I booked Coco and her team for my wedding hair and makeup. They did a fantastic job. Coco was great to work with. They were all very professional, friendly, and experienced with reasonable prices. Specifically, I wanted to find a team with experience working with East Asian skin tones and would be able to give me to an elegant, natural look. The team also did a great job with makeup for my bridesmaids who had various skin tones and hair types. Having the trial earlier on was helpful, as we had time to discuss what I was looking for and get to know each other. On the wedding day, Coco and her team were on time and very respectful. It's clear that Coco takes her craft very seriously. She checked on progress across all the bridesmaids and my mom to make sure things were on track and tweaked where necessary. I loved hair & makeup by Coco Tsang! I was a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding where she had hired Coco and I knew when it came to my wedding, I wanted Coco as well. Coco is so easy to work with and a great communicator. I was out-of-state for the majority of the time but had my wedding in NYC. We communicated through email mostly and for hair trial, Coco was very accommodating with my schedule and kept appointment dates free for when I was visiting from VA. The hair and makeup technique of Coco and her team are phenomenal. The team loves highlighting natural beauty of the bride during the wedding day and it comes out to be absolutely perfect. I love the convenience of how Coco and her team will travel to bride for hair/makeup. I was a part of weddings before where as a bridesmaid, I would have to go to the salon early morning before the wedding to get hair and makeup done and then travel to the venue in hopes of not messing anything up. I highly recommend Coco and her team in a heartbeat!

Coco and her team did a great job at my daughter's wedding this past weekend. There were 8 of us that have hair and makeup done. Coco is such a talented hair and makeup artist! I don't wear any makeup normally, so I was so nervous about not looking like myself on my wedding day. Not the case at all - I ended up looking like a better, more radiant version of myself! Coco Tsang was very professional and accommodating to my needs. I requested that she meet us at my hotel in Northern NJ and was told that it may be difficult because she had another bride who booked her that same day for a morning session. I was initially very bummed but she made everything work out. She was able to arrive on time to our hotel and also had everything done 2 hours before my ceremony started. My bridal party had their hair and makeup completed in a timely manner and the results were amazing. Coco took a lot of time working on my hair and makeup and made sure everything looked perfect and in place. The hair was done in a partial updo (what I requested) and came out beautiful. The hair stayed in place the entire night even with a Hora and constant dancing. I did not even need to touch up on my makeup except for re-apply my lipstick. I had so many compliments throughput the night about my hair so I knew I needed to leave her a great review so that others can see what amazing work she does. I highly recommend Coco Tsang!!! She made my dream wedding look come true and I love how it looks in my wedding photos.

Coco did my friend's wedding a few years and she did my makeup as a bridesmaids. I remembered her so that when it came time.for my wedding I did not even bother looking for another makeup and hair artists. I immediately emailed her and booked her about 10 months out as I know she books up fast. she and her team are great. they are able to do a variety of different kinds of makeup for different skin tones and features and hair styles as well on different kinds of hair textures. ..they showed up on time and we're incredibly efficient. my makeup did not budge nor did I need any touchups the entire day into late into the night well into the after-party. I highly recommendt Coco.

Coco was highly recommended to me long before I actually started looking for make-up artists. As someone who has never felt the need to get hair and make-up done professionally before, I was shocked by the prices initially. However, after looking around for a while (and contacting multiple make-up artists), I realized that Coco's prices are more than fair and definitely the "market price" in NYC. I opted to get a trial done before the wedding, which I highly recommend. I think it's great to get to know all your vendors before your big day, so that you are comfortable and everyone knows what to expect. Coco was straight forward and honest in her opinions, which I really appreciated. She was also very efficient and extremely skilled. I scheduled my trial on the day of my engagement party so I could see how long the hair and make-up lasts - Coco evened out my make-up (initially the two sides were different for comparison) before I left, which was very nice to do. My make-up and hair lasted ALL night without any touch-up, and the curls even held until next morning which doesn't usually happen for Asian hair. I knew then that I made the right choice. On my wedding day, Coco came RIGHT on time. If anything, our group was a bit more slow to mobilize. She had one assistant that did all hair for girls who only wanted hair done, and she did hair & make-up for myself and one of my bridesmaid. She and her assistant finished RIGHT on time again! This was so important because it ensured that we were on schedule for the rest of the day! My hair and make-up looked perfect for the entire day. Everyone kept complimenting me all day. I still looked like myself, but much more improved. Coco is so experienced that she knows exactly what to do for the look that you want (whether dramatic or natural), and knows how to make you look good on camera too. My make-up did smudge a little bit toward the end of the night, but it was barely noticeable and easily fixed with a Q-tip which she recommended. Something else that makes Coco special is that she is not afraid to speak her opinion. I was originally going to wear the same hair as all my bridesmaids, but she thought that based on her experience, it wasn't the way to go. I then completely let her decide what my hair should look like, and it was absolutely gorgeous and I was so glad that I listened to her and was able to stand out on my wedding day. She also stood up for me when conflicts arose and was all around a superstar to have in my corner. Long story short, Coco is extremely experienced, honest, and skilled. She is 100% worth the price she quotes, if not more, and I will be recommending her to everyone I know in real life too.

