Booking Magnolia Rhapsody was by far the best decision we made during the wedding planning process. One of the most important aspects of our wedding was to have the dance party of the year and man did Beaux and the team deliver! Our guests could not leave the dance floor and had such a wonderful time. More than just a DJ, Beaux’s attention to detail and expertise was absolutely essential to the success of our wedding. During our planning process Beaux met with us several times to go through our timeline and flow of the ceremony/reception. He provided song suggestions when we needed them and even custom mixed a track for one of our dances. We could relax stress free during the day of because we knew the team would keep everything running smoothly and on track! Highly highly recommend Magnolia Rhapsody to bring your wedding/event to life!

I cannot say enough to praise and thank the wonderful people at Magnolia Rhapsody. The folks at our venue, Georgetown Ballroom, recommended them highly, and all it took was one phone call with Beauregard (DJ Gumbeaux) to understand why. Gumbeaux and his wife, Cho, are an absolute power couple in this industry. They were both responsive to emails and made it so easy to share what music we did (and didn’t!) want at the wedding. On the night of the wedding, Beaux and his assistant were wonderful, bringing lights and outdoor speakers that really elevated our small, intimate wedding to a wonderful party. And if Beaux being an amazing DJ wasn’t enough, he’s also just the nicest, most genuine guy. The morning of the wedding, my husband woke up very sick. I arrived at the venue in tears, not completely sure how the evening was going to go, and Gumbeaux helped calm me down and bring me back to earth. Everything worked out in the end, thank goodness. My husband was properly mic’d and all the music cues were perfect, even on a more chaotic timeline than we expected. We're so grateful for everything the team did to make our day truly special.

Called Magnolia Rhapsody after they were recommended by our caterer and spoke with DJ Gumbeaux. Wow, what a nice guy! He said they were fully booked on our wedding date, but he took the time to ask me questions about our vision: what kind of music did we like? Where was the venue/what was the venue like? What kind of vibe were we going for? And once he had an idea of who we were as a couple, he recommended another DJ company that we'd click with. DJ Gumbeaux is a DJ-wedding matchmaking genius and absolutely nailed it! Although I heard amazing things about Magnolia Rhapsody and was at first so bummed that they were unavailable, they still provided excellent service and led us to a DJ that provided an amazing experience. And he followed up to see how our wedding went! That's top-tier customer service!

Absolutely awful. Kicked out a power cable during my wife’s walk down the aisle. Played zero songs on the playlists that they asked us to create. Played almost every song we asked them not to play. Just terrible. Zero accountability for the awful experience either. You can do better. Do not trust these people with your dream wedding day.

DJ Beaux is amazing. He is sooo fun to work with, creative, and as all my guest said knows how to mix music and keep the party going. We would hire him a 1000 times over. He went above and beyond and I truly appreciated it

Hiring Magnolia Rhapsody was one of the best decision we made while planning our wedding! I cannot express in words how great working with DJ Gumbeaux was! He is so talented and you can tell how much he loves his job and just music. He was one of our favorite vendors to work and his knowledge for the overall flow of wedding ceremonies and receptions is so impressive. He helped us so much with our timeline, song recommendations, and gave us such great wedding tips. We met multiple times on Zoom prior to our wedding on 10/22/22. And every meeting was so informative and it was just comforting knowing that our wedding was in such great hands. One of the big things for our wedding we wanted was great music that kept guests on the dance floor and Beaux delivered. I cannot even tell you how many of our guests commented on Beaux and how awesome he was was! Our guests loved his music selections and the dancing never slowed down! We cannot recommend Magnolia Rhapsody and DJ Gumbeaux enough! Seriously they are the BEST!!

We worked with Eli aka DJ Halo for our wedding and he took our inspo playlist and spun it into an epic evening. Besides the fact that the MR team are incredible at what they do (we got lots of compliments on the music throughout dinner and into the dancing) but they also care a ton about all of their couples. Our first meeting with MR (before we had even paid them a cent) they met with us for 2 hours to get a feel for who we are and what would make the perfect wedding playlist for us. On the day, they were super early and helped the day run smoothly. My favorite moment from our reception is when Eli knew the perfect moment to play Dancing on My Own by Robyn and our dance floor erupted. We loved working with the whole MR team and if they are available for your date you should snatch them up!

