We are so happy we went with Madeline’s Catering for our wedding. They were responsive and helpful with planning our menu. We chose to have the hand-passed hors d’oeuvres for our cocktail hour and the buffet style dinner. They took care of everything seamlessly. The staff were extremely helpful and kind the day of the wedding. We received many compliments regarding the food and service from our guests. Would definitely recommend Madeline’s Catering!

Since starting her company in 1990, Madeline and her team have worked with thousands of couples to bring their wedding dining vision to life. They now provide their services for over 500 private events a year and strive to create a seamless and stress-free catering experience from consultation to cleanup. Madeline’s Catering is available to provide on-location catering to celebrations throughout Monroe County. Knowing that every wedding is different, Madeline and her team offer a selection of packages to choose from to fit your needs, desires, and budget. As well as dining options, they also provide experienced service staff and trained bartenders who are ready to keep glasses full and guests happy.

I received my Culinary Degree in Food Service Management from Johnson and Wales University. A native of Westchester County, love and marriage moved me to Upstate New York where I settled into a position as a Sales Representative for a food service company out of Rochester. While working in that field, I had made several contacts with local caterers and it was one of these contacts that led to the start of Madeline’s Catering.

We spent a year planning our dream wedding, and while written communications with Madeline could be frustrating (she doesn’t read or respond to emails in a thorough manner), we did...

find her to be very flexible and accommodating, and the food we tasted when sampling the menu was excellent. However, we were surprised and heartbroken at how badly our plans were executed on the day of the wedding. Despite our contract stating that it was to be an open bar, we were horrified to discover that the bartender from Madeline's Catering had switched our open bar to a cash bar, and several of our guests were charged money for their drinks before the event coordinator told her it was supposed to be an open bar all night long. We later discovered that a number of our guests never even went to the bar because the rumor had spread that it was a cash bar! Our overpriced filet mignon was served with the wrong topping (not even close to what we ordered), but otherwise the food was good. However, we are still mortified that our guests ever thought we expected them to open their wallets at our wedding! (We did get Madeline's to refund their money.) We were also very disappointed that there was only one person pouring drinks during the busy cocktail hour, especially since our contract required a second person to be pouring drinks during this time. We had asked to pay for a second bartender for that time, but Madeline just wanted to assign a server to help out — and then that didn’t even happen. A word of advice to anyone thinking of hiring Madeline’s Catering: insist on speaking with the staff who will be working the event to review the details of the catering contract; do not rely on Madeline to do that. Her heart is in the right place, but we found her to not be a good communicator, and she did not put in the necessary time to supervise new staff. One last note: aside from the bartender, we did find the other servers—especially the lead server, Anne — to be very dedicated to making our wedding reception everything we hoped for. Anne was especially kind and thoughtful!

caterer because she was retiring - only 2 months before the event!!! (Yikes! bridal breakdown!) - we were thrilled to discover Madeline was actually available (maybe it helped having a Sunday wedding!) The buffet food was absolutely delicious, (the salmon and garlic mashed potatoes were TDF), and they provided an expert bartender even though we bought our own wine and beer. Professional expert providers of delicious food and service and cleanup was a breeze and unobtrusive. The staff was friendly and so helpful. THE BEST!

th a little ceremony and dinner at a family members house) due to covid and Madeline's Catering helped us out big time. They truly made the experience as pleasant and stress free as possible. In about a week and a half before the wedding, we were able to order catering for twenty people. We ordered the mini vegetarian tacos and coconut shrimp for appetizers and then we had salad, top sirloin of beef, chicken marsala, garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal fresh vegetables, and two entrees for a couple vegetarians in the family. Everything was delicious! The mini vegetarian tacos stood out as a favorite, they were unique and so tasty, but we were impressed with everything we had ordered. The drop off service was flawless and they were so respectful and friendly. I absolutely would recommend Madeline's Catering and will certainly use them in the future! Thank you for helping to make our wedding day so perfect!

y husband found Madeline to be easy to communicate with, helpful, and flexible throughout the inquiry/ booking process. The prices were reasonable and they were upfront regarding the costs, which we really appreciated. Madeline made the re-planning process so much smoother for us during a stressful time-- and we can’t thank her enough for that! To top it off, the food was AMAZING. The carved beef, the scalloped potatoes, & the crab cakes were especially memorable. The Mediterranean station was another highlight and so unique. The service was outstanding as well. The day-of, we had a team of 5 servers including a bartender. Beth seemed to be the coordinator of the group and she was the sweetest. She was incredibly attentive, checking in with us frequently throughout the evening. While we were taking family portraits, two servers brought hand-passed appetizers out to us so we didn’t miss them… such a thoughtful gesture. The bartender also took great care of us. Overall, this team rolled with the punches with us, and ensured we (& our guests) were satisfied despite 1000 covid-related changes. We can’t wait to enjoy their food again at future Artisan Works events!

thing has always been wonderful. Our engagement party was no exception! My fiancé and I wanted seafood for our engagement party, so we went for a clambake. Madeline put together a creative menu that was inclusive of picky eaters. Everything was delicious. My father who has a compliant about most dining experiences, could not stop saying how wonderful the food was. The staff was prompt, hardworking, and so wonderful to all our guests. the easiest and most affordable option for the venue. We were attracted by that fact that we would have nearly unlimited options when choosing our menu, which was really important to my husband and I because we are reluctantly becoming food snobs thanks to our time living in Bordeaux. I met with Madeline to discuss some initial ideas but I left our meeting more confused than when I came. Having lots of options is great but it was a little overwhelming, especially when none of the items have prices listed. We had a specific budget we wanted to stick to, and without knowing which items were more expensive than others, our menu selection process became one big guessing game. That was the only thing that was a a little frustrating. Once we finally found the right combination, at the right price, things were fine. The food was beautifully prepared and everyone was really happy with their meal. As I said, we received lots of compliments from our guests during the event and it is still one of the things that people mention when we talk about the wedding! Thank you for a delicious dinner!

Madeline's Catering was amazing to work with. The sky was the limit for the menu. Everyone was so pleased with the food, top of the line! Everything looked great and tasted amazing...

. My guests commented that it was the best wedding food, and that the hand-passed hourderves came around more than expected. The bartender worked for them too and she was amazing, super friendly. It is great when you have older realitives who couldn't access stations so they made plates and served them to the elders. I am more than pleased.
