We had an intimate wedding (~40) people and the music was always bumping with the family dancing the night away which was exactly what we wanted. He kept the party going infusing all of the musical tastes we threw his way with generational, kpop, country, group dancing you name it. He didn't just kill it during the reception, he MC'd and handled all the cueing for the live strings trio ceremony music, guided guests with instructions on timeline, and handled kicked off the fun during dinner. His fun presence and personality were the vibe we wanted for our wedding and he DELIVERED!

nstead of pushing his services on me, invited me to sit down and take a break and it was so nice and refreshing. I met DJ Beaux again at our wedding venues (Georgetown Ballroom) open house. He remembered me from the wedding show and we really talked about what he could offer and bring to our wedding. I do not regret using Magnolia Rhapsody at all because the whole team was awesome. Cho handled our first few meetings and both her and Beaux were ver organized with the process. Beaux also had an assistant, Koi, at our wedding and he was so helpful and kind. From the moment they arrived at our venue to us saying our goodbyes for the evening the whole process was so smooth and wonderful. We had no audio or visual issues. Koi handled toasts like a champ and overall we had such a fun time. Beaux really pumped up the crowds when appropriate and also did crowd control when needed. I have only positive and wonderful things to say about DJ Beaux, Koi, and Cho along with the whole Magnolia Rhapsody team.

know our experience. Magnolia Rhapsody completely ghosted us and we are still so bothered by this. We had a GREAT initial video call with them, they sent over a contract, we replied with a couple questions, and then… nothing. They just completely stopped responding out of nowhere. We were patient, we wrote again a few other times, we even apologized (even though we did nothing wrong). And they never ever wrote back. I had seen other couples leave similar reviews for Magnolia Rhapsody previously (they mysteriously disappear…), but it seems like we aren’t the only people this company has ghosted. Planning a wedding is SO stressful, especially when it comes to finding a DJ since they can have such an impact on your wedding. For Magnolia Rhapsody to waste our time was completely unprofessional and so frustrating. We had to start the entire DJ interview process over, which takes time and energy, two things you don’t have unlimited amounts of when planning a wedding! We do not recommend Magnolia Rhapsody and we hope other couples save themselves time and avoid the negative and stressful experience we went through.

ne call with Beauregard (DJ Gumbeaux) to understand why. Gumbeaux and his wife, Cho, are an absolute power couple in this industry. They were both responsive to emails and made it so easy to share what music we did (and didn’t!) want at the wedding. On the night of the wedding, Beaux and his assistant were wonderful, bringing lights and outdoor speakers that really elevated our small, intimate wedding to a wonderful party. And if Beaux being an amazing DJ wasn’t enough, he’s also just the nicest, most genuine guy. The morning of the wedding, my husband woke up very sick. I arrived at the venue in tears, not completely sure how the evening was going to go, and Gumbeaux helped calm me down and bring me back to earth. Everything worked out in the end, thank goodness. My husband was properly mic’d and all the music cues were perfect, even on a more chaotic timeline than we expected. We're so grateful for everything the team did to make our day truly special.

And once he had an idea of who we were as a couple, he recommended another DJ company that we'd click with. DJ Gumbeaux is a DJ-wedding matchmaking genius and absolutely nailed it! Although I heard amazing things about Magnolia Rhapsody and was at first so bummed that they were unavailable, they still provided excellent service and led us to a DJ that provided an amazing experience. And he followed up to see how our wedding went! That's top-tier customer service!

u can tell how much he loves his job and just music. He was one of our favorite vendors to work and his knowledge for the overall flow of wedding ceremonies and receptions is so impressive. He helped us so much with our timeline, song recommendations, and gave us such great wedding tips. We met multiple times on Zoom prior to our wedding on 10/22/22. And every meeting was so informative and it was just comforting knowing that our wedding was in such great hands. One of the big things for our wedding we wanted was great music that kept guests on the dance floor and Beaux delivered. I cannot even tell you how many of our guests commented on Beaux and how awesome he was was! Our guests loved his music selections and the dancing never slowed down! We cannot recommend Magnolia Rhapsody and DJ Gumbeaux enough! Seriously they are the BEST!!

During our initial meeting with DJ Beaux, we expected to meet with him for 30-45 minutes tops. Fast forward to an hour plus later (!!!) we were enjoying ourselves so much that we were late to our dinner plans. This was the first of many positive interactions and experiences with DJ Beaux over our three years working together. You will be hard pressed to find a more detailed-oriented, hilarious, and talented DJ for your big day. Our guests danced until they dropped, there wasn’t a single dull moment, and we continue to receive countless compliments about our raging dance floor.

