Maine Made Weddings serves all of Maine and New England, featuring some of Maine's most experienced and awarded event and broadcast professionals with decades of experience. When we're not on the air on the biggest radio stations in northern New England, we're planning fantastic weddings with dozens of couples each year. Our team of Ryan Gavin, Brian James, Dom Lavoie, Annie Snook & Tom Doucette will work closely with you throughout the entire planning process to find the perfect music, build the best playlists, and develop the right vibe and style for your wedding.
We've spent decades hosting radio shows and building music formats on stations across the US, and we've been trusted by hundreds of couples over the years to provide the absolute best wedding entertainment available in Maine. From planning playlists to pressing play on wedding day, we can guide you through the entire music process! The team was so easy to work with beforehand! Communication was excellent both prior to the event and on the day itself. Everything went absolutely smoothly, and I even received compliments about the DJ we hired afterward. I would definitely recommend them!

Planning our music and DJ services with Ryan was easy and so helpful! Ryan was attentive and always willing to help. Jason was our DJ on the day of the wedding and executed everything perfectly, checking in several times throughout the night, and kept the dance floor fun and exciting!
Ryan helped us plan our beautiful day, and the planning process itself was smooth and easy. We carefully built our playlist with a mix of cultural songs that were really meaningful to us, and we were excited to hear them throughout the night.
On the wedding day, however, we ran into complications with our DJ, Brian, and the woman who accompanied him. We had communicated through the planning app that the DJ needed to be set up on the upper level, but when Brian arrived, he pushed back on this. Eventually it was sorted out, but it set the tone. Later we received feedback from our venue that Brian had been rude to some people, including the venue host, which was disappointing to hear.
During the reception, we were especially let down by the music choices. Many songs from our playlist were missed, and several that we hadn’t chosen were played instead. The flow of the music didn’t feel intentional, and we found ourselves having to repeatedly go up to request songs or ask for changes.
The woman assisting Brian also behaved inappropriately at points. At one point she gave us a “no worries” stone, which directly went against our personal faith and beliefs. We felt this was unprofessional and out of place for a wedding vendor.
While we didn’t allow these issues to ruin our night, the overall experience fell short of what we had hoped for. Brian may be a better fit for other types of events, but based on our experience, we would not recommend him for weddings where attention to detail and sensitivity to the couple’s wishes are especially important.
Maine Made Weddings was fantastic to work with. The app they set us up with was so user friendly and easy to customize info for our wedding. We had a great experience with them and Ryan was so helpful on check in calls for ideas on how to smooth out our timeline and pick the right vibe of music. We would recommend them to any couple!
We cannot recommend them enough!! From start to finish they were great to work with. We told them the vibe of our dance floor, made playlists together, had an amazing planning app, and couldn't have made the timeline of our day without them! Matt was our DJ and he kept the party/dancefloor going just like we asked. They were very responsive to our questions and insightful. Great package options to!
Ryan Gavin was our DJ at Mountain Star Estate on August 30th, 2025. He is such a professional at everything he does! The music was outstanding, and he put in so much time and effort helping us coordinate the wedding of our dreams. We would HIGHLY recommend him and Maine Made Weddings to any couple looking for the best DJ company out there!
Incredible DJ – Organized, Helpful, and Truly Made Our Day Perfect
As someone who is very organized and planned my own wedding, I can’t say enough good things about Ryan. His system for running weddings is truly perfect. He met with us as many times as we needed, helped build and refine our schedule, and thought of things I hadn’t even considered. His experience really showed, and it made the whole process smoother and less stressful.
One of my favorite parts was how easy it was to create our playlists using his app. I was able to upload my own playlists from Spotify and also browse his curated suggestions to build a music lineup that we got so many compliments on.
His timing throughout the day was flawless, including the ceremony, which was held in a different area than the reception. The transitions between locations were seamless and stress-free.
I also wanted to shorten our first dance songs, and he created beautifully edited versions of all three that were the perfect length, with smooth transitions that didn’t feel rushed or choppy at all.
I’m just so grateful for Ryan’s knowledge, professionalism, and organization. He was a huge part of what made our day feel so perfect and easy. Highly, highly recommend!
Ryan was an incredible asset while planning and Justin was a great DJ! Stuck to our must play list, the lighting was great and it was overall such a fun atmosphere!
Highly recommend!!! My daughter selected them for her wedding and she and her husband were thrilled! All the communication before was excellent and they were confident they would get exactly what they were asking for a their wedding! They did! It was a fantastic night!!!

