Hi, I’m Mailey. I’m originally from Wisconsin and now live in Virginia. I have a BFA from George Mason University with a focus in costume, hair, and makeup design. I spent the last three years in New York City working on Broadway and in film and television. My projects included The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman, Younger starring Hillary Duff, and A Bronx Tale directed by Robert De Niro. Because of my training and industry experience, I’m uniquely suited to handle the challenges of any wedding day. Complications often occur on the big day, and they must be handled proficiently whether they are in the form of accelerated time lines, bad weather, or last minute wardrobe adjustments. You get one shot at looking your best for your wedding. The stakes couldn’t be higher. I’ve personally worked over eighty weddings and ensured that each bride and bridesmaid was absolutely glamorous. Mailey was very professional, generous & great at time management! She was personable taking the time to listen to my style wants & needs. Mailey even reached out after my trial to make sure all was still in place & if we needed to make any changes. overall a great experience!

I planned hair and makeup for 11 people at a destination wedding in Richmond, Virginia. Mailey was extremely responsive and helpful in planning this and in doing run-throughs with the bride. The day of, she arrived with two other stylists on time and ready to go, and was able to keep us all on track time-wise while giving everyone the attention they needed. At the end, I had 11 very happy (and beautiful) women. Thank you so much!!

Mailey was the absolute best decision for my wedding day beauty. She was flexible with planning a last minute makeup trial the week of the wedding. And she was skilled and comfortable doing perfect and natural hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids, all of whom have different skin colors/tones and hair textures. If you’re looking for a beauty artist to do natural makeup and highlight your own features, while still feeling like yourself, Mailey is your gal!

Mailey is a tremendously talented hair and makeup artist and a fantastic person to work with! She is communicative, down to earth, and respectful of everyone's wishes. She is able to draw out the natural beauty of all her clients and makes everyone feel like they are the star of the show. She was incredibly flexible with styles, trial dates, and feedback, and made sure to provide touch ups for everyone before heading to the ceremony. She even worked with my florist to provide last minute hair flowers that made me feel like a woodland fairy princess. Mailey and her assistant Camilla are a phenomenal pair and I would recommend them to ANYONE!

I knew I wanted Mailey to do my bridal look as soon as I saw her previous work, and the Mai Glamour team made me and my bridal party look stunning on my wedding day! Mailey requested photos of my desired style before my bridal trial and worked with me to make my look flawless. I wanted a low updo and a elegant natural look that enhanced my features while still making me look like me - Mailey nailed it! I appreciated that Mai Glamour had the skills and supplies to do makeup on different skin tones to cover the multiple races in my bridal party.

Mailey is a very skilled makeup and hair artist! My wedding party had a variety of comfort levels with makeup products, and I had undefined yet very specific ideas of how I wanted my makeup to look. Mailey took it all in stride and made sure everyone was comfortable with/and loved their looks! We had a very tight schedule, and she delivered everyone on time and never seemed flustered or in a rush, which made for a much more pleasant getting-ready experience. I’d recommend Mailey to anyone needing their makeup or hair done for an event!

Mailey was amazing! I really wanted someone who could do both hair and makeup and Mailey blew me away! She did everyone’s hair with time to spare and my makeup was flawless. My mom is hesitant about letting people style her hair and was intending on having her makeup done. After seeing mine and three of the bridesmaids, she decided to have her done and loved it. Mailey is so personable and easy to talk to. We loved having her as a part of our day!

I loved Mailey’s make up and hair work. She did my hair and make up for both my engagement photos and my wedding and I felt absolutely beautiful! I don’t normally wear make up so I was a little nervous getting my make up done but my make up looked beautiful and photographed well! I was also nervous about getting my hair done because I have thicker, wavy hair but it came it great! Mailey was so nice and easy to work with and the pricing of a the services was very reasonable.

If you want to look and feel like a movie star for your wedding day or special event, look no further than Mailey! She styled my makeup and hair for both our engagement photo shoot and our wedding day and I couldn't have been happier. I don't wear makeup frequently, and especially not full coverage makeup, but she made me feel so beautiful while still looking like myself. She asked tons of questions so she could craft the perfect look for what I had in mind and made it even better than I could have ever imagined. Mailey was more than willing to do multiple trials with me throughout my dress alteration process until we narrowed the exact look that would be perfect for the aesthetic of my dress and my Matron of Honor and mother loved their looks as well. I felt like an absolute princess the entire day thanks to your beautiful work, thank you!

Amazing! I cannot even begin to say how easy Mailey is to work with and how easy going she is. All of my girls looked absolutely stunning thanks to her. She even did half of the girls makeup at the hotel and half at the venue to save us time. Hiring Mai Glamour was such a fantastic part of our wedding day, she truly did a wonderful job and I am thrilled with how beautiful everyone looked on our big day!

She was very easy to work with and helped me pick a style that matched my natural features. I loved my hair and makeup on my wedding day and I felt absolutely beautiful. She was very easy to work with while we were rescheduling our wedding due to COVID. I had bridal hair & makeup, bridesmaids hair & makeup, and MOB/MOG hair scheduled with her. HOWEVER, the MOB wanted her makeup done last minute and she made that work! She gave us a helpful schedule for the morning of, left plenty of time for touch ups, plus the quality of her makeup products was amazing. Makeup and hair lasted through the whole reception. Very good price for her services, as well. Could not recommend enough!! Thanks Mailey :)

My wedding was on the same day as the Richmond Marathon (so think road closures, delays, and hundreds of runners in the streets) and Mailey was EARLY to start on our makeup. On her own, she did the hair and makeup for six of us and finished with time to spare. Her punctuality and personality--she's so much engaging and easy to be around--made my day fun and stress-free. If you're looking for a makeup artist who will listen to all of your needs and make you look like a movie star, I highly recommend Mailey.

Mailey did my hair and makeup for a boudoir photo shoot. It was old world glamor at its finest. The makeup at first seemed understated, but she knew exactly what she was doing. The photos turned out absolutely gorgeous. The makeup looked even better on camera! I highly recommend her.

I have honestly never felt more beautiful than when Mailey did my bridal hair and makeup. After our trial, I don’t think I stressed for a second about the way that I would look on my wedding day. She brought such good energy with her and she was a delight to have around. She gave me a naturally glamorous look (so I still looked like me, but better), and my curled hair (and extensions) lasted all night, and well into the morning! I would 100% recommend her to anyone who wants to sit with a kind, professional hair and makeup artist, and know that they’re truly going to look their best.

Mailey is the best! She's done my hair and makeup many times and I can't imagine anyone else doing my hair and makeup for my wedding! She can do anything with your hair. It's really quite amazing and shes fun!
