Had the absolute best experience working with the staff at Mac-O-Chee. They were so kind, organized and communicative from start to finish. Not to mention the venue is INCREDIBLE and our guests loved it. It was apparent that the staff wants to serve you to make sure your big day is everything you dreamed of. Also to note, it is obvious they did their research before becoming a venue - everything is well thought out and high quality.

I could not possibly have enough joyful things to say about Mac-o-Chee! As a wedding venue, they had easy seating arrangement systems, spots for nursing mothers, day of coordinator assistance, and consistent support and communication throughout the wedding process. As new friends, however, they were a faith-filled, welcoming environment that made the process seamless! The venue was absolutely breathtaking. Moody, historic, romantic, lush, and accommodating... no question was too tedious or complicated, and our wedding was the most joyful, Christ-filled, peaceful day of our entire lives. The greatest wedding call we could have made (besides marrying each other!) had to be having our special day at Mac-o-Chee :)

Nestled among picturesque rural Ohio landscapes, this historic property is home to stunning settings for wedding celebrations. Journalist, politician, and diplomat Donn Piatt had Mac-O-Chee Castle built for his wife, Louise, in 1881, designed to be a grand residence for the family. The impressive building was constructed in the Victorian Gothic Revival style, with pointed arches, turrets, and ornate details throughout. In 2019, the Cole family purchased the property to preserve its rich history and offer it as a truly unique space for your special day. On your wedding morning, you and your beloved can prepare for the day in the comfortable, spacious wedding suites on-site. For your ceremony, tie the knot outdoors, with the pristine grounds and lush greenery as your backdrop. The Great Hall is an unforgettable reception space, complete with soaring ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and windows that flood the room with natural light. Glass doors open onto the Outdoor Courtyard, boasting water features, views of the castle, and a covered pavilion with a state-of-the-art sound system. You're welcome to use either or both spaces for your wedding celebration, with room for up to 300 guests to dine and dance the night away. The Great Hall has a catering kitchen for your outside caterers, as well as a full-service bar. nging floor plans while we were planning and making sure any and all questions were answered in a timely manner. I appreciated them letting us come up to the castle with my wedding planner for an additional in person meeting to tour and figure out where all the things for the wedding would go.

ve our wedding an hour away because we were so impressed. I am a photographer and fell in love with the venue at a styled shoot hosted by a photographer local to the area last October- When my husband and I decided we were going to actually have a wedding, I pushed for this beautiful and unique place. On the first visit where I took my husband, we were very impressed with the attention to detail that the owners had put into the castle, courtyard, and reception hall. Everything has been preserved but has some modern touches for convenience. They were so communicative throughout the whole process. We had SO many questions along the way and they took the time and care to answer every single question we had, even if we probably asked them more than once lol. They took the time to discuss all of our day of details and were super flexible as well. They truly wanted us to have the most perfect day and we can say that we did. We got so many compliments on the venue and how beautiful the event was. Thank you Mac-O-Chee!!!
