Literally could not have pulled it off without Julie. We had a last-minute change in venue with only 6 weeks before the date. It was a potential logistics nightmare! But with Julie's help, guidance, positive attitude, calm demeanor and professionalism - our wedding was a dream. I'm impressed with her diligence and ability to wrangle a bunch of distracted partying people to keep things moving. I'm sure it wasn't easy! She took care of everything so we could simply enjoy our day - and she absolutely succeeded. We, and everyone at the party, had a blast. A night to remember. She listened to our needs and incorporated detail beyond our expectations. She handled herself like a professional when faced with conflicting situation with a guest or two. We chose to work with MEPC/Julie after vetting 10 wedding planners for a 3-day weekend wedding. We decided to work with Julie because she was incredibly genuine and made us feel comfortable with the planning we needed to do ahead of us. We spent roughly 8 months planning together. Julie was patient, resourceful, and had a clear timeline. She was able to help coordinate the logistics of our 10 vendors and think through every detail we would need for the weekend. After months of planning, everything came together and our wedding weekend was a huge success. She brought her A team to assist. Every little detail was taken care of, we were on time, everything was beautifully designed, and there were no issues. She made sure we had the opportunity to enjoy and live in the present. The strength of this company is Julie, the owner. Julie is thoughtful, considerate and wears her heart on her sleeve. She will truly care about you and also works well with the vendors you choose. Everyone who works with her has so much respect for her, which indicates her kind approach. It's hard to put into words how thrilled we are to have worked with Julie, who made our wedding day absolutely perfect! One of the first things Julie said when we met her, was that she wanted to make wedding planning an enjoyable process for us. Somehow, despite planning a wedding with only three months notice, she was able to do exactly that. Julie not only eased the stress of planning a wedding, she made our wedding day even better than we could have hoped. She was incredibly kind, organized, and on top of things that we would have never thought of on our own. I highly recommend Julie Guerette and The Maine Event Co. Our daughter’s wedding had so many pieces to coordinate, made even more complicated by the fact that the couple were in Alaska, I was in Vermont, and the wedding/reception were in two different locations in Maine. Julie’s help with planning and executing gave me incredible peace of mind – what a great feeling that was! From arranging signage to coordinating vendors and venue, from advice on timing to overseeing setup, from lending us her own beverage station to being present during the wedding and reception to ensure everything went smoothly, Julie was a rock star and a joy to work with. She has the experience, connections, attention to detail, and enthusiasm to create a successful and delightful event of any kind.

Julie did a wonderful job as our day-of coordinator for our June 2019 wedding. This was not an easy task: there were many moving parts to our wedding, with 10+ vendors arriving at different points during the day and many DIY elements that she had to assemble – all of the decorations, table settings, chairs, etc. The weather was also particularly challenging that day! What started off as a hot sunny day turned to thunderstorms and even hail (coastal Maine!) about 1 hour before the outdoor ceremony, causing us to need to shift the order of events to have an earlier cocktail hour and delay the ceremony while the rain passed. Julie hustled around all day to make everything happen, to dry chairs, to rearrange flowers, to instruct the DJ and multiple food and beverage providers on the changing plans, and to move guests where they needed to go. In the end, the wedding was beautiful and everyone had a great time, due in large part to Julie’s ability to work behind the scenes to make the day go off without a hitch. She has an intuitive sense for what needs to happen next, and can foresee problems before they arise. We were so fortunate to have Julie running point on our wedding day.
