Makeup Artistry by Liz

I cannot begin to express my gratitude for Liz and the makeup she provided for me and my bridal party. My original makeup artist booked me for the wrong day, starting my wedding day off on a horrible note with lots of tears. My mom called Liz at 7am on what happened to be her only Saturday off this summer. Within minutes, Liz called her back and before I knew it (less than an hour) Liz was at our hotel door, ready to jump in and do everyone’s makeup! She was the hero of the day and made my girls and I look and feel BEAUTIFUL! Her makeup is natural and stays on ALLLLL night, making your beauty last in all of your wedding photos, from your first look all the way to your last dance. Her friendliness, professionalism, and ability to fit right in with the chaos of my family was an even bigger plus! I can’t recommend and praise Liz enough!!

Liz did an amazing job doing wedding day makeup for myself, my sisters, and my mom. She came to the inn I was staying at, brought all her materials with her, and completed makeup for 4 in less than 3 hours! We all tend to go for a more natural look, and she nailed it and made us all feel confident and beautiful. And I was surprised how well the makeup held up throughout the entire day (even with some tears!). She is relaxed, friendly, and good at what she does. You won’t regret hiring her!

I heard from a friend in the industry that Liz was the best and I could not agree more! Working with Liz for my wedding was so easy and I've truly never felt more beautiful and like myself. On the morning of our wedding, Liz arrived early to the venue to ensure our prep would be smooth and ahead of schedule. All of my bridesmaids and family looked so naturally gorgeous with the airbrush make up; plus it stayed all day and night, through sweat, tears and drinking! Go with Liz for your wedding makeup (or any occasion!!!). Liz did my makeup at my wedding in the Berkshires last month, and without question it is by the far the most I've ever loved a makeup look on myself. I just love everything that she did so much and really feel that she made me look like me but cooler! My friend getting married next summer told me it is now her aspirational wedding look. I ended up not doing a trial beforehand, and just brought a couple of photos of some looks I liked -- I'm not a very experienced makeup wearer. But I just felt in such good hands with Liz and could not be happier with how it turned out. (And as an added bonus, she was very gracious and easy going with our strict covid protocols for all of our guests/vendors, and truly fun to hang out with on the wedding morning!)

Liz is the best of the best when it comes to makeup and did mine so beautifully on my wedding day. I had such a lovely experience working with her from start to finish, and she was so kind, responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. Not to mention she absolutely nailed the makeup look I wanted! One of my biggest concerns about my wedding "look" was appearing too made up and not like myself, but Liz managed to make me feel special and extra beautiful while still feeling natural. I felt amazing all day. My mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, maid of honor, and I were so thrilled with our makeup for my wedding. Liz did a fantastic job. She listened to what everyone wanted and realized all of our visions. She put us all at ease and was wonderful to work with. As a bride who doesn't normally wear much makeup, the airbrushed makeup was so light and I could barely feel anything. She didn't overdo it, she made me look like me but with just a little bit of glam. I couldn't be happier with how I looked for my big day.

Liz was awesome! She was so easy to work with even for a large party. She brought everyone's visions to life. Everyone looked very elegant. We were lucky to have her as a part of our day!

I do not usually wear makeup, and had to ask a colleague what airbrush even was. I was so reassured when my wedding coordinator said that Liz is her favorite makeup artist to work with and recommend, and so I went for my makeup trial. It felt light, not heavy, and I felt like myself still. I felt comfortable that my makeup would stay throughout the July 27 heat, and she helped by providing advice in advance. She traveled to our venue (the Montague Retreat Center) and so getting ready felt easy. Since I didn't have bridesmaids I didn't expect to do makeup with others, but Liz has a limit of doing at least 4 people to travel. It ended up being so nice to also have my mother (MOB) and the mother of the groom get makeup done professionally and feel good for photos. She is a real artist, and it was wonderful to have her make me feel beautiful and ready for photos all day and all night!

