Mae's Ridge

I work for several wedding planners in the area as an assistant and always sign up for a job when I see it's at Mae's Ridge. The views are stunning, the layout is phenomenal, and the staff there is incredible to work with. I've even shown the venue to a few of my engaged friends who ended up choosing it as their wedding venue! Highly recommend.

I got married here in October and it was the single greatest experience of my life!! From the second we booked we knew this venue would provide everything and more to make our wedding the best. Abby, the manager at the venue who is also a wedding planner, coordinated our wedding BEAUTIFULLY. We got compliments all night about how stunning the venue was and how smooth the day went. We would recommend getting married at Mae's Ridge and definitely hiring Abby as your coordinator!

Mae’s Ridge has been my dream wedding venue for a long time and it completely delivered. Not only is the venue itself beautiful with plenty of space, Rick, Joell and Abby are so attentive and amazing at what they do. Our day went so smoothly and we had the best time!

The overall venue was stunning. The staff were all so kind and flexible. I needed disco balls installed for my wedding and they graciously allowed for the installation to occur the day before to ensure they would see my wedding day. The venue was beautifully captured in my photos. This place holds a special place in my heart. I recommend it to those who want an outdoor wedding but also want back up options. This venue has two outdoor options and if it rains you still have the ability to get married under a covered pavilion.

Mae's Ridge was such a beautiful venue! We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The Mae's Ridge team was attentive, helpful, and quickly responded whenever we reached out with miscellaneous questions concerning the venue. They really made us feel comfortable and welcome! We could not have asked for a better venue and are so happy that we chose Mae's Ridge for our wedding.

Literally one of the best venues to get married at! The wonderful people who work at the venue made the entire experience so easy leading up and during the day of the wedding! You seriously won’t regret booking here if you are wanting a very eclectic vibe for you wedding! Also the views of the hills are amazing to have in the background!

Beautiful Venue! My wife and I loved all the facilities. The two-sided bar was also pretty dope! The reception area is perfect for those that are looking for a rustic/industrial look! Abby was also super nice and very helpful.

One of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process was to get married at Mae's Ridge. It is without a doubt the most beautiful venue in the Dripping Spring/Austin area and Joell, Rick and Abby were a pleasure to work with and very kind and accommodating. To quickly highlight some of the things we love about Mae's Ridge: - Mae's Ridge has several possible ceremony locations. Even though it rained on our wedding day we were able to get married under their pergola which is also stunning. Our guests remarked that the view from the pergola looked like an impressionist painting. - Joell is an exquisite interior designer and the reception hall requires minimal to no additional decoration. - The grooms get their own building with a bar, TV and several games. Where do we begin this testimonial? From the first time we came on site, Joell and Rick were friendly, accommodating and as down to Earth as they come. Less is more here, and this modern farmhouse along with the Hill Country views all speak for itself. It was a no-brainer to choose this venue. Then, for the big day.... We were told by others who've been married to expect some stuff to go wrong, and to let it slide and remember the big picture... I thought my wife and I were impervious to it until we discovered that our bartending vendor had failed to come on time - AND IT WAS ALREADY COCKTAIL HOUR. Thank God, the worst wasn't even bad, because the drinks were being served by Joell and Rick who had stepped up huge, and you'd have never known that they were the owners and not the bartenders! The day seemed like a fairytale blur, and even though the bartending service royally dropped the ball, it was mitigated by them. Plus, they accommodated our fur family! I can't recommend them, their service and their establishment any stronger for your big day; you won't regret it.

Mae's Ridge truly exceeded our venue expectations. I was a very Type A bride and researched venues around Dripping Springs like crazy. I knew when we went to visit the venue that that was the one we'd go with. From the beginning, Joell and Rick were incredibly helpful and kind. As we began our planning process, Abby was also so amazing with answering any questions that came up. After our wedding, we had SO many guests that went out of their way to tell us how unique and beautiful the venue was and unlike anything they'd seen. To our knowledge, everything went absolutely perfectly on our wedding day and I credit part of that to the well thought out venue and wonderful people there to help things run so smoothly. I wish I could relive my day at Mae's Ridge EVERY SINGLE DAY!

I truly don't believe a better wedding venue exists! From the thoughtful design, beautiful location (hello epic sunsets), incredible team and seamless communication our wedding at Mae's Ridge was an absolute dream. Rick, Joell and Abby were so accommodating from the start and truly helped to make our day a smashing success. We are so thrilled that we got the chance to get married at Mae's Ridge and are sending endless thanks to all that helped make the day even more phenomenal than we could have imagined!

