Where do we even start with Maddy! She is so fantastic, as a human and as a photographer. From our first phone conversation when we were considering photographers for our May 2024 wedding, we knew that she would be a great fit for our style, our personalities, and what we were looking for in terms of a connection and comfort with our photographer. We saw this come to life during our engagement shoot and we were so happy with how that gallery came out, capturing our joy and our true selves in beautiful, bright, and fresh photos. Working with her on all the coordinating in between was a joy and so easy, given her responsiveness and expertise on the wedding industry in the DC area -- she even offered great vendor recommendations and sent us to our florist and honeymoon travel agent! On the day-of, she and her assistant Bridgette captured every moment so beautifully and thoughtfully, including all the small special details she had asked us about to ensure that we got everything we were looking for. They made us feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful, and I can’t wait to plaster their gorgeous photos all over our home and the Internet for years to come. Our wedding wasn’t even that long ago and we haven’t even received our full gallery from Maddy yet, but I am able to write this full-throated recommendation of her given how thrilled we are with everything from the process of working with her to engagement shoot to our wedding sneak peeks (which is more like 100 or so photos that we received within days!). I’ll miss talking to Maddy all the time and you should absolutely hire her!

More than half of the wedding day is spent with one person by your side at all times, your photographer. Maddy’s calm but enthusiastic energy, as well as her constant advice and support made the entire day feel under control and easy. Her talent with the camera is complimented by her clear and constant direction for poses and actions that created the best shots possible. She is easy to be around and helped us both feel comfortable in front of the camera. She worked with us to create the perfect photo album and has given us an incredible gallery to look back on forever. Pro tip: Maddy suggests a session together in the run up to the wedding and we recommend you take it. It helped build a good relationship in advance and get comfortable in front of the camera so we didn’t need to worry about it on the wedding day.

Before my first chat with Maddy, I had seen examples of her photos and loved how vibrant and dynamic her work was. Then, from the moment I first spoke with her on the phone, I knew she was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer. She is extremely professional and organized, while also being so personable - taking the time to really get to know us, our wedding details, and our photo preferences. Maddy is super responsive and helpful in her communications. Throughout the wedding planning process, she was incredible in helping us select engagement photo locations, making us feel comfortable taking our engagement photos in preparation for the wedding, planning out the wedding timeline and where photos fit into that, and more. As two people who have never taken professional photos together before, she really put us at ease and made everything feel super natural - and it showed through our genuine happiness in each photo. We're so glad we found Maddy. She captured so many wonderful photos of us on such an important day (and did I mention that she sent sneak peaks within DAYS which was amazing!). Even after the wedding, she drafted an incredible photo album and worked with us to get exactly the photos and layouts we wanted (though, admittedly, her draft was so great that little change was needed). Our friends and family loved her too and were impressed with how she's able to turn out high-quality work so quickly! We could not recommend Maddy more highly and hope you choose her to experience her skills for yourself!

Maddy is truly a joy to work with. She was attentive, helpful, and professional from the moment we met her. From the start, it was evident that Maddy cares deeply about each and every couple that she photographs. Her calming presence puts you at ease, and makes taking pictures in a variety of poses feel natural. Maddy is extremely talented, and she was a true team player coordinating with all of our our vendors seamlessly on the day of our wedding. Hiring Maddy as our photographer was by far one of the best wedding decisions we made. From our very first inquiry phone call, Maddy was so easy to talk to-- I felt like I was chatting with an old friend! Throughout the entire planning process, engagement session, and wedding day, Maddy was so responsive and an absolute dream to work with. Even my fiancé, now husband, who doesn't love being the center of attention felt comfortable and enjoyed all of our photo sessions. Maddy also had outstanding vendor recommendations that helped bring every vision of our big day to life. Her photos speak for themselves, they are gorgeous and we couldn't be happier. Our only problem is picking our favorites because we love so many of them!! Maddy was absolutely amazing, and the pictures we received were unbelievable. Maddy is so professional, friendly, and talented. From the original phone call, to the engagement session, and the wedding - Maddy was awesome. We are absolutely thrilled with our pictures. Where do I even begin…Maddy’s photos are breathtaking. The photos are so bright and clear; when looking at them I feel transported right back to our wedding day. Maddy was amazing to work with and she knows so many tricks on how to make posed photos look natural. She was able to take command of our large (somewhat rowdy) bridal party and large families to get all of our photos done in a timely manner, which was especially important because it was 95 degrees out! Our engagement photos in Shenandoah National Park turned out beautiful, and we were able to include our dogs!! I really liked the online portal used to schedule phone meetings, make payments, and be able to easily locate our contract. I cannot recommend Maddy enough!!

Maddy was the best thing we did on our wedding day. Not only was she professional and scheduled - she was kind and easy to work with. Maddy and her assistant (Brett) did an outstanding job with my wedding photography. Between the engagement shoot and the wedding her photos for sure look like something out of a magazine. It ended up raining on my outdoor wedding day but she was extremely patient and accommodating with the circumstances and once I received the photos I couldn't even tell it was a bad day or that I was crying 1/2 of the time. You won't regret your decision to trust Maddy for you special day!

