So many of our guests told us how fantastic he was - one of our friends who is a DJ and usually dislikes other DJs (haha) especially called out how much he loved Andrew. He made the planning and day of easy, worry-free, and most of all FUN! Recommend him 100000 times over, you won't regret it.

He did a great job of keeping guests on the dance floor and playing a variety of music. We had a long list of requests and “do not play’s” and Ric did a fantastic job adhering to our requests but also playing some crowd pleasing classics! He had an upbeat energy that’s essential for any wedding - there were no awkward pauses and the evening flowed nicely. The one issue we had was that he did not play the correct ceremony songs including our bridal party entry song and bridal song. Although not detrimental to our wedding, this was pretty disappointing - we had met with Ric a few days before to review the songs we wanted played. As a bride, it sucks having your entrance (and the wedding party entrance) ruined with a song you didn’t pick. Our day was still great, but of all the vendors we worked with we felt the DJ fell short of our expectations.

tunately he suffered an injury prior to our wedding day and was unable to attend the event himself. Instead of cancelling on us, he placed his head DJ Johnny on the job and the transition was seamless. Johnny had 2 meetings with us prior to the wedding to go over our music list, set up early on the day of the event and made last minute changes to the order of some of our important dances (father daughter, etc.). We had a relatively small wedding so an even smaller group of dancers but he still managed to keep the crowd up and moving. My 3 year old nephew (and ringbearer) requested the chicken dance song and Johnny came to us before playing it to make sure we were okay with it. One of the absolute highlights of the night was ALL our friends and family dancing to this, we will never forget it 😂

All in all, the DJ portion of the services from Made from Skratch were good (aside from the monogram projection having the wrong initials). Johnny played songs we loved, took requests from friends, and we had a great time. Unfortunately, the photo booth ended up being a disaster. The attendant went missing for long periods of time. When he was finally located and the booth was "running", photos never actually were printed. Due to this technical issue, the guests didn't get copies of the photos, and we were also promised a physical copy and digital copies, which we never received. I understand sometimes things break, so I emailed Andrew post-wedding to follow up on this issue and see if any photos could be recovered or if we could work something out. He never responded. This was a bummer because until this issue, I had enjoyed working with him. If I could do it over again, I would choose a different vendor.

Leading up to the wedding Drew met with us multiple times to address any concerns we had and make sure our music was spot on! Everything from the ceremony to the cocktail and dinner were exactly the vibe that we wanted and we were even able to make request in real time. MFS also gave us multiple options for DJ booths that tied into our venue which was awesome! Their pricing was very affordable for the work and effort that that brought the day off! Ive already referred them to one of my bridesmaids! Thanks again!

Based on the Spanish-speaking population that would attend our wedding and my taste in music, he recommended DJ Abe and had him reach out to me a few days later. The day before the wedding I messaged the DJ and asked him if he had any questions or needed anything from me. He replied, "I think I'm good on my end sir...What time are we slated to start the ceremony?" Wondering why he would ask a question like that the day before the wedding, I said 3:15 PM and then asked what time he would arrive. He texted back, "I will try and be there by 1 or 1:30 for set up and sound check." I replied, "Sounds good!" Our special day had arrived and Abe, the DJ, ran two hours late. To start the ceremony on time, I asked my friend to play the music from my phone via an aux cable. The DJ arrived around 3:20 PM and started to set up in the hall for the cocktail hour. During the cocktail hour, Abe realized he had forgotten the uplighting, so he told the wedding coordinator that he would need to run to his house to get lights. He was gone for about 45 minutes. My wife and I literally heard the music stop from outside the hall while we were taking our pictures. Imagine that. After taking pictures, the bridal party re-entered the hall to music played by the DJ. The DJ did not translate anything in Spanish or hype up the guests the entire night. He also seemed to be unfamiliar with the Vibora, a Mexican wedding tradition, and failed to give any instructions for it. He also failed to emcee the garter toss, bouquet toss, and even the first dance. It was a disaster and extremely embarrassing. Guests left early and even made comments to me and my wife about the DJ.  My wife and I were both so upset by the DJ's services that I messaged the company owner during the wedding while we were supposed to be enjoying our day. Andrew called me on Monday, December 23rd to discuss our experience. During that call, Andrew took ownership of the issue, apologized, and said that he would call me the next day to provide a resolution. After two days of not hearing from him, I called Andrew again. He did not answer. Since then, he has ignored all of my calls and text messages. It is now a little over two weeks after our wedding and he has yet to respond to me.  I highly discourage anyone from contracting Made From Skratch Weddings for any service, especially after the way the company owner did not fulfill his end of the contract or keep his word. Shoddy business practices! A wedding is a special day that you cannot redo or get back; do NOT take a risk with Made From Skratch Weddings. You will regret it.

ferent options, Andrew's price was far lower than other DJ's who appeared to be about as professional - it's always hard to tell how high quality a DJ will be just from what you see online, but our personal recommendation said he was very high quality, and other DJ's in his price range didn't appear as professional. When we actually heard Andrew, we were so impressed with his quality - he was a great MC, and he read the room very well during the dancing. He is extremely talented at transitioning between songs and keeping the party going. He also worked with us to modify specific songs so they would fit well for our mother-son dance, which we appreciated a lot. The only difficulty we had was that Andrew was sometimes a bit slow at communicating about logistics over email in the weeks leading up to the wedding - be sure to communicate with him early and often. However, we were still able to get everything figured out, so our experience with him was certainly still 5/5, and would absolutely recommend him to anyone!

