Maine Made Weddings serves all of Maine and New England, featuring some of Maine's most experienced and awarded event and broadcast professionals with decades of experience. When we're not on the air on the biggest radio stations in northern New England, we're planning fantastic weddings with dozens of couples each year. Our team of Ryan Gavin, Brian James, Dom Lavoie, Annie Snook & Tom Doucette will work closely with you throughout the entire planning process to find the perfect music, build the best playlists, and develop the right vibe and style for your wedding.
We've spent decades hosting radio shows and building music formats on stations across the US, and we've been trusted by hundreds of couples over the years to provide the absolute best wedding entertainment available in Maine. From planning playlists to pressing play on wedding day, we can guide you through the entire music process! Whether we're focusing on customized ceremony selections or genre-specific vibes for your cocktail hour, we deliver recommendation-driven hits for every part of your event, from arrival to dancing the night away.

Ryan and his team are the perfect fit for your wedding. Ryan makes everything super easy to use. You can pick the playlist and add songs with absolute ease. Ryan’s regular check-ins make this part of wedding playing a breeze. Not only does Ryan have you covered when you hit the dance floor, he has you covered for your ceremony. I had friends of mine tell me, “of all the weddings we went to this year, yours was the best for sound quality.
Ryan and his team make sure your day is perfect and it is absolutely worth the price.
When my wife and I got to the dance floor many people were impressed with his ability to change songs and make it a smooth transition.

Ryan was the most professional and responsive vendor we worked with throughout our wedding planning process. He made planning our playlists and timeline SO easy and convenient. Going into our wedding day we were confident that he would execute our plans with ease. He did just that! He helped our timeline progress without a hitch, played all of our favorite songs throughout the night, and kept the dance floor packed throughout the night. Many of our guests remarked that it was the “most they have ever danced at a wedding.” My husband and I recommend Ryan and Maine Made Weddings to the highest degree!
Let me start by saying that, aside from food, music was the top priority for my husband and me. We spent a lot of time carefully choosing every song that went on our playlist. So naturally, like anyone, we wanted to find a DJ who would respect our vision.
Ryan Gavin exceeded our expectations. He understood our vision and provided feedback and insight based on his extensive experience doing weddings. I now have even more respect and appreciation for the skills required to be a great DJ, like reading the room to maintain the flow and creating an atmosphere that caters to a wide range of ages.
We had a few very specific requests that required precision timing-wise and Ryan nailed them all. He executed the recessional flawlessly, and we can’t begin to express how thankful we are, as this was something I had been envisioning for over a decade.
We were also impressed with Ryan’s professionalism throughout the entire process. He was consistently responsive, polite, and accommodating. We never once second-guessed our choice or felt like we had to worry about the DJ, and this is coming from two highly anxious people lol. Though Ryan was our DJ, we have 0 doubt that anyone on his team is anything less than exceptional. Thank you for everything, Ryan. You were made for this!

Ryan and his team at Maine Made Weddings went above and beyond! They are an incredible team to work with. They kept things easy and organized from the very beginning until the very end of the planning process. Whether it be phone/video calls to check in/plan, email reminders, or the super convenient app that they use for music selection, they are so incredible. Our DJ was Matt Perry and he absolutely rocked it! He kept us on schedule and brought such good vibes to our venue and our dance floor. 10/10 would recommend and work with again for any event!

