ven our wedding leftovers the next day were delicious! Karen really went above and beyond for us. The buffet table was decorated to match our wedding theme, the staff was quick to clear plates and glasses, and the food even looked beautiful. We changed our minds on a meat option a couple of times and Mai Oui! was so accommodating. They can make just about anything you request! We wish we could eat our wedding dinner all over again!

Ericka helped me design the perfect menu and adjusted it as needed to meet our headcount, food allergies, and even whim changes. Variety was so important to me and, as was making sure there was food everyone would like. I demanded no sit down restrictions of chicken, beef, and pasta but neither did I want a buffet with long lines. Ericka struck the perfect balance with food stations - each station was different, the lines were nonexistent, and each station provided its own variety of flavors and customizableness. The happy hour had passed food and I was only sad I couldn't crash it for all the yum. And then! Ericka ensured that we had samples to try at our table, as well as plated and brought us our preferred selections of foods from the stations. What? I got to eat at my own wedding? Unheard of. Truly, she made the process so easy, the food was so amazing to eat, and she and her staff absolutely nailed the event with their attentiveness, kindness, (and firm direction, my family is kind of like herding cats). I cannot speak highly enough of the tastiness, the professionalism on site, the insight to flavors, options, everything, just everything was amazing. Truly, she is a benchmark for all future catering I might experience now that I know how good catered food can really be at a wedding. If you haven't yet, call and book, she will absolutely help create part of that core happy memory for your event of just how good the food is.

We must have sent over 100 emails to Ericka about what we wanted at our wedding and the Mai Oui team came up with the most unique and innovative food offerings we had ever seen at a wedding. From Mexican street corn lollipops during cocktail hour to herb butter candles set out on the tables for dinner to a late night snack poutine bar; Mai Oui went above and beyond to ensure that our food was amazing and something that people would talk about. We can't say enough amazing things about Ericka, Mai Oui, and the entire team that served our wedding. We are still talking about the food and it's almost a month later!

She crafted a beautiful menu and worked with us through a few revisions. All of this was prior to the tasting which sealed the deal. At the tasting Karen had such a cute set up and we brought our maid of honor and two best men to help us decide. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! It was such an easy decision to sign the contract that day. After that, we fine tuned the menu and Karen helped with finding the perfect linens. She then came to our final walkthrough at the Treasury on the Plaza in St. Augustine to make sure everything was all set. We had a lot of changes leading up the wedding with COVID, and she was great and working with us. Then we finally got to cocktail hour to have those delicious appetizers again, and they did not disappoint! They had put a plate with at least 2 of each appetizer for my husband and I to have. Our guests loved the appetizers, but especially the Braised Chipotle Short Rib Tacos! We did a salad cart service which worked out great with our buffet. The food was SOOOOOO GOOOOOD, exactly what we needed! At the end of the night Mai Oui packed us a little basket of goodies for us to share on our mini-moon. It was so cute! Everything seemed to flow very well, and everyone had plenty of food. Thank you so much Karen and everyone else at Mai Oui for an amazing experience!

Ericka Y is the best catering manager out there! She answered my one million emails promptly and kindly and she made the entire planning process so easy on me. Not to mention that on our wedding day, she had so many special touches for us. She deserves 100 stars!

ui, and were absolutely blown away. The way the plates were prepared, from aesthetics to taste, were complete perfection. We didn’t ask to change a single thing. We developed a relationship with Ericka, who is just hands down an amazing human, who exudes hospitality and passion for what she does. Ericka is organized, has an amazing attention to detail, and it made us completely calm knowing she was there for us on our wedding day. Part of us expected the food to not be as amazing as it was at our tasting on our wedding day, because they were going from feeding just the 2 of us, to feeding 120 people. We couldn’t have been more wrong. I have had tons of our guests STILL talking about the food, 5 months later. The service staff was so professional, and amazing. They coordinated the tables, stations, pre-bused, and waited on my wife and I perfectly. Our glasses were never empty, our plates full with whatever we desired. They even brought us out appetizers during cocktail hour that we couldn’t attend, due to picture taking. Ericka and Mai Oui literally went above and beyond what we expected, required, or requested. And we both have very high expectations, with us both being in the hospitality industry. This is a 5 star catering team, that we just sincerely feel lucky to have had a part of our day.

