Are you looking for a professional, talented, and punctual makeup artist? Look no further! Gabriela made my day a lot easier! She was very friendly and listened to what I wanted. Oh my, did she deliver! I typically do not wear makeup. I wasn't really sure what I wanted. We had a trial and finally I decided on a look. She was very patient and offered suggestions according to my skin tone and texture. I highly recommend you hire her ! I know I will be hiring her in the future for any family event that I may have.

Absolutely love Gaby’s work! She did my daughter’s make up for her Quince foto-shoot, and it was beautiful! Gabby is so easy to work with and you can tell she really cares about her clients. I found out about 3 weeks prior to our engagement photos that yes, I should in fact get my makeup professionally if we were having professional photos taken-- so I frantically was emailing many makeup artists I found on The Knot. Gabriela was one of the first to respond, but also was the only one that actually was available for the time and date needed with 3 weeks notice. She asked for example photos of what I was looking for and also gave suggestions to make sure the makeup would be long lasting after application. She also was very communicative leading up to the shoot and arrived early! My makeup was done in about an hour, maybe less and I received SEVERAL compliments from those I sent selfies to! I loved it and felt very confident :) I am still waiting for the engagement photos but I am sure I look amazing! Finally, she is very personable and easy to talk to, and I enjoyed her company while she did my make up. I was the maid of honor at my sister’s wedding and had the wonderful experience of working with Gabby to do my makeup. Gabby instantly puts you at ease and will discuss the look you want to achieve. From the moment I met Gabriela, I knew that she would do a fantastic job. Her application was flawless and everyone at our wedding was wowed by how beautiful my makeup looked and how long it stayed put through dancing in the heat of the summer (practically the entire next day it still looked perfect!). Gabriela was recommended by a bride whose wedding I attended. I remember looking at her and thinking that she looked flawless. Gaby did a phenomenal job with my wedding makeup! I scheduled a trial with her a couple of months before and had some last minute changes the day of. She let me know what went better for my type of skin and the results were great. She also did my moms makeup and for someone who rarely wears makeup she was pleasantly surprised at how good it turned out. Overall no complaints!

I’ll start off with saying I struggle with really oily skin, so I am always stressing about getting my makeup done because I it usually melts away within the hour. When I let Gabby know, she worked a miracle! I have NEVER gotten my makeup done and had it last perfectly for the entire occasion, let alone in September! Gabriela is truly exceptional. She was excellent in listening to what my likes and dislikes were. I loved that my trial was early in the morning to really get a feel as to how the makeup would last throughout the day. When I wasn't 100% certain about how certain products looked on me, she offered alternatives. She embraced feedback and I knew I could trust her. My skin wasn't in the best condition prior to my wedding reception but Gabriela helped by giving tips to improve my skin. By the time of my wedding reception, my skin was glowing, and my makeup looked flawless. I couldn't have achieved that without Gabriela and thanks to her I felt gorgeous. Gaby did an amazing job for my wedding. For my bridal trial, she had a ton of suggestions and feedback for the look I wanted. I felt like she heard what I wanted and really created a look that exceeded my expectations. Gaby also has a vast knowledge on skincare and makeup products. Gabriela was professional, personable, friendly, and attentive when she did my wedding day makeup. She really listened to my aesthetic vision and captured that essence; even going so far as to weaving little flowers from my bouquet into my hair. She was wonderfully detail-oriented, but still efficient. I was super grateful that she was willing to travel, because her work was heart-droppingly astonishing. I felt so comfortable, not only with her, but also with the end product when I walked down the aisle. And I absolutely LOVED that she provided me with a little “touch up kit” for throughout the day and ceremony. With all the pictures and portraits, the wind and weather, I was so grateful for her foresight and thoughtfulness. All in all, I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated, experienced, and skilled makeup artist.

I highly recommend Gabby! She is punctual and professional. She took time to get to know me and the look I was going for. She really did such a phenomenal job, people kept asking me for her information. In addition to doing my make-up so beautifully, Gabby was also able to cover up some scars on my neck from a surgery I had in April. The scars are still pink, but by the time she was finished, you couldn’t even tell they were there.

