The cake arrived 5 HOURS LATE ..... it spiraled downwards from that point .... their manager Archie had the audacity to talk back, in a very abrupt way, to the very upset groom ......
.. they also were freaking out because NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THEIR TEAM KNEW HOWTO CUT A CAKE .... SERIOUSLY NOT JOKING !!!! THE PEOPLE WHO MADE IT, HAD NO IDEA HOW TO CUT IT .... lots of crying, drama and diva "artist" attitude .... Archie needs lessons in manners, time management, communication and presentation ..... the best way I can describe the experience is VULGAR. THE PRICE MAY BE LUXURY, IT ENDS THERE !!!!!

ding and we almost had no cake at all. We met initially and went over design for 2.5 hours, asking her multiple times if what we wanted would fit into the budget and being assured it would work. Two weeks later (2 weeks out from our wedding) we received two quotes, the lesser of which was DOUBLE our budget. Heartbroken, I thought perhaps something was wrong. Unfortunately, she had “underestimated” the work during our 2.5 hour meeting, and after meeting with her business manager, told us the cake would be $10,000 if we wanted it. We had another meeting where we expressed our dismay, and concluded to make the cake smaller and with less detail to fit our budget. The cake was pretty, but really not what we expected. The whole situation left a terrible taste in our mouths (no pun intended). Now, over 3 months later, I have yet to receive back two sculptures (very sentimental to us) we loaned her for the design, even though I’ve emailed them every two weeks for the return. We had a beautiful wedding day, but I will never recommend this company to anyone because of our highly negative experience.

to have my wedding in NYC, she was the first person I contacted to do a tasting. I called her studio where it was easy to set up an appointment and ask some questions about the process, pricing, etc. She then requested some images of our wedding details to get a sense of the vibe and look of my wedding. The day of the cake tasting arrived (I even brought my parents along from FL) and the entire experience was wonderful. Madison Lee and her team were so friendly and relaxed and the cake was so darn delicious! She then asked a few more design questions about our wedding and proceeded to create an entire sketch while we were sitting there. Chef Madison came up with a unique and special cake that incorporated the metallics I wanted featured in addition to making the cake a whole statement piece for my wedding just like I wanted. I was a bit nervous as I originally only pictured sugar flowers on my cake but Chef Madison told me not to worry and to come back in a few weeks. When I came back to her studio she had created a real size model of the cake just like her sketch so I could visualize exactly how it would look. I was instantly in love and knew my cake was going to be perfect. The other concern I had was delivery. I was to be married at the Central Park Boathouse and the ceremony was in the same space as the reception so there was a very short (like 45 minutes short!) window during the cocktail hour outside when the room was converted for the reception. That proved to be no issue for Chef Madison and her team and when everyone walked into the room for dinner, the cake was featured just how I requested. So many of my guests commented on how beautiful and delicious the cake was (we chose the caramel crunch flavor) and some guests even requested a second helping. Chef Madison was welcoming, accommodating, and went above and beyond at every opportunity! I can't thank her enough for making my wedding cake experience so special and stress-free!

love and care into each one of her designs. Most of the other famous cake artists don't show up to your wedding, but Madison showed up and even put final surprise touches I was blown away by. I told her I loved buttercream and vanilla, and my husband loved salted caramel. I was worried we wouldnt be able to get both of what we wanted, but she combined both in a special way where I enjoyed his and he enjoyed mine when we had our cake ceremony! When we cut into the cake there was an even sweeter surprise! All these little pearls came out and they were crunchy nutella bites. OMG we were in heaven! She even matched the cake sequins to my wedding dress. I dont know how she managed to do that, but it was the most unique cake I've ever seen! I wish we would post pictures on here so I could show everyone how amazing it is!

