Lia made the most perfect cupcakes and wedding cake for our wedding!!! They were just as beautiful as they were delicious. She did succulent and floral designs on the cupcakes that were so detailed and unique. Her team also made it super easy for us by delivering the cakes to our venue. We are so happy we chose her for our wedding!

For our wedding, we got a three-tiered cake with three different flavors and a large dessert table with three different desserts. The cake was decorated beautifully. And everything Lia provided was incredibly delicious. Months after our wedding, I still have guests raving about the mini pecan pies and St. Louie bars. One star less than perfect only because correspondence was spotty here and there. But overall we were thrilled with the services Lia provided.

Star baker! Lia was amazing to work with, so easy to communicate with, and captured our vision for our cake beautifully in her own unique style. Our cake was insanely delicious and the final decorations matched our theme flawlessly. Lia delivered and set up the cake herself and we couldn’t have been happier. Our guests still make comments about how incredible our cake was. We feel so lucky we got to work with Lia!

We hired Lia for our dessert bar and cake for our wedding this past year. We ordered an abundance of options and absolutely nothing was left at the end of the night. Everything was delicious and our wedding cake was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this bakery and it’s staff!

The cake was beautiful, but I don't think it had enough time to thaw out. I think it is would have been out of the fridge longer, would have had better results!

Absolutely amazing! When we did the at home cake tasting, we fell in love. Lia has amazing flavor options and all were incredible. We chose three different flavors for our tiered cake and also to have cupcakes for our gluten free and vegan crowd. I was slightly worried the cake would be dry (because wedding cake always seems to be), but OMG I ate 3 pieces! It was so moist and fresh. The flavors were the same as our tasting. Our friends were also so pleased with the allergen-free cupcakes. SO happy we chose Lia and will definitely be back for our anniversary cake. Thank you!

Lia made the most delicious and beautiful cake and dessert table for my wedding! She also has a super cute bakery in Florissant that my husband and I have since became regulars at. Everything she makes in amazing!

We loved working with Lia, she is so incredible and talented at what she does! We had a smaller cake with flowers on top for us to cut for us and save for our first anniversary and then we had cupcakes, they were a hit! The flavors that she has to select from are very unique and we loved how they were not your ordinary cupcake whatsoever, they were still fresh as we were snacking on leftovers a few days after the wedding! We really enjoyed the tasting option that she offered to us and would defiantly recommend taking advantage of it before picking our flavors. We really loved supporting a small business in old town Florissant that has taken off like no other, we love this bakery and working with Lia and we will be coming back here for every event or when we need a sweet treat, thank you so much!

From start to finish, Lia made our wedding cake journey so much fun! Her cake is absolutely delicious and we had a difficult time picking just two flavors to serve our guests. She makes the process so easy by being responsive and engaged. She created the most beautifully designed cake that incorporated elements of my parent's wedding cake too which was so meaningful. Made. by Lia was one of the easiest decisions we made when it came to wedding planning. We had done tastings at other places around St. Louis and everything just seemed so sterile. After doing a little digging, I sent my fiancé to grab a tasting box from Lia and immediately he was sold on the idea! Not only did he come back with our tasting boxes, but two other boxes filled with scones, cookies, macarons, donuts, strudels, and gooey butter cake. I loved the how creative we could be with different buttercream and cake flavors and that's when I knew we had to book Lia. It was fresh and each bite just left us wanting more. We ended up ordering kitchen cake and a cutting cake, then added on gooey butter cookies later because we couldn't stop thinking about them (thankful that she let us add this on no problem on the later end of planning)! Delivery was easy, on time, and she absolutely took my inspiration photos and nailed it. We couldn't have asked for a better cake!

