I was lucky enough to have the owner of Makeup and Talent Hawaii, Kymberly Marr do my makeup as I was an attendant in a wedding on Maui. Kymberly is an exceptionally talented artist. She was able to create the exact look that I communicated to her (I also loved the makeup products that Kymberly created herself). The hair artist who worked for Kymberly curled and styled my hair to replicate the photo I had sent to them in advance. I was thrilled with my beauty services and I highly recommend Makeup and Talent Hawaii.

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Makeup and talent Hawaii and had a consult with Kymberly Marr. She applied make up in a way that made me feel totally natural, while completely elevating my look. I absolutely love color and shimmer, but I had read articles and been told that if you are not careful, they are not always flattering as you age. Not only did Kymberly help me look flawless, but she also walked me through the steps to get the look for myself and apply the make up in the most flattering ways. I loved the make-up from the application so much, I bought several pieces, and I have subsequently bought even more overtime. Her products are vegan, earth-friendly, incredibly high quality, and as good as any high-end product, if not better. My favorite products are her tinted SPF moisturizer, which is the perfect coverage and can be layered for more coverage, the liquid sunshine in Maui glow to get the perfect sun-kissed look, and her water-resistant mascara. Whether it’s your wedding day, you need some advice on how to spruce up your look, or you just want to try a new look, Make Up and Talent Hawaii and Kymberly Marr Cosmetics are 100% reliable.

My partner and I chose to elope to Maui and as someone who wanted the best, my research led me to Kymberly and I was thrilled and honored that she and her colleague and hairstylist Lori did my makeup and hair for the big day. I sent Kymberly a video tutorial of a look I wanted to replicate and she did it flawlessly while also tweaking it to best complement my features. I wanted to go for a natural, soft glamour and that's exactly what Kymberly and Lori helped me achieve. They are not only especially skilled in makeup and hair, they are also fun, laid-back and super fun to talk to. I cannot recommend them enough :)

Wow! Kymberly Marr (owner, make-up stylist and designer of products) was the absolute best! I got married on Maui Jan 19, 2023. Kymberly and her hair stylist came to pamper and beautify my bridesmaids and myself. She made the day fun and we felt more beautiful than ever before. I actually looked in the mirror and almost didn't recognize the hâute couture model staring back at me! Kimberly sent us off to the ceremony with some of her beautiful products. This included her "lippies" (cute coined name for her lipglosses) and lipliners and small powder and applicators (and a mascara for me). I know the products were included in the package we paid for, but they were full size and such great quality. So much so, I contacted Kymberly and asked what foundation she used. To my surprise, it was a mineral tinted spf 20!? and "maui glow" bronzer I bought both these products and even when self applied, they make me feel as beautiful as the day of my wedding! I could go on and on, but its not necessary. You get it 😉. If you are on Maui amd need professional make-up and hair styling definitely book Makeup and Talent Hawaii

I contacted Kymberly to complete the makeup and hair for my daughter and I. Kymberly was really responsive answered all my questions and helped me through all the various options I had available to me. She adjusted my bill and consistently reminded me what was in my package so that I wasn’t paying more. The day of the event she showed up at my door on time and with all of her stuff. The girls switched between my daughter and I with efficiency. We gave them both our likes and dislikes and let them go to town! I don’t think either of us have ever looked that good together before! They know what they are doing and we could not have been happier with the results! Kymberly’s makeup is amazing, I love her mascara and lipsticks!!

While I did not book Kymberly for a wedding, I was in Hawaii on a baby moon. I hired her to do my hair and makeup for my maternity photoshoot. I highly recommend Kymberly for any special occasion if you want to look your absolute best!! She is an outstanding professional. She has an in-depth questionnaire that one fills out ahead of time so that she knows what look you want. Kymberly Marr is an amazingly talented makeup artist and beautiful spirit overall. During my visit to Hawaii, I scheduled a photography session at the Grand Wailea Maui Resort. I found Kymberly Marr through a Google search and was able to easily contact her by phone. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and she took the time to understand the look that I wanted to have. When Kymberly arrived, she was timely, and I genuinely enjoyed the hour that we spent together. We talked about life, love, and everything in between, and she provided me with great recommendations of things to do while I was in Maui. Not to mention, my makeup was flawless. The photographer was in awe of the beautiful job done by Kymberly, and the photographs turned out beautifully. I would not hesitate to use Kymberly's services again.

