Makeup by Kim Bassette

Kim was amazing! I live in Seattle and flew to Delaware for our wedding. She was always accommodating with all of the questions I had and my schedule. I booked a last minute flight and asked if she could do my makeup trial and she squeezed me in! The salon that she works out of is very welcoming and has a great atmosphere. She is a super talented award winning artist (and a licensed esthetician - big plus!). I wanted to make sure I booked an artist that could do any look that my girls wanted, not just traditional makeup glam, because I wanted them to be able to have fun with it if they wanted. I also wanted to make sure the person I booked has worked with different skin types and tones. Kim checked all the boxes and more. We all loved our makeup - I've never felt prettier - and it lasted ALL day and night. She even gave us great tips on how to make the makeup last - lean into the tissue when you're crying! If I lived in Delaware, I would not only use her as a makeup artist, but I would also become a client for all other beauty needs.

Kim did a beautiful job on my and bridal party’s makeup! I am particular about how my makeup is done and it was everything I envisioned it to be! She can do anything you desire. Between my bridal party and I there were all different types of looks from natural, to subtle , to glam, and they were all done beautifully.

I have used Kim before for other events prior to my wedding, and no matter what they occasion is, she has been amazing! She is willing to travel for your event, and brings everything you might need; my bridesmaids and mom absolutely loved their makeup and it lasted all night!

After plans with an initial hair and make up artist I had fell through (just 2 months before my wedding!), I had to find another team. Kim was referred to me by quite a few people and so I reached out in hopes she’d be available on my wedding date. Sure enough she was! Kim was so kind and professional from our very first interaction all the way through to beautifying the last girl on my wedding day! She’s a true professional and asked several important questions before make up application; such as: whether we have dry, normal or oily skin, skin sensitivities, any allergies/bad reactions to products etc. before, is the ceremony indoor/outdoor etc. She thought of every possible aspect that would impact make up, to make sure it was done right! Kim had several different pricing packages to choose from that best suited me and my bridal party. We had a trial prior to the wedding and on the wedding day itself, I can’t say enough great things! She did AMAZING! She had an assistant with her, as my bridal party was fairly big, and she was just as amazing! Everything went smoothly and enough time was allotted to complete each face of make up and me and all my girls (6 bridesmaids, my mother and mother in law) all loooved their look and felt beautiful and confident! Thank you so much Kim for making me and all my girls feel and look amazing on my wedding day! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone else! :)

I have been working with Kim for quite some time now, and she has steadily and continued to improve and amaze me. She was the perfect person to hire on my wedding day. She gave me a perfect facial the week before to make sure my skin was hydrated and glowing for my big day! The day of, she was on time and prepared. She rolled with the punches when my hair was taking a bit longer than expected, and gave me the exact look done in our trial (but better!). She stayed during the ceremony for touch ups, and overall assured me that the day would be perfect (it was!). My experience with Kim had been awesome for my recent wedding. She was recommended to me and I am so grateful that I met Kim. She is very knowledgeable about skincare and makeup and professional. She provided make up service to many of my bridesmaids and they were also simply beautiful and still natural. From the beginning of the wedding-planning process, it was very important to me to have perfect makeup (especially with my lack of skill). Kim delivered above and beyond. I never thought I could feel so beautiful - and that was just the trial run. On the wedding day, she made me feel a million times more amazing. I probably said it a million times to her BUT it's so rare to find someone who recreates your dream-wedding-pinterest-look to a T. Kim was timely, professional, obviously SO sweet, and open to any of my ideas as well-- all the while applying her expertise to make it perfect. The trial was great-and I had noticed I wanted more "lash." When the wedding day came--she was prepared for ANYTHING especially a more glammy lash. She did my sister as well and omg...I can't even. Kim is amazing!! From day one she has been in constant communication with me. She was even traveling the week before my wedding & emailed me just to let me know! My trial & wedding day makeup was flawless. All my girls looked amazing. She even helped calm my nerves when I started to get those butterflies! She is professional, kind, prompt, & stays on track! I highly recommend her!!!

