Hi there, I'm Madeline, a wedding and event photographer based in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. I shoot both digital and film, and film isn't an add-on for me, it's baked into how I see a day. There's a warmth and a patience to it that changes how I shoot, and I think that shows up in the final gallery. I'm drawn to the in-between moments: your family members tossing little ones up in the air, the you're guests' reactions to seeing each other for the first time in maybe years, the exhale after the ceremony. My style is candid and editorial, less about posed perfection and more about telling the true story of your day, so that when you look back at your photos in twenty years, they feel like memory, not performance. I got my start second shooting weddings across the DMV and up into NJ and NYC before launching my own studio, and I'm now in my second year running photographing weddings. I'm also an active member of the DC Film Collective, a community of analog photographers here in DC, which keeps me constantly learning and shooting on film even outside of client work.