I have known Kymberly for a few years now, and she has always been so kind and the epitome of a graceful and professional business woman. I purchased her new mascara and WOW! It went on so smooth, absolutely zero clumps or uneven application. I am in love!! I also purchased her lip gloss "Sugar Beach". I am not one to wear anything on my lips, other than carmex. But her gloss is just yummy. It feels so good on and isn't heavy at all. I actually feel like my lips are protected but not masked...if that makes sense. My now-husband and I eloped in Maui in October 2018 and Kymberley and Oona did a beautiful job with my hair and make up. I showed them a few ideas of the look I was going for and they managed to create exactly what I was hoping for. I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day and can't thank them enough. The vibe was also very chilled out which suited us perfectly (they even let my husband choose the music and made him feel very welcome). Definitely recommend Kymberley if you are getting married or have a special occasion in Maui.

Kymberly Marr is, not only an excellent makeup artist, she goes above and beyond! After reaching out to her only 5 weeks before my wedding, she was more than supportive to help this anxious bride-to-be find a new Officiant (Rev. Joe Miles, who is amazing btw)! She's very responsive, professional, kindhearted and accommodating. I felt like I was just getting my makeup done by a good friend. I cannot say enough positive things about her. I wanted airbrush foundation so I went with her Makeup Gold Package and my makeup turned out better than I could've imagined. It lasted all evening, except for the lipstick lol. Luckily, the package included a customized bag for touch-ups. I was glowing in our wedding pictures and video! Hairstylist, Gena, set my beachy curls to last (even with Maui humidity). I was particular about wanting a bit of my hair pulled back but still having it look like it was down from the front and, right away, she knew what I meant and perfected the look I was going for, plus added flowers. Both of these ladies made me feel and look so beautiful and special on my wedding day! Kym is more than just an artist... she's a sweet, genuine person who truly cares. We were eloping on the island so none of our family/ friends were there... Kym was so sweet to take pictures and videos of my fiancé and I as we were leaving her cottage to go get hitched. It was something I didn't think too much of at the time but looking back at the pictures and videos--I will cherish them forever! I highly recommend Makeup and Talent Hawaii! Kymberly is absolutely amazing! We wanted to do a fun girls get together, and chose to do a group private makeup lesson with Kym. I’m so lucky I found Kymberly! I needed my makeup done for my wedding and only had a few days to find someone. Kym returned my call right away and was so nice and professional. On the day of, she came to our condo and made me feel so at ease like one of my close friends was doing my makeup. The colors she chose complemented my face and my wedding dress so perfectly. My makeup looked great in the photos and I was just really pleased with the whole experience and final outcome. She listened to what I wanted and made the whole process so enjoyable. Kymberly and her team were just amazing! They were very professional, but also so fun to be with as we prepared for my wedding. They gave use many recommendations for our time on the island. She was able to deliver the looks we requested and we were all very impressed. It was so convenient that she was able to come right to the place we were staying and brought 3 assistants so hair and makeup was done quickly! Kymberly and her team did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup for my wedding 8/24 in Makawao, HI. She did just as I requested: natural look with side hairdo, single lashes, and hair extensions. I didn't recognize myself in the mirror at first because the work was so beautiful and it's been so long since I have had a full makeover. I am thoroughly satisfied with her work on me and thankful that everything turned out perfectly.

Where to start, Kymberly and her assistant were amazing, they did my wedding makeup and mine and my daughters hair. They both did a beautiful job. 6am start and were finished at 8am. They made me feel so beautiful for my 25th wedding vow renewal. They both were extremely friendly and professional.

5 Stars and more! If you are looking for hair and makeup services, book with Kymberly! You have to put a lot of trust into things when having a destination wedding, not getting a trial run and for an early morning wedding like we did, relying on someone to be there for you at 6am! My expectations were exceeded! I liked that her service gave you the option of them coming to you, making the morning so much easier. It was great to be able to correspond via email with quick, professional and what felt like caring responses from the first email forward. Kymberly and her hair stylist, Bri, were on time and ready to go. She had my notes with her from our initial conversations, but both of them still checked in as we went to make sure I was happy. They were both friendly and fun to talk with. Hair and makeup were exactly what I wanted, and both held up perfectly through the day and evening. I was extremely pleased and truly believe any bride would be in the best of hands!

