the beginning, there were a couple of bumps. Britta had to cancel my makeup trial twice. The first time was on the day of my bridal shower and I had to SCRAMBLE for a solution but it worked out in the end! The second time, another artist came in her place, but since Britta would be the one doing my wedding day makeup, it didn’t make sense to me that someone else would do my trial and I was unhappy with the final product from this appointment. I felt unsure with my decision to book at this point still. Britta later communicated with me personally and opened up about her ongoing health struggles and hospitalizations related to an autoimmune disease. As a nurse, I understand how unpredictable and serious those conditions can be. Her explanation made sense, and I appreciated her honesty. Health challenges don’t always translate well over text, and I can see how miscommunication or sudden changes could be misunderstood. She rescheduled my trial a third time. I was still very nervous but when she arrived, everything changed. We clicked instantly. She completely understood my vision and absolutely nailed my bridal look. I finished my makeup trial feeling SO excited and confident for my wedding day. On the wedding day, Britta showed up early with a full team and everything ran smoothly. She and her team did hair and makeup for me, six bridesmaids, my mother-in-law, and two flower girls. I cannot emphasize enough that everyone's hair and makeup looked GORGEOUS. Britta and her team can work some serious magic! She created such a fun, calm, and joyful getting-ready atmosphere, which made the morning even more special. Despite some of the negative reviews I have seen, my experience was that Britta is a real person with a real, talented team who genuinely cares about her brides. I’m so grateful I stuck with her, and I’m beyond happy she was part of my wedding day.
