Make A Mark Events is a professional DJ, lighting and photo booth company serving all of the New England area. This team of DJs is dedicated to providing professional and enjoyable musical entertainment to every event that they attend. All of the entertainers have extensive resumes in the entertainment world, playing and holding residencies at some of the biggest night clubs in New England, Norwegian Cruise Ships, as well as hosting events all across the U.S. With an impressive knowledge of music across al genres/decades, these disc-spinners are a highly adaptable choice for a wedding party. Make A Mark's Team of DJ's including Kevin, Steve, Travis, and Justin aka Juice - communicate closely with their couples throughout the planning process and the event, paying close attention to details. We know not only how to keep a party going but how to make every event as unique as the couple planning it. We base our sets off of what our clients request and by reading the crowd in front of us at that given moment. From the 70’s to 2000's Hip Hop, to EDM, to today’s hits, we have a full set for every type of crowd. Our DJs are very skilled and have the ability to smoothly blend from song to song. This helps keep the energy constantly moving once we get to party time. Typically we have 1 initial phone chat at the start of the process, directly between you and your potential DJ. This chat only takes about 10 to 15 minutes and is easy and fun. On this call we will ask easy info questions, chat about music for a bit and of course answer any questions that you might have. Kevin was so incredible for our wedding! He was professional and had all of our questions answered ahead of time, and he kept the party going all night long! He seamlessly blended all of our music together, actually DJing instead of just hitting go on a playlist. We got so many compliments on the music!! Couldn’t recommend Kevin and Make a Mark more!

Kevin was an incredible DJ for our wedding. His planning leading up to the big night was seamless and he was a pleasure to work with. Not one person was in the seat for whole night once the dance floor opened! Multiple guests came up to me the night of and the morning after saying how much they enjoyed his music. He doesn't just press play and let the song play, as he actually mixes the songs and is a legit DJ. 10/10 would recommend for any wedding or any other event where a DJ is needed.

Kevin gave us the EXACT experience that we wanted! I can't thank him enough. The dance floor was packed all night long; he played all the songs that we asked for and then some, and our guests were shocked at how talented he is. We met with a few DJs before choosing to work with Kevin, he was so kind, flexible and professional from the start and really wanted to give us the best experience possible, I can't stress enough how important that is. My husband and I were on the dance floor from the first song to the last, I promise you will have a blast if Kevin is your DJ; you will not be disappointed!!

Wow. Kevin Markey was absolutely amazing. I wanted my guests to be on the dance floor all night and even with a crazy snow storm outside he kept everyone there till the very end. My now husband and I are introverts and he was so accommodating to all of the requests made from parents dances to the first dance. If you want to party all night he is your man!! 100000/10.

Steve did an amazing job!! He was super easy to work with and really incorporated everything we wanted. He helped facilitate my bouquet toss fake out when I dedicated my bouquet to my mom and he didn’t even flinch at our 17 speeches/toasts lol. He played beautiful classy tunes through cocktail hour and dinner and then kept the dance floor packed the whole night! He also communicated with us throughout the evening to stay on schedule and keep the right vibe. Everyone has been complimenting our DJ and I would HIGHLY recommend Steve!!

Kevin was such an incredible DJ! He was professional and very easy to work with. Kevin played the perfect mix of throw backs, current hits and some oldies… all with the smoothest transitions. If you are looking for someone professional, and passionate about their role in your big day, look no further. Steve is great at reading the room and kept our guests on the dance floor all night! From the moment we booked, Steve was responsive and committed to making our day what we've always dreamed of! Three months later I am still receiving compliments about the music. Our wedding was the fourth we’ve attended with Kevin as the DJ. As we were planning our wedding, we didn’t need to shop around at all for DJ’s because we knew we wanted Kevin. It was the easiest part of the planning process. Kevin’s great at fading and mixing and knew exactly what we were into after a couple of conversations. He improvised when we realized our officiants didn’t have our vows and immediately put on music he knew people would sing along to while we waited at the alter. If anyone asks us in the future about DJ recommendations, we’ll only provide one. Our only compaint is that all of our friends are married so we don’t know when we’ll be at an event with him again. Thanks for four incredible nights, Kevin!

If you’re in the market for a DJ in the Central MA area, give Steve a call! We needed a quality DJ on relatively short notice for booking a wedding and Steve came highly recommended. We had very good communication about what we were looking for, what our expectation was, how the evening was going to be designed with the music, as well as details about the ceremony (mic options, sound, music, etc.). We completed his worksheet about the evening, sent numerous emails and had a conference call to go over everything to make sure it was going to be perfect. We cannot even tell you how many people have told us that the music and playlists were incredible and how much fun they had dancing the night away. Frankly, as the groom, I could not have asked for anything more! Steve made our dream into a reality. As far as we’re concerned, Steve was A++. Highly recommended!

We recently got married at the Grand View and had Travis as our DJ. Travis was amazing and absolutely rocked our wedding! We got so many compliments about how great the music was! Since day one, Kevin new exactly the energy and vibe we wanted for our special night. He was really open to our requests and was so easy to get along with. He knows his stuff and trusted him throughout the whole night. He really found ways to please the whole crowd while still making it special for my husband and i. We had Justin with Make A Mark Events for our wedding on 11/16/2024. To say he knocked it out of the park would be an understatement. We had guests that night, the following day, and still just earlier today RAVING about how good he was from start to finish. We had an initial call with Justin prior to booking to see how we’d mesh, and clicked right away. We gave him all the genres, what we like and don’t like, and what we were expecting for wedding day. With ample prep and a handful of pre-wedding phone calls, it was clear we were on the same page. Ultimately, based on our discussions we had total trust and confidence in Justin to read the room and vibe of the reception and take it from there. He did not disappoint in the slightest. The dance floor was packed for the full 2-2.5 hours that it was open. We can’t thank Justin enough for being a part of our big day, and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a true professional for their wedding!