Hiring Magnolia Rhapsody was the best decision we made throughout the wedding process! Bo spent lots of time with us to create the perfect wedding playlist and to work out fine details. He truly wanted to make sure the music felt like us as a couple. Bo is wildly talented and knows how to read a crowd. He played all of our favorites and everyone was going all night long. His energy and positive vibes are amazing.

The entire Magnolia Rhapsody team took such good care of us. From our pandemic-driven postponement to changing COVID requirements, DJ Beaux helped us navigate contingency plans and alternate scenarios without making us feel like we had to compromise on throwing the reception dance party of our dreams. During our initial meeting with DJ Beaux, we expected to meet with him for 30-45 minutes tops. Fast forward to an hour plus later (!!!) we were enjoying ourselves so much that we were late to our dinner plans. This was the first of many positive interactions and experiences with DJ Beaux over our three years working together. You will be hard pressed to find a more detailed-oriented, hilarious, and talented DJ for your big day. Our guests danced until they dropped, there wasn’t a single dull moment, and we continue to receive countless compliments about our raging dance floor.

An amazing experience! I’m not sure where to start, so let me just say, there’s so much about the wedding experience that feels cliché or like you’re following a standard template. Dresses, colors, chicken or steak, cake, first dance, yada yada yada. That’s NOT the case when it comes to Beaux as your DJ. Beyond being a charming an enthusiastic guy, you can tell right off that bat how much Beaux eats, sleeps, and breaths all things music. His knowledge of music is astounding, and he’s able to use it to curate a personal musical experience for your event. Beaux’s attention to detail is evident in your pre-wedding planning, taking care to understand the type of vibe you’re going for, the type of music that’s going to end up being the musical wallpaper for your cocktail hour, your dinner, and finally the type of music you and your guests are going to groove and embarrass yourself on the dancefloor to. Based on a few meetings and some playlists we shared, Beaux created exactly the sonic experience that we wanted for our wedding. Beyond the wedding experience, Beaux was a self-sufficient and low maintenance vendor, working with our day of planner and other vendors to arrive, get setup, and be efficient all the day around. We can’t recommend Beaux enough, 11 out of 10!!!

Words cannot express how fantastic Beaux and Cho were. I would 1000x hire them again over anyone else. My husband and I have very different tastes in music and Beaux seamlessly curated the evening's playlist. Working with Beaux is like working with a world-class DJ. He was able to edit and cut multiple important songs so that they seamlessly lined up with mother/son, first, ceremony, and first entrance dances. My husband and I met with so many DJ's, and while many of them seemed sufficient, Beaux just blew the freaking roof off. Beaux literally spent 8+ hours, pre-wedding, working in-person to develop our playlist and make sure it was individualized. On TOP of that, he was able to mix my husband's love for show tunes with my love of techno. On top of his phenomenal DJ skills, Beaux is a master of being an Emcee. He truly understands the flow of a wedding and how to facilitate a ceremony & reception. Beaux is originally from New Orleans, which is where the majority of my family is from. He knows how a NoLa wedding is thrown, and he certainly knows how to turn it like a NoLa wedding and get the crowd LIT. Beaux KILLED it. He and Cho are worth every penny and then some. When I think about the vibe Beaux facilitated, it honestly makes me cry. He cared so much for me and my husband. He gave 1000% of himself to make our wedding as special as possible. Beaux, Ian and I thank you so much. The wedding wouldn't have been the same without you. You are truly a honest, relatable, and fantastic individual. Beaux and Cho are absolutely amazing! We were originally scheduled for April of 2020, and of course, had to postpone. They pivoted at each turn with us and always made sure we were doing okay. Beaux really took the time with us to make sure that he had every detail down, including correct pronouns for people, and knew our music preferences. We knew we were in great hands from the beginning, and day of, they really delivered! Our guests -and even my dad - were still talking days later about how amazing they were. Reliable, professional, invested in making your event everything you want it to be, you couldn't ask for better! We can't recommend them enough.

