the day for us again. We had our wedding in Antigua, on the beach. It was such a lovely day, everything was just perfect. Em and her assistants shot our wedding on New Year's Eve in Chicago and she completely blew away all of our expectations! We knew we would love our photos and her work, but we could not have expected to be left speechless at how incredible they turned out! M Photography is the best! Em did a fabulous job capturing my sister's double wedding. Depsite the Dust Bowl and 110 degree heat in Milwaukee this summer, Em was able to find my sister & brother in law in her lens flawlessly. She worked really well with the creative vision of the bride & groom and honestly made the day extra special for my family. I loved how she is able to capture the emotions/feelings of the day in her photography, too. My twin was the most beautiful I've even seen her on her wedding day and M photography made every photograph of her 'the best' which made it fun to sort through her gallery of photos. The second wedding (reception) was Up North, and M photography was equally polished and breathtaking. The bride & groom lucked out with peak fall colors and in route to the photo shoot, M photography scoped out some 'hidden' hot spots and created a beautiful backdrop for more gorgeous photos to chose from. Em makes sure you look your best, your body is posisitioned correctly and of course, you're getting the best light. She's amazing and I'd recommend her in a heart beat.