We are so happy we decided to book Made. By Lia for our wedding day cakes! Lia's bakery is local to where I grew up, and I didn't know much about it until I visited one day in Fall of 2020 - I instantly fell in love with the vibe of the bakery and of course, all the baked goods they produced. You can taste and see all the love and hard work that goes into every single piece of food their team creates, and their wedding cakes are no different. Lia and her team were flexible with us when working through different cake sizes and flavor options to suit our guests, and the best part was that after the wedding when we told friends and family our cake was vegan, they were shocked! It is really THAT GOOD. The design of our wedding cake turned out to be stunning and we got so many compliments on its uniqueness. Lia made us a stunning wedding cake. It was SO SO delicious and elegantly designed. We opted for the watercolor painted cake and not only was it beautiful but it was so delicious. We picked chocolate and vanilla with strawberry filling. I could not have picked a better team to have brought my wedding cake dreams to life.

We got so many compliments on our wedding cake! Many of our guests said it was the best cake they'd ever had and it was absolutely stunning. We had to make a few changes due to COVID and each time Lia was incredibly accommodating. We had a small two tier cake and a few kitchen cakes, both in vanilla with strawberry buttercream. I would absolutely recommend Made. by Lia to other couples!

We used Made by Lia for our wedding. We order a two tier cake, cutting cake, kitchen cake and additional desserts. We loved working with Lia, she was so kind and easy to work with and answered all of our questions. The cake samples were so good, we had a hard time picking flavors so we just ordered a lot of cakes! Everything was beautiful and delicious. Our family and friends only had good things to say about the cake and desserts and made sure to tell us without even asking! Quite a few people said it was the best cake they have ever had. I thought so too! The vanilla with strawberry buttercream was so delicious. It's not even usually my favorite flavor but was amazing!

Lia made us the most beautiful and most tastey cakes for our wedding! I never thought I needed a wedding cake until I saw what she can do! Bob Ross vibes paired with some killer gooey butter squares are really all a girl needs on her wedding day! Lia was so kind and helpful to work with. I placed a pretty late order relative to most wedding requests and was pretty clueless about what we wanted. She made it so easy and they turned out more beautifully than I could’ve imagined. I’m already excited to order anniversary cake!

There aren't enough good things to say about Lia. She is seriously a wonderful human being and immensely talented to boot. Lia made our cake for our wedding on 5/22/2021. Not only was our cake absolutely delicious, but it was STUNNING- the design we chose was quite intricate with delicately piped art deco designs covering the entire cake. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. Lia was incredibly understanding when we experienced a bit sticker shock when we got the initial quote, and then was sooo accommodating/flexible in working with us to ensure we were still able to get the exact design we wanted at more of our budget price. The design must have been A LOT of work for her, and I just want to say how much I appreciate her hard work. In addition to being such a kind and generous person, her baking talent is unparalleled. I call myself a "Foodie," but my obsession with bakeries is next level. So needless to say, I was determined to have the best-tasting cake in all of St. Louis at my wedding. I taste-tested A LOT of cake from different bakeries- including some very fancy, "renowned," pricy artisan bakeries. Lia's was BY FAR the best we tried. We tried quite a few flavors (even when getting together our tasting box, Lia was super accommodating- typically a tasting box includes 3 flavors/cakes - we got 5!- and that's another awesome thing- rather than just giving you a tiny bit of each flavor with a little icing, from Lia you get an entire mini cake of each flavor!- this replicates the actual cake so much more efficiently from the other tasting boxes you get from other bakeries.) Anyway, we ended up choosing 4 different flavors- lemon cake with lemon cream and raspberry jam, and vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream made up the actual cake that we cut. Then for the kitchen cakes (which we wanted to remain cold/refrigerated), we did chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache and salted buttercream; and chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache, peanut butter fluff, and chocolate buttercream. Are you drooling yet?! I also want to give a shout out to her adorable bakery in Florissant- it's also filled with the most delectable treats- you will want one of everything! Special mention as well to her gooey butter cake- it's obviously delicious- even my mom who does not like gooey butter cake loved it, and said it was by far and away the best she ever had. We will most definitely be using Lia to make specialty cakes for us in the future. We cannot thank her enough!!! :)

Lia made my cake for my wedding on 5/22. It looked fantastic when it got there but after an hour of being left out, it started forming large bubbles underneath the frosting. Lia came to our venue to help salvage it, but we ended up just putting flowers over where the bubbles were. She gave us a full refund, which I’m very grateful for, but it wasn’t how I wanted our cake to look although it was still pretty. She was also very accommodating to my severe allergies and the cake tasted great.