I will preface this by saying: I have bad skin. The week of my wedding I had a major flare up; I had terrible acne on the bridge of my nose, a whole lot of active blemishes on my right cheek & more than a handful of pimples on my forehead. I felt defeated, stressed about being close to guests & taking pictures, but most of all I felt ugly... & then in walked Gabriela. Gabriela was so accommodating, so sensitive to how I was feeling (unlike in so many situations where I’ve encountered people feeling the need to put in their two cents), & so on top of her game. During my trial, my skin was fairly calm which meant that on the day of my wedding, Gabriela needed a completely different game-plan to cover my acne and make it last. She outdid herself. She will most likely preface her makeup application by saying that it will feel like a lot more makeup than you’re used to - which is true to a point. But for myself, someone who RARELY wears makeup, it never felt heavy or uncomfortable or cakey or “too much” - it looked beautiful in person & even more beautiful on film. Gabriela is beyond knowledgeable, but most importantly she is talented. During both my trial and day-of appointments, she verbally walked me through everything - what products she was using, why she was using it, & what she was doing all WHILE executing the look. She answered questions, not only from me but from friends who were simply onlookers. She welcomed feedback, allowed for (even requested!) inspiration pictures (which from what I’ve experienced, can be met with a lot of attitude), & was all around such a pleasure to work with. Her artistry should speak for itself, but there’s a reason she has so many positive reviews & happy clients - she truly cares about what you look like AND how you feel after.

For my daughter's quinceanera, Gaby came to Michigan to do not only her makeup, but my younger daughter's and mine as well. She did a light makeup on my youngest daughter, which was totally age-appropriate and natural-looking. For my daughter (the quinceanera) she went with the GLAM look and my daughter was radiant! For my commitment ceremony, I wanted to look my best. I knew I had to look no further than Gabriela Escobar. She had guided me through some skin foundations, and knew my skin type from previous encounters. So, I knew she was the right person for the job. Her services go above and beyond, from the pre-wedding trial to the make-up kit goody bag on your big day. She is a knowledgeable and experienced Make-Up professional. Even though it was months since she had help me with finding a foundation, she remembered my skin enough to notice improvements in it. Gabriela prepared for the optimal results for my special day. She gave me pointers to improve my skin even further. Her knowledge was obvious when she told me my skin needed moisturizing since I had dry skin. I always thought my skin was oily/combo! Turns out, she was right!! I started the daily regime she recommended on the trial day. By the time of my ceremony, my skin had greatly improved. She was on-time, friendly, and worked at an appropriate speed. When she finished, I felt flawless!! I got many compliments on my look, and the pictures turned out great! Would definitely recommend her to anyone and I will go back to her for anytime that I want to look gorgeous!

For a high school teenager who waited 4 years for her prom, it would not have been the same without Gabby. I placed all my trust in to her hands and she delivered an amazing experience. Right away, walking in to her home, I felt comfortable and she made sure I felt like it too. Her makeup room is impeccable and left me in complete awe. The range in her kit was to die for and left you with so many options. She began by exfoliating my skin since I have extremely oily skin; she then explained why she would use the mask and why it would help for my long night and it helping keeping it matte after removing it. Right after, she explained which parts of the face she would start off and end off with. I had never got my makeup done by someone else besides myself and she made sure I knew which products she would use on my face and why. To me, not only was that reassuring to how my face would look, but my comfortability too. I had ever seen my face matte before her work and that is amazing!!! She made me feel and look beautiful for my big night that I had dreamt of for years! Gabby made the picture in my head come to life and for that I am forever grateful. I was flooded with compliments that night and even after tearing up a couple times, it stayed intact! Thank you so much!! Your work is incredible and I will definitely be coming back for my wedding (and pretty much every time I go out because it was that bomb). Gaby did an ahhh-mazing job on my wedding makeup. She did my makeup plus the bridal party and everyone looked beautiful!! She listened to exactly what I wanted and her technique was flawless. Gaby did my makeup for my brother's wedding. I was a bridesmaid and she was really wonderful to work with. She was gentle, wanted input from me, and kept it all within the art deco theme of the wedding without going costumey. She even convinced me to try fake lashes and they stayed on all night, no problem. Would definitely use her again.

Gaby did my make-up for my wedding this past November along with all of my bridesmaids. She did a phenomenal job! We had a 1920s theme and she was able to do our make-up to fit with that theme. And it lasted all day without making me feel like I had a lot of stuff on my face. My bridesmaids all loved their makeup as well. She was also so calm and made me feel calm as well on what can be a stressful day. I highly recommend her!

I can't say enough about how talented Gabriela is. After another make-up artist cancelled a week before my sister's wedding, she was able to accomodate my sister and four bridesmaids including myself. She was so understanding of the whole situation and came to our home early before another wedding she had scheduled on the same day. Gabriela is amazing and totally captured my vision for my 2013 wedding. I found Gabriela online and fell in love with her work on her webpage. What really drew me in was her diverse range of work. As an African American woman, I wanted to find an artist who could really work with my skin tone as well as the various shades within my wedding party. I scheduled a trial with Gabriela and it went well. She was on time and she brought a nice collection of makeup to test on me. I was very pleased with how patient she was as I was not entirely sure how I wanted my eye makeup to be for my wedding. She recommended shades that went well with my look and soon we were set with how my face would be for my wedding.