All of my bridesmaids, family, and I were so happy with our makeup and felt so beautiful because of Liz. We had such a great time getting ready and were super impressed by the professional equipment and setup that she brought with her to our AirBnB the morning of the wedding. The airbrushing felt super light and my makeup lasted the entire day. At the trial, I was beyond impressed with her ability to look at my features and tailor the makeup to me even though I had no idea what to ask for going in. Liz is fantastic and I would highly recommend her!

Liz is professional, friendly, down to earth and super talented. She did makeup for my wedding last September and everyone looked beautiful. Each of our bridesmaids wanted a very different style, and everyone was happy with how their makeup came out. I wanted a more natural look, and Liz nailed it. We got married on a 90 degree day, and despite lots of sweat, all of our makeup stayed put the whole time. I'd highly recommend Liz!

I chose Liz as my makeup artist for my wedding and I am so glad that I did! I don't usually wear too much makeup and I was worried about not looking like myself on my wedding day. She did a great job at listening to my concerns and making me look and feel beautiful while still looking natural. Liz is so professional, arrived on time, and also did the makeup for all of my bridesmaids and my mother, all of which looked stunning! I also loved the airbrush makeup and the eyelashes that look so natural, definitely worth the extra cost!

I am so glad I splurged on airbrush makeup with Liz! She was able to do all of our makeup onsite at our venue which made our morning very relaxing! Liz is so amazing! I did a trial with her which was great to figure the exact look and colors I preferred. She arrived on time the day of the wedding, set-up everything she needed, and went to work. All of my bridesmaids loved their makeup, and I couldn't have been happier with how mine turned out. I felt so beautiful, but still like myself. Liz even gave me a little touch-up kit for after the ceremony. I will also add that Liz is super responsive and organized, and easy to work with. I highly recommend Liz!

Liz was fantastic from the minute I contacted her. She was quick to respond to emails (often within hours) and she was very professional/knowledgeable during the planning process- even providing recommendation for other vendors and helped with day of time-line! Don't be scared by the price- the entire experience is totally worth it, you will be so happy you chose her! I rarely wear make up, so wanted this to be special for my wedding day. The air-brush technology Liz uses and her skill led to a natural outcome, no caking/over done face. The trail put me at ease. Liz was great as she listened to my vision and then we worked together to perfect my look. I felt an instant connection with Liz as she is caring and it was obvious she loves what she does. Day of she was punctual, professional, and in good spirits (she travels to your location). She was flexible, as one of my bridesmaid's last minute wanted her make-up done. I told her of the addition 2 days prior to my big day and she graciously accommodated moving her start time up without an issue. Liz was hassle free and I never felt stressed or worried, which I feel makes the perfect vendor. Liz is worth every penny, if you are on the edge with going with her, here is your push- you won't regret it!

Liz was amazing to work with and did such an incredible job with all of our make up for my wedding day! The whole process was seamless start to finish. Liz's studio for trials is beautiful and easy to find. She did an incredible job with the softer, simple look I wanted for my wedding day. She and the second stylist were right on time the morning, and efficient with getting through my bridal party, but made sure to stay for touch ups. I completely agree with the other reviews - highly highly recommend Liz for your wedding day!

