Makayla is a true professional and artist. She not only captured our day beautifully, but she also contributed so much joy to the atmosphere. It was like having a bonus friend, making the day all the more special because she was there. We could not have been more thrilled with Makayla and with the photos we have cherished each day since our wedding!

We have had Makayla for 2 sessions, a family session and our 1 year old's birthday shoot and she captured the most incredible photos. She guided us into the most perfect natural photos. We will cherish these forever.

Makayla was absolutely fantastic! Less than a month out from our wedding, our other photographer cancelled, which was a total blessing in disguise. Makayla saved the day in so many ways! She’s so kind, and did an excellent job at directing the madness that is wedding photos. It was very clear that she put in the time and effort to plan for our day to go smoothly. She was very communicative throughout our process and made sure that leading up to the wedding, as well as the day of, my wife and I were getting the experience that we wanted. She went above and beyond and even helped my wife get into her wedding dress! Thanks to her artful direction and skillful eye, we received so many gorgeous photos (which, by the way, she had uploaded to our gallery within ONE WEEK!). All that being said, she is a true professional. She’s organized and knows very well how to manage people in the midst of a wedding, and do so with a smile. Makayla McGarvey is your dream photographer, she knows every pose in the book on the spot, she makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed for us non photogenic people. There was not a single photo that I received back from her that I wasn’t happy with. All of the photos looked very natural and she always made sure to get the best side of you. It was a blast getting photos done by her and I would never go to anyone else. The quality of her photos are amazing and she has the perfect eye to capture all the perfect moments. Makayla goes everywhere and is the best wherever she goes. Whats even better than looking through her albums of everyone else is when you get to go through your own album and fall not only in love with beautiful photos you got back but also the memories you made getting them taken. Makayla gets your photos back to you very fast and sends you seek peeks along the way which is very exciting as you’re anxiously waiting to see how they turned out. Also don’t even worry about location, Makayla knows the land. She is one heck of a gal and explores for the best locations for her photography sessions. She can make a bare dry desert even look beautiful and if your worried about the weather or timing, don’t be Makayla comes packed with all the gear you could need for any situation whether it be rain, darkness or the lighting. Makayla was incredible and easily one of the most responsive and professional vendors we worked with for our wedding. She captured our engagement photos, rehearsal, and wedding day beautifully and we feel so lucky to have these great photos to look back on. She went above and beyond to help everything run smoothly and to make sure she captured the important moments of both days. We were very nervous about having professional pictures taken and did not want them to look staged but Makayla was able to make us feel totally comfortable and captured pictures that were truly reflections of us instead of trying to make it look like a staged bridal magazine. We couldn’t have picked a better photographer and we are so happy with the outcome.

Makayla was one of the first photographers to respond to my request and was able to squeeze us in on such short notice. She gave simple directions so she can get a better understanding on what we expected on the phot shoot. Very professional. Upon first meet, she is social and inviting. She was patient and gave us direction when taking our photos. She also contacted the place where we were taking pictures just to make sure it was okay. Definitely stress free. She communicated and was very professional. I recommend Makayla all the way!

Makayla has been a friend of mine since high school, so when it came time for my fiancé and I to get our engagement pictures taken she was the obvious choice. My fiancé was very nervous and did not know what to expect but she made him feel so natural and comfortable it was amazing. We took our pictures at sunrise on a rainy cloudy day at a river. Makayla took photos of us in our boots and jeans and had so much fun acting ourselves. Then we changed clothes and took romantic photos in the water which was FREEZING but so much fun, and Makayla was right there with us in the water sacrificing her warmth for the best shot. These are my most favorite photos and we have used them everywhere; social media, printed it on a canvas, on our save the dates, and invites. I can not speak more highly of Makaylas personality and her ability to capture the most perfect photos. She will make you and significant other feel so special and you will love the photos she gives back! Another thing is that she is so fast at getting photos back, we got ours back not even 24 hours later! Definitely book her for any wedding photos you are planning to take!

Working with Makayla is a dream! She photographed our engagement, and we knew we had to fly her to our destination wedding after we had our photo shoot and saw the finished images. She's very professional and direct, ensuring we got the photos and emotion we were looking to capture. At the wedding, she captured everything from the first looks, to the sunset veil shots, all the way down to the dance floor dips and guests having a blast. We can't imagine anyone else being there with us, and wouldn't recommend anyone else to capture such special moments. Makayla, thank you for your quick response times and attention to detail. Makayla is an amazing photographer. She has a way of capturing beauty in a way that few can, and seems to somehow capture the right angles in every situation. My girlfriend and I not only felt comfortable with her, but were able to laugh with her and have a great time. We did a hike up a (really steep) mountain for our photo location, and Makayla made it into a ton of fun. She's down for any sort of adventure and truly has an eye for photography. When we received our final album we were insanely impressed with the quality of photos and with the sheer number of amazing photos that she got. Makayla is an AMAZING photographer. She was a surprise to us when my husband proposed and the photos were awesome. We knew that we had to have her shoot our wedding. She has such a keen eye for special moments. Makayla was able to get my husband to actually enjoy take photos!! She is welcoming and supportive with figuring out plans and set ups. Makayla is an absolutely INCREDIBLE photographer. She took engagement photos for me, and she really captured exactly what I was looking for. She took the time to really make sure the photos turned out perfectly and were exactly what I wanted. She was also great at making me feel comfortable during the shoot. I had never had pictures taken like this before, so I was a little nervous! But Makayla kept everything light and fun, and I ended up having the greatest time. Also, it took barely any time at all for her to edit the photos and get them sent out to me. I thought it may take a lot longer, but they were done so quickly! Makayla is clearly extremely passionate and talented at what she does. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer whether that be for wedding photos, engagement photos, senior photos, you name it! She’s just wonderful at it all.

If I could give 10 stars I would! We have done 2 sessions with her so far and every time we got our pictures back we are in complete awe! It’s like she never took a bad picture? She finds ways to always lighten the mood and make you laugh and capture the happiness within the photo without making it feel staged. She hears what you want and makes sure she captures that while finding things you may not realize you wanted captured but are happy to have. I absolutely love having her as our photographer and highly recommend her to anyone!

Makayla is easily my favorite photographer I have worked with! She took my senior photos for college as well as sports photos for my volleyball team. Where do I begin! Makayla is incredible!! My husband and I wanted her for our destination wedding in Ireland because we felt we could really trust her with our big day and we knew she could get the job done with the time we had at our venue!
