Our guests loved every second of our wedding and we couldn't have done it without the Maine Wedding Barn and Event Center team!

They were very accommodating with last minute changes in plan due to weather and were extremely attentive the whole weekend and were making sure we were having a perfect day. Their coordination with our other vendors was also excellent and everyone worked together like clockwork! Our wedding day was all we could have hoped for and Barbara and John are a large reason for that!

We have gotten so many compliments on our choice of the Maine Wedding Barn for our venue and it was one of our best decisions we made throughout our whole wedding process!

nd after seeing the space and meeting Barbara, we sealed the deal and cancelled all our other visits. One of our favorite things was that it was essentially all-inclusive, so we didn't need to worry about who would clean up, who would direct our rehearsal, or who would serve drinks--it was all taken care of. Barbara is such a professional. She was clear about what she needed and when, which made planning feel like a breeze. She helped us create an event that felt so US, and I was able to just relax (as much as a bride can) and enjoy the day knowing nothing would fall through the cracks. And of course, the barn itself is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking! We held our ceremony outside and couldn't have asked for a better backdrop than the fall leaves. Absolutely recommended!!

She asked us about small things we hadn't even considered that would have been messy. She truly does it allllll! I decided to use the bridal house for the day. Barbara and John were already there making everything perfect when I arrived that morning. She came into the house multiple times to see if I needed anything but was not in any way pushy or intrusive. She coordinated all the guests and made sure everything ran smoothly. There was not a moment all night that I worried or had to think about what was next. I made a mistake and did not have eggs for my grandmother (that's all she can eat), she was starving and not feeling well. The MOST amazing part--My husband asked Barbara and John if there was any way to get eggs from somewhere. Just like that eggs appeared and were cooked. I could go on for hours about how amazing everything was. I wouldn't change a thing, it was absolutely perfect!!!!!!!

was 180 people ) could stay inside and still have room to move around. The tables were all seat up for us when we got there the morning of the wedding so all I had to do was the centerpieces. The barn just has so many lights and decorations that you don't need to decorate it it's already done for you all you have to do is the centerpieces. I love how Barbara ( the owner ) was there all day to help you. Everyone that went to this wedding is saying that it's the best wedding they have ever been to.

wagon wheels, barrels, and benches to name a few. Luckily, the weather was wonderful for us, so we were able to have our ceremony outdoors at the gazebo as planned. Barbara and her other staff members at the Maine Wedding Barn & Event Center were extremely helpful. They not only provide the chairs for the ceremony, but also arrange them as you wish on the lawn. She also coordinates time to keep you on schedule for the day, which was very helpful for me with so many things going on throughout the day. The bridal farmhouse was very cozy where my bridesmaids and I got ready for the day. This space was very helpful! As for the reception, we had ours inside of the barn. It is absolutely stunning inside. Pictures do not do this barn justice. Personally, we did not have to decorate the venue because it is so gorgeous as is. If you are even considering having your wedding here, get a tour of the barn— you will fall in love instantly. I know my husband and I did. Our guests loved it as well. Again, Barbara and her staff help take care of the little things you would not think to consider. The tables and chairs were set up perfectly when I arrived with my maid of honor the morning of the wedding. We essentially just had to come in with our things such as plates, silverware, photo booth props, guestbook, favors, etc. to place those where we wanted. Basically, the venue took care of the set up and clean up. As far as the price, being one of the first weddings of 2017, fortunately we were able to catch one of the specials for renting the barn. Otherwise, this venue would not have been an option for us. Although the venue is stunning, I personally believe that it may be a little bit overpriced; but I may be biased because our wedding was originally supposed to be fairly small and inexpensive. As our guest list grew, we knew we needed a place to hold all our family and friends. Some downsides that future brides may have here is that you are required to get insurance for the day of the wedding which we were told is included in homeowners insurance 99% of the time. Barbara was very helpful with that aspect. Another downside for some might be that the venue requires professional catering (with a license). This caught us off guard because we had originally intended on doing a BBQ themed menu with the help of a few family friends who are chefs. Unfortunately, we were unable to do that causing us to spend more money on catering. There can be added costs that pop up here and there depending on what you may choose to have at your wedding. I feel as though you may have that at almost any venue. I will say that I wish some things were communicated a little bit better before signing the contract such as the professional catering. It may have been slightly unclear. However, other than that, I felt that Barbara was very willing and more than happy to help us make our day special! Overall, I felt that the venue offered us, our family, and our friends so many memories that we will cherish forever. It was such an amazing day! As long as you are aware of all costs and expectations, it is a wonderful venue to host your special day at. I highly recommend the Maine Wedding Barn & Event Center!

of the Maine Wedding Barn, Barbara was extremely pleasant and communicative through our planning process. As our date quickly approached Barbara kept in very close contact with us and even gave me her personal phone number to contact her about anything I may have needed. The day of our wedding I was shocked with how amazing the wedding grounds looked and the barn was just as gorgeous and breathtaking as always. What shocked me even more than the view of everything was how absolutely amazingly helpful the owner and her husband were with everything. They were up on ladders at 8am hanging our decorations, they were outside in the cold setting up our chairs, and they seemed happy to do it. Barbara and her husband made it very clear that they were willing to help us with anything and everything that day. It had hailed at one point on our day after we had set all the chairs up- we brought rags to wipe them down just in case since the forecast was unclear with rain- by the time we went to go wipe our wet chairs down Barbara and her husband had already done it. We rented the farm house for our wedding party to get ready in, and Barbara visited frequently to make sure we were doing well, but also gave us our space as we prepared for our wedding. At the end of the night they were there to help us pick up everything and bring boxes and boxes to our car. They really did an amazing job with making our day go smoothly and making sure we were stress free. Our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue and the awesome staff. Our wedding was just perfect, and I would not change anything at all especially the amazing venue we picked. I highly recommend the Maine Wedding Barn to any bride who is looking for an elegant rustic stress free wedding venue that comes with an extremely pleasant and helpful owner and staff.

d costs. We had to purchase insurance to cover our wedding. You are responsible for trash removal. The costs of cleaning are not included in the costs to rent the event. You can either clean the barn yourself (pick up cigarette butts, vacuum and mop the floors of the barn and the bathrooms) or pay $400 to cover the cleaning costs. We were told that were responsible to have the table linens cleaned or to cover the costs for this. We had a cash bar and there were tip jars at the bar for our guests to tip. The owner told us that we were responsible for "a customary 18% gratuity for the total bar tab at the end of the night." We refused to pay this and reviewed our contract (this was something that was never mentioned) and did not have to pay this additional cost. They are not flexible re: alcohol. We wanted to purchase a keg of beer (something that Martindale, Saddleback and the Hardy Barn will offer). The owner offered to sell us a keg for $660 with an added 18% gratuity on top of the costs. I e-mailed the owner mentioning what other venues offered and to see if this was the standard cost for a keg at her venue and she never e-mailed me back. The owner bar tended at our wedding and several of our guests later told us that they felt that they were over charged after paying $8 for a mixed drink that consisted primarily of juice or soda (two of the guests that mentioned this to us were a bar tender and a local restaurant owner). The barn is gorgeous, but there are a lot of headaches and unnecessary stress.
