When my husband and I searched ensembles on the Knot.com we found a lot of choices for trio or quartet for our wedding due to being located in an area with many musicians. (Ann Arbor, MI) We chose to use The Magic Strings Ensemble (trio option) because of how great Yana was to chat with and how long they had been playing together, as well as their extensive repertoire,affordable prices and an excellent website(http://www.themagicstrings.com/) with live samples available. We had them for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Many guests have commented on how touching and personal our ceremony was and I believe having The Magic Strings Ensemble helped make it this way. They learned "A Whole New World" song from Aladdin for the ceremony, which wasn't listed on their site and it was exactly what I hoped it to be. Yana is lovely to work with and they were extremely professional! I would gladly recommend them for any of your wedding ensemble needs. A+++++

We loved working with Yana and the Magic Strings Ensemble. We had the string quartet play at my daughter's and son in law's ceremony and their reception and were amazed with how smooth everything went. Yana and The Magic Strings Quartet worked with me when I requested the quartet learn a new song "Stand by Me" by Ben. E. King for my surprise speech/ toast during the ceremony and it worked well with our venue coordinator too. Music at the ceremony was beautiful and well-conducted - the quartet did not immediately stop playing as soon as the bridesmaids reached their spots, but rather stopped after an appropriate place in the music so it did not sound abrupt like I have seen at other weddings. Overall it was an absolutely unforgettable experience because of the vast repertoire they were able to play. My hat is off to them for playing even through the picture taking process and during our slight delays due to guests arriving late. Highly Recommend. If you need a string quartet, as a father I must say, look no further. This is the quartet for you.