From the moment I contacted Kim, she was very professional, timely, and efficient. I do not wear makeup, so I'm sensitive about the way I look with it on. During my makeup trial she was very good. She listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable. My makeup was flawless and I couldn't barely feel it on my face, which is something I was worried about. During my wedding, Kim arrived promptly, made everyone feel comfortable and glammed me up just a little bit more for my wedding. Everyone loved my makeup! I will definitely be coming back to Kim on the rare occasions I wear makeup and for some facials as well <3

Kim saved me! I hired a friend to do my wedding make up and he cancelled the night before our big day. Through friends and contacts, Kim heard what happened and volunteered to come to my rescue. She was WONDERFUL! I wanted basic, slightly enhanced, classic make up. She definitely delivered. Kim is very talented, professional, super sweet and personable. My only regret is not finding her before getting ditched by my original make up guy! It would have saved me a lot less stress. Hire Kim if you want talent that is reliable and dependable!

Kim and her team did an amazing job on my wedding hair and makeup! I got married at Thousand Acre Farm on October 8th. Kim and her team were on time and efficient! We had a small window to get hair and makeup done for 7 people total and we were right on time. They are professional and a very sweet team. I even made changes from my trial makeup to the day of makeup and Kim had no objections what so ever! Guest said that my hair looked like a work of art and my makeup was flawless! Everyone was stunning; I highly recommend!

Kim is absolutely fantastic! I'm beyond happy that I booked her for my wedding (May 2016). I love the fact that she came to me for the trial and has such a professional setup! Her personality is just perfect - she's calm and listens to exactly what you want. I've never liked having my makeup done professionally until I had it done by Kim. I highly recommend her!!

Kim is great! Her professionalism and her calmness helped me stay calm and collected the morning of my wedding. Although, I switched the look of my makeup from my trial, Kim was understanding and understood the look I was going for :D

From the moment I interacted with Kim, by email, to the make up trial at my home and the day of my wedding she was amazing. Kim is very calm and warm, very understanding and patient and always professional. She did an amazing job with my bridal party and everyone was very pleased with how their make up looked. We had a soft natural tone for all the bridal party ladies and she nailed it. She was able to do beautiful make up on all skins tones which was a big plus for me. I highly recommend her services! She has great communication and follow up skills, she is very punctual and she made adjustments that were needed with no fuss! She was terrific!

I booked makeup by Kim for hair and makeup services for my engagement pictures and my wedding for myself and my bridal party. They did an amazing job they have great rates and i would recommend them to everyone!

Kim did my makeup and Liz did my hair for my engagement photos. Kim was very easy to communicate with and very responsive even before I booked her. Kim and Liz came on time and did what I requested. My hair came out a bit tighter/curlier than I hoped for (I wanted loose waves) but it ended up being fine. Kim happily made changes when I pointed things out. I ended up making some small changes to my makeup once they left but nothing too major that I couldn't do myself. Kim and Liz were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. In terms of quality of makeup and hair, I'd give them a 8/10 but I'd rate their service a 10/10. I would definitely book them again.

Kim did a great job! I was extremely satisfied with the results. She was also very professional and a perfectionist which I loved because my makeup came out to be gorgeous and exactly how I wanted. I also didn't confirm my appointment until the night before of my wedding and she still answered me right away. Thanks Kim!

Kim is fantastic! She did my makeup for myself and most of the girls in my wedding party. She is great at what she does and very personable. I loved her and so did my girls! The makeup stayed on all through the night. Most of the girls and myself had makeup done in the early AM and it looked great. I highly recommend her. She will come to wherever you need her to be and is well worth every penny.

My wedding coordinator set up a couple appointments with two experienced makeup artists. The first one was by a woman that was very nice, but didn't seem to truly understand what I was going for. So I tried Makeup by Kim Bassette. From the start at our first consultation, she seemed to really understand my needs and the look I was going for at my wedding. She was very professional and seemed fully focused on the look that was suitable for me as well as what I wanted. I felt truly confidant from the consultation she would be able to capture the beauty I never knew existed!! When wedding day arrived, she was on time, didn't mess around, got down to business and recreated the look I fell in love with. People at the wedding were amazed at my makeup. She enhanced and highlighted my beauty and covered any possible flaws. I would use her again in a heartbeat! Even if it were just for pictures to send out on Christmas cards...she was that good and so worth it! Even after all the dancing and running around to greet everyone at the wedding, my makeup stayed on flawlessly!Thank you again, Kim... for working your magic and making feel so beautiful that day and night!