We worked with Ryan at Maine Made Weddings for our wedding this past weekend. I cannot recommend Ryan and the team enough if you care about a fully customized and organized music experience. We were able to pick all of the songs on our playlist, and Ryan mixed them to create a perfect party list that kept people dancing all night long. We also had perfect audio and music for our ceremony. 10/10 would book again!!

Ryan was the most professional and responsive vendor we worked with throughout our wedding planning process. He made planning our playlists and timeline SO easy and convenient. Going into our wedding day we were confident that he would execute our plans with ease. He did just that! He helped our timeline progress without a hitch, played all of our favorite songs throughout the night, and kept the dance floor packed throughout the night. Let me start by saying that, aside from food, music was the top priority for my husband and me. We spent a lot of time carefully choosing every song that went on our playlist. So naturally, like anyone, we wanted to find a DJ who would respect our vision.
Ryan Gavin exceeded our expectations. He understood our vision and provided feedback and insight based on his extensive experience doing weddings. I now have even more respect and appreciation for the skills required to be a great DJ, like reading the room to maintain the flow and creating an atmosphere that caters to a wide range of ages.
We had a few very specific requests that required precision timing-wise and Ryan nailed them all. He executed the recessional flawlessly, and we can’t begin to express how thankful we are, as this was something I had been envisioning for over a decade.
We were also impressed with Ryan’s professionalism throughout the entire process. He was consistently responsive, polite, and accommodating. We never once second-guessed our choice or felt like we had to worry about the DJ, and this is coming from two highly anxious people lol. Though Ryan was our DJ, we have 0 doubt that anyone on his team is anything less than exceptional. Thank you for everything, Ryan. You were made for this!

Ryan and his team at Maine Made Weddings went above and beyond! They are an incredible team to work with. They kept things easy and organized from the very beginning until the very end of the planning process. Whether it be phone/video calls to check in/plan, email reminders, or the super convenient app that they use for music selection, they are so incredible. Our DJ was Matt Perry and he absolutely rocked it! He kept us on schedule and brought such good vibes to our venue and our dance floor. 10/10 would recommend and work with again for any event!

Due to some miscommunications, I was quite disappointed with Maine Made Weddings as a DJ service. However, the team reached out to me via a strongly worded email and explained in great detail what exactly transpired. Deepest apologies for leaving an initial review that didn’t tell the whole story.
Ryan was incredibly kind and helpful on the planning calls! He and the planning application helped us to create a timeline and be as involved as we liked in curating our playlist for our guests. Ryan was very responsive as well! On the wedding day itself, DJ Justin was so communicative and kind, we couldn't be more appreciative. THANK YOU!
Ryan and Maine Made Weddings was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. They send a detailed questionnaire and timeline creator to you months before the wedding and that really helps sort out some of the big details that go into DJing and MCing the event. The music selection process was incredibly intuitive and customizable to whatever vibe you want. They also were able to accommodate three different locations on our venue without issue. Our dance floor was very active all night thanks to Tom! They were a great vendor for us and we’d recommend them to anyone.
Maine Made Weddings was the best choice we could of made for our wedding. The owner Ryan was so organized in setting up planning meetings and staying right on top of everything. They use an app planning system that made it so easy to customize our day of timeline and music choices. It was a seamless experience! Dom was our day of DJ and he was great! Everything went so smooth because we already had a plan in place and he even was reminding me of our thank you speech and cake cutting time. He was on top of everything. Tons of guest complimented us on how great the DJ was!
Maine Made Weddings (DJ: Ryan) was an excellent choice for our wedding. As a couple who wanted a lot of say on the music, we were so pleased and excited for all of the songs we really wanted to hear - also having control over what we didn't want to hear. We worked with Ryan for our October 2024 wedding and we could not have been happier with his professionalism, organization, and ability to put on a great party. Ryan was such a huge help during the planning process and asked us detailed questions that we hadn't even thought of to make sure our day ran smoothly. Ryan was more of an MC/DJ and made sure that other vendors were in line as the night went on. I am not exaggerating when I say he had the dance floor PACKED the entire night, it did not die ONCE. We had a few calls in the months leading up and they were very thorough and actually extremely helpful when helping us create a timeline, which was the most difficult part for us when planning. The planning app is also super helpful to track everything and it's customizable to your own timeline. The price was also very reasonable for everything that they include! At our wedding, they came and set everything they needed up for the ceremony and for the reception seamlessly and were fully self sufficient. We had Tom as a DJ and he was super nice and helpful and we got SO many compliments on his personability and helpfulness! They really made the whole day our dream come true and we can't say enough good about them!

