Makeup Artistry By Annie

Annie was recommended to me by a friend after I had a very disappointing make-up trial I had at a department store beauty counter. I will be forever grateful for her recommendation because Annie was wonderful. I first met her for a make-up trial several weeks before the wedding. I was extremely nervous about my wedding day make up because I had always struggled with an acne problem and while most of it had subsided, I still had plenty of scars to make me feel very self conscious. I explained this to Annie in the beginning of our appointment and was extremely understanding. She gave me recommendations on how to care for my skin in the weeks leading up to the wedding and showed me how her airbrush make up was the best option for hiding my blemishes. The airbrushing left a really nice even finish and the color matched very well with my skin - and it was a huge relief to look in the mirror and see a flawless finish. So that was amazing in itself. But the blush and eye make up she did was even more amazing! In the few times I have had make up done in the past (not with Annie), the eye make up and blush was so over the top, or too harsh or just from a very wrong color palate that I felt uncomfortable when I saw myself in the mirror. But Annie was very thoughtful with her color choices and found ones that complimented my eyes and skin tone very well. The final look was dramatic but still soft and natural at the same time - which seems hard to achieve but she did it! And best of all, I still looked like myself. The make up she did on my wedding day was just as perfect as in the trial. I received so many compliments all day and night - and no one could believe that at midnight ( 15 hours after I had my make up done) my face still looked perfect. I couldn't have been happier!
