PLAYED NONE OF THE SONGS ON OUR PLAYLIST. We booked him for our wedding this month. A total mistake. I was somewhat skeptical about the lower reviews prior to booking but I decided...
to still give him a chance because he worked within our budget. We are carribean but also love modern r&b & hiphop. We noticed a few issues weeks before the wedding but couldn’t opt out the contract.
1. He was not very responsive via text message. We had to constantly send 2-3 messages for him to respond or call him to discuss the details leading up to the wedding.
2. He bustled so hard to book you because they get charged for a lead on thumbtack , yet never asked us about our vision, what we want anything . Just to send over our playlist.
3. Our wedding was 25-40 year olds , he consistently played old songs that no one knew. He played only 3 Carribean songs.
4. Half our wedding was leaving, we asked him multiple times if he can change the music to accommodate our guests.
5. He took random awkward song requests without checking in with the bride and groom first.
6. Per the initial conversation/ preliminary meeting he stated that he will be the DJ & THE M.C.
He did not say a word. Not anything to get the guests up and on their feet, nothing.
It’s infuriating to be the bride and the groom and have your guests continually come to you about “what is the DJ playing”?
The service given was definitely not worth the $1,000 we paid!