Staff who passed out appetizers recognized the need to ensure they were offered to guests far away from where they were coming from. During dinner, the staff was very attentive to our needs and the needs of our families, and Karen especially made sure that my husband and I were able to sit down and actually eat! Karen and her staff were also excited to be able to accommodate a custom dessert bar (halo-halo bar, traditional Filipino dessert). My husband and I provided all the ingredients and Karen even made a mock setup for us to ensure it was exactly how we wanted it. They were able to set it up and execute and it was a huge hit! Overall, we would highly recommend!

in a timely and easy manner. We opted to do a plated duo meal as a buffet would have been too hectic with 200 guests. The food was just as good at the tasting as it was on the big day. My husband is Greek so Karen made sure to have some spanakopita as a passed hors’ devours. I had many people tell me “you won’t get to eat on your wedding day”, Karen made sure that that did not happen. Before our pictures started, she brought us some appetizers and water. When it was time for dinner she made sure we were served first. Karen also provided us with a basket of wine (wine glasses included), snacks, two servings of dinner and cake to take with us for our wedding night. Mai Oui completely blew us away with their fantastic service!

Having her there made me the easiest most laid back bride just knowing everything was taken care of. She kept me calm, cool, and collected. Karen went above and beyond for us and even came the day before to help set up. Karen acted almost like a day of coordinator as she helped with wedding time-line, attended our 30 day walk through at our venue, and made sure that my husband and I always had everything we wanted. She even packed up hearty meals for us so we could eat later on that night as we got to pick on our food here and there during the night. Also, she surprised us by packing us a nice basket with wine, wine glasses, and little snack items with yummy chocolate truffles as a nice little gift. Karen has a very professional operation and everything went smoothly. She always communicated with us regarding what we wanted and she clearly understood as everything was superb! I highly suggest that any engaged couple call up Mai Oui and I truly believe that you will not be disappointed regardless of what you want for your special day!

We rented all our linens through Mai Oui and Karen allowed us to bring our homemade centerpieces over to do a mock up on linens before we committed. It's been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about how they loved and are craving Mai Oui's shrimp and grits. Guest equally raved about the chicken and waffles late night snack we had. Chrissy also did a great job in assuring everything was running smooth on the day of. The servers that night were very attentive. I definitely got to eat on my wedding day, hubby had seconds, and enjoyed every bit of it. There was only one glitch that happened with one of our entrees, but within days after our wedding the situation was rectified. As George Bernard Shaw said “Success does not consist in never making mistakes but in never making the same one a second time.” I would highly recommend Mai Oui Gourmet Catering the food and service were phenomenal. I would defiantly book them again.

e to be married, our venue was canceled (Palm Valley Garens). We were able to rebook somewhere else. Karen and Chrissy really went above and beyond their duties. They kept me calm. Provided us w/ multiple things that were lost in the contract w/ PVG. They even took some great photos of my dad and I. I definitely reccomend Mai Oui!!!! And their pear, bacon and brie grill cheese is amazing!

Karen was also very helpful- with menu suggestions, answering my crazy questions, and communicating through email in a timely manner. On the day of our site visit (four days before our wedding!) Karen and her staff had great ideas to help turn my vision into a reality. On the day of our wedding Ashley made sure everything went smoothly by communicating with other vendors, setting up everything, and even bringing the bride and groom full dinner plates. The food was delicious! Best crab cakes I ever had, and the dinner was amazing. The special touch that I loved was when we went to leave at the end of the night, we found a basket from them in the car with goodies we could take to the hotel. Mai Oui completely exceeded all of our expectations! They definitely go above and beyond to make your event special!

verything we hoped it would be. And it was thanks to them! It was slightly difficult to choose a menu, because their menu choices were so vast and flexible for all budgets and tastes! But they helped us focus to choose a menu that would satisfy us and all of our guests with the special food preferences everyone had. They even helped us plan aspects of the wedding that were not related to the catering – they ensured that their services would complement the entire event. And Mai Oui provides their own florals and décor for the food & beverage stations. Everything was fantastic and they worked closely with me to ensure that their décor would complement the other florals and décor provided by the florist. Finally, the catering staff at the event was extraordinary! Very professional! I would highly recommend Mai Oui Gourmet to anyone that is planning a wedding. And I will definitely be using them for any other event that I may have in the future! Thanks, guys!

of your 'vision'. The food is amazing with great 'non-traditional' options, which was exactly what we were looking for. Staff is incredibly organized and helpful and treat you like a friend, not a customer. HIGHLY recommend!

e food (I heard) was good-- small portions apparently. I was surprised she didn't put aside a couple of meals for us since we never got to eat, but we did leave with a basket of wine and cheese, which was a nice touch. Did end up begin about $70 per person (not including alcohol) with all of the fees and services charges, which was more than I was expecting and more than what was on our original contract. I still feel like she did a good job, just a few problems.