CoCo did my mom and I's make up on my wedding day and she was absolutely amazing! I usually don't wear make up but CoCo did such an amazing job with the make up that it looked natural yet beautiful. It also stayed on very well. I received many compliments on how beautiful I looked. Coco also taught my mom how to put the veil on me and provided her tips on how to keep the veil stable and not fall off. I am just really glad to have hired CoCo as my makeup and hair stylist for the most important day of our lives as CoCo provided her own opinion as well as listened to what we wanted.

I first met the amazing COCO two years ago as a Maid of Honor for my sister’s wedding. At that time, I loved the make-up that she did for the bridesmaids, and especially LOVED the airbrush make-up she did for my sister. She also got to wear these really cute Hello Kitty ears! Fast forward a few months later, and I was a bridesmaid for a good friend from high-school. Lo and behold, Coco was also the make-up artist! Again, her and her team did our hair and make-up and it was NATURAL (not overly done) and BEAUTIFUL! Now two years later, as soon as I got engaged and booked a venue, even without booking any other vendor, I already knew 10000% that I would want Coco and her team to do my make-up. I booked a year in advance and was SO HAPPY she was available on our date! I did not do a trial since she did an amazing job when I was a bridesmaid for two weddings already, so I knew as a bride with airbrush it could only get better, and I was obviously right! Coco was always very friendly and responsive in email. Originally we scheduled for Coco and her team to come later in the day, however my Fiancée (now husband!) and I decided to do a tea ceremony a few months from the wedding. I reached out to Coco to see if she could come a bit earlier than the original planned time, but she already had a wedding prior. Through some great luck, she was able to go to the other bride a bit earlier, and in turn come to do our hair and make-up a bit earlier. Even with the change in time, it was still a bit of a time-crunch since we also wanted to do First Look photos. COCO and her team are SO SKILLED that they managed to do hair and makeup for SIX BRIDESMAIDS and THE BRIDE, in 2 ½ HOURS!!! They came in with huge smiles and set-up everything so perfectly and fast. I have a bridesmaid who is very sensitive with others touching her face but even she loved the make-up!! I was SO IMPRESSED that Coco and her team were able to not only complete hair and make-up so fast, but that it looked like it took so many more hours! My hair and make-up stayed for the whole day, and whole night (no touch-ups!) I was really worried that the make-up might be too bright for my complexion but it was SO NATURAL! I still cannot get over how perfect it was. I’m SO HAPPY that I was able to have Coco and her team for my wedding, and that I finally got to wear those Hello Kitty ears! I HIGHLY recommend Coco and her team and extend my biggest thanks for them making my day so perfect!