Kymberly and her team were amazing. I've only had my make-up professionally done a couple times in my life, but I'm very picky about my make-up and how it looks. This particular occasion was very special as it was my wedding. I took a chance on Makeup and Talent Hawaii since I had chosen them from my home...in Arizona! I never did a trial run so it all came down to the big day and let me tell you, they did not let us down. I paid for hair and make-up for myself and my bridal party. We each have different looks; from type of hair to shade of skin. Kymberly and her team exceeded our expectations. They accommodated every single lady. I realize their skills are most important, but I have to highlight their customer service. Each artist was so thoughtful and kind. One artist took time to give my maid of honor makeup and skin advice. Another took time to give me advice about my big day and discussed energy healing. They all spread such positive vibes and it's exactly what I needed on this day. I cannot thank you ALL enough. Thank you for your time, your kindness and your skills. My husband and I were in Maui for our vow renewal. Kym did my makeup and it was flawless. She even gave me suggestions on how to do my makeup and what products to buy. Bri did my hair which was awesome! Kym and Bri make a great team! They both were so welcoming to us.

Kym did my makeup for my rehearsal dinner and wedding. She is amazing!! I was terrified of looking like a clown, since I don’t normally wear much makeup. She listened to my needs and did such a beautiful job. She was able to enhance my features with makeup, but it was so natural I still looked like me! I also love that she preps your skin and uses luxury products. Worth every penny! If you ever get the chance, you need to give Kym a call!

Kymberly does my wife's makeup for special occasions. My wife always looks and feels beautiful afterwards! Her makeup lasts all night and she wakes up with her lashes still on! Kym does amazing work, is very professional and does exactly what we ask for.

Kymberly and team did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, my mom, my mil, and my great aunt for my wedding day (I had already booked my HMU before realizing that there was so much interest in getting HMU done for the rest of the bridal party :(). I couldn't believe how beautiful everyone looked! We're a group of gals that wears *maybe* mascara on any given day so any amount of makeup can make us feel like clowns, but Kymberly was respectful and thoughtful in how she applied makeup and made sure to check in along the way. I feel like a total jerk because I can't remember the name of the woman who helped with hair, but she was amazing as well! Again, she listened to what each woman wanted and executed flawlessly!

Having planned our entire destination wedding from the East Coast, I really relied on website reviews of the vendors we chose being that we couldn't meet them in person. The reviews left here perfectly reflect Kym's professionalism and extreme talent. Kym did my makeup, as well as my two sisters and mom's makeup for my wedding day. Travelling all the way from Scotland to get married on Maui, I had to put a lot of trust in the services we were using. Our wedding planner recommended Kym and I am super glad she did. I was extremely happy with both my hair & makeup for my wedding day. Both Oona & Kymberly were so warm & welcoming & very professional. Kymberly was always quick to respond to any queries I had via email. I sent photos of the type of looks I wanted prior to the day & they recreated them perfectly. Both my hair & makeup lasted well into the night, remaining flawless & my lashes even lasted an extra day! I wouldn't hesitate recommending Makeup & Talent to anyone wanting hair & makeup for their wedding day.

The makeup looked very nice, but it wasn't exactly what we were promised and Kym was slightly unprofessional. Kym talked a lot about specializing in natural looking makeup, but the result on the bride was definitely not natural looking. It still made the bride look beautiful, but we would have preferred the original agreement of a natural, clean look over what we received. The other missing star is for a few off-handed, slightly racist remarks about people she is living near. We didn't really want to hear about your discomfort living nearby to people with different cultural norms than you. Ultimately, greatly skilled with makeup, but could have provided better service.

I make certain my clients are completely satisfied and pleased with their makeup & hair services before I ever depart. I am always open to making any adjustments or any modifications. I have videos & photos of his bride's initial reaction to viewing her makeup, she says she “likes it” and “thinks it’s pretty”. I have multiple photos and videos of both of them smiling, happily after their beauty services. It was never communicated to me or my team that either one of them were unhappy or wanted any adjustments. I am happy to hear Joshua thought the makeup “looked very nice” that it “made the bride look beautiful” and that I am “greatly skilled with makeup” but I am concerned Joshua thought the result was not “natural looking” or “clean”. Megan does have acneic, hyperpigmented skin, therefore I did need to use concealer and foundation to cover her blemishes and dark spots to create a flawless foundation. The before and after photos show amazing flawless, clean skin and makeup. Natural-looking, sun-kissed makeup is my specialty. If either one of them felt it was too much coverage, it was never communicated to me, as I could have easily adjusted it by blending it out. I was surprised to read Joshua felt I was “slightly unprofessional”, as most of my brides and grooms enjoy my friendly personality and feel like they have a best friend on Maui, on their special day. I was shocked when Joshua stated and posted, on all forums, that I made “a few off-handed, slightly racist remarks about people I am living near” with “different cultural norms.” This broke my heart, as I have lived in Hawaii’s beautiful melting pot for over 18+ years and take great pride in its diversity. I adore and respect all sentient beings and I take great delight in providing 5-star, quality service to all genders, of all ages, religions, nationalities and ethnicities. I want to start off by saying I could not have had a better experience at Makeup and Talent Hawaii. Kymberly and her staff are phenomenal. I’m not much of a planner so I got a late start booking my hair and makeup for my Maui wedding. I contacted Kymberly a week or so before my wedding day on August 9th. Her response was instant providing me with all the details I needed. She continued to keep in touch with me until the day of my wedding. The night before my appointment I called her to ask if my bridesmaid could join me to get her hair and makeup done as well. She quickly got back to me after checking her schedule to let me know she could fit her in as well. Once we arrived, Kymberly was very friendly making my entire experience comfortable and fun. At this point I was blown away by her service. That was just the start, after she finished with mine and my friends makeup, I was in awe with how beautifully done out makeup was. She definitely did not disappoint. We also got our hair done there which I couldn’t have been happier with. I give Kymberly 5 stars and would give her more if it was an option. I will recommend her to anyone getting married in Maui or to anyone who just wants their makeup and hair done for any special occasion.

