Maestra Ensemble is a string quartet based in northern Virginia. We are available to perform for weddings and other events in Virginia, DC, and Maryland. Our musicians are professionally trained and each have 10+ years of experience performing for weddings. When you hire us, we'll provide you not only with live entertainment, but also our talent and expertise with planning music. We know that wedding planning can be very stressful. We'll guide you every step of the way so you have one less thing to worry about!
We are available for hire as a quartet, trio, duo, or solo. Our main instruments are violin, viola, and cello, but we can add other instruments to our ensemble if you have any specific requests (i.e. piano, harp, flute, etc.). We offer a wide variety of music genres, including classical, pop, rock, country, folk, and movie tunes. Have you ever dreamt of walking down the aisle to your favorite song? We can make it happen!

I also found the pacing of their communication leading up to the wedding to be perfect -- I never found myself in limbo wondering when the next time I'd hear from Eleanor would be. The day of our wedding, they arrived on time and without issue, and put together a great performance during our ceremony and cocktail hour. We've had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed Maestra Ensemble's performance. ed at our cocktail hour and wedding reception. To help in the planning process, Eleanor shared a playlist of options in a Google Sheet hyperlinked to YouTube videos of quartet versions of the song. It was an effective way to listen to the song on that orchestral format. They offer a variety of classical, contemporary, pop and rock songs. Everything is customizable. We chose Imperial Death March from Star Wars for the groom’s walk out music and Just Dance by Lady Gaga for the bride’s walk out music. We have Beethoven and Bach along with Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift songs, for instance. The variety was fun. Guests loved it. Highly recommend!
