Andrew from Made From Skratch is the best wedding DJ I've ever partied with, and I've been a lot of weddings! We hired him after seeing him at some of our best friends' wedding, and let me tell you — just book him. He was great to communicate with before the event, he made it super easy to share what songs we wanted without it being too complicated, and the guy can MIX. Lots of DJs seem like they are just going through a playlist, but not Andrew. He weaved through his set expertly, lingered on the songs that made people go crazy, and most of all? He had all the people who never dance out there going crazy. If you're looking for a wedding DJ in/around Austin, you can't do better than Made From Skratch!

Andrew was awesome from the get go. He provided a detailed outline of what I wanted for my wedding. He arrived promptly at the venue and was set up and ready to go for our ceremony. I gave him some generalized ideas of what I wanted for the dance portion of the reception ands he nailed it! There was not a time when the dance floor was empty. He read the crowd and kept the party going until we had to shut it down. I received multiple compliments on him after the ceremony and everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! I was very impressed with Andrew and his services. I was sick right before my wedding and didn't get to meet with him before. So I sent him a word doc on what songs I need at what time, details, etc. and he made it happen! Also, me and my guests loved the photo booth. That was so much fun!

Andrew was so great! When I found him and booked Made from Skratch our wedding was in Austin and our date was in April. We ended up changing our venue to Houston and our date to August and Andrew was super flexible in making that change happen- we had no issues with that! He was always very quick to respond both on email and text. We didn't have a day of coordinator and Andrew did an amazing job coordinating our events and time- even when we started running behind- he was able to keep me updated and adjusted our timeline of events to make sure we had a lot of party time! We got lots of compliments on the music and had such a fun time. I would definitely recommend him!

There is a reason why my vendor only has Made from Skratch as their only preferred Dj’s! Andrew was absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! You know how they tell you brides always have like one thing they care about the most? Well for me it was the music. So Andrew was the first vendor I booked right after the venue and getting engaged. Over the phone he was very helpful and relatable we actually talked more about personal lives than business at first haha. I couldn’t wait to see what he would do for us at the wedding however I had him booked but the wedding was so far out that I really couldn’t do/plan anything till it got closer to the date. Andrew kept reassuring me that everything was going to be okay even having to wait. When it finally got time to plan the music, he was right there every step of the way!! The sound was great in the venue (which was a barn) the sound was great outside during the ceremony (everyone could hear the pastor) and the music was everything I wanted to hear that night! He helped the pace of the wedding run according to schedule and asked questions when needed to make sure we didn’t miss anything we planned for! Highly recommend this company and Andrew himself! They are affordable and have really cool packages! We got a photo booth, cold sparks, and personalized monogram for the wall as well as the music itself. It was a perfect day thanks to them!!

We had Johnny as our DJ and wedding MC. He didn't miss a beat with the queues, met all of our requests, and did a great job of keeping our dance floor alive all night. Communication was hit or miss with Andrew leading up to the wedding and seemed a bit disorganized, but overall we were very pleased with Johnny and our day-of experience

Andrew is by far the BEST wedding DJ around!! We gave him a list of songs that were a must to play and he played them at the right moment. He read the vibe of the dance floor and kept everyone dancing the WHOLE NIGHT!!!! On top of that, the introduction of our wedding party, personal dances, and hyping the guests up was on point! We had a proposal video and a memorial video that we wanted to play and Andrew brought all the connections we needed and downloaded the videos for us and played them on 2 different TV's so that we didn't have to worry about it. Andrew was our wedding DJ and was nothing short of amazing!! We got so many compliments on the music. Everything flowed so naturally and he kept the crowd going all night. All we had to do was give him a general idea of what we wanted and he took it from there. Anytime I had a question, Andrew was there to share his expertise. Andrew did an amazing job taking our Spotify playlist and mixing it into the most fire wedding night mix of all time. I don’t think we could have convinced the wedding guests to leave the dance floor if we had tried. The song transitions were expertly mixed and very fun to hear how they melted from one song to the next. He also went above and beyond with custom song requests - non-English mp3s that were locked in a google drive up until AFTER the ceremony and cocktail hour, and was still able to expertly weave them into the evenings dance playlist as if he’d had them days in advance. Truly a feat of expert DJing. Can’t recommend Made From Scratch enough, they did such an amazing, amazing job.

Andrew was nothing short of extremely professional and fun! Andrew was suggested to us by our Wedding Planner Shamika, owner of An Event To Remember, and we would not be more pleased with the service, experience but most importantly the vibe of the whole evening. My Husband and I explained to him explained to him our expectations and he met ever single one of them. We asked for a mix of country, tejano, cumbias, hip hop and top 100/pop....He accomplished our perfect mix of genres with skill and ease. Andrew was PHENOMENAL! He was so laidback and made the planning a breeze, he was very available but also didn't ask us for a ton of info we weren't sure about - he was able to take the inspiration playlists we had and take it away. One thing he said a couple times was "our goal is to make sure the music is one thing you don't have to worry about" and that was absolutely true for us. So many of our guests told us how fantastic he was - one of our friends who is a DJ and usually dislikes other DJs (haha) especially called out how much he loved Andrew. He made the planning and day of easy, worry-free, and most of all FUN! Recommend him 100000 times over, you won't regret it.

