the one ! (Thankfully I followed my gut and all recommendations )
I met her at her studio and it was instant chemistry ! We became friends right away — so important because the day of the wedding I needed this energy around me. Not only did we click , but I was impressed at her technique and skills… im honest, I dont really like makeup , and was scared to look “different” the day of my wedding. But Donna knew exactly what to do! It was “my skin but better” and she highlighted my “best features”.
Donna was so kind to schedule hair for the trial as well. I had a vision and they both delivered ❤️
Fast forward, not only did Donna help me with make up, but she organized different teams to visit my family and the family of my husband.
She coordinated like 6 teams of artists to travel to another city, be at the time and place they needed to be in order to help all my guests get ready (my wedding planner did not)
This seems like a lot of help , but its not even half of what Donna did for me !
.. the day before my wedding I realized I was not going to be able to get ready at my apartment , and guess who helped me .. not my wedding planner but DONNA !
She did not have to , at all! But I am so grateful , she got my wedding party and me the MOST beautiful venue to get ready , the entire upper floor and two beautiful rooms at Villa 120.

Villa 120 was gorgeous and dreamy in every possible way. They had refreshments and were so kind to my wedding party and me. Also recommend blindly 10/10.
Back to Donna’s artistry -because thats probably why you are here for- I was complimented all night . My makeup did not smudge , it stayed on all night (I DANCED all night haha) and to be honest , the longer it was on the better it wore as her technique is to blend so seamlessly with your skin.
There are million other things I could say about Donna , but I truly want every bride or anyone interested, to hire Donna .
She was not only my make up artist , but became a planner , a support , a Fairy and a friend I will continue seeing all my life !

y the makeup she had done from the first round, so I had a better understanding of the process and what colors/looks were the best for my skin and dress. After recommending a hydrating skin facial, I followed her advice and my makeup went on even better the day of the wedding! She is the epitome of professionalism and skill. As for hair, I worked with Ratina, an incredible hair stylist. After a few Pintrest photos, she was able to make my wedding hair vision even better than I expected! If she recommends hair extensions (she'll put them in for you and dye them to your hair color), DO IT! You keep them afterwards, but my thin hair could not hold a curl and the extensions were critical for holding the curl and making the look complete. I cannot thank Donna and Ratina enough for making me feel comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day! Their work ethic and attention to detail is second to none; you will not be disappointed.

Despite being from MA my daughters wedding was in NY and Donna and one of her colleagues traveled to NY and spent the day with us getting us ready. Not only did they do our hair and make up at the hotel before we went to the wedding venue, but Donna also traveled to the venue and after photos were taken, Donna retouched everyone's hair and makeup before we walked down the aisle. This is something not many hair/makeup professionals do and it shows how much pride Donna takes in her finished product (the bridal party) and how much she cares for all of us. On the wedding day, it was like meeting back up with old friends - Donna quickly and perfectly executed the makeup for me, me wedding party, and some of my family members, despite the challenges of some of us being 'newbies' to getting our makeup done. Odessa did a fantastic job listening to what each person wanted and creating some amazing vintage looks for me and my bridal party. I loved that she would keep working on it until it was exactly what you wanted. Communication and payment was easy and I felt the prices were reasonable for the great quality of work. One really important thing for me was that after a tough family interaction I started crying a lot before the ceremony and I thought for sure all of my makeup would be ruined but everything was still perfect - I only had to reapply lipstick. The fact that we all still looked good at the end of the night was also a nice surprise I didn't expect.

On the day of my trial, another bride was scheduled for later in the day, but Donna was able to work with our schedules and actually had us do our trials at the same time which truly made the experience more fun. While I had my make-up done, the other bride had her hair styled and then we switched. It was fun experiencing my trial at the same time as another bride as the conversation helped move the tralong and provided an enjoyable shared experience.

She had obviously booked another wedding right after me. She rushed in did our makeup and left before she had even asked me if I liked my makeup. She hired someone else to do my hair and that person was lovely but she also was in a rush and dashed out before I had a chance to look and make some edits.
I don't usually write bad reviews, I particulary want to support female owned businesses but I'd hate to have another Bride's day tarnished by Donna.
Poor service, organization and rates are very high.

e many steps to climb .. At the time I was suffering from a back condition where I could not lift.
I made the bride fully aware of that in advance.
. I arrived on New Year’s Eve. I Took my time with her two daughters and created the effects they wanted.. I talked about skin care ,makeup tips and and they shared and confided in me about different aspects of their life as girls do.
They were lovely . At that point I did the bride, I took my time doing her makeup approximately 60 minutes..
Wile my hair artist was working on the daughters. as I did their Mom’s makeup. I was working on bringing out the beautiful color of her eyes..
I kept it natural, I spoke to her about different tips and tricks to use to minimize any aging that comes as we get older. She also asked me if I would take her oldest daughter out makeup shopping and discuss what she would need because she’s of the age where she’s concerned about her appearance . And I agreed to take her.
She asked me how much it would be and I said “absolutely no charge..I responded there would be complementary . She was lovely and she has a beautiful family. When I was done I asked if her son could help me again Carry out my heavy cases. Instead he decided to leave 2 minutes before I did Instead of helping with the cases.
I had to struggle down the stairs with my makeup cases ..it was very trying with my back issue.
I had another appointment when I was done..
I was finished and packed up I did not have much more time to spend.
When I arrived the Family did not sit down so we could begin for 30 minutes.. The bride was very happy with how she looked and the girls also..
My hair artist was finishing the Bride’s hair when I left. Everything was appropriately done , and I told her that she could Venmo me or mail a payment check ... I also agreed to reduce the price of her Daughter’s because they were not for official adults , since they were both in school. Both of them did have full makeup ,including airbrush just without lashes. I’m really disheartened to read that someone would actually write that after you went out of the way and had fabulous correspondence with them before the event and you were promised help bringing your things in an out.. Instead I was left to your carry everything on my own... She looked lovely !

On the actual wedding weekend, I had my hair and makeup done for the rehearsal dinner, along with 8 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and myself for the wedding day. Additionally, I had two looks for my wedding day (one for first-look and pictures, one for ceremony and reception), and touch-ups for the bridesmaids/moms before the ceremony. Donna did a fantastic job keeping us on schedule; she and her team were prompt, professional, and a lot of fun to work with. The hair and makeup was beautiful, and I so appreciated they were willing to go the extra mile and wait for us to finish photos before doing touch-ups and the second (!) look for the ceremony and reception. I highly recommend working with Donna and her team for your wedding!

Donna was willing to travel out to the island (hallelujah) and did absolutely beautiful work on hair/makeup for myself as well as for my mother and mother in law. She is incredibly skilled and was able to work with various skin tones. As a woman of color with medium to deep skin tone, my mother has lighter skin tone and my mother-in-law is Caucasian (with fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes). Donna was able to work with all of us using airbrush makeup to create a flawless complexion! Despite only having done a makeup trial and no actual hair trial, she was effortlessly able to create beautiful and elegant hairdos that were exactly what we wanted. Everyone offered such beautiful compliments! Donna is also a joy to work with. She is personable, calm, funny and professional! Even further she went out of her way to help me get dressed and out the door to be married! I followed up with her in person and was greeted with hugs and kisses! At this point Donna seems more like a friend than a vendor. I am so glad I found her, as I was losing hope after doing trials with a few other cosmetologists- one that made me look like a corpse and the other who made me look like a pole dancer. You will absolutely be happy if you choose to work with her, as she is incredibly skilled and experienced working with various skin tones and colors, is reliable, professional, reasonably priced and has a fantastic personality!
