Karen and the Mai Oui Team were a joy to work with! The food was great and the staff was very professional! They accommodated some last minute changes and made sure that we didn’t stress about anything . Would definitely recommend Karen and MaiOui!

The moment we talked to Karen on the phone, we knew Mai Oui! was the perfect fit for out wedding. All of our guests raved about how good the appetizers, dinner and desserts were. Even our wedding leftovers the next day were delicious! Karen really went above and beyond for us. The buffet table was decorated to match our wedding theme, the staff was quick to clear plates and glasses, and the food even looked beautiful. We changed our minds on a meat option a couple of times and Mai Oui! was so accommodating. They can make just about anything you request! We wish we could eat our wedding dinner all over again!

Mai Oui was positively amazing to work with for my wedding and Ericka was a dream in food design and flavors! There were 3 most important things for the wedding - that my husband showed up, that we had an amazing photographer, and that everyone loved the food. Mai Oui ensured that third one was absolutely met. Ericka helped me design the perfect menu and adjusted it as needed to meet our headcount, food allergies, and even whim changes. Variety was so important to me and, as was making sure there was food everyone would like. I demanded no sit down restrictions of chicken, beef, and pasta but neither did I want a buffet with long lines. Ericka struck the perfect balance with food stations - each station was different, the lines were nonexistent, and each station provided its own variety of flavors and customizableness. The happy hour had passed food and I was only sad I couldn't crash it for all the yum. And then! Ericka ensured that we had samples to try at our table, as well as plated and brought us our preferred selections of foods from the stations. What? I got to eat at my own wedding? Unheard of. Truly, she made the process so easy, the food was so amazing to eat, and she and her staff absolutely nailed the event with their attentiveness, kindness, (and firm direction, my family is kind of like herding cats). I cannot speak highly enough of the tastiness, the professionalism on site, the insight to flavors, options, everything, just everything was amazing. Truly, she is a benchmark for all future catering I might experience now that I know how good catered food can really be at a wedding. If you haven't yet, call and book, she will absolutely help create part of that core happy memory for your event of just how good the food is.

Mai Oui came highly recommended by our wedding planner and I am so glad we listened to her! We had 190 people at our wedding, which is not an easy number. Our food was absolutely incredible. After our wedding, people kept complimenting our food and how it was not just regular, bland wedding food. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. If you decide to use Mai Oui, the cheese grits are a MUST! Thank you for ensuring we had great wedding food! Becca and Eric

I’m just going to start off by saying that Karen and all of the staff at Mai Oui are the most “catering” group of people in this industry I have ever met. Karen answered all our crazy emails and text messages (that I will say we’re sometimes daily) without hesitation. She changed our menu requests time and time again and made sure we had everything we could have wanted within our budget. Not only that, but the food was amazing, as was the service. I would recommend this company tenfold. They made our wedding experience amazing and handled our wants and needs with ease and positivity. 10/10 would use them for any catering needs we have!

Where do I even begin?! We got married on 2.9.22 at the Treasury on the Plaza in St. Augustine. Ericka is literally one of the nicest and sweetest people we had come across during our wedding planning. We knew that we wanted the food at our wedding to be unique and to stand out and Mai Oui did not disappoint. We must have sent over 100 emails to Ericka about what we wanted at our wedding and the Mai Oui team came up with the most unique and innovative food offerings we had ever seen at a wedding. From Mexican street corn lollipops during cocktail hour to herb butter candles set out on the tables for dinner to a late night snack poutine bar; Mai Oui went above and beyond to ensure that our food was amazing and something that people would talk about. We can't say enough amazing things about Ericka, Mai Oui, and the entire team that served our wedding. We are still talking about the food and it's almost a month later!