Made by Lia was was PERFECT in every way!! We did a two tiered cake for the rehearsal dinner and it was the best cake I’ve ever had! I highly recommend the salted caramel buttercream. For the wedding, we did an assortment of mini desserts and got so many compliments on them! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars! And her litttle bakery shop in Florissant is adorable abd seriously has the best coffee. Definitely my favorite bakery!

This bakery is AMAZING. We hired Lia to make our small wedding cake and large sweets table for our wedding. In the months leading up to our event, I appreciated that Lia took the time to make sure every detail was implemented just as we wanted. She made the entire planning process a piece of cake! On our day, the entire dessert display and cake were as beautiful as they were delicious. We received so many compliments on the dessert table, but I think the best one is how little we had left at the end of the night! We highly recommend Made. by Lia for special occasion treats and, if you are near Old Town Florissant, stopping by her beautiful shop!

Lia is not only a fantastic baker but the nicest person! Originally she was out of town for our wedding date, but then told us she could make it work and still do our cake for us if we picked it up a day early. It was so kind of her to accommodate us and she was wonderful to work with. We ended up with her almond cake with raspberry preserves and WOW was it fantastic. Not only was it beautiful and exactly what we wanted, but all the guests also raved about how delicious it was. My husband and I couldn't even resist keeping the top tier to freeze for our first year, so we decided to eat half and save half because it was too good to wait for another year! Will definitely use Lia for other events and of course, stop by her bakery on the regular for great treats.

Lia was so great to work with & has the BEST desserts - from the selection, to the taste, to the presentation! We got so many compliments from our dessert bar which included a traditional two tiered wedding cake and four mini desserts for the guests to choose from.

Lia was recommended to us by our wedding planner, Hillary Williams of Hillary J Events and we are so happy she was. Like many 2020 couples, we had to change plans and downsize several times before our July 25th wedding. Lia was patient and gracious with our many changes, took the time to understand my vision for a clean, chic design, and expertly advised on the best way to transport our two layer cake to my parent's home an hour away in the heat of July. The cake was beautiful and delicious. We also ordered raspberry and lemon macarons to serve alongside the cake slices, and my husband and I both agreed they were better than anything we tasted on our trip to Paris. We can't recommend Lia enough and can't wait to follow all her success in St. Louis.

Lia is the best!!! While I've known her prior to her baking days, my tastebuds are unbiased in saying she makes some of the best wedding cake (and other desserts!) that I have ever tasted. We had next to no cake left at the end of the night and everyone raved about all of the desserts. Additionally, she is so talented in her decorating! She uses buttercream for a more natural look instead of fondant, which I personally thinks looks and tastes better. I gave her a general idea of what I was looking for and she used her creativity to make a gorgeous cake for us! Highly highly recommend for weddings and all events!

Lia is such a wonderful person and a very talented baker!! My husband and I hired her to bake our wedding cake! I even had her bake a cake for my bridal shower. Not only are her cakes scrumptious but her mini desserts are as well!!! She is a true artist and puts so much creativity into her work! She did such an impeccable job on both the bridal shower cake and our wedding cake! I definitely would recommend everyone to have her bake for any occasion! She definitely exceeded our expectations! Will definitely go back to her bakery for some coffee and bake goods!

