Based in Portland, Oregon, Mac Wedding Films is a documentary-style wedding videography studio led by director Cody McDonald. Since 2016, the studio has produced more than 300 cinematic wedding, elopement, and event films.
Mac Wedding Films was named Best Videographer in the 2026 PNW Weddings Magazine Excellence Awards. The studio documents authentic moments as they unfold naturally, finding the magic in small details that might otherwise fade with time. The goal is a film couples still want to watch a decade after the day itself.
Every booking includes full-day coverage with no hourly limits, a second shooter, drone footage, and travel. Couples can choose a 5-8 minute highlight film, a 15-20 minute web documentary, or a 60-minute feature documentary, with companion films available for ceremonies, speeches, and complete event collections. Locations served include Portland, Bend, and Hood River, along with destinations across Washington, Idaho, Montana, California, and New York. Films are delivered via digital download and USB hard drive.

Our films are genuine, personal, and ultimately tailored to our clients as individuals. Our (very, very rad) clients trust us with something incredibly personal, and it's my mission to know them well, capture them authentically, and tell their stories in a way that resonates deeply and genuinely. When I started filming weddings in 2014, I carried over a very accounting-influenced methodology of "Control the controllable, and the rest is for rolling with."
