esponsive to both emails and calls throughout the planning process. They charged us too early with an incorrect guest count and wouldn’t give a refund until we quoted the contract back to them. They then lost the refund in their planning pod system? We didn’t see the money back until weeks after the wedding.
Security - The door was supposedly locked and monitored all night. Somehow, in a one minute lapse of monitoring, a person off the street snuck in, stole thousands of dollars worth of personal items from the bridal suite, and left with no one noticing. Eventually we got camera footage back with timestamps and the venue coordinator was upstairs a minute after the person and didn’t see or hear anything? It could have been possible considering she had AirPods in all night.
When we realized our things were stolen, they didn’t show any concern and were not upfront about having camera footage. The apathetic behavior was rude and unprofessional.
One of my bridesmaids posted a google review about the burglary and Magnolia responded that they are taking this situation seriously. They said they are making real changes to how they protect their space. That’s great. What they haven’t done is work with us to replace any items or resolve the situation. I understand they are not liable for our personal items, but it doesn’t feel right that we are out so much money, on top of what we paid for the venue, due to their negligence. On top of it all, they’ve been unresponsive to our emails. If this is how Magnolia handles serious situations, I find it very concerning.

t to say “I Do” and we really enjoyed have outdoor/indoor capabilities. We had 140 people and the team at Magnolia were able to execute all of our vision for our big day. ng a little smaller & the dates that we were looking at were already booked. We immediately knew when we toured Magnolia at Brookside that we wanted to get married there! We had our ceremony in the outdoor wedding space & it was absolutely beautiful! So many of our guests commented on how much they loved the venue. Deb (the owner) is so sweet & was extremely helpful along the way. She and her team were always available when we had questions & made sure everything was perfect for our day. Everything was flawless day of & we had the absolute best time! I would absolutely recommend checking out Magnolia at Brookside if you are wanting a venue in the city!