Lia was so easy to work with and made the most delicious sweets I’ve ever had. I am personally not a fan of cake so we were tossing the idea back and forth to do ice cream instead. I am so happy we chose to go with Lia—the cake was AMAZING!! I guess I was just having the wrong cake all these years. Phenomenal! We also added on gooey butter cake party favors for the end of the night. All of our guests were ranting and raving about how delicious both desserts were. She made the process so easy. I wanted a simple cake full of flavor and she made that happen!! When we walked into our reception I was amazed at how cute the simple cake looked. It was EXACTLY what I had imagined for our wedding. If you are looking for amazing flavor and easy to work with vendor—Lia is your gal!!:)

I wish I could give Lia more than five stars. She is a must have on your wedding team. She has exceeded our expectations in every way and put the fun back into wedding planning during the stressful time of COVID. Not all vendors have been easy to work with rescheduling our wedding, however Lia has been responsive, sweet and a great communicator. Her desserts are absolutely the best! Consider adding some macaroons and cake bombs to your dessert table/party favors :)

Lia made my cake for my birthday and it was one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen. I can't even tell you how many compliments I had on it and the taste was amazing! I am also a wedding vendor and I have seen her wedding cakes and dessert spreads while setting up for weddings and let me tell you- everything she does is top notch! I highly recommend Made. by Lia!

As a wedding planner, it's safe to say that I get to taste my fair share of wedding cakes. Ironically, I am not much of a cake person, so if I am going to indulge in a sweet, it better be worth it :) Let's just say...EVERYTHING Lia bakes is worth it. With just one bite, it is evident that she uses only the freshest of ingredients; she keeps things simple but never compromises flavor (BONUS - she can accommodate all your guests' dietary restrictions at the utmost level of yummy). Her creativity extends into the designs of her cakes - always innovative and beautiful without being overdone! And the cherry on top? She is even sweeter than her creations. Your day will be MADE by choosing Lia :)

It goes without saying that Lia's work is gorgeous. I have pretty traditional taste and I wanted our cake to be relatively plain with just a bit of greenery, a few berries, and pinecones since it was a winter wedding. It seems simple, but our cake was GORGEOUS. It was tasteful, classic, and PERFECT. Even down to the way she positioned the greenery with the little pinecones... it was stunning. We received (and still do a month later) so many compliments. And of course, the taste was excellent. I have to say, though, I think my favorite part of working with Lia was the ease of it. She's a professional and she knows what she's doing. I never had to worry, ask a bunch of questions, wonder if there was anything I needed to do, etc. She was just on it to the point where I never had any concerns whatsoever ... which is huge when planning a wedding. Simply put, she's the best in all categories. You can't go wrong!!

The wedding cake that Lia made for our recent ceremony was absolutely perfect. The cake was beautiful, simple, and delicious, exactly as we had requested, and priced very reasonably for a wedding cake. Lia was so easy to work with and gracious about last minute changes that we requested. We will definitely be recommending Lia to our friends!

Lia was simply amazing! She was so easy and wonderful to work with. I had only a rough idea of what I wanted out of a wedding cake and she made it into a vision. Our cake was a showstopper and we got so many compliments. I also taste tested several different bakeries around the St. Louis area and she had the best tasting cake out of all of them. I couldn’t have asked for anything better!

My fiancé and I decided that we wanted a ‘naked’ cake for our wedding. After the initial phone conversation I knew Lia had the talent and skill to create our dream cake. She was so easy to work with! Our first tasting was a blast as she created a miniature version of our cake for us to try. We had our tasting as ‘dessert’ following our dinner at Hendel’s restaurant in Florissant. We enjoyed the experience so much that a month later I invited friends to Hendel’s to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday and had Lia create a multi layer chocolate birthday cake for dessert! The cake was moist and the chocolate rich and creamy! The day of our wedding our planner informed us that the cake was delivered on time by very friendly and efficient staff from Made By Lia. The cake was perfect. It was everything we hoped it would be. The lemon cake and curd layer were tangy with great texture and allowed the raspberry jam layers to really pop and the combo was a great citrus explosion in your mouth! The decor on the cake was a perfect use of flowers that the florist provided. Working with Lia was a real highlight of our wedding and my husband and I plan to enjoy many madbylia baked goods in our future!