Coco is the best! She did hair and makeup for me and my wedding party just a few weeks ago. I initially got her name from a friend of the family and went for a trial. I was totally impressed with her person and her skills at the trial. She really analyzes your look and takes in what you want and gives you the best look for your special day. Her eye makeup was especially fantastic! She is an expert in Asian makeup, but also did a beautiful job with my non-asian bridesmaids. Her makeup left me looking like myself only better! She also had realistic advice for the day of the wedding. And the makeup lasted the entire night, no shine, no smudging, almost like when it was first done! Coco is also very professional. She and her assistant arrived on time, they were prepared and set up within 10-15 minutes, and everyone was done right on time. Her prices are also very reasonable for the area, and well worth the quality. I would definitely book her again for any special events, and maybe even a makeup class later in the year! Coco did my wedding last weekend and my make up and hair were PREFECT! I first contacted Coco way over a year before my wedding since I wanted to get a make up artist who did hair and knew how to do make up on asians. Did my trial with her in November 2016 and my wedding was in June 2017. I would highly suggest anyone thinking of booking Coco to do it ASAP!!! Even during my November trial a couple of people had interest in my date and it was only 8 months away!!! On my wedding day Coco and one other make up artist arrived already before 6:30am and got right to work! Her team did 7 of my bridesmaids updos, coco did my make up and hair and my moms hair and make up. The other artist did my bridesmaids make up. They finished everyone by 10am ish. I was so happy with how it turned out. My make up looked flawless in photos and it last all the way until 3am when I took it off!!! That's 19 hours! I 100% trust Coco and would recommend her to anyone!

Coco was wonderful. We knew within minutes of the trial that we were going to use her for my wedding hair and makeup. We ended up having her also do the hair for my bridesmaids and the hair and makeup for my matron of honor and my mother. She arrived (with an assistant) exactly on time and finished within 2 and a half hours. That's 6 hairstyles (5 updos and a half updo) and 3 makeups (1 with airbrushing). My Husband was wary of wedding makeup because he did not like my engagement photos makeup (different vendor) but he said that my makeup was perfect the day of. (groom approved!) There were tons of compliments all around and I couldn't be happier with her service. Pros: Punctual Accommodates "Asian Eyes" Travels to you Easy to contact Cons: None! Would definitely recommend her and refer her to other friends and family.

I have nothing but the most up most positive things to say about Coco and her ability to do hair and makeup. She is a true professional that knows what she is doing and that is the exact type of make up professional you want on your wedding day. I did my hair make up and trial with her but the day of my wedding she made me look absolutely gorgeous. I'm usually very picky about my hair and makeup whenever I get my makeup done, I usually end up taking it off and doing it myself. Coco is the only make up artist I've had that makes me feel 100% confident in what she is doing. She uses airbrush makeup and she is just so good at what she does. My wedding photographer even went so far as to compliment her and told her that out of all the weddings he has done, she is his favorite make up and hair artist because of how beautiful everyone comes out, her proficiency, and how quickly she works. If she lived closer to me I would be getting my make up done by Coco every time I had an event to go to. I would definitely recommend Coco!

Coco is AMAZING. She was super fun to work with and made my girls and me look absolutely beautiful. She kept everyone natural looking and accentuated everyone's best features. She and her team came in the to our hotel room the morning of the wedding and had all 6 of my bridesmaids, my mother and me ready with make-up and hair completed on time! Coco Tsang first did my hair for my cousin's wedding in 2010. I saw what she did for my cousin's makeup and hair and I did not even shop around when it was my turn to find a make-up artist. Coco knows exactly what she is doing and she works fast. I had my hair and make-up done for another friend's wedding and it was chaotic and every thing kept getting delayed. With Coco, she knew exactly how much time she needed to get everything done and she was right about it! First, I had her do my make-up trial my engagement photo shoot. Coco does wonders to make your eyes pop! The focus is on the eyes and she teaches you how to retouch the blush and the lipstick lip gloss so that you don't need her for the rest of the day (helps to save money!) She also worked with me to decide what hairstyle I wanted for the day of the wedding, and she impressed me with knowing how to factor the weather into what kind of hair style I should do! I would not have even thought about how a windy day would affect my hairstyle but I'm glad Coco did. For my wedding, I was so happy with my make-up and hair. The best compliment I got was that I looked like a movie star! I loved the make-up because I still looked like me, just certain features enhanced. My husband loved my make-up and hair and all my family, friends, and co-workers are still raving about my make-up (1 month after the wedding!). I definitely DEFINITELY definitely recommend Coco. My bridesmaids loved how she did their hair and makeup and most of all, she did it so quickly. Our wedding was at 2:30, Coco arrived at 11:30 and we were ready by 2pm, including helping me get into my dress and putting my veil on. All in all, she and her assistant managed to do the bride's hair and make-up, mom's hair and make up x2, maid of honor hair and make-up, and 2 bridesmaid's hair.

