es I may have asked for. My hair lasted the day, the night, & into the next afternoon :). My makeup was perfect as I had asked for it to be "caked on," but it really did not look "too" overdone. It was just right. Thumbs up to my hair & makeup artists. They delivered!!

entire reception! Their hair stylists and makeup artists were great at listening and understanding the look I wanted for the day. The salon is so comfortable and spacious, and my bridesmaids and I were even able to play our own music while we were waiting for everyone to finish. My bridesmaids and I are still getting so many compliments on our hair and makeup from my wedding!

The main makeup artist is not at their location because she's one that goes to the brides location, so the girl who did my makeup was not experienced therefore didn't do a good makeup job nor the hair dresser yet they charged me full price on both makeup and hair. I will never give them my business again, they are unorganized, unprofessional and the ladies at their location don't do a good job.

ial i made sure to verify multiple times: *time of booking *week before *morning of wedding unfortunately not only was my make up artist almost an hour late the day of, it wasn’t even the same artist. It wouldn’t have been too much of a problem except the makeup was bad! I’m of darker skin tone and was completely “washed out”. My face was obviously lighter than the rest of my body. I WISH I could post a picture of how bad it was. A professional should be able to match your tone better. Because of the fact that the original artist wasn't there without notice, my original run through looked nothing like the final, including the eyeshadow Color and i lost time which is money. The time that went into re-doing my make up cut into photography time with my bridal party to practically none. This was time lost that I paid to the photographer and venue for our wedding. **Edit: I’m giving 3 stars bc my MOH and moms make up came out good and all of our hair stayed up and curled on such a rainy day**

ut Beth made it work beautifully and was able to incorporate some floral pins she wanted to add last minute. For my hair, I had a new headpiece since my trial run that I wanted to add and was concerned it wouldn't work out. After some tweaking beforehand Beth got to use my headpiece and not only did the style come out beautifully but my long half up half down curls stayed the ENTIRE NIGHT!! Beth made the entire experience great and I highly recommend requesting her from Madame hair and makeup for any formal event you have coming up. Thank you Beth!!

staff was always very friendly and polite. The day of they arrived early and were did my four bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, and my hair and makeup done incredibly fast! They all came out really good! I was very happy with the service and will be a return customer for sure!

ng day. They asked me and the girls a few short questions to assess style and preferences and got right to work. They adhered to the timeline we had provided them - arrived on time and finished in time. I also liked that they were friendly and chatty, but didn’t feel the need to place the center of attention on the process. They allowed me and my bridesmaids to continue doing what we needed to do. Not only was their final makeup and hair work just flawless (i.e. photographed beautifully, lasted ALL day, enhanced my natural features), but they also happily made tweaks once they were finished to ensure that the final work was to everyone’s liking. One of the first things my fiance said after the first look was complimenting how beautiful and natural my makeup looked and how gorgeous my eyes looked. Throughout the wedding, guests continually complimented my and my bridesmaid’s makeup. I did a lot of research on makeup in the San Antonio area and their prices were very reasonable and easy to find on their website (plus they didn’t have any hidden fees). My expectations were surpassed in every single way and I honestly felt radiant for this special day. Thank you for being incredible!

pictures to file for your big day. I have no complaints about the service, all the ladies are polite and informative, and treated my mother and I with respect & courtesy. I loved how my hair and makeup turned out for my wedding and it held up! Esp in this summer heat! My hair was done by Beth and makeup by Bobbie. I love their work and would recommend them. BUT.....not without saying the- CONS: On my wedding day, I was told and assured I would have the makeup artists work for us between the hours of 12-4pm. However, both makeup artists were pressed for time to have to be somewhere by 3pm. I wish I would have been told ahead of time that they would not be able to stay and work for us in the time expected instead of telling us right when we got to the venue. I could've investigated another place that would have had that full availability. I did inform the salon we had 6 ladies getting their makeup done and ultimately it only turned out to just be 5. Point being, I felt very let down because I felt like that time should have been reserved for us. I can understand leaving right at 4, but when I saw them start to pack up at 2:45pm and say "sorry, we have another make up session..." you just feel this sense of you're on you're own to figure out because we (MM) need to be somewhere else. I almost cried. My mother was almost missed because of THEIR time conflict. Thank you Genieva for staying to do her makeup. My mother is 72 years old and not that it matters to Madame Makeup or to anyone else, but it mattered to her & it mattered to me that she also felt special on the wedding day as mother of the bride. She arrived and waited patiently for all the other girls, that there was no way MM could just leave us hanging. I was infuriated with that lack of regard for us seeing that the time was ONLY 3PM. Getting makeup done isn't free, we were happy to pay for each girl, we were not looking for a freebee, so why cheat the client of the time they're expecting to have your staff.?. oh well.