This team is incredible! We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and felt very lucky to have Magnolia Rhapsody's support. They were flexible, understanding and had their finger on the pulse of the ever-changing event regulations. They were so detail-oriented and were able to get everything organized for us and pivot quickly or fill in the blanks when needed. I think our guests would have danced all night if allowed. Magnolia Rhapsody did an AMAZING job at our wedding!! I heard about them from attending another friend’s wedding (which was awesome!) From the very first meeting, Beaux was focused on getting to know us to make our ceremony and reception exactly what we wanted. Throughout the whole process, they answered our every question, eased a whole lot of stress by handling not only the music but coordinating timelines with our officiant and photographers, and threw one rockin party on the dance floor! I would 100% hire them again in a heartbeat!

We hired Magnolia Rhapsody for our wedding on 9/13/20… which got postponed to 9/12/21 due to Covid. So, we spent about 2 years with Beaux and Cho. Our experience with them was top notch. They were always quick to respond, and super organized. Whenever we would meet with Beaux, he would ask us about things that we hadn’t even thought about, and he always got us super excited for the wedding. Definitely a great hype man during the planning process and the wedding itself! Low key wish we could be friends in real life lol, they’re such great people! Beaux has a quality about him that just makes him feel like family, and he went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure we were having a good time. He even checked up on us a few times to make sure we had eaten and were doing okay. The entire planning process and day of were absolutely seamless. We are a little … extra about our music lol. We sent him a playlist with 34 hours worth of music on it! Hahaha but somehow he managed to pick out all the ones we really wanted and it was lit! We didn’t get to hear all the cocktail hour music since we were out taking photos and everything, but we know it was great cuz we got sooo many compliments from our guests! Our experience was really perfect. I literally have nothing negative to say at all. If we ever have a big event or know anyone that is, we will always recommend Magnolia Rhapsody! Beau and the team over at Magnolia Rhapsody were amazing and help set the mood right for our special day on 7/17/21. They worked with us closely to go above and beyond what you'd expect from a vendor. With COVID being a looming presence at our wedding, they worked to show us what it would look like at various phases of the state's reopening and found inventive ways to make it all work out even when rules were sometimes strict. Cho thankfully had her ear to the ground when it came to changes in phases. Ultimately, we lucked out and state regulations were lifted by the time our wedding came around, and we had a blast. They were very tech savvy, setting up Zoom calls and utilizing Spotify to communicate and relay music. They new what details needed to be covered and understood that tone is just as important at times as the music itself. Beau was super friendly to work with and managed to take away stress, which when planning a wedding is extremely appreciated. Every call was enjoyable and made us feel as though we made a good decision at the start. Simply put, Beau and Magnolia Rhapsody were easily one of the best vendors we could have gotten.

Magnolia Rhapsody absolutely killed it with our wedding, and we'd recommend them to anyone! From the very first meeting, DJ Gumbeaux and his wife, Cho, were so enjoyable to work with. During the planning phase, Beaux not only listened carefully to what types of music we listen to, he also made fantastic suggestions and special remixes of songs — it's clear that he knows and understands music at an expert level, from hip hop to rock to pop and everything in between. We absolutely loved our experience with Magnolia Rhapsody! DJ Gambeaux threw an epic party for us and our guests. We got so many compliments from our guests, saying that they haven't been to that fun of a dance party maybe ever. I only have the best things to save about DJ Gumbeaux. Even before we decided to hire him, he took a significant amount of time to first hear and discuss about our plans and ideas for the wedding day. Through the multiple chats we've had, we could tell that he's not just talented and knowledgeable about the music, but cares very much about fully personalizing the design of the day. We started with deciding on specific songs for some of the special ceremony moments (processional, recessional, etc) - some of which we knew what we wanted, and other missing ones he discussed with us to complete the list. For the other various background music, we provided a seed song list on Spotify to just give an idea of the atmosphere we were looking for, and from that he took over and came up with the perfect playlist. He edited our first dance songs. For the dance party, he worked his magic and got everyone - even the elders - to the floor and it was a sight to see. He is also the best MC one could ask for with an amazing voice and was in full control of the events and the room. Overall, he made us feel confident and comfortable before the day and then ran the perfect ceremony + dance party on the wedding day. One can clearly tell he is passionate about what he does and takes pride in getting it exactly right. Plus he's a cool dude with uplifting attitude that we just enjoyed getting to know throughout the whole process. You will see all of this when you have one chat with him so go for it. 5/5, highly recommended!

