She was very nice, but very disorganized. I had two days that I needed hair and makeup done, and for the first day she was an hour and half late, and I was late to my own ceremony ...
which was very stressful. The makeup and hair looked great, but I was so stressed on a day that’s supposed to be happy. The second day, she was late again and we couldn’t get started with makeup and hair until like 8 am because she had to setup, we were running so close to time that some of my girls had no choice but to do their own hair and foundation, to make it faster for her so she only had to do their eyes. She kept telling me we were going to be done on time but it was clear that if my girls did not step in to help speed up time we definitely were not. Again, the hair and makeup looked good for me, I know a few girls had their eyelashes were falling off and their hair was coming out of the curls, but the makeup was pretty good. The disorganization was what threw me over the edge. When I asked her for a refund for hair and makeup for some girls as they had to do most of it themselves, she said that they didn’t have to do their makeup because she could have gotten it done on time and there is no refund as she provided the service. WHAT?! The only reason we were done on time is because my girls were doing half of their makeup lol. I do not recommend her, or if you book her just do either hair or makeup, because I’ve never booked a hair and makeup artist and I trusted her when she said she could do it, but now I know better.

l as while she was working. She regularly paused to get my input to make sure I was happy with everything and had great suggestions and options for both hair and makeup! She finished with plenty of time to spare before the wedding. And aside from lip gloss (which she gave me extra of), I didn’t have to touch up anything- and that was over 12 hours in July heat! I would highly recommend Afra!