Kymberly and her team were fabulous. We had 9 women getting their makeup done and 11 getting hair done so it was a complicated day. Kymberly was incredibly responsible and organized leading up to wedding, working with me to make sure we had a schedule in place so that the day flowed easily without any problems. Kymberly and her team stayed on time with everyone and all of my girls loved their look. I had done a hair and makeup trial with Kymberly a couple of months before the wedding, and we made a couple of small tweaks and my hair and makeup turned out PERFECTLY for the day of the wedding. My wedding day also ended up being unusually warm, and everyone's makeup held up surprisingly/incredibly well. I had the airbrush done and am glad I decided on that considering how hot it was - I felt just as beautiful at the end of the day as I did right after I got my makeup done. I would highly recommend Kymberly and her team!

I have known Kim for many years, but just recently (last April) had the opportunity to see her work as a makeup artist for my granddaughters wedding. Her professional manner and sweet personality fits perfect as a makeup artist for weddings and special occassions! She completed the makeup for the bride, five of her bridesmaids, mother of the bride and grandmother of the bride all in less than six hours. Her professional manner and unique style made her a wonderful addition to the bride and her wedding party. She listened carefully to each lady's expectations and applied their makeup in the manner that they requested. She also went a step above my expectations by advising me before the wedding as to what to do to help revitalize my skin and make it look more youthful for the wedding. Since I am an older woman, she recommended products to use to jump start my skin repair and even gave me some samples to do it. Oh my, Kym! She is the most caring, attentive, talented makeup artist I have ever worked with! I am a model, so I have worked with many makeup artists, so when I say Kym is very special and incredible at what she does--- trust me! She listened to what I wanted and had all of the right products and skills to create the wedding look I was going for. She highlighted all of the right areas and covered the other ones and made me feel truly beautiful in my own skin. She is such a light of a woman- funny, sweet, a great listener-- I loved having her energy around to help create a calm and fun vibe before the big moment!

I had my makeup and hair done on the 28th and it looked amazing. I gave her a picture and not only did she do it, but made it look even better somehow. She took the time to make sure I was happy and used the correct products for my skin type and the weather. She even taught me a few tricks for later. Everyone said it looked beautiful and it held until the next day, eye makeup held up even after swimming in pool next day! That was even after sweating through ceremony and pictures on the beach. So unbelievably happy with this service! Made all the difference.

All I can say is WOW.... Kym is amazing at her craft and what she provides for her brides, bridesmaids, mothers, plus so much more!!! We are from Oklahoma and have known Kymmy for a very long time. We asked if she would come home for my daughters wedding to do her makeup. She didn't dissappoint, we were very blessed and honored to have the Best of the Best!!! Her attention to detail was exquisite, to say the least. She not only made the trip from Hawaii to Oklahoma for my daughters makeup, she did all the bridesmaid's, and of course myself... the mother of the bride. Kym jumped right in the day of the wedding with getting the bridesmaids started, they were all very beautiful. Some had never had that caliber of a professional makeup artist, do their makeup. When Kym went on to do my daughters, her transformation was breathtaking. I wish I would have videoed her, as she made over Brittany!! I too, am a professional in the beauty industry. So when I say Kym easily deserves the honor being "The Knot- Best of 2018", it shouldn't be taken lightly. She is the best for a reason. Her commitment to her craft, and her clients of all kinds is top "KNOTch". We love her and only hope you see that as well. P.s. She also, while back home.
