whimsical and romantic. The studio is located in Ocean City, NJ so they’re familiar with the Sea Isle area and my wedding venue, which was very important to me. I was paired with the photographer Ashley, and she truly made my wedding photo dreams come true. My wedding vision was a bit unconventional: I thrifted and secondhand sourced about 95% of my entire day…from my 1950s wedding dress, getting-ready wardrobe, bridesmaids’ PJs, reception outfit changes, all of my decor, wedding linens, bridesmaids gifts, and much more. I knew I wanted my photos to reflect these pieces of history that I collected in their natural state. And because I had thrifted almost everything, I had a pretty lengthy shot list, but Ashley captured everything, even better than I had imagined. Ashley spent an hour on the phone with us the week before our wedding going over the shot list, making suggestions, which I definitely needed because once decision fatigue sets in as a bride, it’s pretty hard to get yourself out of it. On my wedding day, Ashley was unbelievable. She kept me calm and remembered to take shots that I completely forgot about. In fact, after our first look, my husband and I were on the jitney going over the Townsend Inlet bridge, and the bridge was up because a large boat was going under. As traffic was stopped on the bridge, Ashley jumped out of her car and into our jitney and said “let’s get this shot”. My husband and I got off the jitney and took photos on the bridge that connected our two towns that brought us together: him in Sea Isle and me in Avalon. Unposed and unplanned, this meant everything to me. I actually can’t put into words how much I appreciate that moment, she remembered I wanted to do that, but I knew it wouldn’t be possible. My bridesmaids were on the jitney with us and they said that was the coolest thing a photographer could do. Ashley captured all of my old elements and turned it into a new piece of art that my husband and I will cherish forever.

lute best - so warm and fun to be around, but also so experienced and knowledgeable. The pictures came out stunning and we knew we made the right choice. I used her again for boudoir pictures the summer before our wedding (November 2024). The entire studio is great and has the best chill vibes! They were incredibly experienced and relaxing to have in our presence on wedding day. One quick situation to call out is we ended up forgetting my second dress at the hotel room. We were trying to figure out what we’d do minutes for the ceremony & the second shooter, Mike, ended up leaving during cocktail hour to go back to the hotel and pickup the dress. Incredible above & beyond effort we did not expect, but that is the kind of service they will provide. Every single picture we received is stunning. We will use them for all picture needs in the future!

Ashley was my lead photographer for my wedding on 02/10. She did our engagement shoot as well and we loved every minute of it! On our wedding day she made me feel so comfortable and I actually enjoyed being the center of attention! My husband doesn't love getting his picture taken and even he was smiling. My second shooter was Arianna and she was super personable and great to work with. Both Ashley & Arianna made us feel comfortable and we never felt like our photos were too forced or posed. Liz is hilarious and her personality just totally fit our vibe. We sometimes feel awkward in front of the camera and she made us so comfortable and was just so much fun. Tori was super sweet and we loved her calm energy. Most importantly, our photos are absolutely stunning and exceeded expectations!!

She was so helpful leading up to the big day in making sure she understood exactly the FEELING we wanted, our timeline, and any special shots, etc. that we wanted. The day of, Kelee was on-time, professional, efficient, and so FUN. We were nervous about being awkward in pictures, but she truly made posing effortless and was SO encouraging (we had multiple people comment that she was the best hype woman ever & we agree!) She made great suggestions about different shots, location, lighting, etc. It was a plus that she knew our venue very well too! She also did a great job in managing our large and fairly rowdy bridal party. We stayed on time, got everything we wanted, and had SO MUCH FUN doing it. Kelle – you’re amazing and it is so clear that you love what you do and give your absolute all to your couples – thank you so much! The images themselves were absolutely STUNNING, and we received them so quickly on the easy-to-use portal. I had very vibrant florals and it was important to me for the pictures to be true-to-color, but the Magdalena style is truly timeless – not overedited or blown out – just simply beautiful and of the highest quality. I can’t imagine having a better experience with a photography team. Would highly highly recommend Magdalena Studios to photograph your special event! Thanks again!

When our wedding come around, Ashley and Angelica were incredible. They kept our asks and requests in mind and took the time throughout the day to be mindful to them. cades - said she's the best. Was sold by her photos - love her "clean" style, it's effortless. From the beginning, she was a pleasure to work with. Super professional. Helpful. Very easy-going. From our initial consultation, I knew we'd be in good hands! Magi's pricing is on the higher end compared to many South Jersey photographers (IMO) but with GREAT and completely VALID REASON. You get what you pay for- 100%. And it's an investment - these photos will be around for you to see until you die. (And even after that!) Her associate photographers are also incredible from the work I've seen and they are avaiable to photograph your wedding for a more affordable price. She has a portal that made tracking contract(s), payments seamless. Planning a wedding is insanely busy and hard to keep track of and her check-in emails made it much less stressful from the beginning because we knew if there was something we forgot to mention or do, she'd be in touch. We did not do an engagement shoot (although I likely would have looking back). Wasn't something I was really interested in. So we met Magi and her husband for the first time at our wedding. Not only are they adorable!! But they are true professionals in every sense of the word. Also super laid back while getting the job done. They made us feel really comfortable, never rushed and made taking photos so much fun. We received the preview photos - which were stunning - within like 24-48 hours (?) of the wedding and they were jaw-dropping. Just insane. There really isn't much more to say beyond that I am incredibly happy with my choice to hire Magi. If it's within your budget and you like her style, pull the trigger. She might be booked out til like 2030 at this point anyway. THE BEST.

I found Magi on TheKnot, I went over to her Instagram and loved how beautiful her images were. Light, soft, and romantic-just what we were looking for. We didn't get a chance to meet until our wedding day so we did everything by phone. Magi noticed something in our timeline that we otherwise would have missed that helped rearrange our day and because of that we wound up with gorgeous sunset pictures. Magi and her husband Scott were INCREDIBLE. When Magi came in, I was having a mini freak out about my flowers that were not at all what I had asked for. She immediately went into help mode and even offered to speak to the florist herself. I can say with confidence that not many people, let along your photographer- would do that. I loved her vision of the day and her artistic eye for our pictures. She and Scott not only made us feel comfortable, but everyone else felt comfortable too! We talked and laughed all day. She and Scott stayed longer than planned when I asked for extra hours and were so nice about it. We are so happy with our pictures. They are just what we had envisioned and we are so glad that we chose Magi for our pictures, but were so happy with how sweet both she and her husband are during an emotional rollercoaster of a day! We haven't received our wedding album yet, it's only been two months, but I'd highly recommend couples to do so. You'll receive a lot of images but in my opinion, it would be difficult to make your own album. We chose to have Magi do our album because I trust her eye because this is her expertise. I can't say enough great things about Magi and Scott!