You can't go wrong with hiring Maddy to capture your important life moments. We hired Maddy to capture our engagement photos. Maddy was informative and responsive from our very first email. We didn't have a particular location in mind for our photos, and Maddy was so helpful giving us a huge list of gorgeous locations to choose from. She handled the communication with one of the venue we choose, which was a huge task taken off of our hands. Maddy sent us an engagement session guide with helpful tips to prepare. She was available by text and helped us decided on of outfits when we wanted a professional opinion. My fiance and I are awkward and not photogenic. Maddy did a wonderful job making us feel at ease and posing us in our photos. Maddy was super quick on the return of our photos. We can't say enough good things about our experience with her.

We absolutely loved working with Maddy! She was professional, talented, and made us feel so comfortable during our photoshoots. She truly nailed the sweet romance we were trying to achieve through our pictures. Our package also included an engagement session and the photos came out beautiful! We had an incredible selection to choose for our save the date and website photos. Maddy’s system is also so easy to use. She uploads all photos online and gives you the option to download into a Google Photos album so it makes sharing with friends and family incredibly simple. In the days leading up to our wedding, Maddy was organized and helpful, even prepared for the rainfall predicted for our wedding! The day turned out gorgeous and so did our pictures. Maddy is truly a angel to work with! I looked at other photographs but none were as sweet as Maddy. In the middle of my engagement I moved out of the state and she was still able to work with me on everything through email. When the big day came she was on top of everything and made it so easy for my family and bridal party since it was raining that day, and her photos make it look like it wasn’t raining! Her attention to detail is amazing and she knows how to capture those special moments for you to enjoy and to always remember. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a photographer for any reason

I am so glad that we found and hired Maddy! She was great to work with throughout the entire process. I was worried before I hired her (or anyone) about my late ceremony start time and how in the world we were going to get quality pictures after dark. She was super responsive in sending me plenty of examples and talking through the use of flash with me. After we hired her, she sent us a super helpful magazine-style book to go through what to expect from our engagement session, what to wear, wedding day timelines - basically everything you could need to know. She made us feel so comfortable at our engagement session and returned sneak peak pictures from that to us the same day! For the wedding, she and her second shooter were on time, professional, worked well with my wedding planner, and kept everything running smoothly. She got us sneak peaks (there were like 95 of them) back the day after the wedding! Maddy is truly a rockstar - I'd hire her again in a heartbeat.

I truely can’t say enough good things about Maddy. She was the most professional and responsive vendor we worked with throughout the entire process. She exceeded our expectations from the start and then continued to surprise us even more along the way. Maddy is an incredible photographer, but her pictures aren’t the only thing that make her so great. She made us feel so comfortable during our engagement session and had some great ideas, which was very helpful considering my now husband and I had never done a photo shoot together before. I was also always amazed at how quickly she got our sneak peaks and pictures back to us. Some of her emails came in well after 12:00am, which just goes to show how hard she works. On our wedding day she went above and beyond to make sure every part of our day was captured. There was rain looming in the forecast all weekend, and they sky was full of clouds on our wedding day. Maddy helped me stay positive about the weather and our pictures all day, and she even came prepared with umbrellas for the entire bridal party (luckily we didn’t end up needing them). Looking back at our pictures, you would never even know it had been rainy/gloomy that day. We have already received so many compliments on our pictures (engagement and wedding), and there are still even more pictures to come. We truely can’t thank Maddy enough for being such an incredible photographer, and I have and will continue to recommend her to anyone who is in need of a photographer. I am already trying to come up with ideas to do more photo shoots with her in the future :)

I had THE DREAM TEAM for my wedding and I'm so happy Maddy was available to photograph our engagement and wedding. She's driven and has vision, which helped so much with my indecisiveness. My pictures turned out AMAZING and have received SO MANY compliments. She INCLUDES a second photography which is imperative to great wedding photos! I have even had friends already call her for their weddings! She was prompt with replies and was even there for my breakdown when I had to find a new planner. she has connections throughout the wedding industry and new small details that I would have never thought to ask. I would recommend her to anyone and EVERYONE! OH- AND she happily included my german shepherd in the engagement AND wedding photos!

Maddy BEAUTIFULLY captured our September 2nd wedding in the Mountains. Yes, it was chilly. Yes, it was misty. And yes, we had to move our ceremony inside BUT Maddy flawlessly captured the day. We were still able to get our first look, bridal party, and family photos outside and she captured the amazing mountain landscape that made us fall in love with our venue. Leading up to the day she was also quick to respond to any of my questions (especially as we planned for rain), the websites she uses to capture your desires is great, and her turnaround for pictures was so quick. I would VERY happily work with Maddy again.

I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about Maddy!! One of the most important things to me as a bride was to have an outstanding photographer to capture the most important day of my life. I am beyond happy that my mom found Maddy! She included an engagement session in our package and after we completed our engagement session with her I knew for sure we found the best photographer. When looking for a photographer, I found that many of them put a limit on how many photographs they would take. Even at the engagement session, Maddy took somewhere around 200 pictures and sent them all to us, edited. For both the engagement session and the wedding, she clicked away. They all came out beautiful. As far as the wedding- it was expected to downpour all day on my wedding day, which it did. Maddy came prepared for the rain with umbrellas for my entire bridal party, so we could still get pictures in case the rain didn't stop. Luckily, we had a small break and were able to get our pictures done. She is so patient and has so many great ideas for poses. I searched through hundreds of reviews (literally) when trying to choose our photographer, and I am so happy we chose to go with Maddy. One of my guests made a comment to me that she, "never saw my photographers (Maddy and the second shooter) stop clicking their cameras once." Maddy is truly the best- I would highly recommend her! If I ever need a photographer in the future, I will definitely be using her.