Due to some miscommunications, I was quite disappointed with Maine Made Weddings as a DJ service. However, the team reached out to me via a strongly worded email and explained in great detail what exactly transpired. Deepest apologies for leaving an initial review that didn’t tell the whole story.
Ryan was incredibly kind and helpful on the planning calls! He and the planning application helped us to create a timeline and be as involved as we liked in curating our playlist for our guests. Ryan was very responsive as well! On the wedding day itself, DJ Justin was so communicative and kind, we couldn't be more appreciative. THANK YOU!
Ryan and Maine Made Weddings was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. They send a detailed questionnaire and timeline creator to you months before the wedding and that really helps sort out some of the big details that go into DJing and MCing the event. The music selection process was incredibly intuitive and customizable to whatever vibe you want. They also were able to accommodate three different locations on our venue without issue. Our dance floor was very active all night thanks to Tom! They were a great vendor for us and we’d recommend them to anyone.
Maine Made Weddings was the best choice we could of made for our wedding. The owner Ryan was so organized in setting up planning meetings and staying right on top of everything. They use an app planning system that made it so easy to customize our day of timeline and music choices. It was a seamless experience! Dom was our day of DJ and he was great! Everything went so smooth because we already had a plan in place and he even was reminding me of our thank you speech and cake cutting time. He was on top of everything. Tons of guest complimented us on how great the DJ was!
Maine Made Weddings (DJ: Ryan) was an excellent choice for our wedding. As a couple who wanted a lot of say on the music, we were so pleased and excited for all of the songs we really wanted to hear - also having control over what we didn't want to hear. The personalization of our event and the ease of working with Ryan made the music a highlight of our wedding reception. We absolutely recommended Maine Made Weddings.
We worked with Ryan for our October 2024 wedding and we could not have been happier with his professionalism, organization, and ability to put on a great party. Ryan was such a huge help during the planning process and asked us detailed questions that we hadn't even thought of to make sure our day ran smoothly. Ryan was more of an MC/DJ and made sure that other vendors were in line as the night went on. I am not exaggerating when I say he had the dance floor PACKED the entire night, it did not die ONCE. We had Maine Made Weddings at our wedding in September 2024 and they were AMAZING!! We had a few calls in the months leading up and they were very thorough and actually extremely helpful when helping us create a timeline, which was the most difficult part for us when planning. The planning app is also super helpful to track everything and it's customizable to your own timeline. The price was also very reasonable for everything that they include! At our wedding, they came and set everything they needed up for the ceremony and for the reception seamlessly and were fully self sufficient. We had Tom as a DJ and he was super nice and helpful and we got SO many compliments on his personability and helpfulness! They really made the whole day our dream come true and we can't say enough good about them!

Ryan was an amazing DJ for our August 2024 wedding! From the get go we felt comfortable with all suggestions he provided. Ryan made the planning process fun and a breeze with the Vibo app he uses. He helped us build out our tentative timeline and made sure we got everything we wanted in the process. His experience definitely shined through when helping us build out the music feel for each part of our reception. From the cocktail hour, to our dinner, and, most importantly, our dance floor. His ability to understand the feel we were going for helped define our whole night. He made great suggestions for types of music as well as helped fill in the blanks for our dance floor music. His uplighting placement and use played a major factor in our dance floor being busy. Ryan setup our music choices in a way that kept the party going all night. Our guests talked about how great the music flowed all night and that was due to Ryan’s ability to understand what we were looking for. We would definitely recommend working with him!
Working with Ryan was consistently a seamless and easy process for us. From the first call, it was clear he is a true pro and we felt like we weren’t just another client for him. Whether you want to control all aspects of the playlist, or have Ryan take the wheel, he’s the guy.
His app is also very easy to use and worked flawlessly, he even edited our first dance song to our exact specifications. The dance floor was hot all night long! We strongly would recommend to anyone looking for a professional DJ that makes you feel heard.
Ryan and his team were fabulous! We had so much fun dancing the night away. With my family being from the US and my husband from Colombia, we had to mix both cultures. Ryan and Tom kept the dance floor going all night long! Ryan was super helpful with planning. The Maine Made Weddings DJ planning platform was easy to use and allowed us to curate our own playlist. Tom allowed the groom, who is also a DJ, play a few tracks towards the end of the night. It was the highlight of the night for many attending the reception.
We had the absolute best experience with Maine Made Weddings and our DJ, Ryan , at our wedding! From the very beginning, Ryan was a total professional, taking the time to understand our musical tastes and the vibe we wanted for our big day. Ryan's professionalism, attention to detail, and organization outshined every other music vendor we interviewed, which is why we hired Maine Maine Weddings as our wedding DJ. At first, we were reluctant to use an app to design our music as we wanted the "experts" to plan everything for us, but we were ultimately so grateful to have so much say in these key moments. Ryan's step-by-step process and communication helped us think through elements of our event (like musical transitions and timing of dances) that we would have otherwise not considered. We mean this in the best way possible, but we hardly even noticed the DJ we were assigned to (Justin) was at our wedding as he blended in perfectly! The audio was perfect (everyone could hear our personal vows, speeches, and music the entire night), seamless transitions, and minimal announcements. It was important to us to not have a "gimmicky" announcer-like DJ, and Justin honored this beautifully. We can honestly say there were no audio/musical hiccups in our 7+ hour event day. Highly recommend Maine Maine Weddings!
I knew we were in great hands as soon as our consultation began. Ryan is incredibly professional and has a ton of helpful knowledge regarding the flow and timing of the wedding day. He made the planning process so easy, and we especially appreciated having access to an app that allowed us to personalize so many moments of the day. We were fortunate enough to have Ryan DJ our wedding ceremony and reception, but I'm willing to bet the rest of the DJs on his team are fantastic too. Our guests had an absolute blast and I'm so thankful Ryan was a part of our day.
Maine Made Weddings is a great company! I would highly recommend them for your wedding. Communication with Ryan was great and everything is done through an app that's easy to use and keeps everything organized. I took off one star because all pre-wedding communication is done through Ryan, but it's not guaranteed that he's going to be your DJ. I knew this was the case when I hired them, but I wish we got to meet with the DJ who did our wedding face-to-face before the day. He did a great job, but we weren't able to meet him until our wedding.