We hired Kevin as our wedding DJ and it was one of the best decisions we made throughout the process. From the beginning, Kevin was so accommodating and had us feeling confident in planning. On our wedding day, Kevin’s job as MC was done flawlessly and his equipment and guidance helped execute our ceremony to perfection. Dinner music was refreshing and he mixed in our favorites. But, where Kevin really excels is the reception. Kevin kept the energy going all night with a great mix of music including our own requests. Our guests continued to comment how great he was - and we couldn’t agree more. Kevin stayed fully involved and added an extra flare to DJing that all other wedding DJs we have experienced have lacked. The songs he played and transitions between songs was thoughtfully and intentionally curated, which made for a continuous party with a full dance floor. We also got uplighting through Kevin which created an awesome atmosphere for the whole night. Could not recommend him more for weddings or events - we hope we get to attend one!!

DJ Justin was absolutely fantastic. Pure and simple he was a champ for our wedding day when there was rain on and off all day, he managed to get all his equipment outside for the ceremony and back inside seamlessly. (Sorry for the added stress from that) And during cocktail hour and the dinner his music choice and volume was perfect. Then as the reception and dancing was going to begin, he asked my now wife that he has been working on some different mixes and wanted to go a little off script from our previous conversations. Our wedding was 10/11/24 at Danversport Yacht Club and let me tell you Travis absolutely CRUSHED IT. He was the first vender there to get set up and position his speakers to get ready. From the beautiful ceremony music to causal dinner music Travis found the perfect vibe. Once dinner was finished he had the guests on the dance floor before my wife and I could even get up from our seats. Travis read the room and kept people on the dance floor all night. Steve at Make a Mark Events was great to work with! He provided sound for us during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He had so many people out on the dance floor dancing and having a good time. I don’t think anyone even considered requesting songs because he understood the vibe we were going for and the songs flowed so well. He accommodated our very specific music requests and served as a great emcee in parts of the evening. He was also flexible with the schedule changes we were making up until a few days before the wedding. Many of our guests used the photo booth we rented through them. Make a Mark provided a guest book and promptly delivered the digital copies; they were so fun to look through! No complaints from our experience!

He worked with us prior to the wedding to confirm every song choice, the order of events, and even provided some suggestions for introductions that made the wedding better. When the dancing started, Justin’s song selection was perfect and had everyone from my wife’s Grandma to my friends from high school enjoying the dance floor. Justin also charges a reasonable price and can add or remove services to get within your budget. Kevin was recommended originally to me and my now husband by a client who said her whole wedding said he absolutely killed it, and HE REALLY DOES KILL IT! WOW was my wedding the biggest part I could have imagined, start to finish. He listened to me and the vibe I wanted, while still making sure for all ages. If you’re looking for the best DJ for your wedding look no further than Kevin. From start to finish he made this process so easy for us, and was great to communicate with. The absolute definition of a professional. We even had a special guest appearance by Justin and they truly blew the roof off of the venue. The back to back set they put on has our guests still talking about the reception weeks after. Can’t thank you guys enough for making our wedding day truly special. If anyone needs a DJ for any event, look no further than these guys!

We used DJ Steve from Make A Mark for our 8/24/24 wedding at Cyprian Keyes. He was extremely accommodating with our timeline, easygoing, and good to work with. We had a very specific vision for our first dance and he did not try to talk us out of it (and was very helpful when that vision was not as easily executed). He walked us through the process and answered our questions along the way. The price was extremely reasonable and we also included the photo booth package. I did not know we would get a photobook with all the photos taken as well as digital copies, but these are truly priceless memories. DJ Steve kept so many guests on the dance floor from the moment it was opened up, and they were cheering for an encore at the end of the night lol. I would recommend Steve from make a mark for any DJ needs!

The task of compiling all the vendors needed to pull off a seamless wedding is daunting. Kevin was recommended to us through our venue, Willowdale Estate, and we were absolutely thrilled with his service. First, communication with him is top knotch. From the initial emails, to the preliminary phone call, to the final wrap up meeting, he is very clear on all the information he needs from you to give you the best service possible. He goes over timeline, song selection for all the different parts of the wedding, and takes so much time to make sure he nails your musical preference. I sent him my Spotify Playlist and he integrated all our favorite songs perfectly into the reception. It was phenomenal. He was extremely personable on the phone but even better in person. He made it so easy to make sure everyone who needed a microphone had one at the perfect time and helped make all the speeches go smoothly. We had a song cut for our first dance and he made it very easy to send him the link so he could play the exact version that we practiced our dance to. The best part of it all however, is how much fun you can tell he's having when he's up there doing his thing. You can clearly see that he loves his job during the dancing portion and his love for his work is clearly reflected through the party on the dance floor. I have never seen my father dance in his life and he was up there on the dance floor getting down with everyone else. It was spectacular. He was absolutely an integral part of the perfect wedding, I couldn't recommend Kevin enough. 11/10.

Justin was great! we met him at an event and were very impressed so we decided to hire him for our wedding. He was very professional and also very fun to work with. He was communicative and nailed exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Everyone had so much fun! He was also very self sufficient on our wedding day, knew exactly what to do and where to go to set up. We had a blast and would 100% recommend him to others and hire him again.

Make a Mark Events was an AMAZING company to work with. They made our wedding so much fun and our experience was great.