Dresses, colors, chicken or steak, cake, first dance, yada yada yada. That’s NOT the case when it comes to Beaux as your DJ. Beyond being a charming an enthusiastic guy, you can tell right off that bat how much Beaux eats, sleeps, and breaths all things music. His knowledge of music is astounding, and he’s able to use it to curate a personal musical experience for your event. Beaux’s attention to detail is evident in your pre-wedding planning, taking care to understand the type of vibe you’re going for, the type of music that’s going to end up being the musical wallpaper for your cocktail hour, your dinner, and finally the type of music you and your guests are going to groove and embarrass yourself on the dancefloor to. Based on a few meetings and some playlists we shared, Beaux created exactly the sonic experience that we wanted for our wedding. Beyond the wedding experience, Beaux was a self-sufficient and low maintenance vendor, working with our day of planner and other vendors to arrive, get setup, and be efficient all the day around. We can’t recommend Beaux enough, 11 out of 10!!!

urated the evening's playlist. Working with Beaux is like working with a world-class DJ. He was able to edit and cut multiple important songs so that they seamlessly lined up with mother/son, first, ceremony, and first entrance dances. My husband and I met with so many DJ's, and while many of them seemed sufficient, Beaux just blew the freaking roof off. Beaux literally spent 8+ hours, pre-wedding, working in-person to develop our playlist and make sure it was individualized. On TOP of that, he was able to mix my husband's love for show tunes with my love of techno. On top of his phenomenal DJ skills, Beaux is a master of being an Emcee. He truly understands the flow of a wedding and how to facilitate a ceremony & reception. Beaux is originally from New Orleans, which is where the majority of my family is from. He knows how a NoLa wedding is thrown, and he certainly knows how to turn it like a NoLa wedding and get the crowd LIT. Beaux KILLED it. He and Cho are worth every penny and then some. When I think about the vibe Beaux facilitated, it honestly makes me cry. He cared so much for me and my husband. He gave 1000% of himself to make our wedding as special as possible. Beaux, Ian and I thank you so much. The wedding wouldn't have been the same without you. You are truly a honest, relatable, and fantastic individual. We knew we were in great hands from the beginning, and day of, they really delivered! Our guests -and even my dad - were still talking days later about how amazing they were. Our experience was really perfect. I literally have nothing negative to say at all. If we ever have a big event or know anyone that is, we will always recommend Magnolia Rhapsody! With COVID being a looming presence at our wedding, they worked to show us what it would look like at various phases of the state's reopening and found inventive ways to make it all work out even when rules were sometimes strict. Cho thankfully had her ear to the ground when it came to changes in phases. Ultimately, we lucked out and state regulations were lifted by the time our wedding came around, and we had a blast. They were very tech savvy, setting up Zoom calls and utilizing Spotify to communicate and relay music. They new what details needed to be covered and understood that tone is just as important at times as the music itself. Beau was super friendly to work with and managed to take away stress, which when planning a wedding is extremely appreciated. Every call was enjoyable and made us feel as though we made a good decision at the start. Simply put, Beau and Magnolia Rhapsody were easily one of the best vendors we could have gotten.

We were so grateful for his enthusiasm and general-wedding-knowledge while we were planning the wedding. Not having to be concerned or worried about music during the wedding is invaluable, and we were able to do that because DJ Gambeaux was on our team. Through the multiple chats we've had, we could tell that he's not just talented and knowledgeable about the music, but cares very much about fully personalizing the design of the day. We started with deciding on specific songs for some of the special ceremony moments (processional, recessional, etc) - some of which we knew what we wanted, and other missing ones he discussed with us to complete the list. For the other various background music, we provided a seed song list on Spotify to just give an idea of the atmosphere we were looking for, and from that he took over and came up with the perfect playlist. He edited our first dance songs. For the dance party, he worked his magic and got everyone - even the elders - to the floor and it was a sight to see. He is also the best MC one could ask for with an amazing voice and was in full control of the events and the room. Overall, he made us feel confident and comfortable before the day and then ran the perfect ceremony + dance party on the wedding day. One can clearly tell he is passionate about what he does and takes pride in getting it exactly right. Plus he's a cool dude with uplifting attitude that we just enjoyed getting to know throughout the whole process. You will see all of this when you have one chat with him so go for it. 5/5, highly recommended!

DJ Gumbeaux offered suggestions for first dance songs, the order of events, coached our officiant to make sure he felt comfortable with the ceremony, gave a pep talk to my dad before his father of the bride speech, and orchestrated a New Orleans style second line for our grand entrance. Magnolia Rhapsody was an absolute dream to work with.