Coco did my hair and makeup for my wedding on 9/5/14 as well as hair and makeup for my mother and 5 bridesmaids. She and her assistant worked quickly and efficiently, despite my worries we would not be done in time, but Coco told me not to worry and she was right, there was no need to. She is extremely talented, people kept telling me I looked like a barbie lol She really did a phenomenal job on all of us, my bridesmaids looked AMAZING! To top it off, Coco is so funny!! I hired Coco to do hair and makeup for myself, my mother, and my sister-in-law. My mother and I are Chinese and my sister-in-law is Indian. I have to say that I am so impressed with what Coco did. She really made me look beautiful. I loved my hair and make-up and the photos turned out beautifully. Everyone kept on complimenting about how wonderful I looked. I wish I could post a before and after photo. One friend even jokingly remarked, "Professional makeup is amazing". My mother, who is the type to not wear any make-up, originally was protesting having her hair / makeup done. She got along so well with Coco and felt so comfortable with her that she stopped protesting. In the end, she was so happy about the way she looked, which is tough for her. My sister-in-law looked equally lovely as well and I was worried originally given that she's Indian and Coco never got to meet her before the wedding. However, there were no concerns and she got multiple compliments. It was such a treat for them and I was so happy with Coco's results. Besides the quality of her work, I also really enjoyed working with her. She is professional, honest, straight-forward, responsible, and responsive. I had a 7:30AM start time and she was at the venue before me. I completely recommend her for any event and I would definitely use her again.

found Coco's makeup after some research on yelp. I booked a trial with her right before her vacation and she graciously agreed to meet at my parent's house. I showed her some sample pictures and she was able to replicate them perfectly. I loved my makeup especially because it looked very natural. The airbrush felt amazing! I was a little apprehensive about her leaving for vacation but she kept in contact with me through email, discussing bridesmaids' styles. Wedding Day: Coco arrived on time and got right to work. She's very professional (and pleasant) to work with! She's also proven herself to be a quick problem solver because my mother in law dropped in on us, asking for her hair to be fixed. Coco, quick on her feet, showered her with compliments. Sat her down quickly on the chair and hit her with some hairspray. It was a rather tense and awkward situation, but Coco handled it really well. In the end, my bridesmaids and I looked absolutely fabulous!! We love Coco and highly recommend her!

I was so happy with Coco's hair and makeup job. My makeup looked natural and stayed put despite the heat and humidity and my running around. I still looked like myself and not someone with a lot of makeup on. My hair also did not budge at all all day. The only issue is that she sometimes didn't respond to me at all. But overall, she was great to work with and very easy to get along with.

I found Coco online while looking for hair stylists and makeup artists for my wedding. She had fantastic reviews and now I'm adding my own to the mix. I am not big on wearing makeup on a daily basis, but since I was paying for professional photos of my wedding, I wanted my hair and makeup to look great. I was so happy to find one person who could do both well! Coco did a hair and airbrush makeup trial for my engagement photos. The airbrush makeup felt so light, it didn't feel like I was even wearing any! She was very sweet, but also gave her professional opinion on what worked. Compared to some of the other hair stylists and makeup artists I contacted, Coco's pricing is quite reasonable. Because my hair and makeup looked so great for the engagement photos, I immediately booked Coco for my wedding which was last weekend. She arrived right on time and did the hair for my 2 flower girls, hair and makeup for my 2 bridesmaids and my own hair and airbrush makeup all by herself in about 3 hours. She is a superpower! Everyone looked fantastic and my bridesmaids were also pleased with their looks as they are also not big on makeup. Coco did an amazing job on my hair which is fairly short and I wanted it styled with finger waves. It didn't budge during my outdoor wedding, but it still looked natural and not like helmet-hair. She also pinned my birdcage veil on so well that I decided to leave it on the entire night instead of removing it for the reception. The entire wedding party looked great for photos and into the evening through dinner and dancing. I kept asking my maid of honor if I needed to go touch up my eye makeup after crying happy tears during the ceremony, but everything still looked fantastic, not even my mascara was running. Everyone said I looked like a movie star, but I still felt like myself (instead of feeling like I was looking at a stranger in the mirror) just a little extra special for my wedding. Coco did an amazing job on my hair and makeup along with those for my bridesmaids. I loved my hair and makeup during trial run and on the wedding day it turned out even better than I expected. I was getting compliments on my flawless makeup and updo all night. My bridesmaids were also very happy with their results. I really liked that Coco listened to what I wanted, and acheived the best possible result for my wedding day. It was also really nice to find someone that does both hair AND make up well...most vendors I found only did one or the other. I would definitely recommend her to all future brides and anyone needing hair and makeup for special occasions.