up against the heat and sweat. I was told the makeup will stay put for 18 hours, just to have lipstick . Unfortunately, before we ever even made it to the ceremony (right downstairs), let alone outside, I was having to get black from underneath and on top of the eyes of 3 of my girls. For a total of about $550 for hair, $355 for makeup, plus me having to pay for parking, I just don't think it was worth it.

l better about my wedding day. I was thankful I took pictures because upon getting my make-up done at my wedding the artist said, "Did I do your trial?" I immediately pulled out my pictures we had done the day of the trial to show her. Overall, the service from our hair and make-up artist was good. I felt amazing on my wedding day but the prices were a bit steep.

did not do my trial run, so I did not really know what to expect upon meeting them. But, Jennifer and Patricia did fantastic! Patricia gave my girls makeup looks they all loved, and Jennifer did a beautiful job on everyone’s hair. Beth (she did do my trial run) showed up towards the end to do my hair. She did exactly what I wanted and I loved it. Jennifer did my makeup, and it was so natural and beautiful. All of the artists were very sweet, professional, and just a pleasure to be around. I do wish I was able to meet Patricia and Jennifer beforehand or known that they were the artists coming to do our looks, that would have saved a bit of my initial worry. But, I would recommend Madame Make-up & Hair to anyone wanting to look like a better version of themselves on their big day!

so when I sat down I began explaining the whole look I was hoping for. The hair girl interupted me and very brusquely informed me that she was not doing my makeup so she didn't need to know what I wanted. She then curled my hair (putting hardly any product on it to hold) and after 30 minutes said she was done. It looked like a very poorly done prom hairstyle. The bobby pins were showing everywhere, there was no elegance to it. When I asked if there was a way she could cover the bobby pins (I have multiple stylists in my family; I know its absolutely possible) she sighed and told me my hair was really too short (it is about five inches longer than shoulder length. Every time I asked her to tweak something, or what product she was using she sighed and acted annoyed. This is my WEDDING DAY HAIR. The makeup artist did a decent job, and answered the questions I had with the same manner; annoyed. She used drugstore mascara with the same wand that she has probably used on every other girl. I had said I really wanted my eyes to pop and after one swipe of the cheapie mascara she was done. Bobby pins were already falling out of my head before I walked out, and three hours later there was not a trace of makeup and my hair had completely fallen; so there is no way it would stay through a full day of wedding events. This was such a disappointment, and the money charged for the trial was a total waste. My hair and makeup stay better when I do it myself.

They didn't keep photos of what my hair looked like for my bridal portraits, so the hair dresser for my wedding day had a different photo from my first hair trial when she arrived. Thankfully, I had printed photos from my bridal session. They are very busy, which I understand since they're in high demand. Check out www.starandtate.com to see their amazing work. I got so many compliments on my makeup, I'll probably try to get Donoma to do my makeup for any professional photos we get done in the future :-)

Our make up artist was one time, but one hair dresser was 30 minutes late and the other close to an hour. When she arrived she spoke only of the accident on her way, which was not really the conversation we wanted to have the day of my wedding while we are trying to have fun, relax and enjoy ourselves. On top of this, I paid up front for the services that I planned to purchase for my party when one of the grandmothers had to cancel I was still charged for her services of hair and make up. My advise would be to not pay up front and only pay at the time for what you have done the day of. Again good outcomes, but cause a little more stress that I needed on my wedding day.

It was very disappointing not to have the same people that were promised and to have one of them show up late. My makeup still turned out pretty and so did the bridesmaid's make up, but I did not like my hair, it was not as I had requested. Plus, she slightly burned my hair extensions and I was not able to use them after all. Because of the hair incident, we were an hour behind on pictures. When it was time to pay, the girls said they only accept cash (I was previously assured that we can pay with a credit card). We had to have other people go to the bank for us just to get cash and pay them. My wedding coordinator contacted the owner of Madame Make up and Hair and I was able to get a full refund and an apology letter. I am glad they did the right thing in the end but this is not something a bride should be dealing with on the day of her wedding.