I can not begin to tell you how much I love Karen and Mai Oui!!! She is not only a talented caterer who is professional, accommodating, creative, and attentive, but she is also a rare and wonderful person. We did a cocktail style reception with action stations, and Karen and her team created the most DELICIOUS and fun food that our guests couldn’t stop raving about. We are from NY and we wanted our food to be special and diverse, and Mai Oui totally knocked it out of the park. Not only that, but the owner Karen was an absolute dream to work with. My favorite vendor. Do not hesitate, you will not regret Mai Oui for your special day! Thank you Karen we love you!

Mai Oui, and specifically Ericka, were absolutely incredible! From the very first meeting/tasting, Ericka was catering to our every need and shaping each menu (cocktail hour, reception, late night) to our very specific requests. They were amazing and accommodating, but most importantly the food was second to none! All of our guests were raving, and we would not hesitate to pick Mai Oui for any and all future catering needs.

From the tasting to the day of the wedding, we have been very happy with Mai Oui! and the rest of the team. Wedding planning can be an overwhelming process but Ericka helped guide us in our choices which was very helpful! All the guests enjoyed their meals and our only regret was that we didn't have a chance to eat more!

Mai Oui was AMAZING!!! We worked with Karen from the beginning and I cannot say enough about how incredible she is. She is the only caterer when I was looking for pricing that called me and asked about my vision for the day, what we like/don't like, and tried to learn about us before putting together a menu. She crafted a beautiful menu and worked with us through a few revisions. All of this was prior to the tasting which sealed the deal. At the tasting Karen had such a cute set up and we brought our maid of honor and two best men to help us decide. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! It was such an easy decision to sign the contract that day. After that, we fine tuned the menu and Karen helped with finding the perfect linens. She then came to our final walkthrough at the Treasury on the Plaza in St. Augustine to make sure everything was all set. We had a lot of changes leading up the wedding with COVID, and she was great and working with us. Then we finally got to cocktail hour to have those delicious appetizers again, and they did not disappoint! They had put a plate with at least 2 of each appetizer for my husband and I to have. Our guests loved the appetizers, but especially the Braised Chipotle Short Rib Tacos! We did a salad cart service which worked out great with our buffet. The food was SOOOOOO GOOOOOD, exactly what we needed! At the end of the night Mai Oui packed us a little basket of goodies for us to share on our mini-moon. It was so cute! Everything seemed to flow very well, and everyone had plenty of food. Thank you so much Karen and everyone else at Mai Oui for an amazing experience!

Mai Oui exceeded our expectations throughout the entire wedding process! Our food selection was incredibly important to us and we searched high and low.. and then we found Mai Oui. Ericka Y is the best catering manager out there! She answered my one million emails promptly and kindly and she made the entire planning process so easy on me. Not to mention that on our wedding day, she had so many special touches for us. She deserves 100 stars!

We are SOOOO glad we found Mai Oui Catering. The first caterer we did a tasting with was kind of a horrific experience, so we decided to keep looking. We had our tasting with Mai Oui, and were absolutely blown away. The way the plates were prepared, from aesthetics to taste, were complete perfection. We didn’t ask to change a single thing. We developed a relationship with Ericka, who is just hands down an amazing human, who exudes hospitality and passion for what she does. Ericka is organized, has an amazing attention to detail, and it made us completely calm knowing she was there for us on our wedding day. Part of us expected the food to not be as amazing as it was at our tasting on our wedding day, because they were going from feeding just the 2 of us, to feeding 120 people. We couldn’t have been more wrong. I have had tons of our guests STILL talking about the food, 5 months later. The service staff was so professional, and amazing. They coordinated the tables, stations, pre-bused, and waited on my wife and I perfectly. Our glasses were never empty, our plates full with whatever we desired. They even brought us out appetizers during cocktail hour that we couldn’t attend, due to picture taking. Ericka and Mai Oui literally went above and beyond what we expected, required, or requested. And we both have very high expectations, with us both being in the hospitality industry. This is a 5 star catering team, that we just sincerely feel lucky to have had a part of our day.