Maine Made Weddings really considers the auditory experience of the wedding day from guest arrival all the way through until the dance floor closing, something I greatly appreciated. This approach was extremely helpful for planning as well because it made us consider the guest experience from arrival to departure.
Ryan set us up with the Vibo DJ app and we were able to craft the soundtrack for our wedding to our liking, but he also gave us the option of deferring to him based on preferred genre/vibe. His guidance throughout the process was invaluable.
On our wedding day, Ryan was perfect for the whole day. He was also extremely flexible given some last-minute music additions.

Everything went smoothly day-of. We heard the songs on our “must play” list, and Dom kept everything on our timeline without any input or involvement from us, so we could fully enjoy our time with our guests.

We had an extremely easy and positive experience with Maine Made Weddings. The entire planning process was fool proof, using an ap for the entire thing and a few phone calls! The DJ at our wedding was awesome! Everyone said they enjoyed the music. Our DJ also stayed later than expected to see us through our private last dance - my favorite part of the entire night- despite some lingering guests who didn’t get the hint it was time to leave! 10/10 would recommend!
Ryan was amazing throughout the entire process - easily the most communicative, responsive, and organized of everybody we worked with planning our wedding. The website was very user friendly and super helpful with creating the timeline of everything. We would definitely hire them again, and highly recommend them for any DJing needs.
Ryan was an absolute star. From the very beginning, his planning process, communication, and organization was flawless. I'm a super organized bride, and found that a lot of vendors didn't want to deal with the details until the last minute. Ryan was available with under 24-hour responses from the day of booking through the wedding day. He made an awesome custom intro for our grand entrance that really made an impact. He stood by during cocktail hour as we practiced our first dance in secret. He gave us great advice on the schedule, on announcements, etc. And most of all, the dance floor was a blast. He kept the night going and we had so much fun. Last but not least, he was extremely affordable. He was a joy to work with and so professional. We would work with Ryan again in a heartbeat.