We had such an amazing time with DJ Beaux, and with their help were able to feel like it was all a big party for us, our family, and our friends (even with the restrictions to make sure we are all COVID safe!). We cannot wait to hold our dance party wedding reception once the restrictions are lifted, and Magnolia Rhapsody will be the first vendor we call when that comes around.

I can't say enough good things about DJ Gumbeaux and the whole Magnolia Rhapsody team. DJ Gumbeaux packed the dance floor with guests of all ages immediately and it stayed that way the entire night. From the early planning stages on, the whole team made sure that everything would be made as easy as possible. DJ Gumbeaux offered suggestions for first dance songs, the order of events, coached our officiant to make sure he felt comfortable with the ceremony, gave a pep talk to my dad before his father of the bride speech, and orchestrated a New Orleans style second line for our grand entrance. Magnolia Rhapsody was an absolute dream to work with.

Magnolia Rhapsody was recommended to us by our wedding venue, Georgetown Ballroom, and holy moly we couldn't be happier with them. Beaux is clearly passionate about his craft and his clients. We were very clear when looking for a DJ that we wanted someone to play good music, have a good attitude and not turn our wedding into a huge spectacle with games, huge intros or line dancing. Magnolia Rhapsody was recommended to us by our wedding planner, Ginger Bee Events & Planning. After our initial meeting with Beaux from MR, we did not consider anyone else to handle the music for our big day. Beaux asked the right questions to get us thinking about what music we wanted (and didn't want), not only for dancing at the reception, but for those special moments (e.g., processional, recessional, cocktail hour, first dance, etc.). Beaux was so reassuring, helpful, and accommodating in creating the right experience for our guests. At Beaux' suggestion, I created several Spotify playlists to cover the various parts of the wedding. Because we booked Magnolia Rhapsody so far in advance (approximately 10 months before the wedding date), this did not feel like an unsurmountable chore. In fact, it was fairly enjoyable, as I was able to jog my memory with songs from my past. I had fairly strong opinions about the genres of music I wanted to hear throughout our wedding day. We had a pre-ceremony cocktail reception where Motown was featured, and a post-ceremony/pre-reception mini-cocktail hour where more chill lovey dovey 70s and 80s music played. Beaux took my expansive playlists and pared them down; his selections were spot on. He finessed my dance playlist which highlighted 80s pop music and contemporary divas, to include those songs that would work to help get people on the dance floor. Beaux did not push us to include a particular type of music or song; he accommodated all of our requests for particular arrangements. On our wedding day, Beaux went out of his way to check-in with us and make sure we were relaxed, calm, and happy with how are day was going. It was such a comfort and unexpected surprise to feel that support from our DJ. In short, if you plan to use a DJ for your wedding (or any special event), book Magnolia Rhapsody to ensure everyone has an absolutely fantastic time! Run, don't walk to hire the Magnolia Rhapsody team today!

The moment my husband and I met Beaux, we knew he was the DJ for us. He is so easy to connect with and extrememly knowledgeable on music. Both Beaux and Cho were attentive and helped guide us during the wedding planning process. All night, guests were raving about the music and how much they loved Beaux. If you can book him for your wedding or event, DO IT!

WHAT TO SAY about the MOST fantastic, fun, down-to-earth Dj and the company ever. I think we got more comments about our DJ than anything else, which for some weddings, the DJ can serve as just the background music, but for us DJ Gumbeaux literally set the tone for the entire night, helped MC and guide the wedding, created the romantic or funny or party mood that we wanted, and I believe he is what made the wedding the best party ever. I literally cannot recommend enough. I heard DJ Gumbeaux the first time at a open house for a swanky wedding venue and literally couldn't stop myself from dancing while I waited in all of the appetizer lines for free food. I KNEW he was the DJ i wanted for my wedding. And then my sister who is a wedding photographer insisted that I look up Magnolia Rhapsody because had just worked a wedding with him and said that he was the best DJ she's ever worked with. So it was a no brainer for us. I still believe our wedding would be completely different and not the "wedding of the century" as my friend who attends all the weddings would say, if it wasn't for these guys! The easiest person to work with, so down to earth, I felt like I was talking to a friend. He helped us pick 90% of our songs, he saw our vision even when we couldn't, and his playlist was completely custom made for us. My favorite memory of the wedding --- my first dance with my boo, everyone having the time of their life, fireworks blasting outside, to an alltime forever favorite song that was US (that the DJ helped us choose). Dancing outside with the sun setting behind us and fireworks blasting while we danced -- this idea was brought up during one of our talks with DJ Gumbeaux. I would say that Magnolia Rhapsody was the best investment we made throughout the entire wedding. It was amazing, and knowing what I know now, I would happily pay double and not as happily pay triple for Magnolia Rhapsody. But I would do it because they're worth it.