Mai Oui did such a fantastic job during our wedding at the Jacksonville Main Library. From the beginning, the communication with Karen was open and clear and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. There is a charge for the tasting, but it is waived upon booking with them. The food both at the tasting and the actual wedding was wonderful! Staff who passed out appetizers recognized the need to ensure they were offered to guests far away from where they were coming from. During dinner, the staff was very attentive to our needs and the needs of our families, and Karen especially made sure that my husband and I were able to sit down and actually eat! Karen and her staff were also excited to be able to accommodate a custom dessert bar (halo-halo bar, traditional Filipino dessert). My husband and I provided all the ingredients and Karen even made a mock setup for us to ensure it was exactly how we wanted it. They were able to set it up and execute and it was a huge hit! Overall, we would highly recommend!

We hired Mai Oui to cater our 200 person wedding at the River House. Karen really worked with us to make sure the menu fit our tastes and that the service of the food was delivered in a timely and easy manner. We opted to do a plated duo meal as a buffet would have been too hectic with 200 guests. The food was just as good at the tasting as it was on the big day. My husband is Greek so Karen made sure to have some spanakopita as a passed hors’ devours. I had many people tell me “you won’t get to eat on your wedding day”, Karen made sure that that did not happen. Before our pictures started, she brought us some appetizers and water. When it was time for dinner she made sure we were served first. Karen also provided us with a basket of wine (wine glasses included), snacks, two servings of dinner and cake to take with us for our wedding night. Mai Oui completely blew us away with their fantastic service!

I can not say enough great things about the Mai Oui team. Karen and her team were more than I could have ever asked for, for our big day. The service was outstanding and the food was incredible. If I could give them 100 stars I would. Karen was also our day of coordinator and the weeks prior and day of could not have run any smoother. Having her there made me the easiest most laid back bride just knowing everything was taken care of. She kept me calm, cool, and collected. When my husband and I got into our getaway car there was wine, wedding cake and two dinners to take back with us. Thank you Karen for all you have done!

Karen and her team at Mai Oui! provided a fabulous dinner for our wedding. I don’t believe we heard a bad comment from any of our guests. We even had a few say they will start using them for parties they are throwing. Their food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. It was wonderful not having to stress about this portion of the wedding.

Where do I begin?! Mai Oui was one of the best choices we could have made for our wedding day. The food was the most delicious food and was not typical bland wedding food, it had flavor, pizazz and was beautifully presented. Everything was wonderful from the antipasto station to passed hors d'oeuvres and plated dinner service. Karen went above and beyond for us and even came the day before to help set up. Karen acted almost like a day of coordinator as she helped with wedding time-line, attended our 30 day walk through at our venue, and made sure that my husband and I always had everything we wanted. She even packed up hearty meals for us so we could eat later on that night as we got to pick on our food here and there during the night. Also, she surprised us by packing us a nice basket with wine, wine glasses, and little snack items with yummy chocolate truffles as a nice little gift. Karen has a very professional operation and everything went smoothly. She always communicated with us regarding what we wanted and she clearly understood as everything was superb! I highly suggest that any engaged couple call up Mai Oui and I truly believe that you will not be disappointed regardless of what you want for your special day!

Food was one of the most important aspects to us for our wedding. We deem ourselves foodies. Right off the bat we kicked it off with Karen at Mai Oui. Karen embraced our idea of having common foods with a twist. Even weeks leading up to the wedding we kept in close contact with Karen. She even allowed us another tasting when we decided to change one of our entrees. We rented all our linens through Mai Oui and Karen allowed us to bring our homemade centerpieces over to do a mock up on linens before we committed. It's been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about how they loved and are craving Mai Oui's shrimp and grits. Guest equally raved about the chicken and waffles late night snack we had. Chrissy also did a great job in assuring everything was running smooth on the day of. The servers that night were very attentive. I definitely got to eat on my wedding day, hubby had seconds, and enjoyed every bit of it. There was only one glitch that happened with one of our entrees, but within days after our wedding the situation was rectified. As George Bernard Shaw said “Success does not consist in never making mistakes but in never making the same one a second time.” I would highly recommend Mai Oui Gourmet Catering the food and service were phenomenal. I would defiantly book them again.