Ryan was absolutely amazing. During the planning he was so attentive and helpful answering any question and concern we had. During the wedding he played music that was upbeat and really got the party started. We had a few last minute requests that he did not hesitate to complete for us. From start to finish, Ryan was absolutely amazing to work with! The planning process was very straight forward with the website he uses. We were able to add our own music (which was a big plus), add details and work on a timeline all through the website to help the day to help make the day go smoother. Ryan was also able to make edits for us on a few of the songs, and the meetings we had were very helpful to nail things down as it got closer to the wedding. Our guests kept telling us how much fun they had and that the DJ was great! We would highly recommend Ryan and his business to anybody getting married!

Our experience with Maine Made Weddings was wonderful. From the start Ryan and his team were on top of every little detail. Their software makes it super easy to figure out what music you want when and it even gives you suggestions by category. The team is super personable and exactly how you want a DJ to be.

We had such a great experience working with Ryan and Maine Made Weddings. From the initial conversation to the day of our wedding he made us feel at ease about all things music and timeline related. It felt like he was not only our DJ, but a second day-of-coordinator. He was so easy to work with and flexible about moving our timing around so that there was no wasted time during the entire wedding day allowing our photographer to capture as much of the day as possible. During planning calls, Ryan was very professional and responsive, and we felt as if no stone was left unturned teasing out every single minute detail of our special day. We loved his planning app, helping us build a very personalized playlist but allowing him to use his skill and knowledge to really create an amazingly fun, energy-filled, and all smiles reception. He also provided lapel mics for the groom and officiant so that everyone could hear the ceremony so clearly. There were zero instances of "technical difficulties," all toasters could just pick up a mic when it was their turn and just talk, everything was just so effortless thanks to Ryan. If we planned our wedding again, we would choose Maine Made Weddings in a heartbeat.
Ryan was awesome with communication and helping with the planning process - specifically the timeline! I felt so much better after our first phone call because he not only eased my mind with the music, but my wedding day overall given his professional experience. We had Dj Dom at our wedding and he was AWESOME. So kind and efficient. The planning app used to make playlists and the timeline was so easy to use and really made the whole experience that much better. Highly recommend!!

I wish I could give Ryan more than 5 stars. We didn’t have a wedding planner, and our venue was very hands-off about things, so he was the glue that held the whole event together, from the ceremony all the way through the end of the reception. In our meetings leading up to the wedding, he was super organized and diligent in getting our preferences and planning the desired timing of things, so that we could enjoy the event stress-free. I loved the app he used for planning the playlists, which made it easy to import playlists from Spotify, plus he had a huge list of suggested songs to pull in. He provided lapel mics for the groom and officiant that worked perfectly for our ceremony by the lake, and then he helped move people along from the ceremony to cocktail hour on the patio and then into the dining room for dinner and our first dance, and then of course, kept people dancing on the dance floor all night. He focused on planning things ahead of time so that the actual event could have a bit of flexibility (e.g. if we wanted a little more time for cocktail hour or wanted to open the dance floor a bit early). I was just so impressed by the scope of the services he provided and the professionalism with which he delivered them. I hadn’t been sure initially if our small wedding really “needed” a DJ, but it did, one million percent. We can’t thank you enough, Ryan!!
Ryan and his team were amazing on our wedding day! we had the best experience! communication was amazing and they were open to all of our crazy ideas and were able to help create an experience that we will cherish forever! The process was seamless and was so easy!! I would recommend them 100x!!! My dad and I did a custom dance and so did my husband and his mom and they crushed it!!! Our timeline worked so well in accordance with our other vendors and it was just a great experience!!

We absolutely loved our experience with Maine Made Weddings. First, they were very reasonably priced and curated a first-rate experience.
As a very organized bride, I found their pre-planning flawless. They have you input your desired timeline with details into a software. You can add everything that’s on your mind which is SO helpful. For each of our 3 planning calls, we met with Ryan who was not only kind and honest but quite helpful about giving advice (he was right about all of it day-of!!).
Ryan ended up being our DJ for the weekend as well. He was professional, timely, and read the crowd. We loved the lavalier mics (instead of handheld) for our ceremony, the uplighting for dancing, and the rare need for me to communicate with Ryan throughout the night. Everything went smoothly, even though our site was relatively complicated with 3 sound locations and at a summer camp.