We absolutely LOVED Mae’s Ridge. There are no venues in Texas that will even come close to the atmosphere and design of Mae’s Ridge. We knew the second after we toured that this place was perfect. The details are exquisite and extremely unique but so beautiful. It made decorating so easy because all we really needed was accent pieces. This venue had everything we needed- bridal suite, grooms building, built in bar & an outdoor area that could be opened up so that guests can flow in and out. We received more compliments on our venue than anything else and the team is so amazing. They made finding vendors so easy since they verify and vet everyone they work with so you know who you can trust. We absolutely loved our experience. It was the perfect venue for our special day.

Mae's Ridge is an amazing place to have your wedding and reception. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of Mae's Ridge and the surrounding hill country. As soon as my daughter visited Mae's Ridge, she chose the venue right away! They have three outdoor ceremony sites, with one of them under a Pavilion in case of rain. She was married in the Grove and the guests had a perfect view of the hill country as the ceremony backdrop. It was such a lovely and intimate space under these beautiful mature trees. They also have a beautiful indoor and outdoor bar for cocktail hour and the reception which is truly unique. There's so much natural light coming in through the glass walls/windows into the reception area, plus one wall opens up into their cocktail/patio area and our guests truly enjoyed being able to just walk out to the patio when they needed a respite from the music. The patio is set up with their cocktail tables and chairs and you can also access the bar from outside. Next to the building is their Pavilion, where we set up giant Jenga games and also had chairs for guests to sit and visit. Great for if you have kids who need to get some energy out. They also have several lovely spots for you and your guests to take photo ops like their beautiful swings outside as well as their fire pit. And the sunset views are gorgeous. In fact, after dinner and before the toasts, many guests wandered outside (while the bride and groom were taking their sunset pictures) to enjoy the beautiful views themselves and take their own sunset pictures. Our planner even remarked that she's never seen a reception space empty during dinner time. It was that gorgeous outside! And I can't say enough about Joell and Rick and how super helpful they were on the day of. Rick was outside using the leaf blower to ensure that the cocktail space was immaculate. They were also available the whole time in case our planner needed anything regarding the venue. And at the end of the night, they were available to help pack up items. I love that they were so hands-on! The venue requires very little decoration, and anything just enhances the existing elegance and beauty of the space. We loved the space and highly recommend it and the personal attention that is given by Joell and Rick!

So many amazing things to say about Mae's Ridge! The venue is perfection, and my husband and I fell in love when we first visited, and it exceeded our expectations on our wedding day. We wanted to give our guests a hill country experience, and Mae's delivered with it's epic views, particularly at sunset. Abby was an absolute joy to work with and was incredibly responsive throughout the whole planning process. If you want smiles and positive vibes on your wedding day, book your wedding at Mae's Ridge! My fiancé and I along with my parents immediately fell in love with Mae's Ridge the second we drove up to the venue for the first time. Mae's Ridge was the perfect setting for our Texas Hill Country wedding. Joell and Abby were amazing to work with and provided a fabulous list of trusted vendors. All the vendors I spoke to loved working out at Mae's Ridge and that says a lot! We chose to get married at the Grove site under the beautiful Oak trees and I cannot get over how spectacular the ceremony setting was in June. The interior reception hall does not need many decorations since the windows make it gorgeous by itself (plus the chairs are adorable). There is endless picture opportunities at Mae's even in the Groom's suite which is amazing! Honestly for me it was Mae's Ridge or nothing. Abby and Joell were a delight to work with and the venue was PERFECT! Beautiful and great flow -so happy we chose Mae’s Ridge. A plus was the Hillside Acres Retreat right across the street with 6 cabins, a pool and games.

On our first drive out to Mae's Ridge, we got stuck in traffic and told ourselves there was no way we were booking this venue. However, we immediately changed our minds as we stepped out of the car. Not only was the venue absolutely stunning, but we were blown away by the warmth and hospitality showed to us by Joell. Mae's Ridge is full of wonderful little touches, from the custom chairs and lighting to the groom's accommodations and the ceremony space. When we finished the tour, we knew we had to have our wedding there and felt 100% confident in the team. On the day of the wedding, the entire Mae's Ridge team was incredibly accommodating. We felt totally taken care of and didn't have any issues. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about the venue, and our photos are absolutely stunning.

We loved Mae’s Ridge since the first time we walked through. The ceremony areas, outside views and inside of the reception hall are gorgeous and the outside patio / bar area and the “man cave” were all fun, laid back areas that our guests loved as much as we did. More importantly, the Mae’s Ridge team was amazing to work with, flexible and quick to respond with any questions we had and insight on vendors, set up, etc. We truly couldn’t have picked a better venue.