At Beaux' suggestion, I created several Spotify playlists to cover the various parts of the wedding. Because we booked Magnolia Rhapsody so far in advance (approximately 10 months before the wedding date), this did not feel like an unsurmountable chore. In fact, it was fairly enjoyable, as I was able to jog my memory with songs from my past. I had fairly strong opinions about the genres of music I wanted to hear throughout our wedding day. We had a pre-ceremony cocktail reception where Motown was featured, and a post-ceremony/pre-reception mini-cocktail hour where more chill lovey dovey 70s and 80s music played. Beaux took my expansive playlists and pared them down; his selections were spot on. He finessed my dance playlist which highlighted 80s pop music and contemporary divas, to include those songs that would work to help get people on the dance floor. Beaux did not push us to include a particular type of music or song; he accommodated all of our requests for particular arrangements. On our wedding day, Beaux went out of his way to check-in with us and make sure we were relaxed, calm, and happy with how are day was going. It was such a comfort and unexpected surprise to feel that support from our DJ. In short, if you plan to use a DJ for your wedding (or any special event), book Magnolia Rhapsody to ensure everyone has an absolutely fantastic time! I literally cannot recommend enough. I heard DJ Gumbeaux the first time at a open house for a swanky wedding venue and literally couldn't stop myself from dancing while I waited in all of the appetizer lines for free food. I KNEW he was the DJ i wanted for my wedding. And then my sister who is a wedding photographer insisted that I look up Magnolia Rhapsody because had just worked a wedding with him and said that he was the best DJ she's ever worked with. So it was a no brainer for us. I still believe our wedding would be completely different and not the "wedding of the century" as my friend who attends all the weddings would say, if it wasn't for these guys! The easiest person to work with, so down to earth, I felt like I was talking to a friend. He helped us pick 90% of our songs, he saw our vision even when we couldn't, and his playlist was completely custom made for us. My favorite memory of the wedding --- my first dance with my boo, everyone having the time of their life, fireworks blasting outside, to an alltime forever favorite song that was US (that the DJ helped us choose). Dancing outside with the sun setting behind us and fireworks blasting while we danced -- this idea was brought up during one of our talks with DJ Gumbeaux. I would say that Magnolia Rhapsody was the best investment we made throughout the entire wedding. It was amazing, and knowing what I know now, I would happily pay double and not as happily pay triple for Magnolia Rhapsody. But I would do it because they're worth it.

I am very fussy and particular about music and Beaux was more than happy to talk about must plays and do not plays, and he kept our dance floor going longer than I think our guests could keep dancing :) And his MCing! Wow, we are so happy with how he kept the energy going on our big day. We are so glad we chose Beaux and Cho for our DJ, it was one of many great choices that helped us pull off our dream wedding.

interesting backstory. We really felt that Beau listened to us and wanted to ensure our day was going to go smoothly. He really made us feel at ease and you could tell that he took an interest in personalizing our playlist and giving us control over the important songs for important moments. He also took control of the event as a whole. He left us feeling confident in transitions and minor details that we didn't have time to think about. Cho provided us with regular check-ins and acted as a reassuring liaison between us & Beau when he was busy. As a bonus - Beau helped my husband figure out how to use his cuff links moments before the ceremony. They really felt like friends in an industry that can sometimes be impersonal. The music at our reception was perfect and the dance floor was busy all night, which was all I could ultimately ask for.

We loved working with them and they were totally amenable to all of our requests (#1 Rule - Keep people dancing, we don't care about any of the other traditional stuff). DJ Able was our DJ and Nathan assisted on the day. They never felt intrusive but felt really natural the whole day. I'm not even really sure how to describe it. Literally, the only time people stopped dancing was due to a song my wife insisted on playing. They really lived up to their word and we'd recommend them to anyone.

everybody else knows how awesome DJ Gumbeaux is at Magnolia Rhapsody. We had originally went with another DJ company that had good reviews online. But one day in the Spring, we went to a wedding show and saw this company there and was pretty disappointed with our choice. As we walked around the expo, we saw Magnolia Rhapsody behind the table just killing it. They were having the most fun out of anyone there that day, which is what immediately attracted us to the booth. Two minutes later, we were at a table, just us and Beau, talking about the logistics of the wedding, what his style was, how he does things, etc. Not only is he an awesome DJ, he’s just a down-to-earth super cool dude who understands the wedding business and wants to help make your day more fun than you could imagine. We booked him right there at the show and cancelled the other DJ, forfeiting our initial deposit. And it was so worth it. I can’t say enough about Beau and his wife Cho, who comes with him the night of the wedding and helps out the entire night. In the months leading up to the wedding, we had several facetime talks to discuss what our vision was, what type of music we wanted, etc. Our officiant was a friend of ours who had never done it before, so Beau actually walked us through how a ceremony goes, the processional order, and even reached out to our officiant to coach him on what to do and what not to do. My wife and I didn’t have a firm idea about first dance songs or ceremony songs or really anything. But Beau talked to us through everything, gave us some popular choices, sent us samples, and made the whole process super easy. Our wedding day couldn’t have went smoother. The ceremony music and announcements were spot on. Beau brought his own uplighting for the reception and it made the venue look amazing! Everybody had a blast and danced the whole time. And another bonus with Beau is that he is a natural public speaker and just straight up kills it as an Emcee. There was never a dull pause, never an awkward moment, never a song that came on that people DIDN’T want to just get up and go dance to. I know there’s a lot of DJ options out there. Trust me. We planned our whole wedding and spent hours looking through all the options. But I promise you this. . .you will NOT be disappointed with Magnolia Rhapsody. This was the easiest decision we made in the whole process. Thank you so much Beau and Cho!!

I wasn't the only one ensnared by his music - everyone was on the floor from my grade-school cousins to my 80-year-old grandparents!