Ryan was an amazing DJ for our August 2024 wedding! From the get go we felt comfortable with all suggestions he provided. Ryan made the planning process fun and a breeze with the Vibo app he uses. He helped us build out our tentative timeline and made sure we got everything we wanted in the process. His experience definitely shined through when helping us build out the music feel for each part of our reception. From the cocktail hour, to our dinner, and, most importantly, our dance floor. His ability to understand the feel we were going for helped define our whole night. He made great suggestions for types of music as well as helped fill in the blanks for our dance floor music. His uplighting placement and use played a major factor in our dance floor being busy. Ryan setup our music choices in a way that kept the party going all night. Our guests talked about how great the music flowed all night and that was due to Ryan’s ability to understand what we were looking for. We would definitely recommend working with him!
Working with Ryan was consistently a seamless and easy process for us. From the first call, it was clear he is a true pro and we felt like we weren’t just another client for him. Whether you want to control all aspects of the playlist, or have Ryan take the wheel, he’s the guy.

Ryan and Tom kept the dance floor going all night long! Ryan was super helpful with planning. The Maine Made Weddings DJ planning platform was easy to use and allowed us to curate our own playlist. Tom allowed the groom, who is also a DJ, play a few tracks towards the end of the night. It was the highlight of the night for many attending the reception.

Ryan's professionalism, attention to detail, and organization outshined every other music vendor we interviewed, which is why we hired Maine Maine Weddings as our wedding DJ. At first, we were reluctant to use an app to design our music as we wanted the "experts" to plan everything for us, but we were ultimately so grateful to have so much say in these key moments. Ryan's step-by-step process and communication helped us think through elements of our event (like musical transitions and timing of dances) that we would have otherwise not considered. We mean this in the best way possible, but we hardly even noticed the DJ we were assigned to (Justin) was at our wedding as he blended in perfectly! The audio was perfect (everyone could hear our personal vows, speeches, and music the entire night), seamless transitions, and minimal announcements. It was important to us to not have a "gimmicky" announcer-like DJ, and Justin honored this beautifully. We can honestly say there were no audio/musical hiccups in our 7+ hour event day. Highly recommend Maine Maine Weddings!

I knew we were in great hands as soon as our consultation began. Ryan is incredibly professional and has a ton of helpful knowledge regarding the flow and timing of the wedding day. He made the planning process so easy, and we especially appreciated having access to an app that allowed us to personalize so many moments of the day. We were fortunate enough to have Ryan DJ our wedding ceremony and reception, but I'm willing to bet the rest of the DJs on his team are fantastic too. Our guests had an absolute blast and I'm so thankful Ryan was a part of our day.
Maine Made Weddings is a great company! I would highly recommend them for your wedding. Communication with Ryan was great and everything is done through an app that's easy to use and keeps everything organized. I took off one star because all pre-wedding communication is done through Ryan, but it's not guaranteed that he's going to be your DJ. I knew this was the case when I hired them, but I wish we got to meet with the DJ who did our wedding face-to-face before the day. He did a great job, but we weren't able to meet him until our wedding.
Ryan helped to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. From our first call with planning, I knew he was going to be the right fit for us.
Maine Made Weddings really considers the auditory experience of the wedding day from guest arrival all the way through until the dance floor closing, something I greatly appreciated. This approach was extremely helpful for planning as well because it made us consider the guest experience from arrival to departure.
Ryan set us up with the Vibo DJ app and we were able to craft the soundtrack for our wedding to our liking, but he also gave us the option of deferring to him based on preferred genre/vibe. His guidance throughout the process was invaluable.
On our wedding day, Ryan was perfect for the whole day. He was also extremely flexible given some last-minute music additions.
We've heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests about the music – do yourself a favor for your Maine wedding and hire Ryan! You will not regret it, and the value you get for your money is fantastic.