All my husband wanted for our wedding was for it to feel like a huge party and Ryan’s team did just that. Our DJ had people up and dancing most of the night and kept our guests moving! They were so knowledgeable and accommodating we felt completely stress free about our day thanks to them! We even had to make a last minute addition(the night before) and Ryan was more than happy to accommodate. If you’re looking to have the best wedding or celebration this is the team to hire!
Ryan and Maine Made weddings were so great for our July 2023 wedding. Ryan was so easy to work with leading up to the wedding - the planning software Maine Made Weddings uses made it super easy to collaborate and integrate seamlessly with our playlists, and the planning Zoom calls were super helpful. My husband and I were really particular about our playlists but were open to input from Ryan and he did a great job of making sure we had the right mix of music to appeal to all generations. Ryan was also really flexible and helpful with members of my extended family who performed a song at the reception - this was an absolute highlight of the day and I'm so glad we were able to make it happen. Ryan was incredible throughout the planning process! He made us feel at ease from the beginning and we came to really value his insight. He is an absolute professional. In addition, the planning app Maine Made Weddings uses integrates seamlessly with Spotify and could not have been easier to use to help us make different song choices. We especially loved that we could include notes about each song and move the schedule ourselves within the app. Ryan was also extremely kind and flexible when it came to managing a terminal diagnosis within our family during wedding planning as well as in helping us to integrate a group reading during our ceremony. We truly felt so supported by him throughout this process. On our wedding day, Ryan was prompt (mentioned only because we got married on Peaks Island and that is not a small feat in that situation!) and continued to demonstrate his flexibility with the weather (it ended up storming at the last minute) and family members requesting a decrease in noise during dinner. During the dancing section of the night, Ryan made excellent additions to our song selections and the uplighting he provided really shifted the mood for our guests in a positive way. Our dance floor was packed until the end of the night. We would absolutely recommend hiring Maine Made Weddings!
Ryan Gavin and Maine Made Weddings made our wedding the best party we could have dreamed of. Ryan was increcibly professional from the moment we engaged with him. He had great guidance for us throughout the whole process and was always very responsive to our questions. Multiple guests told us that he was the best DJ they have heard at a wedding!
No complaints - we had Ryan as our wedding DJ and he was professional, friendly, had just the right amount of extroversion and had an excellent quality sound system and lighting set up for our wedding at Granite Ridge. He had regular check ins with us to go over our timeline and plan, gave us a ton of freedom with the playlist, and played our music seamlessly without abrupt pauses or cut offs. We made a great choice with Maine Made Weddings and have no regrets!

I cannot rave about MaineMade DJs (and Ryan specifically) enough! Leading up to our wedding day we had great calls with Ryan who guided us through planning the music for our wedding. He helped us pick a few key songs (the online portal was super helpful) and also assisted us in our lighting choices. He had our entire wedding dancing all night! The dance floor was never empty and everyone had a wonderful time. You cannot go wrong booking MaineMade Djs.