THE BEST! After talking on the phone, my mom was sure Liz was just the person we were looking for to make me and all the gals in our wedding party gorgeous for the big day! At our trial, Liz "got me" right away! She was professional, friendly, and takes such pride in her beautiful work. On the day of the wedding, she and the girls she brought with her were so calming and fun. Doing 17 services is no easy task, but Liz made sure we were all stress-free and having a good time! In terms of the make-up, she is just hands down, the best! She does airbrush, which always looks phenomenal. One of the best decisions I made for our wedding was booking Liz for makeup! She was truly a pleasure to work with, and she took her time and care with each person that was having their make up done. Everyone looked stunning and was very happy with the results. The trial was extremely thorough and she really listened to what I was looking for, so I felt very relaxed/confident on the wedding day knowing that I loved what she had done at the trial. She also brought a very relaxed and fun energy to the room, and some great tunes as well, which helped calm my nerves as we were all getting ready! We recently got our photographs and wedding video back from our vendors and I am so happy with how my make up looks. The airbrushing is unbelievable! I have always been extra critical of myself in photos and videos, but Liz made me look absolutely flawless! Even in the "after-party" pictures taken after a night of sweating, dancing, drinking etc. - my makeup still looked unbelievable! I definitely recommend Liz without question for wedding makeup. Based on her stellar reviews, Liz was one of the first vendors I booked. She lived up to every ounce of praise she's received. She is a gem of a person and has serious chops. If you're hesitating at the price, she's worth every penny, and remember that the price covers you and four other people with no travel/ mileage fees (in the local area, anyway) to come to you on your wedding day. I did a trial run with her, so we knew what I wanted in advance, but she did my brideswomen and mom cold and they all looked stunning. Book her NOW--she's in high demand, so don't wait on this one. Liz was amazing!! She did the trial which was perfect because on the day of my wedding I knew exactly what I was going to get. There was a total of 7 of us having our makeup done and Liz went at the pace we were looking for…laid back and not rushed. She was so calming and professional. It was very important to me that I was as well as the others in the bridal parry looked very natural and not shiny or washed out. She nailed it!! Thank you Liz from the bottom of my heart for making me looking beautiful on my wedding day.

Liz is the best-the airbrush application made my face look flawless and she perfectly placed the lashes on my lids. My makeup lasted all day and all throughout the night. It was 85 degrees and we danced the whole night away and my makeup was still perfect. She is very passionate and amazing at what she does. I tried 3 local makeup artists and felt like I could do my own makeup better, but then I met Liz and realized it doesn't get any better than her. She is top notch- book her!

Liz Washer did the makeup on site for my Mom, my 3 bridesmaids, and myself in a very rural part of Vermont where our wedding was held. Not only did she do a fabulous job with our makeup, but she set the tone for the entire day by showing up early, leaving plenty of time to get everyone's makeup done, and being very cool yet professional the entire time. Her calming demeanor helped us all be able to relax and just enjoy ourselves. We felt pampered rather than stressed throughout the entire morning. She was always very responsive, ever since my first contact with her about a year before the wedding up until the day of. She is extremely talented, but almost of equal importance, professional and reliable. I should also mention that I am very picky about my makeup...I prefer a natural look and it was important to me that I looked like myself that day. She nailed it in the trial run and then again on the day of the wedding. I couldn't have been happier with her services and I 100% recommend her to any bride.

Liz is, to use her own words, “uh-mazing!” She is a true artist who knows color and lighting, and more importantly, how makeup will look in print. She listens to what YOU want, and is eager to help create the look you want for you big day. She’s relaxed, friendly and professional, all at the same time. I had a “trial” with Liz for my engagement photos, and was so thrilled with the results. She was super flexible when we had to keep rescheduling due to rain, and replied to emails and calls immediately, and never tired of answering my questions. After I got the engagement shots back, we discussed what I wanted to adjust while she made very good notes about the specifics so she could refer to them on my wedding day. She arrived the morning of my wedding on time and ready to work, with a smile on her face and a sweet, calming demeanor. I was tremendously relaxed while in her chair—a welcome feeling for a bride on her wedding day. As a woman who wears makeup daily and isn’t afraid of a dramatic look, I was excited to give Liz carte blanche, and she did not disappoint! I especially loved how she blended the colors on my eyes. Some members of my bridal party aren’t as comfortable in a lot of makeup, and Liza made them feel just as beautiful with a minimal, natural look. We all looked fabulous (if I do say so myself) in our photos, hours after it was flawlessly applied, even through rain, crying, and dancing. If you are making the investment in professional photography for your wedding, hiring Liz is a no-brainer. Have no worries that you will look as beautiful as you feel on your wedding day. She books up FAST, so don’t delay. You will be so glad you did.

So happy I went with Liz Washer for my wedding makeup. She was a bit more expensive than others but I thought it was well-worth it! My makeup was fabulous and exactly what I wanted. It lasted late into the night and even my groom liked it and asked me not to wash it off at night. Liz is friendly and helpful and my mom, aunt, bridesmaid and man of honor enjoyed working with her as well. My man of honor had airbrush done. He was pretty sweaty while we were dancing and his makeup stayed put. Liz is highly recommended!