What a gorgeous venue to host your wedding! We booked Mae's Ridge before visiting in person because we aren't local to the Austin area. When we finally got to see it, it exceeded our expectations. It's a modern venue set on a stunning landscape and has everything you could ever need, a bridal salon, a bar that serves both indoor and outdoor, and the new groomsmen cabin was such a hit. An added bonus is that the owners Joell and Rick are the sweetest people to work with!

Mae's Ridge is a spectacular wedding venue! The setting in Texas Hill Country is amazing and they left no detail undone from knowing where the sun sets to having options for inclement weather or having outdoor space for guests to play games and gather. The ready rooms for the bride and groom started the day off with perfection, and really had us in comfort. We had so many guests commenting on the beauty and how unique the venue was. Rick and Joelle provide excellent service, as well being very organized, responsive, and patient to answer any questions. If you want the perfect Texas wedding we highly recommend Mae's Ridge.

The wedding venue is absolutely spectacular. The setting in the hills country with the sunsets and lush greenery make it the perfect place to be married. The vendor is extremely conscientious and provides everything you could possibly need. I am so looking forward to being there again when my daughters get married.

Mae's was the third venue we toured, and we knew it was the perfect fit the second we stepped foot on the property. Of course the property is absolutely stunning, the perfect blend of farm-style & modern, but what really sold us was the character of the owners. Rick & Joell were so kind to us throughout this entire process, and you could tell they genuinely love what they do. You get this venue for an amazing price, and the support you receive from the owners along the way is priceless. If I could do it all again, I would choose Mae's every time!

We had our Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Mae's Ridge in April 2022. Joell and Rick (The Owner's) were so lovely to work with throughout the process. The Ceremony area is beautiful and overlooks an amazing scenery. They also have a backup ceremony option that is covered as well! The Reception area was perfect for our Wedding and so clean and beautiful. They provided a great list of preferred vendors that had worked at the venue before and operated seamlessly setting up, during the reception, and during tear down. They also have amazing amenities for the Bridal Party to get ready and hang out before the wedding. When we setup my wedding, I literally started crying because of how beautiful this venue was. It was everything I ever dreamed of for my wedding. It is the PERFECT VENUE. Light, airy, inviting, and yet homey and trendy at the same time. Joelle and Rick have carefully chosen each detail about the venue and it shows. From the first time we saw the Mae's Ridge website, we just feel in love with the venue and were even more blown away for our first visit. We were a pandemic postponement couple and Rick and Joell were so gracious and flexible during the rescheduling period - it made the whole thing so much less stressful. When it came to working out the details for our wedding, they were extremely communicative and answered all of our questions. The space is a design dream - so beautifully designed and curated and fit our vibe perfectly. There are so many amenities and thoughtful touches, it truly is a beautiful space and lends itself well for crowds of all sizes. The layout of the venue offers flexibility for both indoor and outdoor set-ups, complete with a covered outdoor pavilion, swings, a firepit, both bridal and groomsmen suites, an indoor/outdoor bar, onsite kitchen, beautiful ceremony and reception rentals, etc. It truly is a turn-key location and we loved having our wedding there.

When looking for a wedding venue my goal was to find a location that didn’t scream traditional. I wanted a place that my guest could come and go, “Wow! I’ve never been to a wedding somewhere like THIS!” And boy, did we find it! From start to finish the experience with Mae’s Ridge (and Joell and Rick, the owners), was incredible! I could write a novel, but here are the highlights - *Communication with Joell and Rick was very accessible, prompt, and warm-hearted *There are several ceremony sites to fit any wedding vibe (and rain back up spots that are ALSO beautiful…not always the case with other venues we walked) *With their location on the Ridge the sunsets and the pics you can get…I mean helllooooo?! Say no more, out of this world…magazine level wow! *Joell’s eye for design is next level!! —> with no decorations the venue is breathtaking, so even minimal additions takes it beyond expectation All in all, our experience was wonderful and I would strongly encourage anyone considering MR to jump on it fast! I am confident that this venue will become an iconic staple of the hill country wedding world as the years go on.

