A few little things that weren’t expected that we were disappointed about. I think maybe Jack and team might have had a bit too much on their plates this summer and we were a pretty small wedding:
I was promised Alison would be with me all day to help me, make sure I ate etc, but I’m not sure why that didn’t happen. I did end up a bit stressed and starving, couldn’t find our taxi to the ceremony. Small potatoes I suppose, but worth noting.
There was a little confusion with our tux rental, tie color was wrong. Jack and team did make all of the fitting issues right, but it took up a good hour of the day. I was bummed about our cake for what it cost . It looked more like a birthday cake, nothing like my Pinterest posts. (Not the end of the world to me, but maybe to some brides, so again worth noting .)
We did do most of the heavy lifting as far as planning. We had many great calls with Jack, but in the end we had to work directly with our vendors on all of the details. I found it a little frustrating being so far away.
In the case of a destination wedding, there were no disasters and we will always remember our day as the best ever! Jack will always be dear to us and I would recommend him if you are ok with doing more planning yourself and just needing day of execution, which he excelled at.

nd promised us a stress free plan and stated he knew and had all the perks on Mackinac Island. He was aware of our requests, budget and details we wanted. Once Jack received our money its been awful, stressful and extremely disappointing. We have been calling him, texting him and emailing him and he does not respond. He doubled book us with two very expensive hotel rooms without informing us. This is suppose to be our elopement and honeymoon and he was not even able to get us a wedding/romance package/room. He exceeded our budget by double without any of the details. His lack of respect and response to us is very disheartening.

They worked magic on the wedding day. Our day flowed very smoothly and Jack really was a true "Jack of all trades.” I could tell from very early on that Jack was extremely knowledgeable about the island and would be an asset to have when planning our wedding there. I couldn’t have imagined our day or even our weekend going even remotely as smooth as it did without his team by our side. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding to even the day after taking care of getting my dress cleaned and sent to my home. Forever thankful and now lucky enough to call him a friend. ng coordinator but after meeting with Jack, we instantly knew he would ensure our day was amazing! Since Jack lives on the Island, he was extremely familiar with all the vendors and venues and it took all the stress out of planning a destination wedding. The day before we met with Jack and went through every detail of the day. He called our vendors to make sure everyone was ready to go. He also attended our rehearsal so the ceremony would go smoothly. I did not realize how relaxed I could feel the day before the wedding. Jack was there the ENTIRE day of the wedding. He was ready to take care of anything we needed whether it rained and we needed umbrellas, a cold front and we needed coats, and emergency kit with breath mints, advil etc. He helped the groomsmen get dressed (which they needed) and made sure everyone was where they needed to be and on time. He even took the extra step to ensure our parents had everything they needed so they were relaxed. He checked the reception venue to make sure it was set up, kept us on our time line and took our belonging back to the room at the end of the night. Jack did it all, and he did it with a smile on his face!!! Our wedding day could not have gone any smoother and because of Jack's help no one had to worry and had an amazing time! We received so many compliments on happy and relaxed were both were all day and I told everyone it was because of Jack. The ability to truly relax and enjoy every moment of our day without a worry was simply priceless!!!

g distance but after we met Jack, our concerns were put to ease. Jack is a very hands-on guy, personable and resembles Richard Gere and Dustin Hoffman put together. We were very impressed by Jack and Allison’s means of transporting. The catered food and equipment was in a cart that was attached to their bikes that they pedaled themselves. Jack recommended that we reserve a tent just in case of inclement weather, and we were so glad that we did, because it poured the night we had our welcome dinner. Jack served us 3 delicious meals: a welcome dinner with plenty of grilled chicken, baked beans, potato salad and cole slaw, a rehearsal dinner with sirloin kabobs, chicken kabobs, pineapple shrimp kabobs and vegetable kabobs and wild rice medley and a spa day lunch at 7th Heaven, with finger sandwiches, fruit skewers and chocolate covered strawberries for our mimosas. All the food was excellent and even better yet, we didn’t have to do a thing because he took care of setting up everything. He runs a top notch operation and gets 5 stars for his personality and attention to detail as well as 5 stars for his food preparation.