they weren't able to come. Totally didn't matter; the girls that came did an awesome job as well! No matter who does your hair and make-up, it will look great! I've had several people do my make-up, and they do the best job (both times I've used them)! Most important they spray stuff on your face to make it stay all day and night long. I thought that this was standard, but apparently it isn't. Two employees did 9 girls' hair and 9 girls' make-up in about 4 hours! That was even with 2 girls deciding that they wanted to put their hair up instead of down midway through.

y the end and our makeup lasted the entire wedding and after party too! :) My makeup was natural looking and to my surprise did not have any adverse effects on my sensitive skin. The makeup used was specific for photos, which only added to the beauty of it all. The great thing about the makeup is that it is finished with a spray/mist which “sets” the make-up in place so no need to worry about the tears! Madame Make-up and Hair went above and beyond my expectations for my hair and make-up. They worked with me from the initial consult (I tried 3 styles before picking!) and every time I went back in I got the exact same look as the time before. I definitely recommend them if you are looking to have professional results that can be as natural or complex as you want them to be.

xis and Elizabeth touched me up between the ceremony and reception and were able to pull off a rather dramatic change in 15 minutes! I am so happy that the team was with us throughout the weekend(even though they can be pricey) and I will absolutely recommend them to my engaged friends.

by email. She did a consultation for both make-up and hair, and the results were far beyond my expectations. She took several photos from every angle of both my make-up and my hair and made notes on a form stapled to the contract I signed. On the day of my wedding, however, I was met by a different stylist (I had warned that while Elizabeth herself might not be present the day of my event, any staff member would be able to recreate the look I had chosen in the consultation). Alexis (the new stylist) flippantly informed me that she "couldn't really find my photos. They're, like, totally lost. I have no idea what happened to them." I carefully described to her what I wanted done to my hair, even mentioned that my style had been based off of one of the photos that had previously hung on the wall. Alexis shrugged and said she didn't know which photo I was talking about, but since Elizabeth copied all of her styles anyway, she would be able to do exactly what I wanted. The entire time she worked on my hair, Alexis complained about other staff members of the salon about the fact that she'd had to come in on her day off. She made me feel as though my hairstyle was a burden to her, and that it was my problem if I was upset that my consultation file had been lost. It took 3 rounds of her putting up my hair and my re-explaining what I wanted before I finally gave up and thought, "Well, this isn't at all what I wanted, but it's better than a ponytail, and I want out of here!" Bobbie did my make-up, and she was the life-saver of the day. She was very calming, and did a fabulous job on my make-up, listening very carefully to what I wanted done. She explained everything she was doing patiently, and gave me a brush of extra lipstick for touch-ups later. Bottom line: If I had only dealt with Elizabeth and Bobbie, I would have given this vendor 5 stars all around. Sadly, one person's poor attitude and service ruined the entire experience for me. However, I believe that the shop could redeem itself. If you go to Madame Make-up and Hair, take your own camera and notebook and ask the stylist to take both their own photos and notes and to MAKE YOU COPIES.

helped me stay relaxed. We all brought pictures of styles that we wanted. They also had a portfolio of their work so we could choose from it as well. I am VERY picky with my hair because it's curly and people never know what to do with it. They did an up do with my natural curls and it looked amazing. The makeup was flawless! It stayed on all night. It was just glamorous enough for a wedding, but still natural so I didn't look like a clown. Perfect!

I was even able to book my mother in law to be and sister for appointments which they were both extremely happy with. I think we all felt like princesses that day! I was so happy I broke down and stopped being cheap because my other and sister and mom went with our normal stylist and ended up redoing their hair. I love my stylist for cuts but it just goes to show that you need someone more experienced with hair and make up for your wedding. I am extremely happy with the results. Outside of reapplying my gloss my make up held up from 8 a.m. til midnight!

consultation and she didn't even blink an eye. She nailed exactly what I wanted! My make up looks perfect in pictures. Was not cakey or gross. I had false eyelashes which stayed on for two days after the wedding!! The make up sealant was perfect and held up even as I bawled down the aisle! I would definitely recommend them 100%!!!!

ke-up artist was great & wrote down all the colors we used but then she wasn't my artist for the wedding day and that artist didn't use the same brand of make-up. My make-up was caked on and my nose was red a few hours into the event. My trial hair stylist was great and I loved what she did. My actual wedding day stylist tried to simulate the pictures, but it was flat a couple hours later. She used a different product to hold the hair that didn't work as well as the trial stylist's. My bridesmaids up-do's were coming down within an hour of being done.

and to this day, people rave about it when they see pictures of me.
