Macarty House

Where to begin! This wedding venue is incredible. Planning our wedding from Oregon we chose Macarty House sight unseen and I am so glad that we did. The pictures don't do it justice. The space is so unique and beautiful and completely transforms for events, with the expert help of Daniel and Lauren. Lauren also took care of the bar for us and did an awesome job, creating delicious craft cocktails and getting all of the wine/beer that we love. Also, the bartenders that she hired were awesome. They were so much fun and created such a great atmosphere for our guests. We had so much fun at our wedding and the icing on the cake was being able to roll out of bed the day after and host a pool party brunch. I could write a whole separate review of staying at the house. Its a really cool, funky, quirky place and was perfect for us. Both of our families stayed onsite for the weekend plus a few days which allowed for us to maximize the time we spent together. It also gave us opportunities to sit and chat with Daniel and Lauren, who are wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer.

This is the best place in NOLA to get married. Lauren and Daniel are the best and so accommodating! You will have your perfect wedding here. Everyone loved this place!

I am so grateful we chose to have our wedding ceremony & reception at Maison de Macarty. We could not have asked for a better experience! The site itself is fun and functional to have as a wedding “hub” for the whole wedding weekend. Renting out the entire B&B was great because our family and friends came and enjoyed time with us there throughout the whole weekend. For the wedding itself, the site is very versatile and offers brides/grooms/families a variety of options of how they want to set things up and plan events. Also, the new owners, Lauren and Daniel are absolutely terrific! We were their first wedding at the B&B and they were extremely accommodating and helpful throughout every step of the way. (We were in frequent contact the months/weeks leading up to the wedding, and they were always patient with all of our questions!) They were also extremely generous with their time and energy the entire weekend of our wedding. They were available for anything we needed. And, Lauren is an excellent chef, so it was great to enjoy her treats throughout the weekend!

We LOVED Maison de Macarty. For what you get it's a great price: beautiful venue, full use of the bnb for the weekend, in the best neighborhood. We were able to fill the bnb with our closest friends, we loved Curtis's breakfasts every morning, chatting with him and Kurt, etc. They're calm, flexible, great New Orleans chill, yet really hard working. They went above and beyond to ensure everything went off without a hitch; just what you need for a happy wedding weekend. And it really did save us a lot of money having access to the property the whole weekend (plus we LOVED the morning after wedding chilling by the pool). Can't recommend it enough!