Wow, where do i begin with Coco? One word that I keep coming up with when I think of her work is amazing!! Coco is truly amazing. I really believe she was born to do this. I was referred to her by a friend for my wedding. My one regret is that I didn't find her sooner!! She was open to ideas and was very professional. She understands hair and makeup, the whole nine yards! Coco is just excellent! I was lucky enough to have her do my makeup for my whole wedding day plus she was nice enough to give my bridesmaids touch-ups. I would like to mention that my bridesmaids were different ethnicity and they all were made up beautifully. My makeup and hair was a success on my big day, all thanks to her.

Coco is the BEST make up artist I ever had. I did many trials from different MUA but nothing compare to her. She understood exactly what i wanted. She was able to change my hair style according to my gowns in less than 10 mins and still looked amazing. I was so happy, I couldn't have ask a better person.

Two years ago, I was literally running around NYC looking for the perfect make-up artist for my wedding. You know, of course, everything have to be perfect for your special day. I’ve tried about 7 different make-up artists before I’ve found Coco. The rest was ok but it’s just wasn’t what I wanted. A friend of mine finally introduced me to Coco. At first I was a little skeptical and afraid she might try to sell me her company's products. But she didn’t even mention it at all. She asked me what type of hairstyle and make-up I like and then she started working on my face. When she was done, I loved it!! I loved the hairstyle, the colors that she used and the accessories that goes with my look. I was so glad Coco agreed to be there for my wedding, because without her I’ll be a mess. I forgot how many time I’ve cried during my wedding (very emotion time) and my make-up was ruin by the tears. Don’t know how she does it, but she managed to fix the mess and made me look great again. Now I call her every time I have a special event to attend. I recommended her to all my friends too and all I hear is great things about her. She is definitely the one!!

CoCo is such a great artist to work with. Had my makeup and hair done few years back as a bride's maid and loved her work and requested her to do my hair/makeup again on all my wedding photoshoots last year. She is very creative with her styles. Just got my pictures back from the wedding day and could not be any happier on the way I looked in all the pictures. I've had my makeup done professionally a number of times and because I'm darker than most asian girls, I always end up looking all sorts of weird - either too light or uneven tone with my neck. I always get a little worried when having to get my makeup done. Coco came highly recommended from a number of past brides and she did my makeup/hair for my indoor/outdoor engagement shoots as well as my big day. I loved how she didn't need any direction (I wouldn't have known what to say anyway LoL) and she created magic with her hands! Loved the way my makeup/hair and later on - pictures came out. Would highly recommend again and again, which i have done already to other friends!

Coco is awesome - professional and talented. Coco did my hair and makeup for my engagement photos and wedding, and also my sister's hair and makeup and my hair and makeup for my sister's wedding. I had been recommended to her by a friend who got married a year before me - I loved her makeup and hair and wanted to know who did it. Coco is honest about how something will look at you - and I love her for that. I showed up to prepare for my engagement photos with no hair style in mind. Hi all! As women we worry like crazy about how we will look on the day of our wedding. Luckily, this feeling did not exist for me because coco did my hair and makeup for my pre wedding photos and I loved it! She has such an amazing talent! I knew after the pre-wedding shots I didn't have to worry about I will feel on the day of my wedding. One less thing to worry about and that's a great feeling! She is patient, caring, and REALLY good at what she does! I say you can't go wrong if you choose to go with coco! She happened to do my sister's make-up and hair which was my maid of honor and till this day my sister keeps on saying how she loved how her look came out! This is one of the most important days in your life and everyone knows most of the focus is on the bride so you would want to look your best and coco will do that for you!