Andrew (the owner) was our DJ and could not have provided us with a better experience. Believe me when I say, Andrew is truly a master of his craft. From the entrances, to the dance music, to the exits, everything Andrew did for us was absolutely perfect. His photo booth was an absolute hit with our guests. His rotation of music based on our requests was spot on: our dance floor was never empty! If you are searching for a DJ for your wedding, do not look any further than Andrew. He is definitely the best out there!

We booked Andrew 6 months prior to our wedding. About a month out, Andrew let us know he was not going to be able to DJ our wedding. He provided a replacement, Ric, for our wedding on 9-25-21 in Austin. Overall, I think Ric did a good job. He was very familiar with the venue and had worked with the staff before, it was obvious he knew what he was doing. He was punctual and set up on time. He did a great job of keeping guests on the dance floor and playing a variety of music. We had a long list of requests and “do not play’s” and Ric did a fantastic job adhering to our requests but also playing some crowd pleasing classics! He had an upbeat energy that’s essential for any wedding - there were no awkward pauses and the evening flowed nicely. The one issue we had was that he did not play the correct ceremony songs including our bridal party entry song and bridal song. Although not detrimental to our wedding, this was pretty disappointing - we had met with Ric a few days before to review the songs we wanted played. As a bride, it sucks having your entrance (and the wedding party entrance) ruined with a song you didn’t pick. Our day was still great, but of all the vendors we worked with we felt the DJ fell short of our expectations.

Our DJ was one of the first vendors we booked after we got engaged because they were running a covid deal. I spoke directly with the owner, Andrew, who was set to be our DJ on wedding day when booking. He was very polite and professional. Unfortunately he suffered an injury prior to our wedding day and was unable to attend the event himself. Instead of cancelling on us, he placed his head DJ Johnny on the job and the transition was seamless. Johnny had 2 meetings with us prior to the wedding to go over our music list, set up early on the day of the event and made last minute changes to the order of some of our important dances (father daughter, etc.). We had a relatively small wedding so an even smaller group of dancers but he still managed to keep the crowd up and moving. My 3 year old nephew (and ringbearer) requested the chicken dance song and Johnny came to us before playing it to make sure we were okay with it. One of the absolute highlights of the night was ALL our friends and family dancing to this, we will never forget it 😂

Andrew did an amazing job at our wedding. I knew he would because I actually got his card from another wedding that I went to because I thought he was great, but he really exceeded all of our expectations. He is such a cool guy and so easy to work with. There was not one minute that the dance floor was empty at our wedding. The music was so good, once you got on the dance floor you couldn’t get off of it! My husband and I never sat down to eat at our own wedding, the music and atmosphere was really that good! There was something played for everyone and I don’t have one complaint. He is responsive, shows up on time, very easy to talk to and he is definitely the best DJ for your wedding!

Andrew is a great DJ who is very professional and had people dancing the night away! My wife and I had 2 Zoom meetings to go over the logistics. He has a great understanding of this and takes requests into account (i.e. leaving out songs with profanity or a genre you don't like) Personal tip for anyone who wants to hire him: organize your song list in an Excel spreadsheet. Even if you don't have specific songs for certain parts of your wedding, at least put down a generic idea (i.e. skirt smooth jazz during the cocktail hour). This will make his job a lot easier and your wedding will go a lot smoother. My wife and I did that, and he really appreciated it.

On the day of the wedding Andrew arrived right when he needed to in order to get set and made sure everything was set with us our coordinator, and our emcee. Throughout the wedding he was flexible with timeline changes and our music requests. Overall he is an outstanding wedding DJ. Leading up to the wedding he was a very effective communicator and made sure everything would be perfect for our day, which it was.

Andrew was SO great. It poured rain most of the day at our all outdoor venue but Andrew still made it work and kept our dance floor packed all night long. It has been about a month and a half since our wedding and people are still talking about how awesome he was. I would not hesitate to recommend him or to book him again for future events.

This was our DJ for our wedding and we really enjoyed their services. I gave them a specific playlist to play and they did a great job at engaging the crowd and mixing it up. The announcing was great and they were able to adjust when needed. We had a Photo Booth added to our services but something went wrong and they were unable to provided these services, luckily they gave us a refund and we were able to find a new photo booth in time. Their communication was always great and the price is very reasonable.

Andrew was very awesome and easy to work with! We had him as our DJ for our wedding last Saturday as recommended by our venue owner! She was so so right about recommending him. We never had problems with communicating with him and if he does reply a little later than usual, it’s because he’s really hands on with his job and has other gigs going on. He’s really that good! The one thing I appreciate is that even if he’s a big time DJ in the area, he replies as soon as possible even if he has gigs going on which we really appreciate and admire! He didn’t hesitate to come meet up with him twice and he obliged right away when we requested for a video presentation at the last minute. Never had any complaint and we really loved his work! If you all need a DJ for any event, please do choose him! He’s that good!
