MADRE – Boutique Taqueria in Boise, Idaho, was built around the idea that some of life’s most meaningful moments happen around a shared table. Inspired by Mexican family traditions—where the madre often gathers everyone together for a meal—our approach to catering centers on connection, warmth, and thoughtful hospitality. It’s a style of dining that feels especially fitting for weddings and celebrations.
John and Julie Cuevas have owned and operated MADRE since 2018. Together, they’ve grown the restaurant and catering business by focusing on quality food and genuine service. John trained at The Scottsdale Culinary Institute and has worked in a variety of professional kitchens, experiences that continue to shape the menus and attention to detail at MADRE.
We cater weddings and events of many sizes, whether that means delivery, takeout, or full-service catering. Over the years, our team has supported many couples on their wedding day, working closely with them to create a menu that reflects their tastes and style. From signature tacos like Idaho Potato & Chorizo to Street Tacos, menus are customized to fit each event.