sal story and even makes gluten free flavors that are delicious! She said she wanted to make us a really special cake, and promised a sketch for two weeks later. Two weeks turned into four weeks turned into months. Three weeks before the wedding I still hadn't seen a sketch or a proposal from her. After lots of panicked phone calls we finally heard back and got a sketch and she did ultimately deliver the cake (which was good!). Six weeks after the wedding she finally sends me the proposal and invoice, marked overdue (which you are supposed to receive in advance to secure the date). So bottom line, she made us a beautiful and delicious cake but her studio (which was between managers, apparently) was very unprofessional to deal with and three weeks before the wedding I was convinced that we were SOL and wouldn't have a cake at all

ally love her personal approach and the very helpful visual she provides with different sized styrofoam cake pieces as you build your design. She also thought of things that I didn't even consider like the height of the cake (since my fiance was over 6 ft. tall!) I gave her very minimal inspiration photos because I was just so busy dealing with my other weddings I hardly had time for myself but with the little bit I provided along with some descriptive words of what I was thinking, Madison drafted up the most beautiful sketch of what would be our expected wedding cake. When the wedding day came I honestly cried when I saw the cake because it was even more beautiful than what I could have ever imagined. Her sugar flowers are like works of art, you feel guilty cutting into your cake! And of course we all know, the cake can be gorgeous but does it taste good? The answer is yes! The water color painting of our sample wedding cake was such a nice touch to an overall great experience. As for the most important part, the cake on our wedding day, chocolate peanut butter and strawberries and cream layers with a beautiful buttercream on the outside and the most amazing realistic candied flower halo around the middle of the cake. We received so many compliments on our cake of course for flavor but no one believed the flowers weren’t real and they matched our bouquets perfectly. When you embark on the task of planning a wedding Madison Lee should be at the top of your list – She is just a delight to work with and such a talented pastry chef. Thank you for everything Madison – you are a huge part of one of the most important days!

the shape of the cake using different cake components, the cake and delivery, a cake stand, and – best of all – a fresh cake for your first anniversary, so that you don’t have to rely on the frozen topper. Madison hand-painted the most beautiful wildflower detail on our cake, and her assistants worked to ensure that the color scheme (including the inside of the cake!) matched that of our custom topper that we had ordered separately. Everyone in the business is super sweet, just like the cakes themselves. Lastly, I found her pricing to be incredibly reasonable – especially for New York. We also have a hand-sketched rendering of what the cake looked like that we can treasure going forward.

We felt so fortunate to be able to have a Madison Lee cake at our wedding. Our cake was so sophisticated and beautiful. Her hand painted flowers are really special! No one could believe the flowers and ivy were not real! Her lily of the valley bells (that were also in my bouquet) were perfection.
My husband and I loved our cake tasting. She took the time to get to know us, so our cake really represented us as a couple. Even her hand drawn and painted cake sketches are really pretty. We kept ours.
To this day she hands down has made the best cake we have ever tried. I love frosting and her frosting is superb, and the cake itself is perfectly moist and packed full of flavor. We went with the red velvet (our favorite type of cake), and it was fantastic. We got countless complements on how it was the best wedding cake they had ever had (including their own wedding). We look forward to future occasions to have one of Madison's custom creations.
I was the MoH in a wedding with a Madison Lee cake. The cake's taste was pleasant, nothing special and it looked fine but this bakery delivered 4 hours late. After promising an 1...
1.30 am delivery (guest arrival at 12.45) so that the cake could be displayed during the reception. They did not deliver until 3pm, and the reception ended at 4pm. The cake was only able to be displayed for about 10 minutes before we had to have them do the cutting and serving. The photographer was only booked until after 3, so thanks to this bakery's inability to deliver in anything resembling a reasonable time frame the bride and groom will have no progressional pictures of their cake or cutting. Any NYC business knows what traffic and delivery obstacles are and should be able to plan ahead. I would never trust any of my business or recommend them to my friends. Stay away unless you want to risk bridal tears and family criticism.

to work with Madison; however, was a little sad, assuming I wouldn't be able to eat my own wedding cake (most gluten-free options are offered by vendors who focus on that, rather subtle and challenging method of baking).
Though Madison admitted upfront that she did not specialize in gluten-free, she stepped right up to the plate, and experimented for us.
The result was, not only the most beautiful, but the most delicious cake I have ever had, full stop. The guests had no idea it was gluten-free, and it remains among the top three memories from the evening of many guests (myself included).
Not to mention, Madison was warm, friendly and easy...a salve to any bride-to-be's many anxieties.

My husband & I wanted something beautiful that actually tasted good... and did it ever! It's been weeks now & people still rave about how delicious my cake was and how they devoured the fondant (yes, the fondant!)b/c it tasted like melted marshmallows.
It was easy to get in touch with her when you needed & she was able to do anything you asked her to. She even provided my mini desserts all for a reasonable price. I just can't say enough good things about Madison. She's my go-to pastry chef from this point on.
