e are very careful about the expectations we set. As we stated to you our cancellation in which we refunded your site fee 100%, we hold the value of our staff, kind and professional communication, and the sanctity of our venue most dear. This is the first event we’ve ever had to cancel. It’s unfortunate that you and your mother chose to verbally abuse our team on many occasions. The last incident was absolutely not acceptable. We will never tolerate this type of behavior. You expressed your clear disappointment of the speed at which our plants are growing, which is truly left to Mother Nature and our gardening team who have cultivated over 1200 plants on our grounds in under a year. We are very proud of the transformation and look forward to the growing beauty in future years. You also were disappointed by the whiteness of our gravel, which we cannot expect to replace until Fall as there is a building product shortages due to COVID. We responded by painting 20,000 sq ft of grey gravel white at our expense to appease you, but this still disappointed you. You also were angry about a greenhouse that will not be built until October but was not a part of your event. We offered you a completely free cancellation more than 30 days prior to your event. You did not respond. Yes, linens do cost between $10 and $14 a linen. If you have more than one table however, you do need to multiply the cost of the linen by the number of tables that you have. We do not control the cost of linen rentals, and we are always up front and clear that linens are not included in our venue rental as we cannot properly clean and care for them on site. We do not have any additional fees besides our site fee and we don’t even charge an administration fee as most venues do. You did fail to mention that we saved you $125 by offering to pick up and return linens for you, as well as offer you our vintage plates, flatware, glasses candelabras and additional decor at no cost. A cost savings of at least $400 of rentals. We are honored to be a beautiful venue that is a place that so many families choose to create memories. We will always treat our clients with fairness, kindness and care. We expect nothing less from our clients. Our team is very hardworking and should be afforded the utmost respect at all times.