Maine made weddings was a fantastic vendor for our wedding! They really make it easy with their app, lets you plan everything to a T and super simple to use! Very helpful throughout the whole process, making sure we were on the same page and everything was when it needed to be. Ryan editing songs for the wedding entrance & first dance and every cue was right on time!Ryan was great, really kept the vibes up and the dance floor popping. Ryan was great- the planning tools provided helped us communicate what we needed for the day, and he was very helpful in communicating during the weeks leading up to our wedding. He was very flexible with any last minute changes and requests that we made. We knew exactly what we wanted played during the ceremony and reception and he was happy to stick with our requests.
Ryan was absolutely fantastic. He listened to us and helped when we needed direction or reccomendations. We scheduled two zoom meetings prior to our wedding and he was so kind and understanding. We were able to easily add to our package, pay, and add or delete music so easily. They have an app that makes planning so helpful! Would recommend 100% of the time to anyone looking for a fun and easy dj.
Ryan was awesome from beginning to end. He was quick to respond regarding availability and package options. Communication was fast and he was organized and personable to work with. The music app was great and easy to use. Ryan was very accommodating as we had three different set up requests at the same venue. He was able to move equipment seamlessly and our ceremony, dinner and dance reception flowed exactly as desired. He was also great at keeping us aware of timeline and to keep our guests on task. Ryan definitely helped make our wedding day a wonderful time for us and our guests!
DJ Ryan was an absolute highlight of our wedding day. He was such a professional and brought immense energy and enthusiasm to our reception. We got to create our own playlist, which he improved and gave great suggestions on. He really impressed us with his knowledge and skills. He went above and beyond to make everything go smoothly with things like our reception entrance lineup. He was truly a pleasure to work with. When picking a dj we felt in over our heads we didn’t know how many songs really make up a wedding there’s songs for cake cutting, dinner, dancing, etc but with all the suggestions and popular song lists on the client portal that really helped as well as Ryan giving us advice and listening to our ideas! He had a great energy about him and kept our guests on the dance floor all night long! We had two almost 30 min phone calls leading up to the wedding just discussing details Ryan never made us feel rushed and seemed excited and happy to talk to us. Almost like an old friend. We really appreciate all the time and energy Ryan put in to making our wedding music perfect!

We really enjoyed working with Ryan and his team. They were very communicative and collaborative through the planning process and you can tell they really enjoy what they do! They were helpful and flexible during set up too, and were able to provide sound for both our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. There were a few small flubs with some music transitions during the event, but none of the guests noticed. Overall a positive experience and would recommend to other couples!
We loved Ryan Gavin with Maine Made DJs! We received feedback from our guests of all ages, all night, that the music was great! Ryan was communicative throughout the planning process, and we had a planning website page to help guide us through all of the music decisions. We provided Ryan with a playlist of songs we loved but also gave him the freedom to bring in other songs based on the vibe which he did! I would definitely recommend Maine Made DJs and would hire Ryan again!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ than Ryan. He was heavily involved and available during the planning of our wedding and open to catering the musical style to our preferences. Ryan and the Maine Made Weddings team were fantastic at our wedding! He was responsive and easy to talk to during the planning stage, and he made it clear from the start that he cared about our preferences and would take as much or as little guidance from us as we wanted. We gave him a moderate amount of direction—a list of about 10 “must play” songs and about 150 “can play” songs—but left the rest up to him. Giving him some discretion was a great decision in the end—he sequenced songs really well, and the transitions from song to song were excellent. The dance floor was packed all night! No matter how specific your vision for the playlist is, Ryan is a true professional and I would trust him to nail the music at any party.
Ryan was incredible to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. We knew we wanted a DJ who could give us flexibility with our music, but also help us to outline what our reception timeline would look like. Ryan gave us great advice on timing (cake cutting, introductions, speeches, etc.) and we always felt like we could trust him. He even put together custom length songs for our formal dances, which sounded amazing! When we handed Ryan a Spotify playlist with 3 hours of music, he was excited to turn our ideas into an amazing party. Our guests told me how great our DJ was and how much they enjoyed the music. We truly feel so lucky to have found Ryan and Maine Made Weddings and could not recommend them enough for your wedding (or really, any party - he is awesome!)
The best dj service you could get! They were so informative and helpful through this entire process! They asked questions about things you do not even think of throughout planning your wedding. The music was AWESOME! We received so many complaints all night on the DJ, no one wanted to stop dancing it and everyone was on the dance floor

Maine Made Weddings was amazing from the start! They had a speedy response with my initial quote request — we made our deposit to secure our date with them! We had access to a website to help fill in the songs we had picked for special moments through out our day — two months prior to our day Ryan checked in to schedule a meeting to go over everything we wanted for our big day! We kept pushing music off until the week before our wedding and Ryan made sure to squeeze in a meeting with me and went over our day from start to finish and he kne