My husband and I waffled around for months about whether we wanted to just plug and play our own playlist or hire a DJ, and I can absolutely say we made the right choice to going with a DJ, specifically Beaux (and his lovely, ever helpful assistant/wife Cho). I am very fussy and particular about music and Beaux was more than happy to talk about must plays and do not plays, and he kept our dance floor going longer than I think our guests could keep dancing :) And his MCing! Wow, we are so happy with how he kept the energy going on our big day. We are so glad we chose Beaux and Cho for our DJ, it was one of many great choices that helped us pull off our dream wedding.

Beau & Cho are an awesome husband and wife team. When we first sat down with Beau he really took the time to get to know us as a couple while also telling us about himself and his interesting backstory. We really felt that Beau listened to us and wanted to ensure our day was going to go smoothly. He really made us feel at ease and you could tell that he took an interest in personalizing our playlist and giving us control over the important songs for important moments. He also took control of the event as a whole. He left us feeling confident in transitions and minor details that we didn't have time to think about. Cho provided us with regular check-ins and acted as a reassuring liaison between us & Beau when he was busy. As a bonus - Beau helped my husband figure out how to use his cuff links moments before the ceremony. They really felt like friends in an industry that can sometimes be impersonal. The music at our reception was perfect and the dance floor was busy all night, which was all I could ultimately ask for.

DJ Able and DJ Gumbeaux and Cho are an amazing group to work with! First off - they are hilarious in person. So, huge points from us for that. Second, they are super well organized, easy to work with and really helpful. We loved working with them and they were totally amenable to all of our requests (#1 Rule - Keep people dancing, we don't care about any of the other traditional stuff). DJ Able was our DJ and Nathan assisted on the day. They never felt intrusive but felt really natural the whole day. I'm not even really sure how to describe it. Literally, the only time people stopped dancing was due to a song my wife insisted on playing. They really lived up to their word and we'd recommend them to anyone.

Our wedding was on 8/18/18 . . .I have never written a review about anything. Seriously. But my wife and I were so pleased with our experience that I had to sit down and make sure everybody else knows how awesome DJ Gumbeaux is at Magnolia Rhapsody. We had originally went with another DJ company that had good reviews online. But one day in the Spring, we went to a wedding show and saw this company there and was pretty disappointed with our choice. As we walked around the expo, we saw Magnolia Rhapsody behind the table just killing it. They were having the most fun out of anyone there that day, which is what immediately attracted us to the booth. Two minutes later, we were at a table, just us and Beau, talking about the logistics of the wedding, what his style was, how he does things, etc. Not only is he an awesome DJ, he’s just a down-to-earth super cool dude who understands the wedding business and wants to help make your day more fun than you could imagine. We booked him right there at the show and cancelled the other DJ, forfeiting our initial deposit. And it was so worth it. I can’t say enough about Beau and his wife Cho, who comes with him the night of the wedding and helps out the entire night. In the months leading up to the wedding, we had several facetime talks to discuss what our vision was, what type of music we wanted, etc. Our officiant was a friend of ours who had never done it before, so Beau actually walked us through how a ceremony goes, the processional order, and even reached out to our officiant to coach him on what to do and what not to do. My wife and I didn’t have a firm idea about first dance songs or ceremony songs or really anything. But Beau talked to us through everything, gave us some popular choices, sent us samples, and made the whole process super easy. Our wedding day couldn’t have went smoother. The ceremony music and announcements were spot on. Beau brought his own uplighting for the reception and it made the venue look amazing! Everybody had a blast and danced the whole time. And another bonus with Beau is that he is a natural public speaker and just straight up kills it as an Emcee. There was never a dull pause, never an awkward moment, never a song that came on that people DIDN’T want to just get up and go dance to. I know there’s a lot of DJ options out there. Trust me. We planned our whole wedding and spent hours looking through all the options. But I promise you this. . .you will NOT be disappointed with Magnolia Rhapsody. This was the easiest decision we made in the whole process. Thank you so much Beau and Cho!!

