We cannot say enough good things about Magda and Simon and recommend them enough. If you want beautiful pictures to remember your wedding day hire them as your photographers! Our wedding day was the first time that we met them, but my husband and I felt as if we knew them forever. They felt more like 2 guests with cameras at our wedding rather than 2 photographers that we hired for the day! Magda was so responsive to all of the emails that we sent and they were super laid back and helped to make the day very stress free and fun. All of our guests loved them as well! We received our sneak peak a couple of days after our wedding date and the photos that we received are absolutely stunning - we cannot wait to see the rest!

We got married back in September (this review is long overdue!) and I cannot recommend Magda & Simon enough. Our friends used them for their wedding and we loved their photos so we knew we were making the right choice off the bat. They were so easy to work with and we had such a blast. I am a super awkward person and was extremely nervous about having our photos taken but at our engagement photos, they immediately made the process feel very comfortable and I will forever be grateful for that. It was awesome having Magda & Simon there to help us with our poses and just make everything feel natural. After that, I knew we were in good hands for the wedding & I was totally right about that! The pictures came out absolutely perfect & the turn around time was so fast for everything. We had some last minute changes for our portraits and they made it a point of ensuring we got every shot we wanted before they were done for the night. They are the BEST!!!

Wedding was 6/3/23 and I have nothing but positive things to say about Magda and Simon! The included engagement pictures made our jaws drop when we received them and from the sneak peak of our wedding photos we know it will be a repeat experience! We looked like models. Magda and Simon were professional and timely and made friends with some of our guests. We couldn't be happier after working with them.

The most incredible people I have ever met! Their energy as a duo made the day feel effortless and joyful. They had an exceptional ability to find beauty and creativity in the most astonishing places, and I couldn't get enough of their work as a team. Not only were they incredible photographers, but I also found myself drawn to them as friends. If I could give them 10 out of 5 stars I would. Magda and Simon are incredible. They made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. They are genuinely good people and that makes having them around the entire day of your wedding a treat. The day of the wedding can be stressful but with Magda and Simon I don't think we felt an ounce of that because of the ease of which they do their job and run the show. I love that they are married because they are able to actually SHOW you what they want you to do in your poses. Also - we got married on a Friday and they gave us a sneak peak of some of the photos on Monday! They are truly incredible people and they are rockstar photographers. RUN DON'T WALK TO BOOK THEM.

We love Magda and Simon! They are incredible artists and wonderful people to work with. Despite the numerous other clients that they had, they really made us feel special. They went above and beyond during our engagement shoot to capture beautiful photos for us all while making us feel comfortable and at ease. I can't say enough amazing things about Salt and Cedar. Not only did they answer all questions we had quickly and efficiently, they were also super helpful in putting our day of timeline together. My husband doesn't love have his photo taken, so I was a little nervous about how the engagement shoot would go. But Magda and Simon were so easy to work with, and made us both feel so comfortable. My husband told me afterwards that he was so glad we had hired them for the big day and that we had done that shoot with them beforehand. And not only that, but they were willing to come to NYC to shoot our photos in Central Park, which meant so much to us. Then on the wedding day they knocked it out of the park. They are both super sweet and nice people, but obviously knew what they were doing when it came to getting the shots we wanted and commanding large groups which I know is not always easy to do. And of course the most important thing, their photos came out GORGEOUS. As a graphic designer I have worked with many photographers and seen many photo styles, and what really sets their style apart is how airy and dreamy it looks, it is stunning. Trust me, they will give you wedding day photos that you will admire for years to come!

