Hi, I'm Madi, the photographer behind Madison Rae Photographs, LLC. Based in Salem, VA, I photograph weddings throughout Roanoke, Southwest Virginia, and beyond. My approach is simple: I want your wedding photos to feel like you. The big moments matter, but so do the quiet ones, with the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the hugs from family, the happy tears, the laughter, and everything in between.
As a wife, mom of two boys, and U.S. Air Force veteran, I understand how quickly life moves. Photographs become more valuable with time, and my goal is to create images that bring you right back to how your wedding day felt years from now.
I take a relaxed, guided approach to wedding photography. You don't need to know how to pose or worry about being in front of the camera. I'll help when needed while also giving you space to be present with the people you love most. The result is a gallery filled with genuine moments, natural connection, and the details that make your day uniquely yours.
My editing style is clean, timeless, and true-to-life, with natural skin tones and colors that won't feel trendy years from now. Every wedding collection includes planning support, timeline guidance, high-resolution digital images, an online gallery for downloading and sharing, and a full print release.

I'm a wife, boy mom, Air Force veteran, and photographer based in Roanoke, Virginia. My love for photography started as a hobby in 2007 and grew into the business I run today. What began with photographing family, friends, and everyday moments eventually led me to documenting weddings and life's biggest milestones.
My approach is relaxed, genuine, and people-focused. I'll guide you when needed, but I also believe some of the best photographs happen naturally. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, present, and able to enjoy your day while I document it as it unfolds.