Andrew was quick to respond to my inquiries through the quote and made himself extremely available to sit down and talk face-to-face about his services and what we were looking for. At our initial meeting he talked about having another face-to-face meeting closer to the wedding date to go over all the final details and music selections before the big day. I signed my contract with him my parents paid the deposit and I checked booking a DJ off my list feeling good. However, as the wedding date approached and I began reaching out to him about setting up a meeting to go over final details and give him our music selection list his availability and response time took a complete 180. The man who started off responding in minutes was now taking weeks to respond to emails and text messages and when responses were provided the enthusiasm and professionalism that came across in his conversations at the beginning were no longer there. He canceled multiple meetings with us due to the sickness, lack of child care, and car problems (which in all fairness if not just excuses were completely out of his control) and in the end he was never available to make time to meet with us before our wedding date. He did mention to me that he had recently gone through a divorce, so it could possibly be that he was/is just going through a rough patch in life and adjusting to this drastic change, but his inability to maintain professionalism in his business ventures was very concerning to me as a client who had paid him a good chunk of money for his services. Even on the day of our wedding, his attitude and presentation indicated that he did not care to be there. I know Made From Skratch Weddings has some very positive reviews, my parents used their services and recommended them to me, but in the end I would not recommend the services I received to anyone else. My two stars come from the service and great communication I received at the beginning and because he did show up on our wedding day and provide the services we asked and paid for. FIND ANOTHER DJ!

. Huge mistake paying him and his shady company Made in Skratch in full prior to meeting with him. It was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of him whether it was through emails, text, or phone calls. In total, he CANCELLED AT LEAST FIVE MEETINGS with us. 1st meeting, he cancelled due to him having the flu. Reasonable. 2nd cancelled due to the death of his uncle. Understandable, out of his control, we all go through it at some point. Next meeting, he stated his wife, whom he recently divorced (great for you to let me know about your divorce as I plan for my wedding, real professional,) dropped off his kids, and he had no time to get a baby sitter. 2nd time he said his ex wife had an emergency, which was why she was dropping off the kids. I was worried at this point, but still gave him the benefit of the doubt. We picked a new date that worked. This next part, my fiancé and I were joking about the night before, knowing he would cancel again, and sure enough…On the day ANDREW AGREED TO, he texted us HOURS before our meeting, “father in law is having open heart surgery today and me and the kiddos also have the flu”. EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE. Anybody in their right mind at this point would get very worried that this loser would not be able to make it on a specific date/time. He can’t even make thirty minutes for us prior to our wedding after paying him more than $1200. After many unanswered texts, and bombarding him with calls, FINALLY, I was able to get him on the phone. Andrew sounded pathetic and overwhelmed, I felt sorry for him. At this point, I was horrified as he told me he was FORCED TO MISS A WEDDING the past weekend. My worst fears were already happening to another one of his “clients”. We requested another DJ, he had a few different ones on his website. We didn’t have the money to lose. We already paid this irresponsible person, surely the other DJs must be more professional. WRONG! After our request, a few days went by and he got back to us w/ Johnny Murphy. We tried everything to contact Johnny, and didn’t get a response from him either. Could you imagine making money this way? No self-respecting businessperson would ever go out of the way to make himself and his business look so bad at every single step of the way. We’re definitely not the first couple to pay him, only to find doesn’t give a f*** anymore, so he can ignore us and irritate us until we ask for a refund, as any reasonable person would do. When I asked for a refund he said it was impossible because it was within 90 day window. BS. This dude came very close to ruining our wedding. Refusing to meet, purposely delaying any correspondence so he can refuse to refund us… ANDREW TREVINO IS A CROOK. A WARNING!!! Do not book Andrew Trevino, HE COULD RUIN YOUR WEDDING! We heard that he was affordable, but i see how he’s stayed in business. For all I know Made in Skratch are con artists/scammers. A lot of these positive reviews could be from anyone, friends, family or even him and his employees. We were too patient in dealing with him. I believe he delayed us meeting him intentionally so that we could not have a refund. Andrew Trevino and his company Made From Skratch have NO INTEGRITY. DO NOT LET HIM RUIN YOUR WEDDING!

d hope for in a wedding DJ and more! He communicated everything from his arrival and ceremony plans, to where we were at on our timeline. Anything we needed from getting heat going to delaying the cake cutting a song or two he was calmly on top of it and ready to do whatever he could. We gave an outline of songs and music styles and Johnny ran with it from there even better than we could've imagined. This company is professional, easy to work with, and knows how to get a party going and keep it that way!

Now I am one week away from my wedding. NO DJ and I had to BEG (10 plus emails) to get at least my refund back.

What he added for us was A LOT (like 40+) of very specific Indian songs to accomplish our Indian & American fusion wedding playlist. The mixed ethnicities crowd was FIRE all night long! Now, let's talk equipment & lighting. Yes, just YES TO IT ALL! Made from Skratch's equipment, including audio setup, lighting, portability, diversity, and adaptive capabilities make it all top of the line. Truly, top of the line, including cordless speakers, lighting, GOBO Monogram lighting, ability to remotely control music from a distance for the outside ceremony using a tablet to control the mics, music, fade ins & outs, etc in real time, and even the photobooth is flipping awesome! I honestly have nothing bad to say whatsoever about this vendor! Oh, AND CAN WE TALK PRICING?! Out of this world kind of affordable! We even had the sparkler fountains, with the photobooth,up lights, entire evening of amazing DJ experience, on top of a sound quality ceremony with no static or glitchy noise, just total clarity. ALL of this for LESS THAN the cost other vendors, especially Indian DJs, even offered for minimal uprights and speakers! Not even including them doing the DJing! Just give Drew a call and you'll see how amazing he and his entire crew is. DO IT!
