DO NOT BOOK WITH HER!!!! I was a maid of honor in a wedding at the beginning of June 2026 and she ruined my best friend’s getting ready experience. Throughout the whole planning pr...
ocess communication was horrible and she kept changing the prices of things, changing times, adding fees (one for an additional stylist), canceling her trial, etc. she changed her email and phone number and didn’t tell us during the planning process too. We also had to pay for EVERYTHING up front which I have never done before. It was very stressful and we honestly were not counting on her showing up on wedding day. The day before the wedding she told the coordinator that she was worried about fitting us all in and said “we changed the time on her” even though she knew of the start time the whole time. It was a stressful situation and she was very difficult to work with. The morning of she showed up with no extra stylists (WHICH WE PAID FOR) and not enough materials. She started on makeup and when she had taken an hour to get 1 of the 11 scheduled services done one of the bridesmaids asked her if we should start doing our own hair and makeup since there was no way she’d get all of us done. She was full of attitude saying that she knows what she’s doing and she would get to us and that she wouldn’t give anyone a refund. The mother of the bride mentioned a similar idea later and Madison told her that if anyone gave her attitude she was leaving without doing anyone else’s hair or makeup and no refunds. The bride had still not even gotten anything done yet so everyone stopped talking to Madison and just started on their own hair. One of the bridesmaids ended up doing 5 people’s hair that day. When we realized how long this was truly taking we told the bride to go get her hair done before Madison continued with bridesmaid’s makeup. The bride sat in a chair and Madison said she wouldn’t do her hair until she was done with all makeup. When she finally started the bride’s hair she said she couldn’t do the hairstyle she wanted because it was not possible to keep a part and do a slick back at the same time. The bride ended up redoing her own hair after. Madison did not have enough of/the right supplies to complete the services we paid for. She ended up using my supplies including makeup wipes, saying she doesn’t bring them anymore “because people steal them from her. Almost everyone who had a service provided by her redid it themselves because it looked bad. Madison brought everyone’s mood down throughout the morning. She only completed 6 of the 11 paid for services. We didn’t get to take any getting ready pictures. She made us pay a fee for an extra stylist and didn’t bring one, she was an awful communicator, and she was rude. I would never recommend her to anyone. She was BY FAR the worst vendor we dealt with. Extremely disappointing since we started the day with her!
I do not recommend Madinlove based on my experience leading up to and on my wedding day.
In April 2025, I was informed that pricing would be $175 per person, with an additional fee...
closer to the wedding date if extra stylists were needed. However, the cost per additional stylist was never disclosed, nor was it included in the contract. Then, in January 2026, I was informed that four stylists would be required at a cost of $200 per stylist.
Communication became increasingly difficult as my wedding approached. In February 2026, just one month before my wedding, there had been no communication regarding scheduling an appointment prior to my bridal portraits. I had to reach out the day before my bridals to ask about the appointment time and location. At that point, I was informed that her personal studio had closed and was no longer available. She assumed we would be able to get ready at Addison Woods, but I explained that this was not possible because the venue could not provide a space long enough for hair and makeup services to be completed. I was then informed that I would need to pay an additional travel fee for services to be completed at my home, and she still arrived late.
On my wedding day in March 2026, she arrived with only herself and one student assistant who could only perform basic curling hairstyles. We were already working within a limited timeframe, as we could not access the venue until 10:00 AM and needed 12 people fully ready by 1:30 PM. As a result, the entire day ran behind schedule.
My paternal grandmother was sent back to the hotel and told to “comb her hair out herself.” She also did not have the proper tools needed to complete my maternal grandmother’s makeup. One bridesmaid was told she did not have enough hair for the hairstyle she wanted, but no alternative suggestions were offered, and there was no time left to correct it, resulting in another bridesmaid having to complete her hair. Another bridesmaid’s makeup did not match her skin tone and had a visible line where the makeup ended. Additional time had originally been allocated for touch-ups, but those never occurred because the schedule was running so far behind.
Due to these delays, we missed several important moments and photos, including pajama pictures, bridesmaid reveal photos, photos with my mother, and even had to push back the start of my ceremony.
Overall, I did not receive the bridal experience I had always dreamed of, and it is something that still upsets me to this day. During the wedding day, one of my bridesmaids overheard her say, “I hope they don’t ask for a refund because I already spent it all.” She also accused the bridesmaids of taking her keys, only to later find them in her own belongings.
After the wedding, both my mother and I attempted to contact her by text message and email regarding these concerns. Our text messages eventually began sending as green instead of blue, and emails were returned as “sender not found.” Later, my younger sister followed her on Facebook and discovered she had posted that she changed both her phone number and email address.
I would strongly urge anyone to think twice before booking Madison with “Mad In Love.”
This was BY FAR the most stressful and disappointing vendor experience of my entire wedding ...
in November 2025.
After paying my invoice months in advance, communication became extremely unreliable. Messages routinely went unanswered for days or even weeks, and I had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic responses. Despite multiple attempts to schedule a trial well in advance, it was not set until less than two weeks before my wedding.
The trial itself was rushed and lacked preparation. She mentioned having other appointments and that she had no extra time to spend, leaving minimal time to attempt a complicated hairstyle, which she ultimately did not even try to execute. More concerning, she appeared unfamiliar with the style I had sent months earlier and just stated it “wouldn’t work,” yet I was able to recreate it myself afterward. I was then told I needed entirely different extensions, forcing me to spend additional money right before my wedding.
On the wedding day, she arrived alone, even though I was explicitly charged an assistant fee. This was never presented as optional or discretionary. No assistant was provided, despite being paid for.
The hairstyles for both myself and my daughter did not resemble the inspiration photos I had clearly provided...exactly what I had been concerned about after how poorly the trial went. Because she had no assistant things took longer and I had no time to fix my hair after she left. Additionally, throughout the appointment, she made multiple negative comments about other clients and groups she has worked with, which was both unprofessional and very uncomfortable.
The most troubling issue is what happened after the wedding. When I requested a refund for the assistant fee that was charged but not provided, it was initially refused. After significant back and forth, I was told a refund would only be issued if I signed a refund agreement. I signed that agreement in good faith. However, more than two months past the date she agreed too, I still have not received the agreed refund. I was told it had been processed, but no proof has ever been provided, and communication has since stopped entirely.
These are only a portion of the issues I experienced but the list could go on.
Charging for services not provided, requiring a signed agreement to issue a refund, and then failing to follow through on that agreement raises serious concerns about business practices.
Based on my experience, I would not trust this vendor to deliver services as promised or to resolve issues professionally. Extremely disappointing!
I booked Madison for wedding hair and makeup for September 2025. Unfortunately, important details about fees, service hours, and expectations were only discussed over the phone an...
d not included in the contract. Payment expectations were tied to invoice dates, without clear written deadlines or service availability.
After signing, I was informed of additional fees and service hour limitations that I had not been made aware of upfront. Had I known these details, I would not have booked. No trial run was scheduled, and no wedding-day services were ever provided. When I inquired about a refund, I was informed it would not be possible.
Overall, my experience lacked the clarity and transparency I believe couples deserve when booking such an important vendor
