I know the cake was made fresh because Anne contacted me two days before the wedding to confirm our flavor selections and designs. The delivery to our French Quarter venue was seamless and exactly on time. I will say that the cake tasting was not as impressive as the end result because the flavors were deconstructed at the tasting, so we almost didn't go with Mad Batter, but I'm so glad we did. They worked with our pencil sketch ideas and made it into two epic wedding cakes that were EXACTLY what we wanted.

Everything was spot on and they had no problem handling our larger order or delivery which was over an hour from their base shop. a raspberry puree' which is what was in your contract and you confirmed you wanted. The almond cake was baked fresh for your cake and we are sorry you did not care for the flavor, but as you were not able to come in for a cake tasting we made a suggestion for the almond cake based on the popularity of our almond cake. However, we understand if you are not a fan of almond cake. When going over the design of your cake you requested that we include the colors burgundy, sage green, mauve, slate blue and navy blue on your white base colored cake. The design was also included in your contract which you approved. I do understand that you may not have visualized the final look of the colors on the cake. When you came to pick up your 2 tier cake you expressed your dislike of the colors on the cake so we then redid your cake to the new specifications while you stayed at our shop so that we could get your approval. The front end personnel knew exactly what to do when you arrived at the bakery to pick up your cake and you were displeased with the design that you choose, they called both the head decorator as well as the manager to report the problem and have it altered to your new specifications.

nce. My venue was 47 mins away from their location. They neglected to put my custom $100 cake topper on my cake and despite them only being 47 mins away did not go back to get it and ensure I had it. I will never have a wedding photo with my cake topper on it. She never called to apologize she only communicated via email and only offered the return of my travel fee OR another cake. I believe the disappointment and lack of communication was worth both. The cakes were beautiful but I personally considered that a massive mistake. Afterwards I had to wait to hear from her to get my cake topper back. I live out of town and had an out of town wedding with PLENTY of vendors to choose from and still decided to support local during a pandemic. It was thoughtless, careless, and unforgivable service.

Mad Batter was probably THE most accommodating vender out of all of my vendors! They kept telling me they would make it work regardless of the rescheduled day. Meant so much to us! Then of course when our big day arrived, the cheesecake was beyond perfect. It was beautiful and tasted even better than it looked! We are already looking forward to eating the top piece for our 1 year anniversary. There were sooo many different possibilities from cake choice, sauces, and fillings. The staff were all helpful when I called and asked for something and they were readily available via email. Everything was easy and it was one less thing off my check list after I chose the cake. The day of, oh my gosh..... I can’t even begin to tell you how beautiful my cake was. My husband and I bonded over a phone game and it was important to us to incorporate that into our wedding, but at the same time making sure the cake wasn’t kiddish. my husband and I were married July 13. yep, right in the middle of Hurricane Berry (thankfully was not bad). i was panicking on the Weds before our wedding and was advised to call all of our vendors to make sure they were still going to make it...
for our wedding. i called Mad Batter Bakery to check on my cake. I was instantly told that that is something I should not be steessing about. that one way or another. my cake would be at my venue at 4. Their customer service was so amazing to me during that stressful time. they showed up on time to meet us for setup up with no issues. Our cake was gorgeous! we got compliments all night about how delicious it was. i will recommend this bakery over and over. even more so because they were so sweet and helped alleviate the anxiety of a bride planning a wedding during a tropical storm.