We love Salt and Cedar Photography! We were nervous about getting our pictures taken before our engagement session, but Magda and Simon made us normally camera-shy people feel so at ease in front of a camera and I still can't believe it's us in these beautiful photos! Every email I sent was promptly responded to and they were always available for my questions, no matter how small. They rolled with all the punches during our wedding day, including a last-minute ceremony location change due to rain and organizing 75 people into a big family photo during cocktail hour, which made me feel a lot more relaxed and able to enjoy every moment of the day. We received our wedding photos recently and every single photo was unbelievably gorgeous, I teared up going through them. We love that they captured so many little moments and important details, things that we either never got to see or were a blur during our wedding that we now have forever. Absolutely a DREAM TEAM. We fell in love with Magda the moment we met her. We were able to do an engagement photo session with her this past spring and the photos came back more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. On wedding day she and her team were professional, fun, energized (and she's about to have a baby!!)....we feel so lucky that we found Salt + Cedar, and cannot recommend them enough. Where do I even begin? Booking Salt and Cedar for our wedding photography quite possibly may have been the best wedding decision we made! As a type A bride, I did so much research on photographers and I can confidently say that Salt and Cedar is by far the best! Besides being so talented, Magda and Simon are all around great people! My husband and I were coming in from out of town for our wedding so we didn’t have time for an engagement shoot (and we certainly don’t consider ourselves photogenic). Needless to say, we were a bit nervous about getting good pictures on our wedding day! Magda met up with us for coffee prior to our wedding so we’d feel extra comfortable on the big day! That was above and beyond! On the day of our wedding, they were a joy to have around! They kept us on schedule, kept us feeling calm, and were so helpful! Plus it’s nice to be around a sweet married couple when you’re about to get married! Only 3 days after our wedding, we got tons of sneak peak photos! I was shocked to have gotten them so quickly after the wedding, and I was even more impressed with how gorgeous they turned out! We are so pleased with the photos and the overall experience. I can’t recommend Salt and Cedar any more highly! They are the absolute best!

Our wedding photos were the most important to me and Simon and Magda are amazing! We met the Salt & Cedar team at the Equal Dignity Pop Up Nuptials, where we were married in November 2020. They were fun, friendly, professional and super engaging. We can’t say enough about how wonderful Magda and Simon were; they were incredibly funny, down to earth, personable and have amazing taste. Our wedding pictures are absolutely stunning, with a style that was completely aligned with that of our own. We have received so many wonderful complements on our photos! We were dreading the photo shoot aspect of the wedding. With a hundred things running through our minds and coursing with the nervous adrenalin of the moment the last thing we wanted was to pose in front of a camera and add to our stress. However, the experience was nothing but exceptional and we enjoyed it so much! Simon and Magda were hilarious and fun, were incredibly accommodating to our schedule, and interacted with us in such a fun way that different members of our wedding party kept asking us if we knew them prior to the wedding/ if we were friends. While we didn’t know Magda and Simon before we asked them to capture our big day, we can definitely say we feel like we know them now. When Covid-19 interfered with our plans Magda easily accommodated our changes, even when our plans shifted a few times. Since we adjusted our wedding to be a small intimate ceremony, we are lucky enough to get to work with Magda and Simon again next year at a larger ceremony and reception with all of our friends and family. Thank you so much capturing the happiest day of our lives in such a timelessly elegant and stylistic way, and for making the whole event an incredibly happy and pleasurable experience.

Magda and Simon are the best! They’re so fun to be around and they make you feel comfortable right from the beginning. Magda is super responsive and helpful in the planning process. They have great vision for photographs and are able to find good spots to take pictures on the go as you’re walking around from one location to another. They also have cute ways to get pictures to come out looking natural instead of forced. We had to move our big wedding due to COVID but had a smaller ceremony this year. They were great in helping us reschedule and still continued with taking photos for the smaller ceremony this year. We can’t wait to do it all again with them next year for the big party!

I don't even know where to begin with this dream squad! They made the entire wedding photography process easy from start to finish. Their entire team (we were lucky to have the whole squad show up for our engagement pictures!) is super friendly and down-to-earth, which makes the intimate moments that you want captured feel like you are actually just in the moment with your fiance. They were incredibly patient with our gigantic family and made sure to calmly and efficiently get every picture we wanted during the first half of our cocktail hour (so we still could go enjoy our time saying hello!) Their light and airy look is so incredibly beautiful and looks amazing when printed! They got an engagement sneak peak to us the next day AND we woke up to a wedding sneak peak the morning after our wedding. It has been almost one year since our wedding and they are STILL answering any questions I have and are there for us. I could go on and on!!! You need to hire them immediately, if not sooner!

