I cannot speak about this business as a dry cleaners but if you are a bride DO NOT GO!!!!! I bought my Berta gown from the Soho location and they highly recommended Madame Paulette which honestly I do not know why. This was by far the worst experience of my life as a bride.
The business is currently being renovated so they are working out of another location called Next Day Cleaners. They did not make me aware of this when I made my appointment which was fine, until I went to the place. June 7 was the hottest day of the year and most humid, close to 90 degrees. They had no AC and the floor was disgusting, that day it rained so imagine people walking in to drop off their dry cleaners and the floor just being gross. Again, they did not tell me over the phone they had no AC. Then you trying on your expensive gown in the hot humid heat while people drop off their dry cleaners. Now I have no seamstress and the ones that I found do not have an available appointment until 2 weeks from now and my wedding is 33 days away.
Based on the reviews about their actual work, I would say your experience would be one you regret. If there quality is based on their professionalism, appearance and other bride reviews, I would say you would walk out of their dry cleaners wearing a rag on your wedding day.
Save yourself the trip and do your research before you go to Madame Paulette.
Madame Paulette was recommended by the Bridal Shop. Lena my seamstress was so kind, her attention to detail was impressive. She made me feel comfortable and I trusted her expertise. She was even able to sew the bodysuit into the dress at the last minute. The dress fit so well & received so many compliments.
STAY AWAY!!! My daughter had the most horrific experience with this organization. We made the mistake of following the recommendation from the bridal salon where we bought her dress and the manufacturer. We were duped. The incompetence, rudeness and unresponsiveness of this company was staggering. Her dress was practically mutilated by the so-called “tailor”. When he took out a green sharpie (yes, a green SHARPIE) and started marking her dress, I said enough. We took her dress and ran. My advice: read ALL the reviews from actual brides on multiple sites and don’t trust the bridal shops. Fortunately we found a seamstress who has taken pity on us and fingers crossed, the dress will be repaired and finished in time for the wedding- less than a month away.
Choosing Madame Paulette for my Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding clothing alteration was one of the best decisions I ever made!
I had a pretty simple jumpsuit for my Rehearsal Dinner - but was very concerned about my full-beaded wedding gown being altered properly. Additionally, I found out that I was pregnant a few months before my first fitting with Gladys. She was spectacular. She scheduled additional fittings for me to be sure that we wouldn't have a surprise at the end. The gown fit beautifully even though I was 5 months along by the time we finished and it was time to get married. You could barely even tell! Working with Madame Paulette is worth every penny to make sure you look terrific on your big day!
brought my dress here for a large alteration job they not only perfectly altered the dress but helped add some beautiful accessories. Christine at the front desk and Teresa the seamstress are truly amazing.
The tailor at Madame Paulette ruined a portion of my wedding gown despite five fittings, and I was able to get no apology or price reduction (AND it's just about as expensive as you can get). My gown was originally very well-cut, yet seams were puckered when they finished, and it looked poor in all my photos. I believe they put their worst tailors on bridal, so BEWARE. Christine and Customer Service was so-so, and I usually had to wait 15 minutes despite making appointments.
Madame Paulette made my someone trashed dress look like new. THANKS!
