Maison May was the perfect wedding venue for us. The planning and event was seamless and stress free from beginning to end from the responsive, warm and professional owner and coor...
dinator interactions, the staff, the food, the ambiance, the intimacy. This venue was absolutely what my husband and I were envisioning. We planned our wedding in less than a month and felt completely taken care of and worry free. Our garden ceremony was perfect as well. Thank you Catherine and Claudia. Jet and I are looking forward to having more celebrations there in the future!
We were so floored by the experience we had with Maison May. We knew we were in for something wonderful because of the many kind interactions we had with Catherine and Claudia lead...
ing up to the wedding day, but we could never have imagined the level of care we received.
Our wedding day saw a deluge of rain not seen for decades, causing floods and generally bringing most things screeching to a halt. Fortunately the beautiful Maison May building was unaffected and what’s more, Claudia reached out to us to let us know not to worry about set up, that their team was on it and everything would be ready for us whenever we were able to arrive. Fortunately we were not too delayed in the end but were amazed to find the space beautifully laid out and the Maison May bartender waiting with a drink to calm our nerves. Our initial plans of having the ceremony in the backyard were dashed by the weather but we found the parlor to be a truly lovely experience, with great acoustics and lighting for the ceremony.
Throughout the night Claudia and her team personally checked in on us often, even finding us on the dance floor if we were in need of something in particular. The food was delicious and plentiful, the drinks fresh and tasty and the atmosphere, just what we had hoped for. We were pitched that the space was meant to feel like a dinner party, and it did. What we didn’t know was that it would feel like some loving (and stylish!) family members had thrown the party for us.
We are so grateful that we chose Maison May as our venue, it felt incredibly special and warm despite the disastrous weather. We would not hesitate to recommend Maison May and would be so glad to return for future events.
We couldn't be happier with our choice of wedding venue! Between the classic brownstone look, the intimate feel, the impeccable food and service, and the helpful and kind organizer...
s, it was truly the perfect place for such an important event. We highly recommend this venue for any event!
We absolutely adored this venue and all the staff we worked with along the way. The space is so beautiful, so all we really needed were floral arrangements, otherwise it truly spok...
e for itself! It was the perfect intimate venue that was exactly what we were looking for. Also some of the most delicious wedding food I have ever eaten!! We heard so many positive things from our guests about both the beauty of the venue and the tastiness of the food. Highly recommend this venue if you are planning a small wedding in the NYC area.
Maison May was such a wonderful venue for our wedding! We wanted someplace small and intimate, and the space was everything we could've hoped for. The location already has a great ...
rustic urban vibe to it, and we didn't feel we had to change anything or decorate to get great wedding photos. The staff set everything up for us and made sure we didn't have to worry about the little details. We had a brunch wedding, and the food was amazing! We would highly recommend this venue!
They were an amazingly accommodating venue. The food was delicious, the drinks were wonderful, the staff was very attentive and so nice. The day was absolutely perfect.
My husband and I had an absolutely gorgeous wedding at Maison May. The venue is charming, beautiful, and intimate. We had a smaller wedding- there were 58 total guests, which we f...
ound to be perfect amount for the venue. We were married outside in the garden, had a seated family-style dinner downstairs and outside, and cocktail hour and dancing was upstairs. The food was superb- all of our guests raved about it and I loved that it was family style so that everyone could try some of everything. To my surprise, they sent us home with leftovers!
Claudia, Bri, and their team did a wonderful job with the planning, decorating, and executing and really went the extra mile to give us everything we wanted at our wedding. The staff was all lovely and seemed to genuinely be happy to be working our wedding, which just added to the wonderful atmosphere of the evening.
We also had our rehearsal dinner around the corner at their cafe- Maison May Vanderbilt. Kat helped us plan that and it was absolutely beautiful with equally excellent food.
Amazing. THANK YOU Claudia, Kat and to the entire team who made our wedding so special, and exactly as we'd wished. The venue is gorgeous, the food delicious, and you made us feel ...
so at ease. A perfect day, and one we'd do all over again.
The first thing you need to know, is that everything on their menu is organic and bought at local NY farms, which means the menu changes every season. I had an autumn wedding and t...
herefore, autumn inspired food was served. Everyone, and I mean everyone including the pickiest of eaters (there were a handful of those in my family) ate everything and thoroughly enjoyed it all. Weeks later, people are still telling me how much they loved the food.
The restaurant itself is in a revamped brownstone, which I loved. There is a garden patio outside for a ceremony, and upstairs is the White Room for the reception. Yes, it's all white including the floor. The white room works with any color theme you may have for your wedding. I chose white/black with a hint of red. It was simple and elegant, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
The people here, were nothing but amazing. They answered all of my questions, and truly understand that this is your big day, and will ensure that everything goes according to plan. I highly recommend this place!