Do yourself a favor and book Liz for your wedding, she is the best I have worked with and made everyone look gorgeous without being overdone.

I was hesitant about spending the money for makeup, but it was the best decision I made. I had a breakout the week of, and she took care of it with no problem! She was the easiest vendor I worked with in general and was easy to contact. Everyone looked really amazing, and I felt so beautiful. She managed to enhance all of our features perfectly without making look like different people. I LOVED my pink lips, I'm glad we decided to with that at the last minute. Although I know better, I couldn't help myself - I slept in my makeup so I could show up at breakfast still wearing it. All of it stayed intact. Wish I could do my makeup like that all the time!

We are so glad that we chose to go with Liz for our wedding makeup!! She did such a wonderful job. She gave me the perfect look to go with my vintage style, and I never felt more beautiful. She also did wonderful work with my partner, who did not want traditional makeup but wanted to make her skin wedding photo ready. My mother had a lot of fun working with Liz, and looked so beautiful. Liz was a dream to work with! She is just amazing at what she does, and knows what she is doing! I met Liz and her lovely little dog Edie for a consultation, and was comfortable with her from the start. Liz already came highly recommended by my other vendors and knew it would be a match as soon as I met her. She asked some questions on how I wanted to look on the day of my wedding, and even though I did an awful job I'm sure of explaining, she went to work, and when she gave me the mirror after she was done, I sighed with relief, looking at my own reflection in the mirror. She made me look like ME! (except slightly enhanced) I knew I could trust her the day of the wedding and with the rest of my wedding party. She was extremely accommodating and came to me and showed up very early the day of the wedding to ensure everyone could be done in time. She did such a wonderful job with all my girls. My mother and mother in-law also got their makeup done, and everything was very natural, meaning they were recognizable. Everyone looked beautiful, and Liz helped to make that happen. She has a real eye for what looks good on people, and is very trustworthy. I had an all day wedding and the makeup stayed put all day, dancing and crying and all! I am very thankful to have had Liz be a part of my wedding day to make the day go just that much more easier, and feeling beautiful!

I've been receiving so many compliments about my makeup since the day of the wedding!!! It looked amazing! I had a tattoo on my back that I did not want to show on my wedding day and Liz did an amazing job at covering it!! You couldn't even tell it was ever there! It held up all night and then some. It didn't rub off or anything. I would highly recommend using Liz for any of your special events. She is awesome!!! I will be using her again in the future!

Liz did a fantastic job doing the make up for our wedding! Everyone looked beautiful, natural, and most importantly, they all felt comfortable wearing it. She really listened to the style of make up everyone wanted. My mother was hesitant about having her make up done at first, but ended up being so glad that she did. She keeps saying that she would like Liz to do her make up again whenever she has another wedding or event to go to. My bridesmaids and I got airbursh makeup done by Liz for my wedding. The makeup looked beautiful on all of us and stayed on the entire day despite the 95 degree weather. Liz is really sweet and professional. I would recommend her to anyone.

Liz was amazing - I never looked so amazing in my life (and probably never will!) My photographer had worked with Liz before and recommended her - so lucky and thankful! Liz is professional, easy, cool and an amazing makeup artist. She's done tons of work (editorial and wedding) but all that mattered to me was how amazing she made me look. I asked for the Kim Kardashian look (yes it's true, I'm a little ashamed to admit it) and she delivered - my smoky eyes were amazing - she airbrushed my face and my skin looked natural and flawless, not caked on and fake. I absolutely loved it all, and Liz did an amazing job with my mom's and sister's makeup too (my sis said she looked better at my wedding than she did at her own wedding a few years back). The makeup lasted (I swear if I slept right I could've kept it going the next day lol). Nothing smudged, it all lasted through an emotional ceremony, sweaty Greek dancing, all of it. Liz rocks. I HIGHLY recommend her if you're in the Western Mass area (and I think she travels too). Love Liz! (Wish she could airbrush my face everyday...)