Beaux did such an amazing job at our wedding! After our initial face-to-face meeting we kept in contact via Skype to smooth out our playlist. Beaux took his time to get to know us and work out our music style. In the end, he knocked it out of the park! They put together three different set-ups (ceremony, reception/dinner, and dancing) as well as provided all of the dance floor lighting. Beaux did an excellent job in herding the guests from one location to another and kept the toast people gave short and classy. I didn't expect to dance too much but ended up spending most of the night on the dance floor. I wasn't the only one ensnared by his music - everyone was on the floor from my grade-school cousins to my 80-year-old grandparents! We couldn't have asked for a more personalized experience with Magnolia Rhapsody! Thank you, Beaux, for everything!

I would Highly recommend using this DJ for your upcoming wedding. My wedding planner recommend Beaux and she couldn’t have been more right. If you want people on the dance floor, book him! He took our music suggestions, didn’t allow people to suggest songs that weren’t our style and was so professional! Also, his ability to transition songs together was insane! Do yourself a favor and book him. So glad we did. It made for a perfect wedding day!

He'd been recommended by a friend , so we didn't actually find him on the Knot. We'd met with several other DJs prior to meeting Beaux, including some with five star ratings, and he was the most engaging, professional, and prepared by a long mile. We immediately felt that he'd take care of us in every respect. That never changed. Beaux was always two steps ahead of us, managed his part of our wedding seamlessly. Beyond his superb event management, Beaux is, most importantly, an excellent DJ. He killed it. We've received scores of compliments about him alone, and he deserves them. Honestly, he was one of the best parts of our wedding. Hire him immediately.

Hands down Beaux and Cho are the best duo! They were amazing from the first day we met to the very last second on our wedding day. Highly highly highly recommend!

We had so much fun working with Beaux and Cho! They put together an amazing mix of music that helped everyone feel comfortable, including mixing in some traditional songs from my husband's home country. They were also very kind and accommodating throughout the planning process. Everyone at the wedding had a great time thanks to their music!

Beaux and Cho were AMAZING. I walked out from my first meeting with Beaux and immediately called three other DJs I was supposed to meet to cancel my appointments with them. Magnolia Rhapsody provides so much more than DJ service. They did a wonderful job of helping me lay out our timeline and helping me to decide the things we did and did not want to include in our wedding day. Beaux did a fantastic job of creating a blend of ours and our guests tastes in music. (I have received so many compliments on the music by all different age groups, it's insane!) Beaux and Cho went above and beyond my expectations for the big day. Everything was PERFECT! Thank you Magnolia Rhapsody!

We met Beaux at the Lovesick wedding expo in Seattle. He was super friendly and outgoing, and when we met with him a few months later in person to discuss his Dj services he immediately remembered us. Beaux (DJ) and his wife, Cho (manager) spent a good two hours with us during our initial meeting to figure out our music likes and dislikes, what kind of vibe we were going for, etc. It was during this meeting that we realized that we were going to have a pretty long reception (6-7 hours; 4+ of which would be spent with open dancing). Beaux mentioned that the dancing portion was about twice as long as most weddings, but that he'd be more than happy to keep the party going that whole time. That's exactly what he did. Beaux also met with us for an hour at our venue so he could finalize day-of timelines with us and our coordinator in person, and so he could get a good idea of the layout of the rooms. His attention to detail was exceptional. Our DJ package (which was on the upper end) included pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music (8 hours of DJ service + setup and take down), and a set of 10 uplights (which made the otherwise plain walls of our venue look amazing). Beaux also served as our MC for the night, and he did a wonderful job of that as well. Once the music started, it didn't stop until the reception was over. He blended the tracks wonderfully, and a couple friends of ours who have deejayed on occasion took the time to rave to us about what a great job he did. We are so happy we had Beaux as our DJ. We truly believe he was instrumental in everyone having such a wonderful time at our wedding. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