Our daughter's wedding was help in April at Mae's Ridge. Rick and Joell are the best! No request was too big or too difficult, the coordination with our planners and vendors was impeccable and the site is just amazing. All our guests complimented us on the choice of Mae's Ridge and it was a perfect wedding.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I checked out maybe 15-20 different venues looking for the perfect one. So I can confidently say that Mae's Ridge is so unique and unlike any other venue you'll find near Austin! It's such a modern design that fits so many different aesthetics (i.e. boho, modern and sleek, simple garden-y), and it's so true that you don't need much decoration because the venue itself is already so gorgeous on its own (my vendors' words, not just my own!). One of my favorite things to see at the end of our big day was all the pictures our guests took around the venue - there are aesthetic places everywhere, although my absolute favorites were the big swings that we made sure to request pictures on with our photographer. :) If you check our Mae's Ridge, you'll also be in awe of how much thought was put into designing and building this place. Just to list a few: an abundance of natural light, perfect hill-country backdrop views, easy-access handicap bathrooms, bar that easily converts from indoor to outdoor, walkways that have an aesthetic gravel look but are designed with padding so there's no trouble with heels, and a new spacious grooms suite (honestly a far too rare commodity at venues)! Also, one of my main concerns for my early September wedding was the HEAT. We'd chosen the grove as our ceremony site and were completely prepared to burn in the sun for 30 minutes, but I'll tell you that you can trust Joell and Rick even took the sun's direction into account in the design! Our 5:30pm wedding (with sunset being close to 8pm) had the most perfect shade over both our guests and the wedding party. On top of beautiful design, Joell and Rick are just so sweet. They not only answered all our questions in a reasonable time via both text and email, but also were unexpectedly helping out a bunch the day of! So thankful for them. :) My only regrets regarding the venue were not having enough time in our schedule to bask in its beauty and take more pictures everywhere! I'm crossing my fingers that one of my friends will host a wedding here so I can experience it as a guest too :)

The owners of Mae's Ridge are absolutely incredible! Our wedding was at the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic, and through all the chaos they worked with us to make things right. Can not recommend them enough! The venue is also absolutely beautiful, and the perfect place for all your friends and family to be together.

This was an out of town wedding for us. Fantastic venue, in an incredible setting that’s nearly brand new and well worth the 100 mile drive. We visited a number of venues over a handful of weekends and it wasn’t very long after our arrival that it became very clear, Mae’s Ridge was “the one” The owners Joell & Rick are very accommodating and truly bend over backwards to deliver on most every whim. My daughter (Bride) is a Wedding Planner by profession, so for her to be as pleased as her proud parents really speaks to just how fantastic it is/was.

Mae's Ridge was the first venue we visited and we immediately could see our wedding here and was honestly pointless to look anywhere else! Joell and Rick have created such a fun and unique space, mixing up the typical barn look you see often with such cool textures, patterns, furniture and gold accents. Every single detail of this place is BEAUTIFUL! I also loved Mae's Ridge because of their outdoor ceremony options; one option being under a beautiful pavilion with a gorgeous view which allows for you to still have your ceremony outside even if it rains (which is always unpredictable in Texas) so I loved the fact that no matter which ceremony area we could still get married outside. Our guests highly enjoyed the fun indoor/outdoor bar, swings and lawn games. I would definitely recommend this place for any bride looking for amazing hill country views and a fun atmosphere for their wedding!

My husband and I can truly never put into words how happy we are to have gotten married at Mae's Ridge! It is the most beautiful venue we have ever seen, and it felt like it was truly made for us. We knew right when we saw it that this was the place we would say "I Do." From the beautiful hill country backdrop, to our perfect outdoor dinner under the pavillion, to the cutest CHAIRS ever (chairs - yes, they're beautiful) I could go on and on about how perfect this place is. Like seriously. Our guests were stunned as well. However, more than the gorgeous venue and stunning location, we are SO GRATEFUL for Joell and Rick, the venue's owners. They are wonderful people, and we felt like we've known them forever. They went above and beyond for us, making sure every part of our day went smoothly. We planned our wedding during COVID-19, and they were willing to do anything we needed to help us keep our guests safe and calm all anxieties. We ended up postponing our wedding reception, but we are so excited to go back and celebrate even more, once we are able! They can't get rid of us that easily :) Our wedding was truly made perfect by this venue. We cannot ever imagine picking another place. Easiest, best decision ever. We will love and support this couple and this venue for life!

Mae’s Ridge is the modern farmhouse of my dreams with elegant finishes and touches of fun with its mid century flair! Joell & Rick have created something truly special and it’s because they put so much love into this space! My fiancé and I were so moved by their desire to bring this venue to life and all the gorgeous renderings that we chose this venue when it was not even completed! I can’t say enough how magical this place is, when you come visit, you’ll feel it too.

Mae's Ridge is the perfect venue for us! We were looking for something that was modern, but that had plenty of space on pretty land. That can be hard to find as most "country" settings include a barn vibe for the venue. We love the indoor/ outdoor nature of the space and that has been especially helpful being a bride during 2020. Mae's Ridge is gorgeous and working with their team so far has been great! We are 2 weeks out from our wedding.