Magda & Simon traveled to Cancun to shoot our destination wedding & I can't say this enough: BEST. DECISION. EVER. We loved their work so much, that we opted to not utilize the resort's photographer that was included in our package ($1000+ that we were not able to get back) & instead fly them to Cancun to shoot our wedding. I can truly say that I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Their photography truly speaks for itself, but what it doesn't show you is the two awesome people behind the cameras. They're a husband & wife team that works so incredibly well together, & it was so awesome to have our big day captured by two people who so obviously love each other & the work that they do together. I have never encountered such professional, fun, & creative people. They both had a way of making the awkward photos fun and helping me stay calm with all of the wedding stress (for several days, which could not have been easy). All of our family members were so impressed with how quick & easy the family photos were. Something that we all somewhat dreaded was done so efficiently & pain-free, & we didn't have to spend a lot of time away from the wedding guests. We received so many compliments from our guests on their professionalism & talent. Everyone thought we were crazy for spending money on photographers when the resort provided one, but after they met Simon & Magda & saw how our pictures came out, they understood. Our pictures truly look like they came out of a magazine & we're so happy we were fortunate enough to have these two capture our day. The resort even asked their permission to use the photos that they took of the reception space for their website, because they did such an amazing job of capturing how beautiful the venue was. My favorite thing about working with Simon & Magda, however, is how they are so obviously passionate about their work. Once we were well into the reception, we told Magda to put the camera down (she was already working on editing some photos!) & join everyone at the bar/dance floor because she had been working so hard all day, to which she responded that she loved taking photos & editing, & she was "having fun" doing that! We were blown away by how happy she was to be "on the clock" (although we did finally pester her enough into joining us). Simon gladly joined us on the dance floor (with his camera still in hand, of course) and captured some great shots in the middle of the action. They both have such a positive energy & are so fun to be around. These two were hands-down the best decision we could have made for our wedding day. We are forever grateful for the love & hard work that they put into capturing it all. I truly do not think that there are two better photographers out there. It’s hard to put into words how thrilled we are with our wedding photos. Salt and cedar did such an incredible job getting every shot we wanted and catching every moment of our day. They were absolutely amazing with everything from the planning process to the engagement shoot to the wedding and everything in between. S&C was one vendor I leaned on the most when asking for recommendations for day of plans. They were so helpful and willing to help, which is what I think makes a wedding vendor go above and beyond. Booking Salt + Cedar was the best decision we could have made. Wedding planning is STRESSFUL but everything related to our photos and video was the opposite. Magda is so helpful, communicative, and was always prompt and patient in responding to all my questions. Simon, Magda, and Dennis were so easy to work with and made us feel at ease. Our photos were so natural and beautiful we could not have asked for more. They truly went above and beyond.

We worked with all three team members of Salt + Cedar - Simon and Dennis for engagement pictures and Magda and Dennis for wedding pictures. They're extremely fun (we had them on the dance floor with us at one point!), nice, professional, and made us feel very comfortable. There are not enough words to describe how AMAZING the Salt + Cedar Photography team is! From day one, we knew we wanted Magda, Simon, & Dennis to capture our big day in film and video. Not only were they extremely professional, their work is impeccable and they provided quick turnaround for our memories of our big day. Simon and Dennis made us feel comfortable in front of the camera during our engagement shoot and all three did the same on our wedding day. They created the most beautiful and elegant photos for us and we could not be happier. Working with Salt + Cedar for our wedding was an absolute dream! From our first meeting with Magda, Simon and Dennis we immediately felt comfortable and could tell that they were very passionate about what they do. They were so creative and were willing to do whatever it took to get the most beautiful shots - whether it was shooting in a random hay field during our engagement shoot or setting up some lights to get pictures in the snow at night during our reception. They were flexible with our schedules and were honest when our original engagement shoot date was brutally cold/rainy and quickly rescheduled. I really appreciated how Magda worked with me to set up a timeline for the wedding day and they worked super hard to get photos of all of our guests at the reception. Going through our wedding photos, I feel like I am reliving the day all over and I can't help but flipping through them every chance I get! They're absolutely stunning and I'm so grateful to the Salt + Cedar team for capturing these precious moments so beautifully for us, our families and friends to enjoy!

I can’t imagine our wedding day without Magda and Simon. They just hit it out of the park! From the first time I contacted them through photo delivery, they were so responsive, deliberate, and amazing to work with. They are so fun to be around and made us feel comfortable from the beginning of our engagement shoot, so by the time the wedding came around, we were so comfortable and prepared. Magda also responds via email so quickly - sometimes within minutes! It's so appreciated and helpful when you work with someone who cares as much as you do about your wedding. And the photos are just stunning! They're fun, candid, and filled with natural light. We didn't look stiff or weird in any of the photos, and they gave us helpful comments when we needed to do something a little different (like not smoosh our noses together during kiss photos!). Again, I couldn't imagine having more amazing and friendly photographers. We're so happy we found Salt + Cedar!

Salt and Cedar Photography was a joy to work with! I planned my wedding from 700 miles away and Magda was always prompt with a response to any and all questions or concerns. Dennis and Stephanie were prompt, professional, and kept our big day rolling. And despite us running incredibly late on our wedding day, Dennis was able to utilize the time we had to efficiently knock out a bunch of AMAZING & absolutely beautiful photos.