I met w/ Karen and she helped me design our wedding menu. My husband and I wanted to have a relaxed atmosphere, so we decided to go w/ a ton of passed apps. Two weeks before we were to be married, our venue was canceled (Palm Valley Garens). We were able to rebook somewhere else. Karen and Chrissy really went above and beyond their duties. They kept me calm. Provided us w/ multiple things that were lost in the contract w/ PVG. They even took some great photos of my dad and I. I definitely reccomend Mai Oui!!!! And their pear, bacon and brie grill cheese is amazing!

Everyone at Mai Oui was extremely helpful- from the first day we walked in to discuss catering all the way through the wedding day! We were planning a wedding from out of town and Karen was also very helpful- with menu suggestions, answering my crazy questions, and communicating through email in a timely manner. On the day of our site visit (four days before our wedding!) Karen and her staff had great ideas to help turn my vision into a reality. On the day of our wedding Ashley made sure everything went smoothly by communicating with other vendors, setting up everything, and even bringing the bride and groom full dinner plates. The food was delicious! Best crab cakes I ever had, and the dinner was amazing. The special touch that I loved was when we went to leave at the end of the night, we found a basket from them in the car with goodies we could take to the hotel. Mai Oui completely exceeded all of our expectations! They definitely go above and beyond to make your event special!

Our best vendor!!! From our first meeting with the Mai Oui team up until the wedding day, Karen, Jeff, and the gang have bent over backwards for us to ensure that our wedding was everything we hoped it would be. And it was thanks to them! It was slightly difficult to choose a menu, because their menu choices were so vast and flexible for all budgets and tastes! But they helped us focus to choose a menu that would satisfy us and all of our guests with the special food preferences everyone had. They even helped us plan aspects of the wedding that were not related to the catering – they ensured that their services would complement the entire event. And Mai Oui provides their own florals and décor for the food & beverage stations. Everything was fantastic and they worked closely with me to ensure that their décor would complement the other florals and décor provided by the florist. Finally, the catering staff at the event was extraordinary! Very professional! I would highly recommend Mai Oui Gourmet to anyone that is planning a wedding. And I will definitely be using them for any other event that I may have in the future! Thanks, guys!

This caterer is a dream to work with! They are super detail savvy to blend seamlessly to your wedding theme. They go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met and become a part of your 'vision'. The food is amazing with great 'non-traditional' options, which was exactly what we were looking for. Staff is incredibly organized and helpful and treat you like a friend, not a customer. HIGHLY recommend!

Beautiful yummy food. Everyone was complimenting us on the awesome selection of hors d'oeuvres and other food. Creative presentation and flavor combos made this a great event. Chrissy was fabulous.

The food was really really good but what really put Mai Oui over the top was the amazing service! The staff really care, it is important to them that your wedding is everything you want it to be. That is what makes a difference. Please you them, they are great! Plus the price was very reasonable and the company that they use for furniture rental is equally great!

Mai Oui was one of the BEST choices we made for the wedding. Karen and Niki-Lynn are so wonderful to work with, and the food was AWESOME!! We received so many compliments on the hors d'oeuvres and the display of drinks.

Karen, the owner, was really great! Stepped up to the plate when our wedding planner didn't. She did forget to rent a few tables and forgot the sashes for the cocktail tables. The food (I heard) was good-- small portions apparently. I was surprised she didn't put aside a couple of meals for us since we never got to eat, but we did leave with a basket of wine and cheese, which was a nice touch. Did end up begin about $70 per person (not including alcohol) with all of the fees and services charges, which was more than I was expecting and more than what was on our original contract. I still feel like she did a good job, just a few problems.