I have always loved the style of cakes Made by Lia. We ordered the almond flavored cake with raspberry filling. The cake was wonderful and the entire process from ordering to our wedding day was so professional and stress free. Lia made exactly what we wanted and I cant say enough about the flavor and texture of her cake it was spot on delicious.

Lia is absolutely amazing! I've had the pleasure of working with her professional as a wedding photographer and personally, hiring her to make a cake for a grad party, and in both instances, she was a dream to work with. Her cakes are out of this work in regards to taste, and her artistry and creativity are so thoughtful and intentional. She was able to take my ideas of what I wanted and create a really beautiful dessert for us. On top of all that, my interactions with her as a person were so kind and easy, it made the whole process so smooth. I don't even know where to begin in reviewing this beautifully talented human! From the first email back Lia was so easy to communicate with! She was specific in asking exactly what I wanted and she got my vision PERFECTLY! She provided us samples of cakes to try to find our flavor combination! We chatted for months leading up to the big day so easily and she even had her sweet baby boy but still stayed in contact! This sweet lady knows what she is doing and she is good at what she does! 10/10 please do yourself a favor and go with Lia!

Lia is amazing! She very graciously "stepped out" of her last few days of maternity leave and created a beautiful two-tier cake for my daughter's Bridal Shower! Who does that?! I really did not have a concept of what I wanted for this cake, with the exception of having two tiers. The theme for the shower was "Fall In Love." I sent Lia pictures of the shower invitation and the card box we made. Her creation was absolutely stunning! The cake was vanilla with salted caramel buttercream filling. She added a caramel drip and fresh flowers to a "naked" frosted two-tier cake. Every guest at the shower talked about the cake, how beautiful it was, and how delicious it tasted! There are just no words to express my gratitude for Lia and her skills, creativity, and her devotion to each and every customer!

Lia was absolutely so enjoyable to work with. When we were tasting our cakes with her, she was able to sketch exactly what we described to her before our eyes. She’s not only a master baker, but also an artist. I wish I could eat out wedding cake every day!!! Her ganache is to die for. Cannot wait to visit her new bakery when it opens :)

Lia was very easy to work with, she knew exactly what I wanted on my wedding day, while I was explaining it! As my big day approached and we were cutting our cake, the cake didn’t last long at all. It was demolished within 15 minutes. That’s how delicious it was. Everything was perfect. From the cake to my mini pies and everything else she made. Thank you so much Lia. You made everything perfect for my big day with desserts!

Wow! I can’t say enough about our incredible cake and sweets. Lia definitely hit it out of the park. So easy to work with too. We did a beautiful 3 tier cake plus desserts. Everything was delivered as ordered! The cake was the talk of the reception!!!

Lia exceeded all of my expectations and my desserts were honestly the favorite part of my wedding ceremony; they were decor within themselves, not to mention, tasted INCREDIBLE! I am a bit of a psycho detail control freak, I literally sent Lia around 5 pictures of different cakes, and drew on each of them what I liked about them, and made detailed notes about what I want the same and what I'd want to change - she never made me feel like I was being too picky or annoying her and she gave me specific feedback on every request to let me know what she could do and what the price of each request would be. She was honest, straight forward, creative, and always got back to me right away. Although I was specific, I had to leave a lot of creative freedom to Lia because I knew what I liked but I couldn't quite envision all of my 'requests' put together; that was hard for me to do but with Lia I felt completely at ease because I knew I was in good hands and I trusted her completely. She gave me fun options that I didn't even know existed and we came up with something beautiful together. Design, flavor, and presentation were better than I imagined and the price was reasonable too. Made.by Lia will not disappoint :)

Lia is incredible!!! Not only are her cakes the best tasting but also the absolute cutest! She is so easy to work with and has the best attitude! She’s made my wedding cake, bridal shower cake and baby shower cake and they’ve all turned out perfectly!
